General Appearance: Short and thin, but clearly an athlete. Misfortune's slightly darkened skin is marred only by a series of scars across her body. Claws, a tail, and her ears give away her cat based quirk.
| Clothing: Often wears so little you'd be surprised she didn't go out in a swimsuit, but never leaves home without her 'utility belt'.
| Personality: Self-centred to a fault, but often tries to be friendly about it. Misfortune is concerned chiefly with her own self-satisfaction, which is what has led to her life of crime, stealing from the biggest names in South East Asia. She likes to mess with people on both a physical and psychological level, exploiting and enforcing their vulnerability against her, asserting her dominance over them. An extension of her general arrogance, and seemingly quite confident persona, but in reality Misfortune can be argued as something of a coward. Unlike many villains, she's more likely to take flight than fight if caught in her crimes, playing up her ability to continually escape the law as a meaningful feat, rather than letting it be seen as her generally failing to defeat anyone. Ultimately, she is a prideful creature, forever seeking to project the image of a powerful, barely restrained beast of a woman - whether in her own hotel room or that of her next target - and will go to great lengths to ensure that such an image is maintained.

Combat and Stats:
Combat: Misfortune's preferred method of fighting is 'not at all', as conflict means getting caught in one place for too long, which is always a bad thing for a thief. Alternatively, she'll take 'against those who can't fight back', picking upon people - 'prey' - that are substantially weaker than she is, able to run circles around them and claw them at her leisure. If forced into a confrontation she cannot flee from, then she will engage with a combination of the aforementioned claws, and a self-made form of martial arts that relies on high-flying acrobatics, attacking her opponent from unexpected angles with astonishing agility.

Other:
History: Anongyra - Anong as she was once known to what family and friends she had - couldn't claim to have come from the easiest of backgrounds, if she were to ever share the truth of her origins. Though she is infamous as 'the Black Cat of Bangkok', she is not actually from Thailand's capital and largest city, but from Trang, on the Malay peninsula. She moved to Bangkok when she was 18, beginning her education at Chulalongkong University, to study engineering. She dropped out within a year however, for reasons that can be summed up as pride leading to confrontations with her lecturers, and vanity leading her to focus on pleasure rather than work. Soon left with little money to her name, she was forced - or 'forced' - to consider options for her continued survival. Deciding to get some payback on the woman whose course she most prominently failed, Anong tracked her way to their home, bypassed their security system, and then left them tied up while she ransacked the house for any physical values, and drained their bank accounts dry. When the lecturer's absence was investigated a few days later, Anony had already made off with thousands, and a realisation that she was good at being a thief.
Thus began the career of Misfortune, her new moniker the result of a headline about her activities - 'a wave of misfortune across the capital' - being correlated with her own physical appearance, and folklore about black cats. For almost a decade, she has been the bane of security systems across South East Asia, expanding out from Bangkok as her infamy grew, her interests in new challenges grew, and some poor fools thought to practically declare an open challenge to her. Having started with a single woman's household, Misfortune has now stolen from corporations both big and small, from museums and mansions, from poor saps that crossed her path to at least one monarch. Only one person has ever seemingly managed to keep the woman in check: Miss Fortune, a similarly titled heroine who, despite not technically having a quirk in any way related to luck, had managed to stumble across Misfortune on a number of occasions, and keep her from getting away with the intended target of her heist, though Miss Fortune could never bring the Black Cat herself to justice.
Now sadly Miss Fortune is dead, and Misfortune has in turn raised the stakes even further - she's gone and stolen from the offices of Iron Ox, Hong Kong's eldest and greatest hero, with one his subordinates hospitalised by her ally. It is the riskiest her career in crime has ever been, as Heroes of all stripes are now actively hunting her. So don't be surprised if she might wander a bit farther than usual, if it should throw off the scent before returning to her old hunting grounds. |
| Is apparently a mean drunk. |
