Ruby painted nails drummed against the scarred wooden table as Sugar merely sighed in irritation of the overall quality of her current situation. The leather booth she was sitting in was ripped and torn, but it did give her a clear view point of the boisterous bar in front of her. The sole entrance was her only focus as her concentration wavered as Sugar coughed from the distinct smell of cigarette smoke on top of all the other...wonderful smells a bar like this would attract. Her nose wrinkled in particular at overbearing scent of shitty cigars, while a part of her was surprised she could pick it out out of all them. Whatever brand her boss smoked didn't smell nearly as horrible.

The sudden sound of a nasally throat being cleared got the woman's attention as a rough-looking and vexed waitress repeated her question "Ya, gonna order something or what..Pinky...". The tone had a hint of condensation it as Sugar merely gave a light smile before stating sweetly "Just a coke is fine...hold the liquor..My stature doesn't exactly favor booze..". The waitress snorted as she scrawled down the order and left with a huff, Sugar merely rolled her eyes..sure her current attire was a bit much..but it would clearly get the attention of the supposed Intel broker. Running a hand through her curled locks as the duo colored brown and pink ringlets brushed against her cheek in an elegant up-do. While her attire caught a few eyes as she smoothed out a wrinkle on the arm of the pink on white tail coat. Black jeans clung to her figure like sap as did the polished boots on her feet. For 'negotiating' purposes her upper attire was something a bit slinkier. A deep v-neck white silk shirt giving only the faintest glimpse of her black underclothing..it wouldn't hurt right?

While cool green eyes flickered up with only faint recognition as a glass was placed nosily in front of her as Sugar merely drawled "You know, I can't imagine why you are still stuck in a shit hole like this...". Ruby painted nails flicked against the smudged glass of her drink as she smirked lazily "Oh wait, ya I do..your guest service manner is shit...". The waitress merely glared at the small woman's insult before taking a hesitant step back as her right iris briefly showed a speck of pink. A disappointed expression flickered over Sugar's face as she merely relaxed her grip on the closed parasol in her lap "Now, when exactly will I get to use this..Hopefully soon". Her disappointment was furthered as her taste buds were betrayed by the spiced flavor of Dr. Pepper instead of soothing coke. *This night can only get better right* Sugar thought hopefully as she pushed the incorrect drink away sulkily. As long as the supposed broker brought some entertainment to her night..

Meeting in a public place was the most logical choice for both parties, which was why Illium set up the shoddy bar as their meeting place. He had managed to obtain Apollo's contact information thanks to a gang that had bought weapons from him and his business, but lacked any kind of firewall on their network. Taking their data took literally no effort. Learning of their trade in arms dealing gave Illium a grand idea, as he was looking to build something himself. If they created weapons and sold them, then that must mean they have materials as well. An encrypted email was sent over to his address, stating the terms and proposition. A specific list of materials in exchange for information on many of the local gangs and lowlifes, information that could be used to extort them. Just to prove he was serious about the Intel he had, Illium included the home addresses of three members of a Yakuza gang that had previously given Apollo and his compatriots some trouble. It was a generous token that would hopefully nurture their future dealings. A stipulation of their first meeting, however, was that he sent the lead designer/inventor for the negotiations.

Illium watched the very pink, umbrella-toting woman from across the room. She assumed he would be entering after her, based on how her eyes were glued to the door. He had made sure to get here early though, so that he could check the potential business partner for her quirk. The more knowledge he had about her before going in, the better. His eyes flashed red for a moment as Scanner activated, his eyebrows raising a bit as the information came in. Identity Theft? That's a dangerous ability. She could potentially impersonate anyone, so long as she has touched their face. He appreciated that her quirk was similar to his, at least. Neither of their quirks were inherently destructive or terrifying, but they were immeasurably valuable if used correctly. That being said, Illium was sure of one thing now. He would not be letting this woman anywhere near his face. This was a shame, given her cute face and attire, but sacrifices had to be made for the sake of personal security. Then again, now that he knew her quirk, he also questioned whether that was her real face at all.

"Don't drink that, the horrid waitress spit in it." Illium warned his business partner in the making as he sat down across from her and pushed up his glasses. "My name is Illium Peora, pleased to make your acquaintance." Illium held out a pale hand, then got down to business whether she accepted the handshake or not. "Thank you for meeting me, I've been having trouble procuring some necessary materials for a project I'm working on, and I heard that your boss has been having trouble finding a steady flow of income lately." He explained matter-of-factly, laying out his general thought process behind setting up this potential deal. "I believe we can assist one another." There was no way this negotiation would go off exactly how he wanted it (simple and easy), but being professional and forthright about the proposal was a good starting point. Now it depended on how the woman across from him reacted. Based on her attitude and response, Illium would be able to learn more about her and the organization she worked for. His Emerald, analytical eyes watched her closely.

Green eyes widened in surprise at the warning from the complete stranger as her delicate hand pushed the glass from her person even further. Gritting her teeth in irritation at the foul play as her voice hissed out "That bitch isn't getting a tip now..unless it's going to be a knife up her..". Her right eye flickered pink similar to a light bulb about to short out, as her temper flared upward. Still, it retained it's grass-like color as Sugar sighed softly. Fucking up another deal wouldn't win her any points in Apollo's book. Finally noticing the stranger sitting down across from her as he smoothly introduced himself and offered a handshake.

Despite her darker mood, Sugar forced a polite smile on her face and gently shook the offered hand before chirping out "It's pleasure to meet you, Mr.Peora..if you would be so kind as to call me Sugar. All my associates do..". Ending her intro with a flirtatious wink as she neatly crossed her legs over each other and silently listened to the man's proposition. A series of questions flowed over with each fact introduced Project? Well this guy looks like the inventor type. Wait..how did he know..about that..problem Sugar thought as several expressions flickered over her blank face; boredom..curiosity..concern and a touch of irritation.

Crimson lips merely curled upward in a teasing smirk as Sugar merely quirked an eyebrow up in silent inquiry as her tone was playful, but with an underlying danger to it "Oh, so you have a proposition for me..already. How forward of you..most partners try to at least butter up the other person. Now, since that common curiosity has been skipped over, I suppose it's up to me to buy you a drink". Pausing for a moment in her speech as the sound of glass breaking interrupted her as she had 'accidentally' sent the soiled glass over the edge with a single finger.

Her smirk merely widened as she gave a shrug..accidents did happen sometimes before she folded her hands together "So, Mr. Peora, I seem to have gone temporally deaf during that marvelous intro or..well I am horrible at reading lips..but it seems you had..sensitive financial information in your convenience . Given that unfortunate circumstance, I am willing to give you my full attention now..". Her tone was warm and sweet, even as it chided at another waitress who had fluttered over to begin the task of picking up the broken glass "You really do need to get better tables here..". The waitress merely nodded her head before readying her notepad as Sugar smiled at Illium before purring out "Pick your poison....I am thinking a Cosmopolitan ". Drinking in combination of her small stature and fast metabolism didn't do her any favors as a light weight..but one drink wouldn't hurt. The attentive waitress jolted the order down, before glancing at her bespectacled associate.

Illium couldn't say the small outburst of rage was wholly unexpected, but it did surprise him initially. The girl looked so...sweet, which made it even more ironic once he learned of her alias. She did shake his hand and gave her own polite introduction though, which won points with the info broker. She apparently didn't like it very much that he skipped any social niceties that came along with negotiations. For Illium, it was a simple transaction. He knew what they wanted, she knew what he wanted, it was just s matter of laying out the details and finalizing the deal. "I simply don't like wasting time, mine or yours. Please excuse my bold negotiation tactics." Illium apologized with a grin and small bow of his head. Despite the shady nature of his business, he preferred to be transparent when it came to his intentions. He had no problem if others knew his objectives or opinions, it was only his data and information he was truly protective of. Despite Sugar's slightly dangerous tone, he would say the discussion was starting off quite nicely. At the very least, no one was threatening to kill him yet.

His potential business partner mentioned buying him a drink, which made Illium pause for a moment to think. In any normal circumstance, he would refuse. Alcohol did not help the brain to function and was therefore unnecessary in an intellectual conversation such as this. Then again, their meeting was set up to take place in a bar setting (Illium slightly regretted his choice now) and Sugar was the one offering the drink. Would his choice of drink affect her opinion of him? Could it influence their deal? Illium believed so, and decided to go against his better judgement because of this. "I'll just have a White Russian." The blue-haired man informed their waitress. He then sighed, mentally preparing to address Sugar again. It immediately irked him that she had not fully been paying attention before and was seemingly asking him to repeat himself. Illium did not like repeating himself needlessly. She did declare that he had her full attention now, however, so this gave him some comfort. Her stunt of "accidentally" pushing over the glass didn't faze him one bit though. He never really did like this place. Due to his pet peeve, Illium decided not to just repeat himself, and instead rephrased his proposition.

"I have been following the movements and dealings of local gangs and criminals that call Tokyo their territory. You share this turf with them, and if you had leverage against some of these nefarious groups, then it might assist you in finding extra avenues for income." Illium began, pushing up his glasses as he spoke. "In exchange for some of this valuable Intel, I would like to be paid with materials needed for a personal design I am working on. Is this something you and your boss would be able to provide me?" He asked, and even though he knew the answer was "Yes.", he wanted to hear it from her. That, and having her confirm verbally would make her part of the discussion, rather than him simply talking at her. As he asked this, Illium took out a rolled up piece of paper, which would reveal a list of items on it if opened, the same items he had included in their first email. It was a request for flexible alloy, electrical wires, circuit boards, metal mesh, and suitable cloth that would be comfortable, but also not burn if the surrounding area became too hot.

The list would surely seem odd to most, but for anyone with a similar mind for ingenuity and tinkering, it wouldn't be difficult to figure out his project. While none of the items he was requesting for were abnormally rare, they were still outside of Illium's grasp. He lacked the funds to purchase them outright. For a business built upon creating and selling weaponry though? This would probably be easy for them to obtain. Illium didn't care if they did it legally or illegally, he didn't need to know. So long as he got the materials, he would be more than satisfied.

A White Russian. A simple enough drink with a surprising amount of hidden flavor. Surprisingly sweet choice for a stiff like this. Sugar thought as the blue-haired man coolly placed his own order. A pleased smile on her face she merely nodded at the polite waitress before handing a unnamed amount of bills to her as Sugar quipped out "Wonderful, we cannot wait to enjoy them..I am sure..". The waitress merely gave a polite dip before bustling off to begin their orders leaving the two potential business partners alone once more.

Her smile dimmed a bit as the info broker lived up to his reputation explaining his tracking of the movements and activities of their competition. While weapons manufacturing was their primary business, it wouldn't be terrible to have few minor secondary incomes. While her curiosity was peaked as the man's proposition of payment in the form of materials, that was a change of pace. Much of the time, intel would be sold for actual currency as hard cash. A smirk was exchanged for her smile as she was less surprised that an intellectual-looking man would be into inventing. "Well, it seems you are living up the reputation of reliable info brokers..I am sure my employer would be willing to agree to your terms..".

Gently plucking the paper list from the man's relaxed grip as she silently scanned the list before looking up a curious expression on her face. Placing the list back on the table as she folded her hands neatly before chirping out "Those materials should be easy enough to provide..". While her chipper tone softened a bit as she picked through her words "If you intel proves beneficial and accurate that is..My boss isn't one to settle for poor quality". A giggle escaped her as she gestured to herself fiddling with the fabric of her shirt collar "I mean look at me, do I look cheap to you..". Batting her eye lashes teasingly as she clapped her hands together in delight as a bright pink drink with a lime garnish was set down gently. Followed by the man's more subdued drink. Her crimson lips pressed against the cool glass of the martini, taking a small sip Did I really just market myself as a whore..Wonderful phrasing, there. Sugar thought flustered.

Setting the drink down as she gave a faint smile of apology "Forgive me. Illium. Given you aren't a man to waste time as you put it, I am merely wondering if you could enlighten me of the eventual fate of these materials". A small scoff escaped her as Sugar teased "I mean, I doubt it's a computer build you are after..No. I may not look it..but to my eyes I can see a weapon or dare I say it costume coming from it". Tipping her head to the side as her curls framed her face as she pouted sarcastically "A straight-laced gentleman like you trying to get into...illicit activities..say it isn't so...".. A hint of flirtation seeped into the word illicit as who knew how loose the man was with his material quantity.Yet, even in the world today when superpowers were the status quo..vigilantism was still frowned on regardless of the 'good' that came out of it. Thought a nagging feeling in the back of her mind prickled that it wasn't good deeds, the man was going to perform..

Hearing that she believed him to be reliable based on their short conversation elicited a chuckle from him and a smile. "I appreciate the vote of confidence." While things were going to plan thus far, he had to admit he was a little bit surprised. He assumed this would be a harder sell, but then again, the negotiations had really just begun. Knowing that she and her employer were agreeable to his idea for the deal, however, was certainly a good thing. She gently took the note from his hands and began scanning it, then placed it on the table before informing him that the items on the list would indeed be easy to provide. Sugar then clarified that this was only if his intel was as accurate as he claimed it to be. The woman then asked playfully if she looked cheap to prove the point about their interest in quality. The comment was a bit out of place to say the least, but Illium wasn't fazed as he looked her up and down. "Given the monetary value of your frilly clothing and umbrella, along with the upkeep it must require to keep your flawless complexion, I would say no, you do not look cheap." He answered honestly and flatly, before taking a sip of the White Russian that was just delivered before him.

Sugar continued on with the conversation, getting into what Illium predicted would come. Of course a fellow inventor would recognize what the components could be potentially used for, especially after seeing the entire list. He didn't mind though. While he would've preferred to keep it more under-wraps, he knew there was no harm in sharing. Even if this girl knew what he was planning on making, there was no way for her to steal the design. Two different inventors creating something off of the same idea will construct entirely different creations. The only way to truly replicate it would be to have the blueprints, and those were locked up in Illium's head. Giving a taste of what he had in store for the item list would make for riveting conversation.

"Nothing to apologize for, Miss Sugar. Innovative minds are endlessly curious. I've never been one to believe in that superstition about curiosity and cats, after all." Illium admitted with another chuckle, gently sloshing the contents of his glass before sipping more of the White Russian. Outwardly the corner of his mouth dipped into a frown for a short moment after taking that drink, but inwardly he was grimacing and almost disgusted. Alcohol was never a drink the bespectacled man enjoyed, no matter how small the amount or how sweet the drink. He was one who tended to prefer natural juice or purified water, something healthy for the body. Alcohol was certainly not healthy, nor did it tickle his taste buds. "You are correct in assuming I am not building a computer. The costume comment was a bit more on the nose." He continued, using an index finger to point closely to her cute nose, but without touching it.

"As an individual with a passive quirk such as yourself, I believe you can empathize with my plight. I too have a quirk that is not inherently destructive or powerful." He began to elaborate, dramatically changing his posture to that of a man dejected and down on his luck. He was exaggerating for effect, of course, but why not have some fun with it? Plus, she would be confused about his hint at her quirk, more likely than not. He was interested in seeing her reaction, which he assumed would be an entertaining sight. "Because of that, it is imperative that I use my ingenuity and the technology at my disposal to construct something that will enhance my strengths, while supporting my weaknesses. As for my future endeavors, I go wherever the information leads me. Those places aren't always...wholesome." He shrugged, obviously not much bothered by this fact. It was a talent of Illium's to speak about details, while also keeping them suitably vague. At the very least, now she would understand his reasoning for wishing to obtain these items. "Now, since we're sharing ideas, why not speak of your umbrella, hm?" Illium suddenly said with a smirk, his eyes glancing over at her parasol before looking back up at her. "I refuse to believe you brought that just to protect you from the rain."

A delicate blush matched the shade of her drink for a moment as the man in front of her shamelessly looked her up and down before coolly taking a sip of his drink while Sugar had to find her tongue for moment as she stated sweetly "Flatterer". His assumption was correct as half her pay did go into the immense task of personal upkeep, aside from her acquisition of a new 'collection'. A small laugh escaped her as the man brushed aside the thought of superstitions before she inquired "Ah, but surely a man of your field believes in luck then..if at least that".

Pausing to take another healthy sip of her drink as a coy smile settled on her face "Although, I shouldn't be surprised if you turned out to be a cat person..suspicious character complete with a cat on his lap in a darkened room...Cliche but it would work.". While her smile twitched with effort as the man's index finger came to bit too close for her personal comfort while a small, if not strained giggle as a victory for her close guess. Invaders of her personal bubble were generally met with a hiss of warning, but she settled for gently resting her hand on the umbrella. A reassurance of control and protection if were ever needed.

While her grip merely tightened a fraction as the man lamented about the negatives of a passive quirk. Her charming expression faltered for a moment as a flash of suspicion streaked across it before she merely allowed her smile to tremble just a bit for effect as Sugar sniffed "Oh, you poor soul.So few can feel the troubles we, unlucky few have been gifted with..". Sighing as she drained her almost empty glass silently chastising herself that drinking wouldn't exactly ease her worries. What did the man know about her Quirk..that info could be extremely valuable to law enforcement as her current appearance was quite..distinctive.

While man's talk of technology made her nod in agreement for a moment until her warm expression became distant at the inquiry of her parasol. Gently placing it the table in front of her as her ebony clad hands caressed the cool black steel of the handle for a moment. Her green eyes flickered back up to the man as her tone was sweet, almost too high pitched "Rain or sunny days, you would be surprised at the situation a tool such as this can be used in..". Seeking to distract the inquisitive mind from the unsuspecting weapon on the table as she purred out "Unless you think some heartless monster would attempt to accost my person in the shadows of an alleyway. My skin crawls just imagining the state of my clothes..far too many rips and skin shown to be appropriate...I do believe my boss would burn it in that state". In a literal sense, that was extreme possibility if that problem ever did occur.

A faint blush decorated her face at the thought, but for all the improbable reasons, that situation alone made her heart race just a bit faster. Musclebound thug faces had always been the best to toy with and the musical sound of breaking bones made any night better. A few scraps and bruises were worth the trouble of improving her mood after the altercation..nothing like getting her blood pumping.

"I only speak the truth." Illium stated with a small grin. He had only been listing facts about her appearance and attire, but if she took it as a compliment, then he would gladly take credit for it. "Oh and of course I believe in luck. It's an undeniable part of our daily life. Chance is a force of nature that we cannot control, though there are things we can do to tip the scale in our favor." Illium explained his viewpoint on the subject, though wasn't entirely certain why she brought up luck in the first place. Nonetheless, he was happy to engage in intriguing conversation. She then made the assumption that he was a cat person, to which he let out a stifled chuckle.

"I would say I enjoy the company of cats more than dogs, as they tend to be more complacent and require less attention, but despite that I do not have enough time to care for a pet of my own." He told her nonchalantly, then seemed to ponder for a moment. "Though I like the image that you painted just now, perhaps I will look into adopting a feline friend to assist in scheming with me." Illium added playfully, though he was only half joking. Having a companion while plotting his next move or designing a new gizmo would be quite enjoyable, now that she had brought it to his attention. "You, on the other hand, seem like the exotic pet type. I'd guess something like a ferret or chinchilla would be up your alley."

After that brief invasion of personal space, Illium made a mental note of how she defensively reached for her umbrella. This signaled to him that she was definitely not the touchy-feely type, along with giving away that the umbrella gave her comfort. For a criminal mind like herself, the umbrella was more likely than not her weapon. If it wasn't, then she would've reached somewhere else for a concealed knife or gun. Oh no, that umbrella was more than meets the eye and she accidentally confirmed his hunch. Luckily, it seemed like Sugar was still in a playful mood as she went along with his dramatization of their shared situation about quirks. "Ah, but both you and I know that isn't really true. We are blessed to be the trump card, the unexpected factor that most cannot account for. Well, except for me that is." While not a particularly arrogant person, Illium granted himself this one comment as a said it with a confident smirk. He wasn't merely speaking rubbish, after all. No one could hide their quirk from him, so while his current skill level with the ability didn't give him much more than the basics, it made it much more difficult for his enemies to get the jump on him. It was an advantage he had to capitalize on at all times, lest he be left to the hounds.

It was a surprise to see Sugar begin to blush slightly after speaking of what thugs might do to her and how her boss would react. Was she...embarrassed by the thought? It wasn't like she was particularly hiding this, or at least hiding it well. He decided to push on this, as it might give more information about her or her boss. The umbrella was still an object of interest, but he had gotten what little he needed to know about it. "A heartless monster wouldn't blush, Miss Sugar, so I know that is not you. What is it that has brought you to such a state? The mention of violence, or perhaps your relationship with your boss is closer than you've been letting on?" He asked inquisitively, leaning forward just slightly while he rested his chin on the top of his elevated hand. He might've been playing the mischievous, nosy stranger, but he was still cautious as he watched her for any sudden movements. While he was enjoying this immensely, he still refused to let this woman anywhere near his face.

Though the more they chatted, the more he at least entertained the idea.

Laughing softly at the man's comment that he would possibly invest in a furry feline in the future "Be sure to find an arch nemesis by the name of Bond then..". While she paused for moment to give thought to his suggestion "I believe a ferret would better than one of those over-grown squirrels, exceptionally limber creatures..". Their little feet were utterly adorable, not that she would mention them out loud.

Her grip on the parasol in her umbrella relaxed ever slightly before giving a wink at the man's confident smirk followed by his remark "Well I am sure you must be some trump card...I wonder what your suit and rank would be in a deck of cards. My personal guess is the spades..perhaps the joker for your apparent trump". The arrogant attitude was a mere ripple in the conversation given the overwhelming attitude and persistent challenge that was her boss daily. Letting out a sigh of frustration at the apt man's notice of her scarlet cheeks. She was only human..and had always had something that made her tick.

Tilting her head to the side at the man's comment of her 'nature' as not being heartless. A sly smile on her face at first her only answer to intrusive question "We all have our tastes...in comparison to others in the world I am sure mine..would be considered quite normal. Right?". Her answer was impossibly zig-zagged while her smile gave nothing away to the truth of either question. Was the mere thought of staining her hands with her own blood and a nameless victim exciting to her..possibly. Nothing could desire the utterly euphoric sensation that curled inside her when adding another mask to her collection..compared to the rush of murder..it was impossibly dull.

Mimicking the man's posture with her own as she merely traced her lip with a flick of her tongue before purring out "Now, as for your question if I am currently fucking..". Mischief danced her cool green eyes as she nonchalantly brushed one boot against the man's leg "my boss..well". A giggle escaped her crimson lips to heighten the tension before she deadpanned "That would be incredibly rude to do during a business meeting..for all parties involved..". The answer wasn't a clear yes or no..as the small woman merely gave another bat of her eyes before drawling out "Unless you happen to have voyeuristic intentions..which I feel would be true or else..you..wouldn't be asking about carnal pleasures at all..Right?".

This conversation was turning into an interesting one to say the least. The man knew how to play the game of words..to say the least. Attractive enough to her own eyes, especially his own emerald eyes were remarkable. While a small part of her wondered what their shade would be the cool lighting of a run-down motel...

Both her replies about the arch nemesis and her preference on ferrets caused Illium to chuckle, her responses not disappointing him in the realm of entertainment. It was interesting, how their discussion could lead somewhere so silly, and yet switch back to dangerous territory so seamlessly. Her suggestion of him being the spade or joker made him pause for a moment as he honestly contemplated his answer. "Likening me to the joker could be interpreted as a backhanded compliment, but I shall take it nonetheless. As for what I think, I would say the Jack of Spades. Spades at your suggestion, and Jack due to it being an important and necessary member of the face card family, though rarely getting the spotlight." He mused aloud, then raised his right palm up slightly as he went into a new point. "But, in certain games, like Blackjack, they are immeasurably important." Illium finished with a sly grin, knowing Sugar would be able to follow his metaphor.

While her initial answer was nothing but empty words, Illium still found them amusing. "Oh worry not about that, because normalcy doesn't really exist. Everyone and everything is unique, which is part of the reason my job is so interesting." He explained, glancing down at his White Russian once before looking back up. "Only those in charge get to choose the definition of normal." This point was less of a fact and more his own opinion about life, but it wasn't one he got to voice often, so this was as opportune a time as any. Surprisingly, this woman seemed to enjoy partaking in the intellectual aspects of the conversation, something Illium admired. He had assumed that the weapons designer they sent would surely be a smart individual, but he was also expect someone more...brutish and cutthroat. Thankfully, this had been a pleasant exchange thus far. Oh there were landmines that each of them had needed to navigate throughout this discussion, but they each had enough tact to not completely upset what balance was held between them. It was like a risky, verbal dance.

Illium was not prepared for Sugar to jump straight to mentioning the potential of her "fucking [her] boss," however. He had eluded to it, of course, but he hadn't intended on taking it quite that far. She was right, it would be rude for either party to discuss such things during a business meeting. She then went ahead and accused him of enjoying voyeurism, which wasn't too far off from the truth, though he wouldn't let on. How could an information broker, one who is constantly yearning for more intel, more stimulus, not enjoy spying on others? It was a requirement of the job. It just so happened that when you keep surveillance on people, you tend to catch their most vulnerable moments as well.

"I apologize, it was my intention to pry to simply satisfy my own curiosity. You are correct that it is unbecoming to speak of such intimate things during business negotiations." Illium agreed with a slight bow of his head with a hand over his chest. Once he looked back up, Illium reached for his drink and downed the remains, then grin at the woman across from him. "In that case, might I suggest we close the deal? Then we wouldn't be constrained by such formalities." His emerald eyes lowered slightly as he continued to smirk, a new plan forming. "My proposal is beneficial to each of us and you even claimed that your boss would be pleased with it. If I feed you information and you send me items on the list equal to the value of that intel, then so long as we each keep our end of the bargain, I think there is nothing more to discuss on that matter." Illium claimed as his eyes wandered while detailing their deal, since the man was speaking off the top of his head. He then pushed up his glasses, his eyes focused upon her immaculate face again.

"Reviewing our joint business endeavor was necessary and entertaining, but how about we leave this decrepit establishment and go somewhere more exclusive?"

Sugar's body mere shook with silent laughter at the man's interpretation of the card metaphor before commenting 'I didn't think you would be the type to gamble...Call me surprised..". The man before her was becoming a surprising enigma that her curiosity was itching to unwrap. Still the man's response to her potential inclinations was surprising as her gaze dropped to her glass, while a finger traced the top of the glass. While her eyes met his bespectacled gaze as she snipped "Gods help those poor souls then...". Much her life had been one of her own choosing and not all those decisions were the best choices.

Such as the heat she felt building up at the base of her spine from the effects of the alcohol made everything that much more intriguing. Her fast metabolism didn't help how quickly drinks broke down..as another blush decorated her cheeks from the man's 'chivalrous' apology. Dammit, drinking was a poor choice still the haze settling over her logic was a bit too strong to wipe away. A delicate eyebrow arched upward at the man's proposition to close the deal as she merely agreed with a small nod to her head.

While genuine surprise showed on her face at the next surprisingly suggestive proposition. Laughter bubbled up from her throat as she wiped a stray tear from her face "Never thought a seemingly straight-laced gentlemen like yourself would try to pick up a woman in a bar..". Mulling over the request as she drummed her fingers on the tabletop, with a smirk on face as she popped up suddenly from her seat "I need another drink...". Her hand gently brushed the man's shoulder as she walked passed him before arriving her destination as her energetic hand movements in explaining her drink to the bartender.

A few minutes later, clear liquid swayed like water in the shot glass she held in her hand. Her boots made a soft chuffing noise against the floor as she angled herself next to the seated man. A bit of vodka wouldn't hurt anyone as the liquid burned her throat on it's way down, while a flash of her tongue darted out to catch a stray droplet. Goosebumps rippled on her skin from the sudden heat as she leaned forward bracing herself on either side of the man as her voice purred out "Thats two drinks, I brought myself..I hope you are going to be able to make it up to me..". A smile was evident in her voice as she continued "If you are being serious, which judging by your tone, this isn't a joke. My place is out as my boss can be a bit...possessive". There was slight drop in tone as she inched out the word leaning forward to chime it in the man's ear.

Unfortunately for a select few people in the super-powered world seduction and alcohol wasn't the best combination as her brace faulted for a moment leaving her to scramble for the nearest surface to balance herself. Scarlet streaked across her face, in stark contrast with her green eyes as she found her hands on the man's upper thighs. The smallest of squeaks barely audible slipped from her mouth as the woman hastily straightened back up, grabbed her parasol as it was twirled anxiously in her hands for a moment. Running a hand through a faltering curl as Sugar merely tilted her head to the side as if the blunder hadn't occurred "Well? What's next Specs..." . While a quiet voice in mind merely inquired about the benefits of this tryst..cheaper info next time. A stress relief? Not listening to Apollo bitching about her screwing up -Heh, screwing another business opportunity.

"I am not one to partake in gambling often, though some games can be conquered through calculated choices. As I said, there are ways to tip the scale of luck in our favor." For emphasis, Illium's eyes flashed red for a moment, hinting that his quirk dealt with perception in some way. He wasn't willing to reveal the true nature of his quirk, but he hoped that dropping vague clues would keep the witty woman intrigued, keep her guessing.

He was taken aback at first when Sugar laughed openly at his proposition. She had even shed a tear from that laughter. Had he read the situation and her social cues wrong? He didn't believe so, but then again he was only human, able to make mistakes. He felt a bit of embarrassment from the pit of his stomach, though this cleared up as she spoke up. Apparently Illium had surprised her once more and needed another drink. He smirked and raised a hand for the waitress, ordering himself one more as well. He detested alcohol it's affect on the body, and it's taste, but damn if it didn't make the rigid man feel more socially at ease. At this point, he was focused more on the thrill this mysterious woman offered than logistics or business.

Even though Illium had momentarily invaded her personal space earlier, he had done it to strengthen his words and to tease his negotiation partner in hopes to make her more amiable. This, however, was much different. Sugar ordered her vodka and positioned herself near him. He watched closely as her tongue swiftly licked up the last drop of her drink. Whether this had been done on purpose or not to rile the man up was unknown, but in either case it succeeded. The woman whispered into his ear, sending a slight chill down his spine. He had anticipated many of the possibilities about the outcome of this deal. Being seduced was not one of them.

"I assure you that I am not joking. It's a shame that your boss doesn't know how to share." Illium mused with a sly grin, downing the shot he had ordered. He flinched back and tensed up suddenly when Sugar lost her balance after leaning in, finding a delicate hand now pushing against his upper thigh as she tried to catch herself. An adorable, girlish noise escaped the woman when she straightened herself back up and she seemed to be trying to play off the whole thing like it didn't happen. Illium coughed as a method to help move past the endearing little blunder. Even criminals had their vulnerable moments, and Illium hoped to see more of them very soon.

"While it would certainly be more comfortable if we went back to my humble abode, there are two problems. First, we have only just met and I believe showing you my residence would be a misstep on my part. But more importantly, I am dreadfully impatient." His last sentence was spoken lowly and almost aggressively, as if he truly wasn't able to wait any longer. This game between them had gone on long enough. He stood up and left money at the table, beginning to make his way to the exit before turning toward her once more.

"I know of a nearby motel that isn't a complete pigsty." He then leaned in closer so that their faces were only inches apart, a knowing smirk on his face. "Oh, but I do have one tiny request Miss Sugar, if you'd be so kind to oblige. No touching of my face with your hands. I'm sure we can think of other ways to touch, yes?"

There were few things Sugar had learned about men in her lifetime when drinking. A few became sobbing messes bitching about their lives, others were singers in off-key voices. While the man in front of her was possibly one of her favorite types..flirtatious and eager to play the game. This select business venture had been extremely successful and the possible situation that would be following, would be her personal business. Apollo was strict about these ventures..and the benefits of screwing a reliable info broker who could possibly give out 'friend' discounts on his wares.

Thankfully her blunder hadn't dampened the man's..appetite as the man merely coughed over it before mentioning a nearby motel. While a shy smile followed by a delicate blush was her answer to the man's apparent impatience. So, he expected a delicate little flower to keep his bed warm tonight, how cute. Still fueled by the booze in her gut and the faint heat of lust, Sugar followed after the man like a puppy. The smile turned cool smirk as she noted the man had thrown a few bills on the table, what a gentleman. Her cool green eyes widened in surprise as his bright emerald eyes were suddenly much closer as his request was stated that she keep her hands away from his face.

A innocent look settled on her face as her hands were anything but as they grabbed the man's collar just enough to close distance as her crimson lips clashed his for only a brief moment before she released her grip. Purring out "Well if you insist on ruining the game by adding that rule. I hope you have something better in mind for me to do with my hands..". Lightly shoving the man away from her as a Cheshire smile lined her face as she passed through the open door of the bar. The bright pink parasol opened as well as she angled it over shoulder as she began walking aimlessly just a few steps.

Sighing dramatically as Sugar turned on her heel revealing a few buttons of her silk shirt already popped open revealing the faintest outline of ebony silk quirking her head to the side as she called out "Well, let's get moving Specs..Unless you are already done from one kiss..". Her tone was teasing and easy going..while her mind whirled at the possible benefits from a ..relationship..like this. Maybe, the man's bluff wasn't all bravado. For a brief moment her cool green eyes flickered back to normal as her concentration slipped for the briefest of moments. Distractions could be a curse on her quirk occasionally..besides the man's guess of it's mechanic was surprising. Perhaps he would reveal his own quirk soon enough. A nagging feeling in the back of her head made the quirk familar for some reason..she just couldn't place it.

Illium's smirk broke down into an apprehensive, uncomfortable frown as Sugar's hands grabbed him by the collar. Thanks to his knowledge of her quirk, he was rightfully nervous around those hands as they were much too close to his face for his liking. While his mind was preoccupied with going into a momentary panic, the cautious man was taken by surprise when their lips forcibly clashed together when he was pulled toward her. It only lasted for a short moment, though that was to be expected as the real fun hadn't even started yet. The broker's face was lit up with confusion at first, then settled back into a smirk. He chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "The rule doesn't ruin our game Miss Sugar, it simply allows it to continue." Going into detail was unnecessary, so he just left it at that. If she were to touch his face with those hands, their playful game would end and a much more lethal one would begin. It would be such a shame, Illium thought to himself, as this meeting had gone splendidly. A mixture of business and pleasure, what could be better?

"I have more than a few delightful ideas for those precarious hands of yours, however." Illium stated with a simple smile as he held out his left arm for her to take, then escorted her out of the bar of degenerates. He was likely to never return there, displeased with the quality of service and the upkeep of the establishment, but at least he got a valuable, cute business partner out of the visit. What followed was just icing on the cake.

"These hands should be revered." Illium commented as he lay next to his new business associate in their motel's bed, one arm around her while his other hand held up one of hers, as if he was examining it. His eyes gleamed curiously as he inspected its tender features. "Interesting, how something so dangerous can perform such remarkable feats. Dangerous, yet delicate." He commented with a smirk, gently letting go of her appendage. It wasn't like he had let her do all the work, however, oh no. Thankfully, his Scanner quirk allowed him to analyze much about a person's body. Usually in a combat setting, this might allow him to find weakpoints or openings for attack. In a more intimate setting, he could use this heightened perception to his advantage as well. Illium had to admit that giving into more impure desires was a welcomed distraction from the constant plotting and planning he had to do. For a man like him, under-utilizing his intellect, one of the only weapons he had at his disposal, would mean certain doom. With this pressure almost always upon him, stress relief was a necessity.

The mixture of comfort and stress settled in Sugar's stomach after the dalliance in the motel room. The info broker's word had been true..it really wasn't that shitty of a motel as her bare sensitive skin didn't feel like it had been laying in the footsteps of a thousand twiggy cockroach feet. Instead it was the pleasant feeling of soft cotton that would make any person feel cozy. A soft hum escaped her throat at the man's soft compliments of her hands in one hand and the other on her hip. Unbidden, her toes curled at the recent memory as the man released her captive hand as a wry smirk curled up on her face "So I have been told before..Although those circumstances were much less..friendly than this one..". Her relaxed muscles merely tensed momentarily as Sugar merely huffed into the plush pillow upon glancing at the pale blue lighting of the bedside clock.

It can't really be that late already. Unless my vision is blurred from two drinks..doubtful

Soft popping sounds came from her body as stiffened bones unwound themselves pleasantly as Sugar sat up from the man's grasp allowing the cotton sheets to pool around her hips. Her pink and brown hair in fuzzy waves now as her duel colored eyes danced with excitement flickering from the man's shiny glasses to the relaxed emeralds of her current bed partner. Oversensitive nerves slightly screamed in protest as the cool air of the room contrasted with the warmer sheet, as the pinkette hastily looked around the room before a soft coo escaped her as she managed to find the item she was looking for. The identical time stared back at her as her french-tipped nails fiddled with the technology for a moment. A few texts here and there, before the dull thump of the phone hitting the floor again broke the silence.

A coy smile settled on her face as she straddled her partner with her pink eye seemingly glowing a bit brightly in excitement. The charade of her false green eyes had been given up sometime in the encounter, as her control had occupied with something else entirely. Leaning down to cuddle against the lean form of the man for a moment as a sigh escaped her "You know, it's really horrible to be in on a secret, and not tell the other party..". A soft laugh came from her crimson lips as she sat back up once again as her realization hit her like a train of the possible Quirk the man possessed, how his guess merely peeled back the truth like layers..of a fluffy crumpet.

Oh this is just a ironic coincidence isn't it.

Silence laughter shook her core as Sugar tried to keep her knowing smirk from her face before merely waving it off as a relaxed smile settled on her face as she said "Since, I am terrible at keeping secrets and cannot do..small talk in settings like this, I might as well tell a story..". Clearing her throat dramatically as her left hand trailed down the man's rib line, but stopping above the hip bone "There. On my body is a mistake, but one that I see everyday..just as a reminder..". Gesturing on the exact spot on her own body with her right hand pads gently tracing the pale pink flesh of a ripened cherry connected to it's much darker red sibling with a pale green stem. Her voice became a bit softer and distant "That tattoo I got it after my 18th birthday..stupid right..I think that wasn't my only regret that year...". Blood had been shed by her hands that year as well as it started down the chaotic path that she would never be able to recover from.

Shaking her head of the melancholy memory as mischievous expression decorated her lips as her body dipped down again bracing her hands on the plush pillows beneath the man's head. Gently pressing a kiss to his lips as her words were mere whisper "You know..I will regret this if..I was only one who had suffered a handicap tonight..". Turning her attention to nipping at the man's sensitive throat with the smallest amount of pressure as her hands searched aimlessly on the bed. Pausing in her attentions as a triumphant smile lit up on her face. Her left hand was mere fragments away from breaking his single request, until she merely stuck her tongue out in a teasing manner as her right hand released the fluttering fabric of a strip of bed sheet over his face. It landed covering only a single orb as Sugar innocently shrugged her shoulders before stating plainly "Your turn...". Before waving a delicate hand baring the faintest red markings around her wrists, she had been a bit tied up..to even use them. Cocking her head to the side as she winked "See, I can figure out quirks too..it's something with your eyes..".
