A few days had passed since Loïc had encountered the store robber. His mind was buzzing with different ideas on how maybe even someone as indifferent like him, could make a difference with his quirk. He smiled to himself realizing that had he had not of met Arnold, he probably would've never even considered delving deeper into what his quirk can do. His whole life had been about sports (that of which didn't include quirk usage). He wondered what Arnold was doing and if he'd see him again. The guy pretty much saved his life. The robber had experience with his quirk and was armed with a dangerous weapon (albeit a simple knife). Had Loïc trained with his quirk more, he would have most likely been able to fend for himself.

Even though he was a MMA fighter, soccer player and surfer, fighting off people with quirks was a lot different. So on this day, he decided to train with his quirk. Not just for others, but for himself. He thought back on Arnold's enthusiasm towards his quirk. He never really considered much of it, but perhaps Arnold was right. His quirk revolved around air-propulsion from his feet. Maybe he could reach fighter-jet levels of speed. He smirked to himself at the thought, knowing that that would probably be impossible.

He would walk to a nearby grassy park in order to gather his thoughts and practice. The park was somewhat empty, with a few people jogging and walking their dogs (etc). Standing in the middle of the field, Loïc would slowly take off his flip-flops off. The tricky thing about his quirk was that, he couldn't really use it with his shoes on. At some point, he would have to invent and purchase special shoes that had holes in the bottom of them so that he could use his quirk properly. But for now, he'd just have to be barefoot, something that didn't bother him.

He bent his knees and took in a deep breath. Closing his eyes, he would open them and breath out. The air from his feet would immediately push him five feet into the air. Losing control and balance he would hit a front flip and land on his chest, in a clumsy yet comical manner. He turned over and sat on his bottom, trying to figure out why in the hell he was having trouble. He was a little dumbstruck, a psychical activity that he didn't have a grasp on? The fact that there was still a lot for him to learn did inspire him though. He got up and tried again. He gave a few short breaths before taking in a breath and breathing out. Air would leave his feet once more and send him stumbling into the air.

This time it was a little more violent.

"WHOA!"

He yelped as he landed on his back, drawing the attention of a passerby or two.

With their destination selected, the trio would head out towards the beach, which wasn't very far from where they were. Instead of walking however, Loïc elected for them to catch nearby train (paying for their fare). The trip overall would take about twenty minutes before they reached the main tourist area of the beach. The area was bustling and busy with out of towners and their was a lot of activity near the main entrance as well as a boardwalk area. Unbeknownst to them however, Loïc knew of a more secluded and somewhat forbidden that his brother's showed him. A teenage hangout area if you will. As they walked along the beach to said area, Loïc would speak out, while leading the way.

"It's not too far from here. Most people choose to stay in the main area cause it's nearby the train station and popular hotels what not. This area, my brothers introduced to me."

The area in question, was basically an underground area that was easy to climb down to.

The train ride was much like any other. There were a few differences than the transit within Japan but none the less it was similar. Spain definitely was one of the most beautiful landscapes he had seen and seemed to have a glowing vibrancy only seen in magazines or tourist commercials with clear blue skies and fields of gold and green. Once they departed the train and paced casually towards Loics secret spot, Hideki scanned the main section of the beach. He could imagine children playing games, a simpler vesion of 'tag' with the waves where they would run after them then away. He could imagine adults basking in the ambient sunlight and attempt to gain a glowing tan before returning home, some underestimating the harsh effects and ending up burnt, one particular individual as red as a summer tomato.

But Winter had dropped Spains tourist numbers to a more manageable level and the resorts and beaches were not as congested as they were in the Summer. This worked out perfectly for the trio as the possibility of onlookers or passer bys would be greatly reduced. Once they arrived Hidekis eyes widened in awe. He had been to many beaches in his life, the perks of living on an Island Country. But this particular spot took the cake. There seemed to be some sort of natural inlet shaped like a bowl with a double tier. The upper tier was adorned with winter grass and slightly sloped into the lower sanded section that blended seamlessly into the crystal clear waters. Hideki took the sights in then began to limber up, stretching religiously to loosen up his core muscles before beginning their training session. By all means he would keep this as light as possible as he could not risk getting injured before his competition, but he often lost himself in the heat of the moment. Especially against those with powerful quirks.

Hideki stripped down to his high cut singlet which exposed more of his lightly coloured wooden skin, his body hair replaced with spouts and leaves which soaked up sunlight to sustain him with a secondary source of energy through photosynthesis "I feel a bit better stretching my quirk in such an isolated area. From what I observed, the chances of encountering pedestrians or bystanders is minimum. But we are all in agreement that we stop immediately if someone approaches? I don't want anyone getting hurt" he immediately looked at Loic and arced his brow "Especially with those cannons beneath your feet"

Arnold enjoyed the train if not having felt a tiny bit motion sick but despite all that, getting to the beach areas was a treat. Arnold grew up in England where beaches weren't very 'summer paradise' like, mostly just rain eighty percent of the year. But this crater like thing in the ground was something else. 'Crater!? No, Was it made with a quirk? Or is it a naturally occurring inlet where the dirt over the space of time was shifted by the sea by the tide of the sea excavating the underground making an air pocket that eventually cascaded the roof and then formed a perfect spacious in-zone!' he thought as his eyes once again lit up like a Christmas tree. He was all giddy, swinging his backpack over his shoulder but then remembered he didn't bring his camera with him today. His face, suddenly changed to be that of a grumpy old man.

"Looks good." he said getting over it and just enjoying the site, at least his memory was good. Hideki started stripping and that made Arnold think 'Wait if Hideki sunbathes is it getting a tan or rejuvenation?' eyes went drearily as he just glanced at Hideki, getting closer and eventually he was within a few inches of staring at what should be Hideki's skin. "Yeah, don't alert people and stuff... he said, perking up and standing up straight upon the training part of what was said kicking back into his brain, grabbing his bicep and flexing then looking to Loic. "OH YEAH! We need to train don't we?! Me especially, I need to work harder on not breaking buildi- I mean the law- I mean, I need to work harder on not breaking a sweat. He started nodding his head as if his neck was controlled by a jackhammer, nervously laughing while he was at it.

Despite it being the season of winter, today's weather t the beach was weather pleasant. Now that they were at the secluded location, they could freely practice using their quirks without any fear of onlookers and or trouble. Loïc would take off his flip flops and leave his clothes on. He was wearing shorts and a tank top so he was pretty much ready for the beach the moment he left the house. Hideki would strip down a bit, revealing more of his sprout like growings from his body. It was interesting really, Hideki truly was like a living plant-man. He couldn't help but to think about how it must've been growing up, looking physically different. Arshuan called Hideki a freak, but he didn't seem to even flinch, signaling a desensitized outlook on name calling as a whole, something that Loïc saw as strength.

Hideki would express joy that they were able to practice their quirks in peace. But, he wanted to make sure that they'd stop if anyone was nearby, for he didn't want any accidents to happen. He looked at Loïc and would mention the "canons" on his feet. Loïc looked back at him and then looked away with a smile and nod.

"Right."

He responded, understanding that he was somewhat of a liability. That being said, the word "canons" didn't really resonate with him. Canons were meant to cause harm and destruction, he didn't feel that his quirk was meant for that......at least not now. Loïc would listen to what Arnold was saying and chuckle at him. Jogging towards the shallow end of the waves that swept up near where they were, he would run until the water reach half-way up to his knee and breath out. He wanted to test and see if he could perform his quirk while his feet were submerged. And he could. Leaving a geyser like splash of water behind, he would shoot up into the air about ten feet and perform a back flip before landing into the water bottom first. Laughing at himself and not caring that his clothes were wet, he would leave the water.

"I still need to work on sticking my landings."

He said, having more fun then he'd had in a long time.

Training was always fun for Hideki. It allowed the blood to flow and endorphins to fill the body. The come down was always tiring though, and often left the Japanese student fatigued but with zero regrets. This time he was able to do it with 2 new acquaintances with their own special quirks and personalities. It truly was a privilege to be in another Country, let alone at his schools expense. He doubted he would ever have come to Spain were it not for his clubs participation in the Martial Arts tournament.

Loic opened up the training exercises by submerging his feet in the shallow end of the tide and propelled himself into the air with ease. His landing left much to be desired, but at the very least Loic was able to identify his landing troubles. Hideki let out a light chuckle at his failed attempt, but was impressed with his abilities none the less. "So how does your quirk work? Do you have some sort of internalized compartment that provides fuel for your flight? Do you have to ingest some sort of special food to power your propulsion?" Hideki was as much a geek as the next person when it came to the inner workings of a persons quirk. Again, it was a personal question to ask which was almost akin to asking someone their sexuality, but the question slipped from his mouth before he could catch it.

Whether Loic answered his question or not, Hideki would begin to stretch his own quirk by increasing the thickness of his wooden skin around his shoulders and arms. The mass of his appendages were visually increased and this particular ability imbued him with augmented power and strength. Maintaining it required constant concentration which was hard during bouts and encounters. If his thoughts slipped from its upkeep it generally reverted back to its original state "My quirk allows me to manipulate the wood produced from my skin. I can't control or use outside sources, but I'm lucky enough that the limitations of my constructs are only held back by my concentration and imagination."

In his honest thought Arnold didn't really know how to show he was training his quirk, normally just changing as much of himself as possible into coils without unraveling onto the ground in a puddle, and with the sand, that was much more dangerous than they knew. If he was to unravel, the sand might cling to the coils and a reform of his body might drag the sand in, get stuck between the coils and ultimately, make it annoying. Arnold's done it before, it takes him about half an hour to clear all the sand off of his body by dragging each coil back into his form individually. 'EITHER WAY, I cannot unravel in this sand, It would be bad.' he thought in a loud expression on his face, to others he would just be nodding as if he'd made some great revelation. That would then leave him with some head-scratching as to what type of training he should do. Thankfully he was wearing a long sleeve shirt and gloves which meant the chances of sand getting into his coils was low, 'WAIT, PUNCHING SAND!'.

To the outside eye, Arnold thought that most people would look at punching sand as if it couldn't get any more pointless. But, punching individual pieces of earth that form a greater construct, it can both absorb force as Arnold can and harden as Arnold can, in his mind it was settled. Arnold shifted his hands, transforming from the fingertips all the way up to the top of his shoulders underneath his clothes, likewise with his legs. From his toes up to the top of his hips and around his thighs, he readied his coils, set their configuration to that of his standard anatomy, his basic coil form. "OK GUYS!, THIS IS NO TIME TO TALK!" he yelled, obviously fired up and ready to train like there was no tomorrow. It was at this time when Arnold started repetitively punching the sand after finding the hardest spot with the densest sand.

Thud after thud of him punching to strengthen the control of his coils, the main reason of this training was to control his shock absorption and recoil. Many times have his vibrashock capabilities landed him in dangerous situations which made him unable to control his body. He could either redistribute the vibrations immediately or let himself get somewhat slowed in order to dissipate them. 'If I want to save people, I have to get rid of the vibrations quicker!' he forced on himself. In his own world, beating at the sand with a focused expression.

Hideki was curious to know more about his quirk. Loïc quite honestly wasn't too savvy himself. He did know that it was a correlation with the pacing of his breathing.

"I mean....it's just my breathing. Usually when I breath out is when I can perform, but there have been times when I used my quirk without breathing much at all."

Loïc gave a nonchalant shrug, feeling as though he would disclose more as time went on. He would watch as Hideki used his quirk to seemingly harden his skin. Hideki would explain that although he couldn't manipulate outside sources of plant life, his quirk was only limited to his concentration and imagination. A few images of Hideki growing into a full on tree and the like popped into his head. His quirk could be very useful in many different scenarios.

He nodded at him.

"I see, is the wood produced from just the surface of your skin or is there some sort of internal nexus within you?"

He asked with a straight face.

It was at this moment that Arnold would yell at them, telling them that this was no time to talk. He would then begin to punch into the sand as if it were a punching bag. He gave a curious look him and then nodded. It was clear that he was probably coiling up before attacking in order to do some sort of resistance training. Sand was soft but also very durable when collected together. So, Arnold training in such a way was smart.

The three of them each had their own hurdles they needed to conquer in their own way. Loïc walked over to where Arnold was training and would squat down. He would run towards the edge of the waves and give a bunny hop before using his quirk. For a split second, he would skim the surface of the water like a pond skater, but only for a second. Right after, he would trip and land on his knees. He gave a quizzical look as he stood up and pondered on how he could make himself surf the waves a bit.
