A few days had passed since Loïc had encountered the store robber. His mind was buzzing with different ideas on how maybe even someone as indifferent like him, could make a difference with his quirk. He smiled to himself realizing that had he had not of met Arnold, he probably would've never even considered delving deeper into what his quirk can do. His whole life had been about sports (that of which didn't include quirk usage). He wondered what Arnold was doing and if he'd see him again. The guy pretty much saved his life. The robber had experience with his quirk and was armed with a dangerous weapon (albeit a simple knife). Had Loïc trained with his quirk more, he would have most likely been able to fend for himself. Even though he was a MMA fighter, soccer player and surfer, fighting off people with quirks was a lot different. So on this day, he decided to train with his quirk. Not just for others, but for himself. He thought back on Arnold's enthusiasm towards his quirk. He never really considered much of it, but perhaps Arnold was right. His quirk revolved around air-propulsion from his feet. Maybe he could reach fighter-jet levels of speed. He smirked to himself at the thought, knowing that that would probably be impossible. He would walk to a nearby grassy park in order to gather his thoughts and practice. The park was somewhat empty, with a few people jogging and walking their dogs (etc). Standing in the middle of the field, Loïc would slowly take off his flip-flops off. The tricky thing about his quirk was that, he couldn't really use it with his shoes on. At some point, he would have to invent and purchase special shoes that had holes in the bottom of them so that he could use his quirk properly. But for now, he'd just have to be barefoot, something that didn't bother him. He bent his knees and took in a deep breath. Closing his eyes, he would open them and breath out. The air from his feet would immediately push him five feet into the air. Losing control and balance he would hit a front flip and land on his chest, in a clumsy yet comical manner. He turned over and sat on his bottom, trying to figure out why in the hell he was having trouble. He was a little dumbstruck, a psychical activity that he didn't have a grasp on? The fact that there was still a lot for him to learn did inspire him though. He got up and tried again. He gave a few short breaths before taking in a breath and breathing out. Air would leave his feet once more and send him stumbling into the air. This time it was a little more violent. "WHOA!" He yelped as he landed on his back, drawing the attention of a passerby or two. |

With their destination selected, the trio would head out towards the beach, which wasn't very far from where they were. Instead of walking however, Loïc elected for them to catch nearby train (paying for their fare). The trip overall would take about twenty minutes before they reached the main tourist area of the beach. The area was bustling and busy with out of towners and their was a lot of activity near the main entrance as well as a boardwalk area. Unbeknownst to them however, Loïc knew of a more secluded and somewhat forbidden that his brother's showed him. A teenage hangout area if you will. As they walked along the beach to said area, Loïc would speak out, while leading the way. "It's not too far from here. Most people choose to stay in the main area cause it's nearby the train station and popular hotels what not. This area, my brothers introduced to me." The area in question, was basically an underground area that was easy to climb down to.

Despite it being the season of winter, today's weather t the beach was weather pleasant. Now that they were at the secluded location, they could freely practice using their quirks without any fear of onlookers and or trouble. Loïc would take off his flip flops and leave his clothes on. He was wearing shorts and a tank top so he was pretty much ready for the beach the moment he left the house. Hideki would strip down a bit, revealing more of his sprout like growings from his body. It was interesting really, Hideki truly was like a living plant-man. He couldn't help but to think about how it must've been growing up, looking physically different. Arshuan called Hideki a freak, but he didn't seem to even flinch, signaling a desensitized outlook on name calling as a whole, something that Loïc saw as strength. Hideki would express joy that they were able to practice their quirks in peace. But, he wanted to make sure that they'd stop if anyone was nearby, for he didn't want any accidents to happen. He looked at Loïc and would mention the "canons" on his feet. Loïc looked back at him and then looked away with a smile and nod. "Right." He responded, understanding that he was somewhat of a liability. That being said, the word "canons" didn't really resonate with him. Canons were meant to cause harm and destruction, he didn't feel that his quirk was meant for that......at least not now. Loïc would listen to what Arnold was saying and chuckle at him. Jogging towards the shallow end of the waves that swept up near where they were, he would run until the water reach half-way up to his knee and breath out. He wanted to test and see if he could perform his quirk while his feet were submerged. And he could. Leaving a geyser like splash of water behind, he would shoot up into the air about ten feet and perform a back flip before landing into the water bottom first. Laughing at himself and not caring that his clothes were wet, he would leave the water. "I still need to work on sticking my landings." He said, having more fun then he'd had in a long time. |

Hideki was curious to know more about his quirk. Loïc quite honestly wasn't too savvy himself. He did know that it was a correlation with the pacing of his breathing. "I mean....it's just my breathing. Usually when I breath out is when I can perform, but there have been times when I used my quirk without breathing much at all." Loïc gave a nonchalant shrug, feeling as though he would disclose more as time went on. He would watch as Hideki used his quirk to seemingly harden his skin. Hideki would explain that although he couldn't manipulate outside sources of plant life, his quirk was only limited to his concentration and imagination. A few images of Hideki growing into a full on tree and the like popped into his head. His quirk could be very useful in many different scenarios. He nodded at him. "I see, is the wood produced from just the surface of your skin or is there some sort of internal nexus within you?" He asked with a straight face. It was at this moment that Arnold would yell at them, telling them that this was no time to talk. He would then begin to punch into the sand as if it were a punching bag. He gave a curious look him and then nodded. It was clear that he was probably coiling up before attacking in order to do some sort of resistance training. Sand was soft but also very durable when collected together. So, Arnold training in such a way was smart. The three of them each had their own hurdles they needed to conquer in their own way. Loïc walked over to where Arnold was training and would squat down. He would run towards the edge of the waves and give a bunny hop before using his quirk. For a split second, he would skim the surface of the water like a pond skater, but only for a second. Right after, he would trip and land on his knees. He gave a quizzical look as he stood up and pondered on how he could make himself surf the waves a bit. |
