A few days had passed since Loïc had encountered the store robber. His mind was buzzing with different ideas on how maybe even someone as indifferent like him, could make a difference with his quirk. He smiled to himself realizing that had he had not of met Arnold, he probably would've never even considered delving deeper into what his quirk can do. His whole life had been about sports (that of which didn't include quirk usage). He wondered what Arnold was doing and if he'd see him again. The guy pretty much saved his life. The robber had experience with his quirk and was armed with a dangerous weapon (albeit a simple knife). Had Loïc trained with his quirk more, he would have most likely been able to fend for himself.

Even though he was a MMA fighter, soccer player and surfer, fighting off people with quirks was a lot different. So on this day, he decided to train with his quirk. Not just for others, but for himself. He thought back on Arnold's enthusiasm towards his quirk. He never really considered much of it, but perhaps Arnold was right. His quirk revolved around air-propulsion from his feet. Maybe he could reach fighter-jet levels of speed. He smirked to himself at the thought, knowing that that would probably be impossible.

He would walk to a nearby grassy park in order to gather his thoughts and practice. The park was somewhat empty, with a few people jogging and walking their dogs (etc). Standing in the middle of the field, Loïc would slowly take off his flip-flops off. The tricky thing about his quirk was that, he couldn't really use it with his shoes on. At some point, he would have to invent and purchase special shoes that had holes in the bottom of them so that he could use his quirk properly. But for now, he'd just have to be barefoot, something that didn't bother him.

He bent his knees and took in a deep breath. Closing his eyes, he would open them and breath out. The air from his feet would immediately push him five feet into the air. Losing control and balance he would hit a front flip and land on his chest, in a clumsy yet comical manner. He turned over and sat on his bottom, trying to figure out why in the hell he was having trouble. He was a little dumbstruck, a psychical activity that he didn't have a grasp on? The fact that there was still a lot for him to learn did inspire him though. He got up and tried again. He gave a few short breaths before taking in a breath and breathing out. Air would leave his feet once more and send him stumbling into the air.

This time it was a little more violent.

"WHOA!"

He yelped as he landed on his back, drawing the attention of a passerby or two.

This was the first time Hideki had left his home Country of Japan, and only did so on behalf of his school. Hideki and his humble Martial Arts club had been sponsored by a rural business to take part in one of the smaller, more obscure tournaments held in Spain. Nothing on U.A's level but it still gave relevant credentials to those that participated, even more so to those who won. Hideki had departed the company of his peers and escorting teacher in order to see the beauty of this foreign Country. And he was no disappointed. From the aircraft he saw rolling fields of yellow and lush forests dotting its landscape. Its natural allure rivalled that of Japan, and its familiarity made him feel at home.

On his small adventure of discovery he found himself in a small field and park utilized by locals and tourists for recreation. Primarily this was used as a means to exercise oneself and their pets, but children enjoyed its open spaces as much as any animal. An aura of joy radiated as if to gently nudge the Japanese student closer to its perimeter. Hideki gladly obliged as he basked in its radiance. His eyes peered from one side of the park to the other. Its countless inhabitants enjoyed their day to day lives which caused a smile to slowly creep along his face. Obviously heroic society had managed to sustain some form of peace in his area which was in no means a small feat.

From the corner of Hidekis eye he saw a particular individual using his quirk in public, something that was frowned upon in heroic society. There were a set of rules that individuals needed to follow. Those that didn't seemed to thread the path of villainy or worse. But Hideki was unsure if the rules in Spain were different from Japan. None the less he approached the individual with caution, his inner 'by the book' mentality getting the best of him.

'Damnit' Arnold thought to himself as he panted, 'tap-tap' his running shoes against the ground as he jogged around the corner of the street block and into the park. He was wearing some of his sweats, that is fitness clothing that he wears every day when exercising, fit body, fit mind. The backpack was the same as ever and yet, he looked different today, probably because of the argument he'd just gotten into with his cousin when she'd found out that 'some strange vigilante stopped an attempted robbery'. She assumed it was him, didn't even ask, 'I mean it was me? BUT SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO DISTRUST ME SO QUICKLY!' he thought to himself, clearly only feeling sorry for his own feelings.

He'd jogged through the park a good distance and had stopped to take a breathe, thirty minutes of constant jogging while shifting his quirk through his body to different places took a mental toll, but it was the only way to learn to control his quirk better, to transform and control it while under physical stress. He took a break, pulling the water bottle from the side of his bag and taking a good, long swig of its cold contents. 'Ahh.. Refreshing' he thought with a big smile on his face, putting the cap back on and thinking back to the other time he was in a park with that explosion palm guy. Come to think of it, that's twice now that he's come into contact with someone while trying to 'be a hero'. First the explosion guy then the air foot guy, 'The Hood' and 'Breaker' as he dubbed them because of their lack of hero names.

"Ok! Time to stretch!" he said, reaching for his toes, then twisting his torso, stretching his shoulders etc etc. It wasn't for but a few moments that he was stretching before he heard sounds coming from not too far away, like someone fell over. The looks that people were giving from what he could see indicated that someone didn't fall over but, it was a bit shocking that no one had elected to help. 'Wait... Is that?' he questioned himself, peering through the walkway, trees and bushes to see someone who looked familiar, colliding with the ground.

Arnold flicked up his hoodie and casually walked down the path, but he was too far away currently to approach, he'd be there in a moment or two.

Just as Loïc was getting ready to practice once more, he couldn't help but feel as though someone was watching him. He stopped what he was doing and turned to see a young man at around his age staring at him. The kid didn't look as though he was from here. Loïc wasn't sure what to say, let alone if he should react at all. He turned away but kept his senses about him. Loïc realized that he was probably drawing attention to himself but he honestly didn't care. He needed space in order to practice and he wasn't going to let anyone stop him. He took in a deep breath and took a few steps back.

This time, he would give a running start before breathing out and propelling himself into the air. The momentum sent him up diagonally, something that he wasn't anticipating. Startled, he would flail his arms around and come down towards Arnold's direction. Yelling, he would think quickly and breath out once more. In mid-air his body would jerk as his air propulsion shot him back the way he came. Finally hitting the grass, he would tumble along like a rag doll. Dizzy, he would look up towards the sky as his world slowly came into focus. He didn't realize he could change his directory like that. Sure it was nifty, but it was also kind of dangerous. Perhaps he should find a less public place to practice.

It was a gamble for Hideki. His Spanish was nothing special. To be honest he knew little more than a few formal greetings, and basic directions back to his accommodation. He was relying that this Countries residence spoke English. Hideki was about to introduce himself when Loic burst forth in a sprint, shooting himself in the air before making a 'controlled crash'. Despite the dangerous manoeuvre Hideki was impressed. More of the quirk itself than the person whom used it.

While Loic was still on the ground Hideki approached him, offering an initial warm greeting "Rough landing" he kept his English sentences relatively short. Although learning English was a requirement in his school, he was by no means fluent. At home he preferred to speak Japanese and on occasion he mixed his words.

Hideki was slightly tall for his age, but there were others who towered him. His frame was slight, and puberty had gifted him with a body with natural stamina. He was lean. What set him apart from the 'normal looking' Humans the physical mutation of his skin due to his quirk. His skin was actually a thick layer of pale wood and a closed flower bulb symbiotically attached his head. Or rather it was a part of him. Secondly all body hair was replaced with leaves and sprouts. Other than that he looked as normal as any other sixteen year old Japanese boy.

"Let me help you up". Hideki offered his arm for support. Whether he took it or not was of no concern. His upkeep dictated that he offer everyone a respectable initial introduction. It was their first meeting. There was no need to be rude "My name is Hideki Hashimoto. Are you by any chance a licensed hero?" he started his initial probe politely. Loics reply would dictate how this conversation went.

'It is!' he thought to himself, Breaker, the fella he met at that store when the robber was present. He was training his quirk, 'Good for him' Arnold thought as he nodded with a big smile. With the intention of jogging over there to say hello he tapped his toes against the ground a couple times to make sure his shoes were on right, that was when Breaker burst into a run and after some sick move that almost had Arnold fan-girling it, collided with the ground and tumbled. "Eeegh..." he said in a slight lift of the lip, surprised and a little concerned about him after his landing. He slowly approached and was happy to see someone offering him a hand to get up, a friend perhaps.

'WAIT A MINUTE' he thought to himself as a string of thoughts ensued in their usual onslaught. How would he know him outside of the robbery? how could he explain that! Wait, they met afterward, WAIT NO, 'Ugh' he thought. Maybe it was best to just come near and wait for the other person to leave so that he could talk to Loic, it would sure be a lot safer. 'But I really wanted to tell him how sweet that quirk move was...' he internally cried, holding his head at the thought of 'What once could of been' in his strange relationship. The distance gap closed until Arnold had sat against a tree not to far away, hood down and slightly covering his face, just leaning over his eyes to obscure them from the view of others.

Before Loïc had a chance to get up, he would hear a voice call out to him. A hand was offered as Hideki asked to help him up. Loïc didn't respond at first and just looked at him. He would finally reach out and grab his hand.

"Th....thank you."

As he stood up, he got a better look at Hideki, noticing the plant like attributes all over his body. Was this his quirk? He looked like some sort of living tree. It was strange but cool as well. He could tell by the way in which he spoke, that he most likely wasn't from here. He would introduce himself as Hideki Hashimoto. That sounded like a Japanese name. Was he from Japan? Loïc smiled and returned the greeting.

"Nice to meet you Hideki, I'm Loïc."

Hideki would then ask if he was a licensed hero. Loïc paused for a minute, unsure of how he would be judged based upon his answer. The last he was going to do was lie about it, but maybe he could play it off as to make it seem as though it wasn't a big deal.

"Nah, not really into the hero stuff. Just thought I'd practice...."

He paused for a moment as he saw someone leaning up against a tree with a hood covering his face.

Could that be....

He thought to himself as he recalled the way in which Arnold carried himself and how he liked to cover up his face. He turned his attention back to Hideki.

"That's a pretty cool name, are you from here?"

Hideki shook his head "No, I'm currently on a short term sports exchange with a local school. I'm from Japan." he furrowed his brow as Loic confirmed he was not a hero, nor did it seem as if he aspired to be one. Hideki continued the conversation in order to gather more information on Spanish law before he started making any accusations "So if you're not a hero then does your Countries law dictate the use of ones quirk at their descretion?" in Japan a person was forbidden to use their quirk in a public capacity unless they held a particular license. These ranged from Commerical use, where a person could use them as part of their employment such as construction, while others allowed people to use their quirks in a more professional manner such as heros. They were still bound by certain laws on their quirks use. Hideki was eager to probe Loic for information. If he found out that he was using his quirk in a public area such as a park without proper authroization he would verbally repremand him.

It was no doubt a rude way to follow an introduction, but Hidekis morals and beliefs rested with the importance of rules and the need to follow the law. He understood why these kind of restrictions were put in place. And the ruling Government had allowed leniancies on the use of ones quirk so long as it was on private property, or in necessary facilities.

Arnold had turned was using his coils to absorb sound through vibrations but, it was still too hard to hear it all. He got closer, and closer still, this was the part where he lost his inconspicuous status as he approached. There were a few people who walked past him as he came from the side, people at the park really didn't pay much attention to their surroundings unless it was slapping them in the face, even as Loic had used his quirk people were now forgetting about him due to the tree looking guy approaching him. 'Wait' Arnold thought, 'tree quirk...'. And that was it, Arnold had officially broke from his guise approach and then suddenly approached.

He didn't say anything but he was looking at Hideki's hair, followed by looking at his arm, poking his shoulder, touching his ear, taking hold of his hand and then staring at it. Throughout all this he was talking and held eyes of amazement. "Its so coooool~ What's it do, how does it work, Does it hurt to have bark like skin? *Gasp* Can you give yourself splinters, Are you a vegetarian! Wait, Don't answer that, Some mystery is good. OH MY GOD DO YOU GROW IN THE SHOWER, Does your hair fall off? If you break a bone do you splint or do you need to reset it like a tree branch, Can more of you grow, *Another gasp* ARE YOU ONE OF MANY TWIN PLANTS, LIKE A CROP?" Obviously Arnold was letting his geek get a hold of him as Loic's existence had all been expunged in his mind momentarily.

Hideki would explain that he was here on a sports exchange with a local school. Loïc raised an eyebrow as he wondered what sport it was that he was here for. Not only that but his hunch was correct, Hideki was indeed from Japan. It was pretty cool meeting someone from so far away. He wondered how living in Japan was like.

"Nice, I happen to be a athlete myself."

He said with a confident nod. Hideki would then ask if his country allowed the use of quirks at their discretion. Loïc wasn't sure how to answer. Again, all of the rules regarding quirks and saving lives complicated things for him. But it made sense, his quirk was potentially dangerous for the surrounding public, so it was more then likely that Spain had strict laws regarding quirk usage as a whole. If that were the case, then how was he supposed to practice? He looked down a bit and then sighed.

"I'm.....I'm not sure. Recently....."

He wasn't sure if opening up to Hideki was smart but he figured he speak with him anyways.

"There was a robbery and myself along with one other person were able to stop him, despite not being licensed to do so."

Loïc shrugged his shoulders.

"We were able to stop the villain, but I was pretty much helpless because I never took the time to develop my quirk. So, I thought I'd start today..."

It was at this point that Arnold had approached the two of them. Loïc narrowed his eyes in suspicion and then smirked as he heard him ask Hideki multiple questions.

"Ar...Arnold?...."

He placed his hands on his hips.

"I knew that was you skulking around like a detective."

Loics response caught Hideki off guard. He was expecting to encounter a teenager who sought to show off their quirk in public, or disregard the rules overall. Instead, he found a remorseful young man who was caught in one of the laws many questionable loopholes. Hideki could saw the flaw in the logic. But at the end of the day, rules were rules. Individuals could still stretch their quirks out within their own property or even in sanctioned facilities that are catered to handle unexpected emergencies. Though memberships and casual fares were often expensive.

Before Hideki could speak he felt an ominous presence approaching from behind, and before he could look over his shoulder to see what was happening, another young gentleman barraged him with questions. In hindsight, they were not questions he had not heard before. Due to the physical mutations of his quirk he stood out amongst the crowd of 'normals', people whose physical appearance weren't affected by their abilities. Hideki took a deep breath out, releasing it in a slightly annoyed sigh "He seems to be an acquaintance of yours?" his question directed at Loic. Whether he confirmed or denied, Hideki would introduce himself in the same manner as his introduced himself to Loic....formally and with an initial respect.

He was left a bit disorientated. First with Loics tale of why hes been practising, secondly with Arnolds assault of questions. Firstly he answer Loic "I apologize if I directed you too forwardly on the issue. With all the news of people getting injured as collateral from people misusing or losing control of their quirks, I decided to approach you and sway you from such a public setting." his attention casually trained on Arnold soon after. Hideki could sense his curiosity as it seeped from his pores.

"Most of this is just a physical mutation. Some of it serves a purpose, but most of it is aesthetics. I guess I share many common properties of flora"

He kept stepping around Hideki in order to observe and study the males skin with his eyes, the hair was especially amusing to him. After realizing what he was doing he stopped, coughed into his hand and made a good effort to compose himself, speaking in his usual English accent. "Apologies, I get carried away... heheh. he said while rubbing the back of his head, forgetting to immediately reply to Loic. 'But this guys quirk is so coool!' he thought before Loic's comment registered, about him being a detective. "Heeey, What do you mean by skulking? It's not like I was trying to spy or anything I just happened to be passing by.

It wasn't a lie but, even to Arnold as he said it; it sounded extremely suspicious, truth or not. He crossed his arms to stop himself from being to over the top with Hideki, giving a light smile and then finally introducing himself properly. "Arnold Shard, I'm Loic's friend. You are?" he said in a presumptuous almost pompous manner, the facade that he is nothing like his hero counterpart and plays under the guise that he is in fact 'an ass'.

Kind of reminded him of the Hood though back in japan.

Hideki asked if Arnold was a friend of Loïc's to which he nodded and smiled. He was happy to see the guy who helped him stop the robber yesterday. He would then apologize to Loïc for being so forward with him. People getting injured due to collateral from using one's quirk in an irresponsible way ,was prevalent. Using his quirk a few times and realizing that the power and force of his could potentially hurt someone, did make him see the error of his ways, even if he was simply just trying to train himself. He would then answer Arnold, telling him that his quirk caused a mutation of the skin akin to flora.

Arnold would apologize and then address Loïc, saying that he was merely walking by. Loïc smiled again and nodded.

"Oh...ok, my bad."

He said with a telling look on his face.

Arnold would then introduce himself to Hideki to which Loïc looked at Hideki for his reaction. The two nearly had opposite personalities. Hideki seemed very stoic and by the book as to where Arnold, wasn't.

The tense air around them seemed to settle, and Hideki had a more casual tone to his voice and stature. He had made his point on the public use of quirks and the message seemed to get through. Not only that, but Arnold was a hard person to be serious around. He seemed to have an innate talent for setting a certain mood in a conversation.

After introductions were made Hideki checked his phone for the time. He needed to be back at the hotel by dinner. The team had another free day tomorrow but the coach wanted to use the time to discuss technique and strategy. From what he heard, the Spanish were not to be trifled with in any way. The stigma of romance which clung tight to Spanish traditions did not reflect a citizens quirk and their ability to dominate in a martial arts competition.

Hideki snapped back to the park, Arnold still obsessing with his physical mutation "How about you two? What're your quirks?" it was a strange question to ask despite the fact that everyone had one. But it was the same as asking them any other intimate detail about themselves. A quirk was a very, VERY, personal thing.

"In Japan we have facilities where we can practise and use our quirks in controlled environments. Small scale of course. The equivalent of a gymnasium I suppose. Do you have these in Spain?" these sorts of places charged a fee.

What Arnold experienced then was the existential crisis, his quirk was really powerful now but only because he'd worked on it, thus the internal debate happened and you could see it on his face. Arnold's eyes went glazed over and blank for a moment as he held a shocked look on his face, internally ' He asked about the quirk OMG YES!, But wait he might be a villain, I don't know the guy I can't just show him my quirk? But his quirk is so cool I want to share mine! No, it's final, I am not going to show it. BUT THIS IS A CHANCE TO BRAG ABOUT YOUR OWN QUIRK! Can't do it, Nope, shouldn't do it. BUT SOMEONE ASKED, Tell them it involves hardness? No, too obvious, Plus Loic knows the basics of what my quirk can do, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME.'

No doubt while Arnold was going through this inner struggle the other two may have said something or other, only by forcibly snapping Arnold out of it or waiting for him to snap himself out of it could they even hope to garnish his attention. "My quirk, Hahahahahaha Yeah my quirk is really cool but isn't it kind of personal to ask about quirks, Wait it was rude to say that I'm sorry... Wait... what were we talking about." He was standing there for a moment and then a look of shame came over him, 'god you're pathetic' he thought to himself as he realized that he just did it again, his overthinking internal dilemma had leaked into his mouth and caused him to say something utterly stupid.

Arnold couldn't help but imagine the 'L' on his forehead. "Training gyms for quirks? I only ever used my backyard and the Mu Ren Zhuang." Suddenly Arnold gasped and covered his mouth, having unwittingly just shared some personal information about his background. He suddenly snapped back and put a finger and thumb to his chin, looking at Hideki. "What's your hero name." He said holding his chin as he was beginning to pick up on telltale signs. 'Why does this guy know so much about laws around heroes, quirks and public safety... He's gotta be interested into hero work.' He thought to himself.
