The sound of Logan's alarm clock was cut off by the action of Logan shoving the entire thing into his mouth and chewing it, swallowing the broken pieces completely. He sat up in his bed and wiped his eyes before staring blankly at the empty space where his alarm clock had once been. "Ah shit......not again..." This kind of thing had been happening to him a lot lately. With the recent mutation of his quirk, Logan's hunger had somehow gotten even worse and because of this he would randomly eat things without thinking. This had been the seventh alarm clock he had eaten in the last week and if he didn't get a grip on his quirk then he would probably eat more. Wiping his eyes, Logan stepped out of bed in his briefs and lazily sauntered over to the en-suite. Waking up in the morning was so hard and he was always so hungry that it bordered on painful. One could only imagine how irritable this would make someone but Logan was slowly getting used to it. Entering the bathroom, Logan closed the door and took a quick shower before wrapping a towel around his waist and brushing his incredibly sharp teeth. He stared into the mirror, holding up a razor to his face and quickly shaving. Skogul would probably be here any minute now and it would be awkward if he wasn't ready when she got there.

"Ariana!" He called out from the bathroom. "Skogul will be here soon, you have to wake up." Oddly enough, Logan had become pretty close with the young princess of Canada. The little moth had taken a liking to him when they first met and for whatever reason she had become attached to him, preferring to rest on his shoulder whenever the two of them were together. Normally Logan would not have appreciated something like this but the moth was just a child and he had actually enjoyed her company. As such, the two of them had bonded almost instantly and now they went everywhere together. Logan had even set up a little hammock for her to sleep on in the corner of his bedroom. After finishing with his shaving, Logan quickly walked into his closet and got changed into some jeans and a white t shirt. It was winter out but Logan's metabolism was so potent that his body temperature was way above the norm. As a result he never wore a winter jacket because it tended to make him too hot. Walking downstairs and entering his kitchen, Logan would open the fridge and guzzle some bagged milk before shoving an entire box of cereal down his throat. This didn't sate his hunger in the slightest but he only did it to keep up his energy. "I hope Skogul brought some food with her" Logan's digestive system was so fast that he metabolized the things he hate instantaneously and as a result this meant that his body tended to run out of energy unless he constantly ate. Eating gave his body incredible energy but not eating made his body fatigue. At least he could eat anything.

The burly man sat down in his den drinking some coffee and reading the newspaper as he waited for Ariana to come downstairs and Skogul to knock on his door. Being in such a high ranking position earned Logan a very generous salary, allowing him to afford a very nice house. It wasn't too big but it was big enough and furnished nicely to the point where Logan could live in great comfort. He loved sitting in the den like this. For a short while he was free of any responsibility and that was bliss. Unfortunately Skogul would knock on his door any minute now, signifying the start of Logan's day.

"Hnnnnnng."

Ariana moaned as she stretched her little arms out, fumbling around on her hammock before finally sitting up straight. "Okaay, I'm coming," she mumbled, then falling back down and resting her head on the pillow again. It was a struggle, waking up. Her humble abode back in the country side let her just sleep for a few days on end. It was also boring though.

With a sigh, she finally overcame the euphoric feeling of sleeping with her sheer willpower. Once again she sat up, looking to her left at the open door. From what she could remember; Logan was meeting some guy today. She personally didn't care, but it was for Logan. The hammock swayed as she rolled off, her small wings extending out and fluttering intermittently as the girl flew out of the room. Zipping around, she flew out of the room and down into the floor below. "There you are," she hummed, floating down and sitting atop Logan's head.

The newspaper in his hands was a window into the world at large, Ariana gazing down at it as she toyed with his hair. "Who're we waiting for again?" she asked, grabbing two strands of Logan's hair and pretending they were two lightsabers fighting one-another.

If Skögul had to pick one thing she loved the most about Canada, it would be the winter. Mostly the aesthetic of the season though, and not so much the weather. Everything was just so pretty when it was covered in a nice fresh layer of snow. It helped that in the winter, she could have as many blankets as she wanted... hell, she could even have a fire! One that wasn't from her own quirk even! The only downside was that she had to get up super early in the morning when it was still freezing cold outside... but it meant she got to enjoy the day sooner! And if there was a fresh snowfall, she'd get to enjoy it sooner before everyone trampled all over it!

Following her usual routine of waking up at five in the morning, Skögul would go start her morning with a nice shower. After that, she'd get ready for the day, making a quick breakfast and some coffee (and getting a thermos ready so she could take some for the walk over to Logan's abode). Once she had eaten her fill, Skögul would get herself dressed for the day. A simple long-sleeved white shirt, a black suit jacket, and a black skirt and leggings. She'd make sure to bring along her high heels so she could change into them once she got to work, but beyond that was the decision to leave her hair down today. Once she was dressed for work, she'd make a lunch for the day, pack up whatever she'd need for the day, put on some winter boots so she wouldn't slip on any ice, and leave for work... as well as to pick up Logan along the way.

The trip itself wasn't too interesting. It being almost quarter to seven, most people were just waking up to greet the morning. That was fine by Skögul's standards. If people didn't get up early, then that meant things were quiet and the snow would still be fresh (minus the few stray indents from animals and the occasional vehicle). Beyond that, things were fairly uneventful until she arrived to Logan's house. Once she was there, she would kock on the door three times, waiting patiently for her employer to step outside so they could go to work.

"Mister Madison, time to get up! Come on out!" After that, Skögul would patiently wait for her boss, thankful that is wasn't too cold out. Standing out in the cold in leggings wouldn't have been fun, especially when you walked to work.

"Who're we waiting for again?"

Logan almost rolled his eyes into the back of his head as he attempted to look up at Ariana without tilting his head back. After failing to get a visual on her he gave up and focused back on the newspaper that was in front of him. "My assistant, Skogul. You've met her before. She usually comes by to make sure I'm up and ready for work." At this time, Logan would feel the tiny moth girl playing with the strands of his hair. It wasn't something that he minded but it wouldn't be very good if his hair got messed up. "Try not to mess up my hair, kid. The last thing I need is the tabloids taking another unflattering picture of me." Logan chuckled slightly as he turned the page of the newspaper. Canada's economy wasn't doing so hot right now but the sin of Gluttony was going to do everything in his power to try and change that. Something like that wouldn't happen overnight however so all Logan could really do was try to initiate the change.

The sound of three sharp knocks on Logan's door caused him to look up from his paper. It appeared that Skogul had arrived. Reaching a hand up to his head, Logan attempted to gently pluck Ariana from his hair and place her on one of his broad shoulders. "That's our cue. It's time to go." Standing up from his chair, Logan drained the rest of his coffee and shoved the newspaper into his mouth, swallowing it almost instantly. It wasn't much but the paper and coffee would probably provide the man with enough energy for at least half of the walk to the office. Letting out a deep sigh, the governor general walked over to the door and slipped on some casual running shoes before moving to the door. As he went for the handle, Logan could smell Skogul on the other side. For whatever reason, Logan had a superhuman sense of smell which allowed him to detect and distinguish people based on their scents. However the range of it didn't extend very long meaning the people had to be somewhat close by. For instance, since Skogul was standing just outside Logan's door he was able to pick up her scent. He hoped that she wouldn't start wearing perfume or using a different type of shampoo because otherwise it would put him on edge. The man was used to the apple scented shampoo that the girl used so if she ended up changing that then it would take a while before he would be able to remember her scent again. It was a really cool ability to have but it also fucked with him a lot. Whenever somebody passed gas, Logan was the first to know. Whenever someone used too much deodorant or perfume, Logan's nose was viciously assaulted and if somebody hadn't bathed in a while then Logan was not in for a good time.

Pulling the door open, Logan was greeted by the sight of his well dressed colleague standing on the steps of his house. She was dressed in a commanding outfit that made her look incredibly important while Logan on the other hand was wearing a random white t shirt and some old jeans. Seeing what the girl was wearing, Logan looked down at his own clothing before deciding he didn't really care enough and walking out of his house, locking the door behind him. People could criticize him for his clothes all they wanted, at the end of the day they weren't the things that decided how much work was done. Comfort ability was everything to the sin of Gluttony and as such he dressed the way he wanted to, no matter the occasion. "Alright let's go then. This is Princess Ariana, Skogul. Ariana this is Skogul. I'm fairly sure you guys have already met but oh well." Not giving it another second thought, Logan walked down the steps of his house and headed in the direction of the parliament buildings.

"Skogul shmogul." Ariana tried her best to remember the woman, the thought of another woman trying to intrude on Logan and Ariana's time pissing her off. The little moth-girl crossed her arms, eyes glowing purple as she thought about getting rid of them. What heathen of a woman was trying to weasel her way into Logan's life. Ariana was determined. There was only enough room on Logan's shoulders for one person; and that would be Ariana.

Speaking of shoulders, Logan plucked her off of his head and onto his shoulder. Almost instantly, Ariana forgot about what she was planning to do and snuggled cosily on her makeshift bed. Her arms hung limply at each side and her eyes dimmed. Logan got up and opened the door, Ariana shifting her eyes up slightly at Skogul. There was venom in her glare, squinting a little to try and look intimidating. Possibly though, she just looked half-asleep and barely conscious.

"hi."

Skögul would wait ever so patiently for her boss to answer the door, and when finally he opened up, she was there to meet him with a cheerful smile and a wave of her hand. Skögul's smile would persist even as Logan, rather curtly and straight to the point, advised that they should get moving before introducing the small creature on his shoulder as one 'Princess Ariana'.

"A pleasure to meet you, and a good morning to you, Milady." Skögul would offer a proper curtsy in the face of one that had been introduced as royalty, even if her boss already begin along the path to their work. The Princess, for her credit, just seemed to look tired. Poor girl must not have gotten enough sleep... maybe a soothing tea would do the trick later? Skögul would have to remember that for later. For now, the assistant would quicken her pace to keep in stride with Logan, letting the trio travel in silence before raising her hand to her mouth to clear her throat.

"If I might, sir, would you permit me to talk about what you have planned for today? I can understand that you may not wish to deal with work before you actually get there, but I believe that preparing one's self for the coming day is the key to success! And before you think about it or even ask, I told the catering service to ensure that your breakfast, in its usual size of course, is to be delivered to your office by seven in the morning, and not a minute later." Skögul would look to Logan for confirmation that she could go ahead with talking about what Logan had planned for the day. If he denied her, then she would simply find another avenue of discussion to fill in the travel time between Logan's house and their location of work. One way or another, Logan would end up hearing what would be going on, so in the end it didn't really matter.

With the two girls now having formally met each other, Logan continued on in the direction of their work. He wanted to get there as quickly as possible so that he could eat something. His stomach was rumbling like usual and Logan didn't want to have to eat a random thing on the way there. Unfortunately in the battle between his mind and stomach, Logan's stomach always won and he knew he needed to eat something quickly or else his body would start to fatigue. As they continued to walk, they would pass a bush that was full of snow-berries. They were pretty poisonous but Logan gave no shits, grabbing a branch and munching on it. There was nothing Logan couldn't eat safely and it made it very easy to find food.

Skogul would begin speaking out the day she had planned out for Logan to which he would respond by simply listening silently. His eyes lit up when she mentioned the large meal that had been ordered for him. "Wonderful. I have such a great assistant, eh Ariana?" The sin of gluttony smiled to himself as he finished eating the berries. Skogul was very reliable and it appeared that he had made a good decision when hiring her. After walking for a bit the three of them would reach their destination and hastily make their way to Logan's office. Once there, Logan would rummage around in one of his drawers. "I'm quite happy with your performance so far, Skogul." Logan would stop rummaging around, having found what he was looking for. "I figure you can probably make good use of this." It was then that the Governor General pulled out a Canadian Knight's license and slid it across the table towards the girl. "I figure you can make good use of this. Aside from myself, you're the only one that carries one of these so if you use ti to get into trouble I'll know it was you. However I don't need to worry about you letting me down now do I?"

With that out of the way, Logan sat down at his desk and got to work, taking out some paper work form the night before and signing each page one after the other. It was boring work and the fact that it was coupled with his insatiable hunger made this almost a living hell. However he continued on anyways. This was his responsibility and he was more than happy to take charge.

Maybe she's not that bad, Ariana thought. She eyed Skögul once more, musing over the bizarre nordic name. Ariana couldn't tell if the woman was just acting polite to trick her or if she was actually just nice, but as long as Logan trusted her; it was good enough.

On the way there she simply dozed off on Logan's shoulder. Skögul's endless blabbering about schedules and planning flew over Ariana's head. She had no interest in such things and therefore invested her time in sleeping and watching Logan eat. The wind and conversation acted as white noise to help soothe her nerves. Really, she enjoyed the area. Initially, she'd thought that a lofty position like Governor General would force Logan to go to big noisy places and do meeting with lots of annoying businessmen. But for the most part, it wasn't bad.

"Yeah," she murmured, when Logan asked for her opinion on Skögul. She was nice enough. Ariana was still reluctant to fully entrust the plotting woman with Logan—but she wasn't as apprehensive as before.

As they arrived, Ariana was jolted awake by the change in scenery. She looked around the room with glazed eyes, then looked to Logan whose head was so close to hers. He was giving Skögul something, seemingly of value.

As much as she wanted to stare in envy at Logan's show of approval, the girl just lay there with her tiny mouth hanging open in fatigue. As Logan and Skögul prepared for the work day, Ariana just watched them lazily in wonder. "Why do you work?" she asked Logan, squirming around on his shoulder as he sat and finding a more comfortable position. "Why be a general governor or whatever." It was a simple question, but not one that she'd asked him. Did he just want to help people? She thought maybe that was the reason. Ariana did like that kind side of him, which despite his scary appearance, he had.

When Skögul, Logan, and Ariana arrived at the parliament building, Skögul would rattle off Logan's itinerary for the day, and would beam when he told the Princess that he had such a great assistance and praised her for the work she'd done for him. It meant a lot to her to hear such open praise, seeing as she had just barely been working for the man for around half a year now. Of course, despite this praise, Skögul hadn't been ready for the Governor General to produce what looked to be some kind of license from his desk drawer, alongside a medal of a maple leaf, and placed them both on top of the surface, saying that she could make good use of them. Skögul looked at both items hesitantly before slowly reaching for them to look at them. While it was clear the medal, shaped in the form of a maple leaf, was clearly for decorative purposes, the card was what caught her attention the most. In her studies for this job, Skögul had learned that world leaders could hand out what was referred to as a Knight's License. Essentially a badge stating that the person who held it had the authority and permission to act in their stead... within reason, of course. Skögul would run her hand along the card, a simple front with the design of the Canadian flag emblazoned upon it. Flipping over the card, Skögul would find a great deal of very formal print, explaining what it was for.

"I won't let you down, Mr. Madison! And don't you worry, I won't be causing you any trouble with something like this. I know better then that." She'd beam another smile at Logan as she held both items tightly in her hands. Of course, the thought to use such an item while going around as Grimm had certainly crossed her mind... but if only one was issued, then who would believe that Skögul Odiana and Grimm were two separate entities? Giving Logan and Ariana a polite bow, Skögul would momentarily leave the office in order to get her own working affairs in order for the morning. Her first stop would be her office, located just outside of Logan's. It wasn't as spacious, but that was fine. She had a desk, a chair and computer for herself, and a view of anyone coming and going into Logan's office via a large pane of glass. Sitting at her desk, Skögul would place her licence and medal by her computer for now before she started the machine up. Once it was booted up, Skögul would search through her email to see what was pressing for the day, printing off anything that would need either her or Logan's immediate attention.

After thirty minutes, Skögul would go to the front entrance to the parliament building to meet the catering service she had hired, guiding their crew towards Logan's office as they brought five full buffet carts of food. It had taken some spending and some favors to get this kind of thing arranged for Logan, but it was always worth it in the end. Before she spoke to him, she'd double back to her own office and grab the large stack of paper she'd printed off. She'd return to the Governor General and place the stack of paper on his desk.

"These are most of the pressing issues for the day, Logan. You have... A petition to end production of bagged milk and related items. There's a proposal to end the cruelty against horseflies, whatever that means. Some fans have sent you some letters as well, though don't worry, I've already combed through some of the more... concerning ones. After that there is just some general reports I need you to sign off on. Oh, and before I forget!" Skögul would rush over to search over the buffet carts before finding what she had been looking for: a small bowl of grapes and a small pillow. She'd gotten the catering crew to pick them up on their way over once Skögul had learned Logan would have a guest with him, and thankfully they were willing to do so at no extra charge. Moving back to the desk, Skögul would smile at the small moth girl as she placed both items close to each other on the desk. "I... didn't really know if you were hungry or if you'd like anything, but I picked you up something to go with Logan's meal as well. And a pillow to sit on in case you just wanted to relax or sleep." Skögul would again flash Ariana a smile before turning to Logan, hands folded in front of her. "Is there anything else you need, Sir?"

Logan nodded in approval at Skogul's declaration of not letting him down. He knew she was trustworthy, probably the most trustworthy employee that he had working for him and that was one of the reasons why he had decided to give her the license. The girl would then leave his office to go get her affairs in order, prompting Logan to turn his head to Ariana in an attempt to get a good visual of her on his shoulder. Just a bit earlier she had asked him why he had decided to be in the position that he was now. It was a pretty juvenile question but Ariana was only seven so she lacked lots of experience. "It's my hubris. I see somebody trying to run the country and all I can think of is that I could do better. In fact I know I can do better than them. I want whats best for this country and the only way to achieve that is if I get my hands dirty and work my ass off." With that, Logan plucked Ariana off of his shoulder and placed her on the window sill of the office. He had gone out and bought the tiny girl a handheld gaming device for her to play on while he worked. She may have been the princess but she was still very young and there wasn't really much for her to do around the office. "Why don't you play some games while I work. I put a bunch of different ones on that thing so you should have a good time."

It was at this time that Skogul would make her way back into Logan's office with what appeared to be five full buffet carts of food. Wonderful, Logan was starving and although the food would do literally nothing to curb his hunger, eating helped focus his mind and keep his energy in check. Logan stood up and grabbed a plate along with a knife and fork before piling the plate up with a large assortment of food. If he was in his own home then he would just shove everything into his mouth as fast as possible but this was his office and he had an image to uphold so whenever he ate at work he would do it with a knife and fork. Sitting back down at his desk, Logan would start eating as he listened to Skogul speak about the pressing issues he would have to deal with for today. After she was finished speaking, Logan would respond. "Fan letters, eh? What do you mean by concern-forget it, I don't want to know. So that's it then?" It was still quite a bit of work but compared to the usual workload that Logan had to plow through, today would actually be a pretty easy day. "There's nothing else I need right now. Thank you, Skogul. You're relieved for now."

The sin of gluttony would then get to work on all the paperwork he had to do. He would start it off by denying the petition to remove bagged milk as it made no sense to him. After all, it was the superior way to store milk. As for the horseflies, that was just completely stupid. Didn't these people have better things to do than push for stupid things and waste Logan's time? Canada was not in a great place from an economical standpoint yet the public kept focusing on stupid shit rather than the actual important things. Logan didn't understand it but he would not humor their idiocy in the slightest.

Ariana struggled, in futility, as Logan removed her from his shoulder. Dropped onto the window sill, she stopped flailing her arms and crossed her arms glumly—and puffed up her cheeks. "Fine," she mumbled. Her short annoyance quickly died off though, as Logan answered her question. She didn't really understand what he meant, but figured it was something he like doing, and that was good enough for her.

Not long after, Skögul entered the room and laid a stack of papers on Logan's desk. Ariana didn't pay any attention to this, but her ears perked up once the suspicious woman brought food and a pillow. A smile tugged at the edges of Ariana's mouth and she thanked the woman in her high-pitched voice. "Thanks!" Her eyes brightened and lit aflame when she saw the grapes. With a few flutters of her wings, Ariana flew up and towards Logan. She bumped into his arm and gave him an affectionate squeeze, then fluttered down to his desk and onto the pillow. She looked up at Skögul as well and considered giving her a hug too, but decided against it. Instead she just gave the woman a smile and grabbed a grape.

Posted Image

"Thanks you Ms. Skögul," she called out again, cheerfully plopping down on her pillow and staring at the grape. The pillow was nice and soft as well, supporting her small tush as Ariana balanced herself on the soft casing of cotton.

In comparison to Ariana, the grape was big. To most, the bowl of grapes would just be a quickly devoured snack. But to Ariana instead, each grape represented a juicy ball of sweetness. Rotund and smooth, she loved them. Ariana rubbed the grape on her cheek, feeling its cold surface. And then she bit its side, taking out a chunk and relishing the taste. The section she bit from revealed the translucent and juicy inside of the grape, which Ariana stared into as she chewed.
