General Appearance: Kasumi is a young lady of slightly above-average height with cords and wires instead of the last quarter of her forearm and hands, though those are really the only memorable things about her. She’s slim and unassuming, with a rather bored, apathetic expression plastered on her face most of the time - except for when she’s at work, where her face goes into “serious mode”.
| Clothing: Her everyday-wear is rather plain and unassuming; simple pants, skirts, and shirts, almost always with a hoodie overtop. While at work, however, she tends toward darker clothes; black jeans, a simple tank top, a black hoodie with “PUNK” emblazoned across the front in bright pink, and a set of headphones at the ready so she can block out the world while she’s plugged in. She has never considered a professional “villain” costume. But no matter what she’s wearing, she always wears gloves of some sort, primarily to hide the wires and cords she has instead of her hands.
| Personality: Quietly apathetic, Kasumi goes about her life caring about little more than her own needs and wants - which mostly boils down to playing video games and relaxing. She sees heroes and even society itself as something of a joke, believing instead that each person should look out only for number one. Although incredibly bright, Kasumi stopped going to school shortly after her father was taken to jail, and as a result of both this and her own reclusive nature, she doesn’t have many friends.

History:
History: Kaitou Kasumi, born to a pair of fated lovers - a man and his secretary. Kaitou Shinzo was a reasonably wealthy businessman, with no Quirk of his own, who first met his eventual wife, the future Kaitou Midori, when she was assigned as his secretary, at a business in Tokyo. Kasumi was never clear about what, exactly, it was that he did at this business; by the time she was old enough to remember things, her dad was out of the picture after finally being identified as the culprit of a series of amazing heists across Japan under the pseudonym “Phantom Thief” - his list of crimes had included stealing famous pieces of art, robbing banks of every cent they had, and even stealing an entire statue during the middle of the day, but he never harmed anyone. To this day, it baffles the police how a man with no Quirk was capable of heists on that magnitude…
Kasumi was only 4 when her father was taken to jail, and then it was just her and her mom all alone in the world, but this was a very hard time for the both of them. Mother and daughter were under intense scrutiny, day and night, for the next few years, as they were suspected accomplices in the Phantom Thief’s work, but after no further leads and no evidence against them, charges were dropped; but this period of time left the impressionable youth with a distaste for the law. Though the little girl remembered loving her father and initially tried to defend him in her little kindergarten class, she quickly found out that society didn’t appreciate thieves, even if they were her father.
Her time up until the age of 16 was rather unremarkable; she had a few friends, but for the most part kept to herself. Her Quirk, the one known as Data Steal, manifested at the expected time, and she played with it whenever she was able - after all, it was similar to her mother’s Quirk (her’s was known as Flash Drive, and allowed her to plug into computers and make backups of files which she stored in her own body - but didn’t allow for manipulation like her daughter’s Quirk), and anything she could do to set herself apart from her scum-of-the-earth father was good in her book. The hero-worship of the toddler gave way, perhaps too quickly, to the apathy of a teenager, and she did everything she could to denounce the man - even going so far as to sign herself up for the entrance exams at UA, so she could stop people like him.
And then, one day after school, the young girl came home to no mother. Though it took a while to figure out what, exactly, had happened, Kasumi soon discovered that her mother had been a casualty in a fight between an exceptionally powerful villain and a team of heroes trying to stop them. When Kaitou Midori’s body was identified and records showed her having a young daughter, a few government agents went to the mother and daughter’s residence, only to find the apartment abandoned. Since that day, Kasumi has embraced fully the art of her father, though on a much smaller scale - where he could pull off the most glorious of heists without a hitch, Kasumi kept to the small-time gigs, primarily robbing gas stations over the course of a week or more by disabling their security measures, making enough money to get by on her own.
She does pretty well for herself; though the apartment building she lives in is a little shady, she likes it that. It means those around her don’t ask too many questions… Such as how a young lady like herself, with no job to speak of, affords the rent and the electronic gadgets she seems to hoard. Anyone who does ask gets the same cut-and-dry response: “It’s a gift from my dad.”

Combat, Stats & Earnings:
| Combat: Kasumi isn’t much of a combatant - though, if forced, the wires and cords she has for hands can be extended and used as whips. For the most part, however, she prefers to stay away from direct combat; if she’s having to fight someone, her plans probably aren’t working out very well. |

They are able to magically plug any of their cords or wires into any machine and take control of said machine. They are also able to extract and download data from the machines into their brain. They can also use their cords and wires as a weapon, like a whip.
Limitations: If the user overuses this Quirk, they will overheat, receiving a penalty to their Stamina (-1 letter debuff for two posts). They are also able to get viruses from downloading data from corrupted machines, which will do -1 Stamina to them for 2 posts as their anti-bodies attempt to destroy the virus.
