God of Destruction

Crimson paws dropped his two Generals to the ground as they sat, observing their dear friend and family. Time began to pass for Mercutio slowly as he analyzed Taylor's movements and tried to estimate who was in control. He tried his hardest to assure Negan and Rosa to be ready for Satoshi, and even through diligence, his attention was swept away by another, darker realization. Watching the Kaiju move in pace with Taylor it brought about memories of Rory, Gjoll and Mercutio's initial trip and rediscovery of the island. Something disturbingly similar was drawn between his reports of South Africa and his knowledge of the DC. Needing answers quickly, Mercutio took off in a sprint to the other side of the island; toward the Harbor. Plagued by problematic thoughts, Mercutio crept away from the group of his people, "I trust you two to handle this. I need to go reread something back at Kame House. Probably gonna read Black Clover or something..." he explained, something obviously on his mind that he wasn't willing to share. "I'll know if you need me... oh, right." he said as he slammed on the brakes ad teleported to the other side of the island, to the other coast where the docks sat.

"Oars!" he called as the giant was seen sat in a big pile of sand watching a projection of One Piece playing, "Ah! I see someone helped you out with entertainment! Hope you don't mind my coy nickname for you, Bud." he said with a smile, but a cold sweat hanging over him. "I had a question, which is why I dropped in on you so suddenly and unannounced."

Mercutio narrowed his brow and his tone darkened, "What did... Oni do to you?" he asked awkwardly to stifled silence. Oars began to open their massive maw uncomfortably to answer and Mercutio held up a hand. "You know what, the wrong question I am sorry... rather, what does his Quirk do? What is--" Mercutio tried to ask, but Oars grimly interjected. "Shinkaku, my-" he began, the seriousness suiting his stature but not his known personality. Mercutio gave a hand at being called by his newly coined name as Leader of Elysium. "Call me what you WISH, we are friends and I still owe you a lot." he reminded of the massive experiment. With a smile and nod Oars gave a short response, "He calls it, "All For One". A name coined long ago when Oni was much more open and dangerous." the Giant explained as Mercutio tried to grasp how these animals and men were turned to monsters against their will. The concept of quirk singularity among many other thoughts crossed his mind. "Oars, I am sorry I see this is hard for you, but I need to know. What does All For One do exactly? Make things huge and mutates the targets quirk?" he asked puzzled, not a scientist by trade but by the pursuit of knowledge. A grim expression was cast across his eyes as shadows hazed his complexion.

"I was, sadly, a successful experiment of his quirk... yes, but no. His quirk is far more terrifying than that." Oars continued, his speech therapy doing him wonders. There was no deciphering his speech anymore!

"I was gifted with the ability of what W.I.S.H calls Super Regeneration... I was thought of as a prime specimen for experimentation." he explained, going on, "First... he took it from me and let me flat-line." he said straight-up without anything else. "Without? How is that possible with such an all mighty quirk?" Mercutio mused, curiously but Oars winced in memory.

"He took my quirk from me and made me quirks and gave a piece of it to another, a man who called himself Overhaul and returned it to me. It appeared they had some sort of deal and well, with my quirk came something else." he explained, obviously having thought over this incident many times from how vivid the memory appeared for him. "Quirkless?" he said in shock as fear filled him for the first time since he was a child.

"He gave me a quirk known or what he called Gigantification, however like I said... I was a prime specimen and the first... he wasn't successful in what he attempted to do. He couldn't break my Will even though he broke my body. Gigantification is a transformation type quirk and my Super Regeneration is passively effecting me constantly... with whatever he did, he not only mutated my quirk but broken my genetic code for lack of a better understanding... I was just a Stunt Man before this long ago and I've lost track of the years."

Mercutio energy seemed to dim as horror plagued his face...

"The ability to give, take and create quirks from quirks." he muttered to himself, "Oars... thank you. I am glad you are happier now, but I must leave you... see you later."

Without another word, Mercutio disappeared and reappeared within Kame House.

Sprinting from the lowest floor to his bedroom Mercutio tore open the drawers of his desk and looked through all the papers. Everything he had on ONI, WISH, everything! It was once it was all in front of him that the abbreviation "AFO" began to make sense. "W.I.S.H knows.. they..." he stuttered as rage built within him quickly boiling over into the flames. Everyone on the Isle of Alana would know Mercutio was upset based on the tint of the air.

Thankfully, Mercutio spent a pretty penny on Kame House and it wasn't just a pushover Weeb building because he attempted to put each one of his first through every wall, every door was kicked and a few came unhinged. With each destroyed piece he created at his hands, little to nothing was felt and that only cause him to escalate. Needing to blow off steam and his People in mind, he took himself to Mia to blow off his anger.

"YOU KNEW ALL ALONG!" he screamed as thunder bombed, crimson lightning channeling from the sky to the ground, striking Mercutio as though he were a lightning rod and how he appeared for much of his childhood began showing through; his unstoppable, indomitable rage free-flowing around him in a crimson haze. The air was pressurized and tense, the wind tore around the Isle of Mia as his screams reached any and everyone on Alana... hell, even the next country over.

"YOU LET HIM LIVE BECAUSE YOU SEEK HIS POWER DON'T YOU! YOU LET ALL THESE PEOPLE DIE... he screamed as the air began to combust around him, the water rushing straight into the air around him. "I WON'T LET YOU WIN!"

It has seemed that Mercutio has gotten it in his head that the only reason W.I.S.H hasn't stopped Oni would be solely for the one thing that creates them their issues. Their imbalanced venture for power. In Mercutio's mind, it was this quirk that Oni had, AfO, that kept him safe. With his voice breaking the windows across the islands, Mercutio declared out loud clenching a manga in each hand.

"DAMN IT!" he screamed with tears in his eyes, "MY LIFE, MY DREAM AND MY PURPOSE ARE FINALLY ONE!"

"I WILL KILL ONI! I WILL PURIFY W.I.S.H! I WILL PROVE THIS..."

Each hand was thrust directly into the air as he let go of each Manga,

"I WILL BE THE SINGULARITY KING! I WILL BEAR THE BURDEN OF...
ALL FOR ONE!
"
he proclaimed more intensely then his declaration of war. In his mind, death would come before dishonor. It was something he had to do in his mind to ensure the Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness for everyone remains in tack. At his feet lay an issue of One Piece and Black Clover.

Gjöll returned the high five from his little brother, ruffling the fox boy’s now much longer hair a bit as he spoke.

"It was real weird and scary, but you guys were awesome and helped me get out of there! It was so weird, I couldn't even see you guys, it wasn't even like being around toys, maybe even miniatures are too big to compare, oh and my tails were on fire and-"

The burst of flame that followed Mairu’s comment was a bit surprising. It seen the fire abilities his kaiju form possesed had stayed with him even in his smaller form. Given Gjöll’s tendency to accidentally destroy his own clothing on a regular basis, he wasn’t worried about the damage to his cloak, even before the cloak regenerated itself into a basically brand new condition. “Woah! We were told these things could repair themselves… but seeing it in action is a whole different story.” The older boy replied, amused by the clothing’s unique property, before praising the two who had been involved in their creation. “You guys did a really good job on all of them!

Upon hearing the subject of ice cream come up, he was again reminded of his promise, and a relax smile appeared on his face. “Yeah, I could go for a treat and some relaxation right now. Canada was… far more exhausting than I would have liked it to have been… Once we finish up here, we’ll get you some.” Gjöll couldn’t help but grin as the younger boy excused himself to go over to talk to Artemis, who had landed a decent distance and was watching the lot of them, no doubt to stay further away from Mercutio. “Still think he’s out to get you, hm?” He muttered under his breath, just thinking aloud.

He sat with Mercutio and Sonomi, suspended just above the ground by paws of crimson energy, as they watched Taylor continue their onslaught.against the Kaiju. Eventually the pressure on his head would cease both he and Sonomi would drop to the ground just below them as they continued to observe the fusion fight. They seemed to be handling the situation well at least for the moment. Their opponent had failed to really land a single blow on them, however they were still slightly injured from the previous battle, it was only a matter of time before their fusion time was again. How much longer can their keep this up? Gjöll thought to himself. Mercutio’s imminent departure and words to the two of them would draw his attention.

"I trust you two to handle this. I need to go reread something back at Kame House. Probably gonna read Black Clover or something..."

Oh? Did something come up? Didn’t think you would be one to leave during a t-” Gjöll question would be cut off as Merc made another another comment before immediately vanishing in a quick flash of crimson. “.... I hate it when he does that…Oh well, Whatever is on his mind must be pretty important, either that or the Taylor has already passed this test.” Gjöll would simply shrug off their leader's sudden departure, as he had grown used to it by now. “Besides, the two of us together can handle pretty much anything.” He laughed, smiling at the white haired girl next to him. As he waited for her response he couldn’t help but think about the comment that his subconscious had made earlier, bringing back another wave of confusing feelings and causing his face began to heat up again slightly.

Oh yeah... I almost forgot..“ He casually yawned, turning to address the other brown haired boy Mercutio had dropped into the situation. “Who are you? You’re not one of the orphans…. But you were obviously brought here for a reason... Sorry if it seems a bit random... I was out hunting down one of Kull’s less behaved runts for the last week, so I’m a bit out of the loop.” He gave a small apologetic laugh, scratching the back of his head as he continued scan the surroundings and observe the ongoing battle while he waited for a response.

It wouldn’t take long for him notice the tall black haired man, who appeared to be keeping his distance from the battle. Gjöll frowned slightly. He didn’t recognize this one either. Leave the island for just one week and a bunch of new people show up, what were the odds? On second thought the man’s body language read that of someone who seemed very out of their element. Perhaps this was someone who had just arrived? “You just gonna stand there gawking or you got something to say?” The Adrestian shouted towards the figure. “Why don’t you come over here and tell us who you are and what you want? If this kid is standing here just fine I don't see why you can't.” Gjöll motioned to Cameron as he finished calling out the dark figure in the distance.

As he waited for the man to make his way over an ominous crimson tint lit up the air around them. “I guess I was right… It was something important.” He muttered to himself. A thunderous bolt of crimson lightning, struck the other island. Shattering any semblance of serenity that still remained. Mercutio’s voice filled the sky as hate filled accusations were followed by adamant claims. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen him this pissed.” Gjöll muttered to Sonomi. “I’m sure we’ll get a full explanation from him later, for now let’s just wrap things up here, everyone has had a long day.” He would continue waiting for Franklin to join them, eyes switching back and forth between the battle and stranger he had asked to approach.

The Dork of Ages!!!!
Franklin watched with awe as two fighters merged into one, only to attack the beat in this new white haired form. The giant fox's size had been reduced, and the Crimson Fucker left the battle. Franklin watched as the white haired individual grew in size and the battle ensured. Franklin glanced down at his palm and opened his hand. He felt so weak compared to these people. It was weird. And he didn't know how he felt. Sure, Mercutio had already scared the shit out of him with the way the man presented himself. But as he watched Taylor fight, he felt almost useless. He didn't possess the same amount of strength as any of Adrestia or their members. They seemed to all be strong on the battlefield. And what could he do? Think and shoot. Nothing beyond that. Everyone else seemed to simply more capable. He would never be on the same plane as them. He would be on his own world, with his intellect but overall lack of power.

With a flash of crimson, Franklin heard what Mercutio said as he spoke into the sky. It was so loud, so angry, he feared the most. What had just happened? In a minute he had gone from calm to chaotic. So much power seem to radiate from across the island, and Franklin didn't know how to react. He felt a mixture fear and respect. It was a strange combination and he couldn't explain it.

Franklin glanced up as the wind whipped past his face and glared at the two generals now in the air, courtesy of some of Mercutio's crimson energy. He looked as one of them shouted at him for him to join them. Giving a nod of his head, he jogged forward and made his way towards them. His clothes were already soaked with sea water and his hair and face was a bit sandy. "Mercutio took out an ad for him needing a cook. I recently arrived before you all appeared. The wave of water from the landing knocked me away for most of the battle," Franklin said once he arrived closer to the generals, and continued to walk as he spoke. "By the time I came to my senses, I heard Mercutio speaking of how he only wanted that person involved, so I decided to wait." He stuck out his hand when he was close enough to whomever would shake it. "My name is Franklin Rhodes. I've experienced the horrors of Oni firsthand and I hate WISH's ignorance. And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to help. And I make pretty good dessert." While it may have seemed overly dramatic or done to much, honesty seemed t be very important under these circumstances. It would be better to be straightforward rather than totally ignorant.

Artemis relaxed her wings and she shuffled into the warm sand even more. Her previous strenuous exercise, coupled with the warm sun and sand, made the orphan far more tired than one would usually be with an aggressive Kaiju nearby, not to mention a dangerous man as well. The furtive glances were the only thing really keeping the girl active and awake, although the times between the check ups dwindled. Thus when Mairu rushed over and scooped his friend up, Artie wasn't entirely prepared and got caught in his trap.

The little dragon huffed, clearly not amused. A disgruntled air hung about her, although she let her foxy friend have his hug. Mairu seemed as exuberant as ever, and a part of Artemis was glad that he had been shrunk down. How could one handle a fully excited giant fox? The thought made the orphan give another huff, however this one was in amusement. Her paws came up, ready to sign to her friend her responses to his questions.

"I didn't know you were the fox, not really. But I heard your voice, and thought I should help in case you were in trouble." Artie started, digits moving deftly. With the first question addressed, the dark creature became much more somber, recalling her own achievements against the Kaiju. It was easy to count, since her successful hits tallied up to a grand total of zero. "At least you could injure the thing. I couldn't do anything, even while flying". A combination of being too small, too weak, and too slow had rendered the little dragon essentially useless in that fight. 'But how often does one encounter a creature that big?'

Sighing, the orphan wriggled a bit in Mairu's grasp, testing exactly how much he had relaxed his grip as he settled down on the warm earth. Finding that he had given the girl enough room to move where she wanted, Artie started up his arms and onto his shoulders. She tried her best to move carefully, not wanting to injure her best friend, but all thoughts of that flew out of the window as the air gained a red tint. To begin with the little dragon paused, body tensed, arctic eyes alert. The two times that she had seen such a tint people had died. But a quick look around showed that the source of the crimson tinge was no where to be seen, which meant that the Kaiju most likely wan't the target.

'Whose going to die? How many?' Artemis began to get more anxious. A more worrying question chased the first two, causing a shiver to run down the girl's spine, her outward panic becoming clear to see. 'From how far can he kill us?'. Her grip on Mairu tightened, recalling the girl back to where exactly she was. Conflicting emotions to flee, either to the air or a hole where she could hide in, and staying behind to ensure the safety of her young friend rose up. Not that the little dragon held any hope of being able to escape from the crimson man. Instead of choosing one or the other, Artie did her best to do both. She huddled up close to Mairu's head, a wing curled around it to provide a rather pitiful guard. A small hiss escaped her lips, arctic eyes on the lookout for any red coloured danger that might be coming their way.

Sweet Baby Lemon Hands, the wizard, is here to the rescue!
It’s so nice to see you happy again.

Sonomi agreed prior to Mairu’s smile while he began to bounce around and show his excitement towards his role model. She couldn’t lie, those two were just adorable together like that of an older brother protecting his younger. The thought would more or less be kept to herself however as she suddenly watched the little fox burst his cloak to shreds with the fire he still maintained from his Maiju form. “Woah.” The first reaction the young woman had to say before blinking to see the cloak begin to reconstruct itself around his small frame. “I have to agree with Gjöll, it looks really cool to see that first hand. You all did a good job on making the cloaks.” She praised before placing both of her hands just in front of her lap for the time being.

To say Sonomi hadn’t just adored the little fox was more of an understatement as she smiled towards him. The short girl even felt her cheeks grow a small tint of red to them just before feeling the warm embrace of little Mairu clasping to her waist. “R-Ruru-chan…” The soft voice seeping out from her lips before she nodded down towards him and lightly play with his hair. It was something about hearing the words ‘Auntie Sonomi’ that made her feel all giddy about it, quite to unnatural feeling if she had to say so herself. “Of course we can do both, maybe after this blows over you and I can do something. Yeah? I’m sure you’d like that wouldn’t you?” She asked before getting to tell him how she really felt about seeing the sad expression on his face from before.

It seemed whatever she said struck a chord with him, the woman just seeing the younger’s eyes become watery before seeing a smile. “Ruru-chan…” She didn’t mean to make the little one cry! Through sheer hesitation did she move her hands to wrap around him and pull him into a deeper hug. This of course allowed Sonomi to feel the small wet tears on her neck as she whispered to him, “I’m sorry, please don’t cry. We’re here for you.” She moved her head back to get a proper look at the little guy, a small smile matching his forced one as she spoke louder. “Just because I say that you should never be sad doesn’t mean you always can. They’ll be times where a frown will show..” She continued before adjusting her arms to have one hold the boy and the other to boop his nose with her hand, “When that happens, rely on the two of us to help you instead of thinking you’re alone. I’ll do the same with you as well! I’ll tell you when I’m sad yeah?” There was a voice crack near the end as she couldn’t help but lie towards the small fox.

There was obviously some things she couldn’t tell him or the orphans.

She was soon to release the younger boy to allow him to go spend time with the little dragon, her eyes looking over towards them in particular before she thought to herself. It was weird but she’d been forcing herself to be happy with certain people when she hadn’t been, with Artemis for example, it was obvious that there was tension there but Sonomi herself couldn’t figure it out. Was it something she did? Her thoughts were too preoccupied on what she had been feeling, Artemis as the catalyst, to notice it was soon after that Mercutio placed them down upon the sand. Sonomi hadn’t even been paying attention to the Kaiju fight since they were a safe distance away, though maybe she could say it was confidence that Taylor could win their battle.

"I trust you two to handle this. I need to go reread something back at Kame House. Probably gonna read Black Clover or something..."

Sonomi snapped back to reality as Gjöll had tried to get Mercutio’s attention before the inevitable poof he had done so many times before. “Yeah, we should come to expect that now.” She said quietly at first before instinctively moving closer to him, a smile on her face as she arched an eyebrow. “Of course, we’re always together anyway right? We can handle anything as long as we’re side by side - I can’t just have you leaving me now right?” She said before realizing how she worded it and felt a sudden heat to her own face. She might of been clueless when it came to romantic emotions, but she wasn’t an idiot when it came to improper wording. “W-Wait… wait wait. Okay, wait. I meant PHYSICALLY- wait, that isn’t making it better. Okay, give me a second.” Whatever it was, Sonomi’s brain had been working overtime to just figure out exactly what the hell was going on and how to stop it. With a moment to place her hands on her face and breathe in did she look at everywhere BUT Gjöll, “Faulty word placement aside, we can’t exactly be the task team duo if one of us isn’t here.” She forced herself to say before allowing the distraction of the kid and older male to distract Gjöll.

Phew, thank God. The older woman thought to herself as she looked over towards Gjöll and then back towards the two males who he had acknowledged. She remained silent at first, the thoughts of before creeping back this time but not of a flustered feeling - more of sorrow as a realistic thought occurred to her. She had been feeling the same she had towards another guy a long time ago, but feeling like this and remembering what happened… Would Gjöll abandon her as well? She instinctively placed a hand on her chest, feeling her heartbeat quicken as she had been in silence panicking under her calm exterior.

Wanting to focus on something else for the meantime and not listening to Gjöll when he muttered towards her, knowing they’ll cross that bridge when they get to it, she looked over to the older male. Sonomi did of course hear Mercutio hoot and holler as he made a wave of sounds just a ways out, something that she’d need to know about after this day was over before using her other hand to rub the back of neck. “I have to agree with Gjöll and wonder why the two of you are here, but since you have spoken up first.. Frank-san then we can ask you questions first.” Sonomi continued before moving the hand on her chest to cross her arms, it was also noted that shortly before she spoke that she had actually moved a bit away from Gjöll for some odd reason. The action towards him would be seen by others around him if they’d notice her odd behavior.

The name drop surely got her to once again to another backflip, not thinking that ‘Oni’ was something that’d be dropped out of the blue on his first meeting. “. . Excuse me, did you just say Oni?” Sonomi asked rather straightforward before reaching out to shake his hand, her eyes on his as she was ready for the worst to happen. “Sorry, my name is Sonomi. I’m one of the generals here, but I believe you’re going to need to tell us exactly how you know Oni. That’s not exactly a name everyone knows or throws around, you understand don’t you?” The white haired girl continued to speak before looking to see the two kids still to themselves and out of ear’s distance. “You seem like you can handle yourself, but until you answer that and if it sounds reasonable enough - we’ll decide if you got the job. Don’t take it as us seeming prideful please. We got to be sure we know who we’re trusting with are food when we’re the world’s most wanted.” Just before finishing up did she release the grip she had on his hand before taking a few steps back and crossing her arms a second time.

If you do get the job, I’ll be showing you to make sweet tea. Don’t ask, it’s a very american thing I’ve grown fond of and would like another person to cook it with me.

Seeing how far away the Kaiju really was not the he was back on the ground was a sobering experience for Cameron. The adrenaline and better ferver had made the monster look much closer. It also helped that someone started to talk to him for the first time in the battle, instead of just to each other. He slowed to a jog instead of sprint and focused on regaining his stamina. He also slowed down because he was finally feeling the pain from the fall through his body. ”Uh, hello? I'm Cameron, Merc just kind of grabbed me and flew me here a few days ago. Do you guys just fight giant bugs all the time? Who's kull? Why is Merc shooting lightning on the other side of the island? Oh god I'm going to throw up blood later.”

The Kaiju swung, slicing through the air and cutting down a cluster of volcanic rock. Dust and wind swirled around violently following its strikes. But one thing it didn't cut down was the pesky human who skittered down between its legs. The beast roared and lurched forwards, about to spin as Taylor hit its leg. The impact pushed the Kaiju off balance and send a sting of pain up its leg. The Kaiju stumbled and got down on all fours, turning around furiously. Its second set of arms felt around but couldn't find Taylor.

Suddenly it felt a powerful tug on its back, followed by a sharp pain. It spun, trying to get them off, but unable to reach them. The beast roared and flailed around, screaming in pain as Taylor ripped off a piece of its carapace. The Kaiju fell to the ground, rolling over to try and squish them off of it. But it wasn't before Taylor struck it. Their punch crushed its flesh underneath, and the explosion spread out to burn it. The Kaiju shook violently and rolled around on the ground, attempting to shake off Taylor by smashing its back onto the ground. [B Power]

What it would look like if Alana had trees
Posted Image

Just the simple act was painful without a full plating of carapace on its back. Venomous saliva foamed at its mouth, building up unconsciously and uncontrollably from its pain. This was the worst it had been beaten in a long time, and it was starting to see glimpses of its death. The Kaiju roared again, this time out of defiance and despair, rather than pride.

It stumbled up to the side, swaying back and forth and panting heavily. It couldn't even feel the pain on its back; its senses impeded by shock and adrenaline. But the Kaiju knew it was hurt. Its legs wobbled and its back felt weak. An important section of a spinal cord-like section of its back was badly fractured. The beast scanned the area, finding Taylor for one last strike and sprinting at him. Rock cracked under its feet and clusters of rock were smashed aside. Arms and scythes raised in the air, it leapt down at Taylor and swung with all four; sharp gusts of wind and powerful concussive blasts ripping down from its strikes. [B Speed, B Power]

Taller than You
Gjoll and Sonomi's comments regarding the work on the cloaks made the tyke swell with pride, puffing his chest out and bringing a thumb up in response. It was at this moment that the fox was reminded of one of the changes that had come with his body, taking a second to observe his palm as his smile faded and a look of worry came onto his face, having found even the action of making a thumbs up a bit strange. His hand had definitely become some form of padded, his small fingers fat and some slight discoloration on the underside, rough to the touch and making it hard for him to move his fingers about nimbly as was needed for a lot of his favorite work. But he could still definitely make machines though, right? Just something he'd have to get used to was all...

Receiving some pets from his big brother, the tyke was brought out of his stupor, though his wondering had landed him in front of Sonomi, the pair sharing a tender moment, the boy at first misunderstanding her and thinking he should never be upset around them, quickly explaining that he was in fact free to feel and act as he chose, and that his brother and auntie would always be there to help him along. Feeling another damn of emotion burst, the boy's smile struggled to stay, removing his face from Sonomi's shoulder to shake loose some tears, sniffling as he forced another smile, nodding his head as he pulled back from the hug and proudly declared, "Only.. Only if you guys promise to tell me too! Then I'll take you guys out for ice-cream or give you rides or do anything to make you feel better! Just cause you're old doesn't mean you have to be in charge all the time!"

With a final nuzzle, the boy broke the hug, bowing to Mercutio and then making his way to Artemis, missing the former's abrupt exit as well as the approach of the newly beached folks. Instead, he was solely focused on his best friend, the huffs of indignation barely registering in the boy's ears, deep down thinking of the worst possible things that could have happened with Artemis in between the two giant beasts, imagining her being crushed, smacked or even struck buy what must have been a waterfall of poison to her. On the other hand though, he saw her as a far braver soul than himself, not even entertaining the thought of attacking the giant beast at his current size.

The small dragon was quick to explain that she was not fully aware that it had been Mairu himself as the giant fox, instead his voice having given him away, the boy nodding before a small smile appeared on his face and he scratched the back of his head, some worry in his voice as he stated, "Ehehe... I guess I musta been pretty loud... hope I didn't wake anyone resting in the hospital..." When it came to Artemis explaining how she felt a bit downtrodden, not having managed much against the beast, the boy merely smiled and shook his head, simply declaring, "i didn't do that much either, really. Big Brother Gjoll and Taylor were the ones who really hurt it, I just threw it around a bunch. But um,' Looking from side to side, the boy made sure no one was listening, seeing Sonomi and Gjoll in talks with strangers, though they didn't seem threatened so he paid it little mind. Instead, the tyke continued in a quieter voice, "I think you're the coolest and bravest of us all. Even though you're small, you always try and save me and protect me, no matter what. I hope I can be as brave as you one day..."

The battle took a new turn as Artemis moved to Mairu's shoulders, the quakes of their fight echoing throughout the island as Taylor put the kaiju on the ropes, Mairu letting out a single cheer, happy to see things coming close to an end. The cheerful moment was cut short, however, as a scream filled the beaches of Elysium, Mairu looking around as a familiar red haze took hold of the area. The boy's vision was abruptly blocked by a dark wing, sounds of hissing filling his ears as he realized Artemis had gone on the defensive... again...

Something clicking in the boy's brain, a soft smile came to his features, surprise fading and a soft tail raising itself up. The furry limb would slowly stroke the small dragon's back in an attempt to calm her, Mairu quiet as it sunk in once more how out of the loop he was. With a soft sigh, the fox boy said, "You really dun like him, huh?" Mairu had no intention of inquiring what exactly it was that angered the dragon so much about Mercutio, just like he had no intention of prying into anyone's secrets... but he did wish he at least knew some of the story, Elysium a mysterious place.

Raising a hand this time, small claws piercing through the cloak's material and somewhat into his skin, the boy lifted Artemis' wing off his eye as he tried to meet her eyes, continuously petting her with his tail as he declared, "Well, I guess he can be scary sometimes, but don't worry... I think I'm strong enough now to protect you and everyone else! In fact, I promise Imma pay you back for all the times you looked out for me, so you don't have to be scared anymore, okay?"

The Dork of Ages!!!!
Franklin felt a small smile grow upon his face. It seems his name drop of Oni had done the trick. Unlike many others, he seemed to know who Oni was, and knew a bit extra from fighting in its army. "Oh, don't worry. I understand. I should explain further. I'm from New Zealand. Its a place close to Australia and there has been a large scale war going on there for over 200 years. There are two sides, the Supporters of Oni and those who are against them. I joined the way to try and escape and joined the Pro-Oni side as it was the easier to join. And then I saw Oni on the battlefield that day. I can't explain what I saw very well, but Oni seemed to show great power. Terrifying power and I truly don't know what I think about it. In an instant, it could deflect attacks and kill. It even caused a dead baby inside a woman to be reborn inside her. Incredible power. And its like a monster and acts as every single life is its pawn." He took a deep breath and gazed at the battlefield.

"I understand the power behind that name and said it to get your attention. I want you to understand, I want to support your cause and this country to the best of my ability. And if being a cook for these lost people, I will gladly do this. WISH didn't help my people when we needed it. I won't be like this worldwide government, and help all that I can instead of myself." The man spoke calmly, with a slight waver in his voice near the end. As he said that last sentence his mind wandered to Olivia's death and the things he had learned after it all. The pain, the growth. The massive amount of stress that had undergone a massive mutation in his quirk. He had grown physically and psychologically because of everything he had experienced and would now use it to drive him forward. The things he said may have seemed long winded, but it was true. And it would be better to put everything out in the open now, instead of keeping secrets. He had nothing to offer them to show his own proof except his own word.

What was comforting, was that Sonomi didn't seem like the heartless person WISH made out all of Adrestia's members. She seemed to be a nice girl. "And I would gladly learn to make your tea. Whatever I can to help." He added. It was a bit unusual to see these powerful fighters acting so human. It was just another lie WISH had created.

Of course, we’re always together anyway right? We can handle anything as long as we’re side by side - I can’t just have you leaving me now right?

Already confused and slightly embarrassed by his own feelings, Sonomi’s comment was enough to turn his entire face a bright shade of red. Quickly realizing what she had actually said, the girl verbally stumbled over herself trying correct the wording of her statement. Her initial correction only ended up making things worse. As the white haired girl took a moment to think through how she actually want to say he next statement, he Gjöll was reminded of the last time he had seen Sonomi get flustered over words. Though last time they not been her own but the those of Maria, one of the orphan’s the other general cared for. Back then he had been completely lost why Sonomi was adamant about avoiding the topic that Maria had brought up. Gjöll could hear his heartbeat beginning increase beating loudly in his ears, as he slowly began to make a few connections. This would quickly catch his attention it was something that usually only that happened when he sensed blood, an internal indicator that his quirk was activating.

Could you knock it the fuck off?!’ He mentally shouted at his inner beast. ‘If things go wrong with Taylor I’ll likely need the help but not yet.
That’s not me you idiot… It’s all you. You and those emotions you seem so fond of.’ It internally growled back to him. Adding with a laugh ‘It’s ironic, for all that talk about learning humanity.. You’re still so clueless about the love you so desperately fight for...
How would you even know anything about it?!’ He questioned his feral side, externally his face turning beat red due to the accusation being presented ‘All you know is rage and violence, what makes you so certain and me so clueless?
The internal voice sighed, almost as if it had been expecting the question. ‘I am not bound by your pointless thoughts of friends and loyalty, So I have nothing to prevent me from seeing this for what it really is…You really are a hopeless child

Faulty word placement aside, we can’t exactly be the task team duo if one of us isn’t here.

Sonomi had figured how to convey the words that had been previously escaping her, but they hardly registered with Gjöll who was too lost in thought. He would use addressing the two strangers with them as a distraction for a moment, but as he waited for their response, he was stuck still thinking about her previous statement and revelation that his other side had just slammed him with. Was his other half just trying to toy with him.. Or did he actually have feelings for Sonomi?... And if it was true, did she feel the same way about him? He paused for a moment after the second question ran through his mind. Where had that come from?! The only way that question would have in crossed his mind was if ….His subconscious wasn’t toying with him after all. He actually did feel something more for her. Completely unsure how to handle the revelation, but fairly certain it was not really the time or place for such a discussion he would stay silent for now, but not before noticing the slight distance she had made between them.

Taylor’s fight with the Kaiju seemed to be coming to its peak. The monster seemed to be employing some unorthodox tactics most likely in a desperate last attempt to finish the pest that was plaguing it. Gjöll knew the duo didn’t have much time left in their empowered state. While he trusted Mercutio’s judgment of their abilities, with this new development he figured it would be better to be safe and prepare himself to intervene if need be. Again tapping into the instincts provided by his quirk, the scruffy Adrestian’s muscles would become more limber and his senses would become sharper, allowing him to better take in the information around them. He likely would have to take it one step further in order actually intervene in time, but that he would worry about crossing that bridge when he reached it.

Quickly checking back on Mairu and Artemis post Mercutio’s yelling, he found the later taking a defensive position over the the fox boy. He wasn’t sure what he found more amusing: that fact that she was trying to protect someone who only a few moments ago had been a large as a building, or that the small dragon thought that Mercutio would hurt Mairu. Unfortunately, despite the efforts Merc had made to help the orphans over the last year, it seemed that her view of the man had still not improved much.

Well that’s a bit odd. It been a little while since he’s brought anyone to Elysium himself.” Gjöll replied to Cameron’s story, allowing Sonomi to handle the other man for the moment. “Easy there one question at a time.. No, this is a bit of a rare one. Sure we end up fighting the occasional monster, but normally not here at home.” He paused before continuing making it clear that he was moving on to the next question. “Kull? Not sure where your from, but in Japan he was the notorious leader of a rather ruthless gang. Y'know before he somehow got himself elected as President of the U.S.. Don’t ask me how he managed that.. I’m still not sure. None of matters now since he’s dead now.. Hopefully they elect in someone better now anyway.” The manner of his speech was so matter of fact, if it weren’t for the serious look on his face you’d almost think he was joking. He would take a moment to breath before responding to the third question.

Not to sure on the lightning, whatever he went to go look into as him rather pissed at the moment.” After giving the lad a quick look over for any injuries he would give him a quick laugh in response. “Unless you’re feeling one of your lungs filling up with blood you’re probably fine. Hospital’s located in the center of the island if you are worried enough to want the Doc or one of the nurses check you out. Just mind his accent...it can be a bit much to get us-” He would cut himself short upon hearing Sonomi say the name Oni behind him, before excusing himself from the conversation. “Hang on....I need to find out if somebody else is going to die today. He finished the rest of the thought silently in his head. “If you got any more questions I’ll try to answer them in a moment.

Closing the little distance between them, Gjöll listened to Sonomi’s interrogation of the man, while scanning him from head to toe. He would gently place his hand on the girl’s shoulder, a silent gesture of support that wouldn’t interrupt her. While he had missed the first part of the conversation, from Sonomi’s questioning he would catch the he was here to apply for the cook position. The fact that he had chosen to mention Oni during his introduction, didn’t sit well with the scruffy Adrestian, not in the slightest. Fortunately for Franklin, it had been Sonomi who had been the one to first interact with him, as she was definitely the more level headed of the two of them about the whole Oni topic. Despite how much he hated Oni, Gjöll trusted Sonomi’s judgement, and would let the man try to explain himself.

So let me get this straight…” Gjöll began after hearing Franklin’s story. “Your saying that you are from this New Zealand, which is located down by the Dark Contin- the Australia. And is not only habitable but has been cut off from the most of the world in a constant war for the the last two centuries, despite no one else having heard about it? That you fought in this war, for the side the supported Oni, until you actually saw the bastard and what they were capable of, at which point you decided to no longer follow them?” He tone had a bit of disbelief to it, but given the nature of claims it should have been expected. Nothing the man was saying contradicted what they a they already knew about Oni, but it was obviously still a bit hard to accept. "Not saying I don’t believe you, but I hope you realize exactly how insane that story sounds. Just a word of friendly advice, be careful who you use that name around, while it can definitely get you attention, it may not always be the kind you want. Could give us a moment to discuss things please?

So what do you think?” Gjöll would ask the white haired girl beside him in a hushed voice, providing Franklin had given them a bit of space. “I trust you on this: Do you think he’s telling the truth or do you think is this just some sketchy Wish/Oni plot to get someone onto the island? Either way, given his claims, we can’t just let him leave, not at least until we let Mercutio knows about his story.” He was very confident she would agree with him on the last part.

If Sonomi believed that they should give Franklin a an opportunity to prove himself as a chef he would continue “If he’s actually honestly here for the position, once we finish up with the Kaiju, we might as well have him try making something. Knowing Merc he better be able to make a pretty decent ramen dish… Oh if he can pass that, maybe some type of ice cream for Mairu. What do you think?

There wasn't enough time for the fused siblings to pay attention to anyone else around as the fight between them and their second foe of the day raged on. They had managed to execute their last gambit, but time was running short. If they didn't finish the fight in the next moment the one would become two again and things would get much worse. Time was not on their side though as the Kaiju started to roll and thrash with them on it's back.

Taylor gripped onto part of the still intact chunks of carapace with everything the siblings could muster with both hands while their feet dug into the carapace on the Kaiju's back. Water, rocks, the Kaiju's jagged exoskeleton, and the creature's weight would be enough to put serious damage on Fusion-Ha. By the time the Kaiju stopped thrashing around the fused body would be covered in cuts and bruises. But they wouldn't be thrown off so easy. They still had enough time to finish the battle. Rosa almost spoke out to give her brother a warning about how long they had but realized her brother already knew. Any time spent thinking about what to do would just window they had.

As the Kaiju roared, Taylor breathed in to keep their muscles swelling. Then still keeping hold with both arms, pushed off with both feet. The rubbery body would be their best tool for offense and defense as it allowed Fusion-Ha to snap back place from where they had kicked off. Both feet would be aimed at the Kaiju's exposed weak point as it attempted to search for them. After the kick with both feet, the fused siblings would bounce off to behind where the Kaiju faced. Fusion-Ha kept a low stance, ready to dodge back if the beast charged them with some extra help from explosions on the front of their body. With the energy keeping them together nearly running out, Taylor gave one last taunt, "No bug is too big to be stomped."

Mairu's comment about how brave the little dragon was about diving into that fight, and how he wanted to be as brave as her one day, was grimly amusing to the girl. "I just did what I thought I needed to do" Artie signed to her friend. In hindsight, the orphan realized just how close she had come to death, and how stupid that decision was. Only a small hit by the Kaiju could've ended her life, or at least had her end up in the hospital for a long period of time while she healed.

With Artemis terrified about what might happen, her foxy friend's actions soothed her, although his words worried her. The gentle stroking calmed her somewhat, easing a bit of her trembling. The creature removed her wing slightly, so as to not hinder Mairu in what he wanted to do, but still be ready to throw it in the way of any attack should one come. The boy's confidence in being able to defend Artemis, however, was far from reassuring. 'Doesn't he know how easy Mercutio can kill?' Too worried to let go of Mairu, the little dragon simply patted her friend's head softly, as if to tell him not to worry. Artie didn't know what she'd do if someone else that she held dear to her died.

The orphan settled down into a permanent position. She sat down on Mairu's shoulder, huddled up against his head, with a wing around the back of his head and her tail loosely curled around his neck. It was the closest that Artemis could really get to a hug and, in this situation, the trembling girl wanted to comfort. From her perch on the fox's shoulder she tried her best to watch the fight, and the ignore the slowly dissipating red mist. Despite that, Arctic eyes would still wander about every so often, her position enabling Artie to keep a good look out in every direction.

Sweet Baby Lemon Hands, the wizard, is here to the rescue!
Sonomi sat in silence as she waited a response from Franklin, her ears picking up on the conversation that the younger boy and Gjöll had in tow. Hearing the whole American Elections and how Mercutio brought people to the island towards the small boy who was confused. It seemed he had a whole ton of questions that ended up leaving Sonomi herself smiling before she looking over to see Franklin had found the words to start talking. “Take your time, you’ll need it.” She said warmly towards the older male before feeling Gjöll gently place his hand on her shoulder, that comforting feeling creeping back on her as she breathed in. It appeared that Gjöll was going to listen to him just as much as Sonomi did, taking it all in about hearing something about a war to openly choosing to say ‘fuck Oni’ and leave his side to join Mercutio’s.

Gjöll was the first to give his analysis on how he interpreted the reasoning presented from the older man. Sonomi mentally agreeing with what he was saying before taking a few glances between him and Franklin as if to think about what to say vocally as well. Surely, the word ‘Australia’, was new to her but overall everything else made sense before she crossed her arms to represent thought rather than disinterest. “Are you sure they aren’t going to pop up here?” Sonomi abruptly said after a pause before she continued, “Oni I mean. You said it yourself that you sided with them, but what stops it from showing up here? Did they leave a ‘tracker’ on you or anything?” The idea was something that had Sonomi racking her brain in thought about upon remembering the incident at the Gala involving Mercutio’s arm being blasted off. Was Elysium strong enough to face Oni if they WERE to show up? Who was to say that Oni hadn’t been stronger since they last time they revealed itself to them?

Could give us a moment to discuss things please?

If Franklin did comply and allow the two generals to talk, Sonomi would allow for Gjöll to ask her some thoughts on the whole situation before she uncrossed her arms to rub at her chin. The woman wanted to believe there was some truth to what he said, no matter how outrageous it sounded considering she’d been in that boat at times. Call it a hunch, but there was just something about the way he worded everything that Sonomi couldn’t help but reach out to him. “I think… as crazy as it sounds that he give him a chance despite the whole… ‘Oni’ ordeal.” She began in a soft tone before she used a hand of hers to rub at her neck, “I won’t lie and say that I’m not as skeptical as you are about it, but there’s no use trying to constantly think WISH is out to get us. Who knows, maybe Mercutio would be ecstatic about Oni showing up on the beach someday.” It sounded outlandish when the short woman said it out loud, but it was only then that she smiled and looked over towards Gjöll. “I’ll just say this was my decision in case things go sour, I don’t want you to get into trouble.” She finished as she straightened herself out to hear his last bit on what they should make him cook.

Yeah, we can have him possibly cook us a fine meal after this fight is over? I could take that time to also show him how the tea is made and see how well he does in picking things up on his first try. Ice cream sounds like a good thing for Mairu and Artemis as well. This’ll be more or less a test for him to see how well he can do with preparing multiple dishes.” She inquired before looking over for a moment at Gjöll, almost as if she wanted to say something else to him before slightly shaking her head and drawing back Franklin’s attention. When the older male got close enough to the general’s again, Sonomi smiled warmly towards him before using a hand to wave around in hope to lighten the mood. “We’ve decided to give you a chance in showing us what you can do in the kitchen, but if worse comes to worse - we also expect you to help defend this island. Do you understand that? We’re in the war right now and whatever happens, we’ll need people to defend this island with their life on the line.” Her voice was sincere when she spoke towards the older man, but she wasn’t trying to scare him off as she continued. “If you think you can do that and help us gather cooking supplies to help you, then I think you’ll fit right in on Elysium. Does that sound like a nice plan to you?” She asked before she outstretched the same hand she waved prior towards him in the form of a handshake.

The Kaiju thrashed around, roaring in pain as it tried to shake off Taylor. The human was so small, yet so grand at the same time. In the Kaiju's eyes, the fused boy was no longer some pest. No, it could see death creeping around the corner. It could see the grim expression on the reaper's face as it crept forwards. It couldn't see Taylor as he leapt back, nor could it see his hands which were still gripping tightly to its carapace. It hadn't even seen his stretching capability yet, and before it could turn around to try and see him, Taylor slung back down and crashed into its back with a power dive.

Death.

Pain flared throughout its whole body, and the Kaiju tumbled forwards. The hit landed in the same area they struck before—where they had ripped off a chunk of its shell and ravaged its flesh. Its internal body structure was already harmed by their attack on its back, and this strike hit deep. Violent shockwaves rocked forwards to its front and caused even a rupture of blood to spray from its chest.

The Kaiju toppled forwards again, stumbling around and righting itself back onto its hind legs with all its focus. It looked around, vision blotted with dark spots and blurred in a haze of motion. It roared again, releasing a guttural croaking sound of clicks and moans. It found Taylor's small shape in the area once more, looking at them, unsure if they were even there. It tried to focus—failing slightly as it couldn't. The beast was running out of time, prone to death by blood-loss, so it clenched its maw and vaulted its own huge body at them. Whether or not it landed on them and struck the fused being like it intended to, the beast would slam into the rocky ground of Alana and skid forwards; sharp scythes dragging under it from where it tried to slash Taylor.
