”That’s the stuff,” groaned a man, his cold voice rasping against the rusted floors. His eyes were closed in ecstasy, relishing the taste of something. A wisp of vapour leaked out from his mouth as he talked, forming from the freezing cold air. It was just barely visible, dimly lit by the few overhanging lights which were far above the man’s head in this giant room. Letting out a sigh, his head rested against his metal chair - although it would be more accurate to describe it as a throne. A large metal throne, too big for the average man to fill. He remained seated there as time passed on, motionless like a corpse, long bony arms stretched out and resting on the armrests, eyelids lazily resting down. And yet, even as his eyes were closed, if one was there; they wouldn’t be able to shake an inescapable feeling. As if something was looming there, in the dark, watching in quiet from behind that giant throne, waiting. ”Here ya’ are,” said a jubilant old man, turning his head back as he did. He was sitting at the driver's seat, controlling the small shabby bus as it tumbled on forwards. Lifting his foot off the pedal, the bus let out a squeal of relief and stopped. The engine quiet, the cheery pop music from his radio flooded into his ears. "Doo doo dooo do," he hummed under his breath, putting the bus into park. They’d been driving up an inclining hill for a while, finally reaching the peak after half an hour. And just there at the top, not far away from where they’d stopped, was a sight not many would ever see. A massive circular vault door, thick metal all the way through. It was big enough to fit a damn house through. The opening jutted out of the side of a mountain, right at its base. Just a week ago, this bus wouldn’t have even been able to near the area. But that was a week ago, and since then things had changed. As it was, the door was wide open, swung to one side as light shined into the abandoned interior. ”That there’s the only entrance,” the bus driver said, pushing a lever and opening the bus’ door. There were 4 people in the bus, all of which looked to be a bizarre crowd. With one glance you could tell something was going on. The bus driver himself knew what they were here for, he was their guide after all. And he had some pity in his eyes as he looked at them - a creeping feeling that they wouldn’t make it out alive. ”As you know, your job’s to infiltrate the reserve and find out what the hell’s going on. Report back with your findings then, you'll receive further instructions after. Each of you grab one of these on your way out,” he said, pointing to 4 brick phones lined up next to the bus’ exit. They were heavy duty, just the caliber necessary for this mission. As it was, the vault was 2 floors deep, going down underground where most signals would be blocked out. The 4 would have to hope that these phones would work. ”Good luck.” Once they all exited, the man would drive off, heading back the way they came. The group would only be a few dozen meters away from the large vault doors. They were open, light seeping in from outside into the dark interior and illuminating some of it. Aside from that, there were a few dim lights, some flickering on and off, others just about to die. Dank Brick Phones OOC

Codi sat on the bus and repeatedly convinced himself that this is what heroes do, they help people who are in need of....help. He understood that but a major part of him wanted to be at home working on perfecting his new venom attack. Instead Codi chose to do what the heroic thing to do is. “This is stupid.” He said loud enough for at least one of the other four suckers who were on this “adventure” with him. He sat back in his seat and closed his eyes. As he had his eyes close he thought about his favorite hero Red Justice. Codi as long as he’s had a quirk as looked up to Red Justice, he wasn’t a big fan of Spectrum but since Red Justice was their leader he tolerated them. He slowly opened his eyes and murmured to himself “One day I’ll be the best hero and I’ll take the mantle from Red Justice, whether he likes it or not.” He smiled at that last part. Codi Sokahtori, number one hero! That was a title he could learn to love. As he slowly came back to reality the bus finally arrived at the destination. The bus driver started giving them information, all which Codi tried to ignore but heard one important part, “Report back with your findings then, you'll receive further instructions after. Each of you grab one of these on your way out.” The man then pointed to four of the ugliest phones that Codi had ever seen. Codi walked to the front of the bus, grabbed a phone and started to bang it on the wall of the bus testing the durability of it. “I guess this will do.” He said with a sigh and putting it in his pocket. The man then wished everyone luck which Codi quickly retort, “Luck as nothing to do with being a hero.” Filling his voice with much disdain. To Codi, when you reduce things to luck it takes away skill and it takes skill to be a hero. Codi walked of the bus breathed in the air and waited for the others to join him. |

When Edmée had gotten on that bus, she didn't think that she was going to be sitting so near to someone that was as mentally unstable as the American across the aisle and to her right, just had that look in his eyes. At first, she thought that he was nervous, and so she had slapped the ancient pair of wireless headphones over her ears and took a nap to some of the most recent additions to her phone's musical library She had even managed to nod off even after a few minutes. After somewhere between the moment that her brain stopped paying full attention to what was going on around her, her music list coming to an end, and some unknown amount of time into the bus ride she heard him start talking. "This is stupid." Edmée's eyes opened to a squint. Of all things she had to wake up to, it had to be someone suddenly regretting coming on a mission with her. She turned around so that she was't facing the guy anymore and murmured something just loud enough that he could hear her: "Tais-cul, s'il vous plait." She struggled to keep her eyes closed again, the guy's murmurs just barely sneaking into her ears through her headphones and the sound of the road, but eventually, she managed it. Alas, it would only be for a few minutes more. The snake boy would interject into her rest yet again: "One day I’ll be the best hero and I’ll take the mantle from Red Justice," Edmée slowly opened her eyes again, silently considering how hard it really could be to kick the guy's ass, she'd taken much bigger guys with relative ease, "whether he likes it or not.” She stared at the guy with weariness and confusion on her face for a few moments, and then rolled her eyes back to the seat in front of her. What a wanker, the woman thought to herself. With a sigh she decided that she didn't need anymore sleep and sat up in the chair. Popping her neck twice, she looked outside. She didn't recognize the surrounds. Actually, that was a lie, all the forests this far north all looked too much the same. Only then, after she had gotten comfortable, the bus came to a stop. With a sigh, Edmée stood up and stretched and followed the others to her way to the front of the bus.... The woman struggled to find a proper place to put the phone, she was surprised to see the snake boy just shove the cursed device into his pocket, further driving her belief that men's jeans were built in with some kind of extra-dimensional space. "Where in god's name do they expect us to put these damn things!" Exasperated, she finally managed to snuggly fit within the confines of her jacket pocket. After that her face would change, exasperation and tiredness were exchanged for a confident smile and determined eyes. "Alright, branleurs, the conductor already said that this was the only way in," the French woman declared as she made her way to the front of the group, " We're so close they'll already know we're here." Edmée placed her hands on her hips and looked back towards the guys behind her. "You don't think that the federation would keep this place trapped up do you?" Her question led her to looking back at the impressively large door. "Looks like most of the security's been taken down for us, though. What do the rest of you think? I say we could probably get away with waltzing right up to the front door." Translations |

In the past twenty four hours Logan had been through straight hell. For some reason the two quirks that he possessed had fused into one. The feeling of his whole digestive system changing drastically was the most painful thing the man had ever felt in his entire life. If he wasn't so stubborn he wouldn't even have shown up for this mission but he knew this was his responsibility. Thanks to the stupid mutation, Logan's hunger had somehow managed to get worse. He found that if he didn't constantly eat something then his body would start to fatigue like he hadn't eaten anything in weeks. It seemed that there was no limit to how much or what the man could consume and thanks to the constant feeling of starvation his mental state had suffered slightly. However there also seemed to be some benefits to whatever it is that had happened to him. His sense of smell had increased tenfold and he found that the things he ate gave his body incredible energy. Everything was still very new to him but the doctors that had examined him theorized that his body was always so hungry because it was digesting and metabolizing what he ate instantaneously. Due to eating so much one would think that Logan would need to use the bathroom a lot but his digestive system was so efficient that there was never any waste leftover. As a result, Logan didn't have to use the bathroom anymore. That was pretty cool but it kind of sucked that he couldn't use the bathroom as an excuse to get out of meetings anymore. Sitting on the bus, Logan looked out the window as he stuffed his face full of food. He had brought a lot with him in order to keep his energy up during the ride. After all, if he went without eating then his body lost it's energy. Logan could eat anything but he had brought food to keep himself from eating parts of the bus. Once they had set out on the mission he would eat whatever he could find in there and then that would probably be enough to complete the mission properly. The Governor General figured that this wouldn't be too hard to pull off. He was very confident in his abilities and he knew that Atticus could handle himself but what about his other teammates? If they were anything like the last squad that had been sent into the facility then things weren't looking too good. One of the squad members seemed to be some annoying kid while another was a French girl. Logan wasn't particularly fond of the French and he hated how naive kids could be. Yep, this was shaping up to be a terrible time. “This is stupid.” Oh great, the kid had only said one thing and already he was coming off as a jerk. The sin of gluttony rolled his eyes in annoyance as he munched away on some chips. "Hey, kid. You mind shutting up? I don't know what retard even hired someone as young as you in the first place." The only reason why Logan had even signed up for this assignment in the first place was to make sure that the next team that was sent in didn't fail like the last one. Being the Governor General of Canada meant that he had a lot of responsibilities but the man knew that eliminating this threat was more important than them. He had colleagues who could work in his absence and he didn't think that this would take particularly long. The bus would come to a stop and the driver opened the doors, explaining exactly what they were to do. Being in such a high ranking position, Logan already knew what the objective was but he stayed silent so that the others could get all the information. Getting up from his seat, Logan walked over to the exit and grabbed a phone on the way out, stashing it away in the bag that he had brought with him. It took everything in his power not to take a bite out of it but Logan restrained himself. The never ending feeling of starvation was maddening and it gave him the urge to eat everything in front of him. After exiting the bus, Logan would speak to the group. "Alright listen up, assholes." The sin of gluttony said in a booming voice. "I'm taking charge of this little group so that things go as smoothly as possible. We don't want another group going in and never coming back out, yeah? As for my credentials, I run this entire country which is more than enough experience to lead this little party." Feeling his stomach growl, Logan was tempted to take some of the food he had brought with him out of the bag and consume them all but he decided against it. He would be able to go a bit longer without feeling any fatigue so he was better off waiting until the last second before consuming any more food. Being forced to eat so much sure was a pain in the ass. "The vault doors are open so I say we should just enter through there. Do not split up unless absolutely necessary. As long as we work together properly then we should be fine. Is everything clear?" |

RING...RING...RING...RING "................." RING...RING...RING...RING "................." RING...RING...R "...W-what is it?" " Mr. Soul, I have been calling you non-stop. You asked me to wake you at this time, sir." "...Did I? Ok...a...y." "SIR!" "FINE! For fuck sakes... Thanks." This was earlier than Atticus was used to waking up, in fact, he was damn near nocturnal. However, he was smart to request to wake up at this time as he had something to do today. Some weeks back he was asked by the current governor, a real tight ass, to accompany him on a mission as he needed people that could actually handle themselves in a fight. While he had a very distinct play-boy attitude and rep, most tend to believe that Atticus couldn't handle himself. He would have expected Logan to think the same, but that didn't seem to be the case this time around. Nonetheless, he had an image to uphold in the public and this was a good way of doing that. So, after some struggling on his part, he got himself up and prepared himself for this mission. He wasn't exactly sure as to what he needed to wear for shit like this, but he had an idea. Sticking to the color theme of black, he dresses up in a black button-down dress shirt with rolled-up sleeves. A pair of black jeans was paired with the outfit along with some dark sneakers. He sent for a car to pick him up and would take it to where they were all supposed to meet up. Arriving rather late, he boarded the bus to give a look at the other prospects. There was Logan, a blonde boy, and a girl that looks as if she's seen better days. Making his way to the back, he brought out what looks to be a protein shake container and a bag of chips. He stuffs his face for most of the ride while on his phone for the majority of it all. Hell, he even fell asleep at some point of it all. Upon arrival, they were debriefed or whatever the hell you call it as he works his way into being able to register all that was being said. The mission was simple, though the fact that the last teams ended up missing left a bad taste in his mouth. Atticus had too much shit to do to let being kidnapped or killed get in his way. As he made his way out the bus, he picked up what look to have been... was it a phone? "What in the hell is this shit?" He questioned before turning his gaze to the others. There was some conflict between the blonde boy and the other two as Atticus didn't exactly care much to focus on what was being said. One of them did give a good question as to where in the hell were they going to put this shit at? He could tuck it by his jewels, but that would have been annoying to move around with. Breathing a sigh of annoyance, he would turn his attention over to Logan who opted to make himself leader and begin to bark orders. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, just give us the plan. We moving in or what? Splitting up, staying together? Let's get this shit taken care of right away." He spoke up as he didn't exactly care for Logan being in the lead, or at the very least, he didn't care to listen to it all. He wanted to get this over with. |

With the group exiting the bus, the plan was beginning to be set in motion. The crowd was fairly rowdy and hostile, mostly to one-another. It was a slight concern to their success rate, but it also showed that the people present were hard-headed. Following that, with Logan’s bold declaration the man would seek to take the reins of the operation and lead them onward, seemingly confident in controlling the others despite their bold stubbornness. It was a risky action to take with strangers due to the possibility of one of them flipping a switch and getting angry, but for all it was worth, some leadership was always useful. Nonetheless, the majority seemed to be in favour of heading towards the main vault door as well, unquestioning as to whether or not it was truly the only entrance. The information given by the busdriver was correct though, this tightly guarded reserve with no other doors or passages into the thick rocky mountain around it. The natural defense it possessed made it a desirable location, and was one of the reasons that, in terms of manpower and guard counts, there weren’t usually many guards. The federation that ran it had often felt confident that noone and nothing could break in. Clearly they were wrong. But even then, compared to now the place was a ghost town. Walking into the first room, the group wouldn’t see a single person, or even a sign that people were here at all. The large vault door outside was wide open, hanging out to the side motionlessly. There weren’t any marks of struggle or destruction either, as if it was just calmly unlocked and opened. That wasn’t as easy as it sounded though, since on further inspection, one would be able to see the dozens of complicated mechanisms which kept the door secure. Inside, the room right past the large vault door was much like the door itself; large. The floor and walls were concrete, chipped at the edges but otherwise clean of any marks or cracks. It was suspiciously fresh, as if it hadn't been taken over and cut off from communication a week ago. Looking closer at the contents of the room, it would appear to have been some sort of storage or shipping area. Large wooden boxes lined the right side of the room, stacked up on top of each-other to the ceiling - while 2 or 3 forklifts were spread out across the room. There were no keys to start them, but that wasn't what the group was here for anyways. In order to move on, there were 2 doors leading out of the room. One was on the far wall opposite to the vault door, already open with a hallway running down past it. Another was on the wall to their left, a faded sign next to it with only the letter ‘K’ remaining. OOC

Without waiting for a response from his allies, Logan set off on his own and entered the facility. He figured that his teammates would follow behind him once they realized that he was on the move. It was for the best if they got this job done as fast as possible so there was no use sitting around getting acquainted with one another. Logan would examine the mechanisms attached to the door and tilt his head in confusion. For some reason it looked like the vault had been opened normally. But how could criminals know how to properly open it? The sin of gluttony could only assume that the men who had entered this place either possessed some sort of special quirk that allowed them to open the door or there was a traitor that worked within the facility. "The way this door was opened....There doesn't seem to be any damage at all. Whoever did this really knew what they were doing." There didn't seem to be anybody in the first room which meant things would be a little easier. However Logan couldn't help but feel like this room was monitored somehow. If these guys came in and left the door open then surely they would be keeping tabs on whoever entered or exited, right? The Governor General looked around for any signs of cameras that could be used to monitor the team's arrival. If he had to guess the first team that entered were probably captured because the criminals knew they were coming and if that was true then it probably meant they already knew that Logan and the gang were already here. As he looked around for some video cameras, Logan would make his way over to the wooden boxes that were situated on the right side of the room. He was feeling mighty hungry and those boxes looked like the perfect thing to consume. Upon reaching them, Logan would bring his fist down, crushing through the wood and shoving the planks that broke off into his mouth. He threw them down his throat without a care in the world before finally wiping his chin and moving on. It was then that Logan spotted the two doors, one already open and with a faded sign above it. Naturally, Logan assumed that the open door had been left open by the criminals. Whether or not that was done on purpose was up for debate but the sin of gluttony figured that they'd probably find the culprits easier if they took the open door. Logan was unable to make out what the faded sign exactly said and as a result he didn't like the idea of going into it without knowing what was behind it. At least the open door revealed a hallway so unless some guy jumped out in front of them at the end of it then there would most likely be no surprises. "I assume that they've got this front room monitored so I think we should hurry up and go through this open door here." He said, pointing to the door that revealed the hallway. Logan moved to the doorway and stood in front of the frame, his back to his teammates as he looked down the hall. It didn't really look like it was anything but a regular hallway but if they really were being monitored then Logan wouldn't put it past the criminals to have a trap laid out for them at the end of the hall. Unfortunately for them, Logan was particularly resilient and he was confident that he would be able to properly deal with whatever they threw at him. Over the short amount of time that Logan had spent with his new quirk mutation, he had found that his body was capable of increasing it's physical attributes whenever he concentrated. He assumed that it was something to do with forcing his digestive system into overdrive and increasing the energy he gained from the things he consumed. Whatever the reason was, Logan found it pretty damn useful. Tensing up his body, Logan concentrated and activated his quirk. Whenever he did this, Logan was able to increase the durability of his body and it made his life so much easier. "Follow me, we're going down this hallway. If they've laid out a trap then I'll try to deal with it first so we all don't get injured. I'm fairly sure I can deal with it but if the worst case scenario happens then I'll need you guys to back me up." Logan would then slowly make his way down the hallway as he watched for an attack. He would sniff the air every now and then in order to try and detect any scents he didn't recognize. Logan had already familiarized himself with the scents of his teammates while they were on the bus so he hoped that he would be able to recognize somebody else if he got close enough to them. Edmée visibly tensed when she heard the hardass just ignore everything that she just said, made outrages claims, and demanded that the group fall in line behind him. She couldn't help but grit her teeth a little bit. It wasn't like I was wanting to lead or anything... If the politician born with a silver spoon wanted to be the first one in a line of fire he could be her guest; wasn't like she would have to see this guy's face again when all was said and done. If push came to shove, she could take solace in the fact that she'd taken down bigger guys with a few hits to the unsavory bits. The woman crossed her arms and fell in line as the group wondered towards the oversized vault doors. She, too, scanned the site for damage, but seemed unable to find any. Unfortunately her eyes were not used such machinery, the locking mechanisms looked like they were straight out of the cinema to her. Something about all this gave her an uneasy feeling. She widened her stance accordingly. "Don't think they could have come in with a shipment truck, do you?" Edmée questioned the politician, "probably a couple of saboteurs, too." The woman didn't feel like waiting for an answer as much as the guy she was asking didn't seem to care to give one. "Je pense qu'ils étai-" She had begun to mutter to herself, scouting out the room for what she could see when suddenly she was interrupted by a loud CRACK Turning on her heels, and raising her arms in front of her face, Edmée prepared for the worst and was met with.... the burly politician scarfing chipped pieces of wood like they had come out of a bag of crisps. She awkwardly lowered her guard at the sight before her. She looked to the snake kid and Atticus for some kind of closure for what she had just seen. Wiping his chin, it seemed that he didn't think that his own behavior was odd at all. At Logan's behest, Edmée would follow along quietly. |

The mission had already started off in a pretty wonky start. There were conflicting personalities among each of them which meant their success rate has dropped a good deal. Atticus didn't exactly care that much, he knew he would be fine no matter what. If push came to shove, he would leave every last one of them to suffer without shedding a tear. It was a dog eat world, after all. He was bless enough to have a quirk that was basically a trump card in itself, for him at least. He just had to after himself and everything should have been fine, besides, he was positive at least one of them was capable of handling themselves, the other two? He very much doubted this. With a clear end goal, he watches as everyone went off with Logan in the lead. Upon entering they found that the only thing that looks out of order was the vault. It was opened wide and there was still no sign of anyone else. It was an obvious trap, but neither of them had a way of actually figuring that out. The fact that it was the only path they could take meant that they had no other choice. "Yeah.. They knew what they were doing alright. It was more than likely an inside job. Any time you see shit like this, no damage, there is no way that is possible." Atticus spoke up in response to what Logan spoke of about the vault. "Hmm, shame neither of us has a quirk that has X-Ray vision, huh? In fact, our chances would be stronger if we made our own entrance to avoid getting caught up, but again... Whoever set up this mission wasn't looking for the right people, with the right quirks." Atticus spoke in a casual, but cocky tone that would annoy most. He obviously didn't care, it wasn't as if he was wrong, right? A hand adjusted against the wall as he looks inside the vault a bit before Logan suggested they entered inside following him. Atticus had no objections, he rather Logan took whatever was ahead of them than him. Positioning himself behind the French woman, he heard her speak some, but he didn't exactly care that much. While he understood French and could speak it if needed, he didn't really feel the need to do so right now. "Aight, let's go then." Summary |

Codi doesn’t like to take orders from anyone but this man seemed like he knew somewhat of what he’s doing. As they walked into the compound Codi began to spit on whatever he could so that they could remember where they came. “This place is a dump.” He said half joking and half seriously As Codi was looking around he found a couple of boxes that he wanted to rummage through as the “leader” of the group demanded the group to push further. “Dude you’re one more order from an ass kicking.” |

Moving into the vault, the group had mostly settled with Logan leading from the vanguard. There were some slight hostilities and dissent from this choice, but a fight had yet to sprout (so far). His observation surrounding the reserve's relatively pristine condition was an astute one, but not quite accurate. His acquaintance, Atticus, on the other hand was rather close to the truth. It seemed that, one the day of the takeover, the invading group had placed a man on the inside. In order to have unlocked such deeply guarded doors with not but a scratch was something not many could do; and to imagine that such a person would have been involved was unlikely. Inside the vault Logan opted to search for any cameras, seeking to find out if they were being monitored. Looking around, he would indeed find a handful of cameras up above. Yet, if he were to look closely, it would be clear that they were all off - cameras hung low and staring down at the ground. His actions following that weren't quite as valorous and concentrated; scarfing down a... wooden crate. It was empty, much like many of the crates which lacked any contents. One of the members seemed to become fed up with Logan's decisions, speaking out against him. Whether or not Logan would intend to respond, at the moment it seemed the mission at hand was of importance. The wood-eating man moved down the hallway, wary for any traps but resolved in his ability to take them on. He had focused his strength, increasing his durability in preparation for hits. But possibly to his surprise, or maybe his relief, nothing happened. No explosion went off, nor did any men jump out at him. Nothing. Well, nothing for him. For the other three who were following behind him, pandemonium would begin to strike. The ground suddenly began to crack in dozens of spots, all around the main vault room. The cracks spread, bulging up and bursting open as tentacles as thick as men sprouted from the ground. The dozens upon dozens of crates would get knocked over in this chaos, tumbling over and crashing down. For the four operatives further in - after the dust had settled - this would prove to be a blockade for their exit. Crushed and cracked wooden crates formed a wall in front of the exit, now guarded by large tentacles with unknown strength. In terms of a more immediate danger, 3 of the tentacles would sprout nearby Codi, Edmée and Atticus, about 5 meters in height. They seemed hostile, swaying side to side for a second before swiftly pulling back and shooting forwards. All 3 of the tentacles would strike out, each slamming down at a different member except for Logan who was further down the hall, distant from this sudden bizarre chaos. Tentacools OOC

As Logan made his way down the hall a comment from Codi made him stop in his tracks. Did he hear him right? This little shit was apparently going to kick his ass because he didn't like being given orders. Turning around, Logan looked the kid dead in the eyes with a confused expression on his face. "So let me get this straight......You say you're going to be the number one hero but then you go and threaten a world leader with bodily harm. Are your parents siblings? If you want to get ahead in life you need to follow the orders of your superiors. Now settle down and shut up for fucks sake." Jesus Christ this guy sure was a pain. Never in his life had Logan met somebody as naive as him. "Threatening a government official is illegal, buddy. You don't want that on your criminal record if you're trying to become a hero. Nobody will give you the time of day." With that out of the way, Logan slung his bag off of his back and reached into it, pulling out an extra large bag of potato chips. Not even bothering to open it, Logan shoved the whole thing in his mouth and swallowed it, bag and all. He knew he would need to eat while on this mission so he had brought a bag with snacks in them. After eating this bag of potato chips, he only had two snacks left. Once he ran out he would need to find another source of food. Fortunately for Logan, everything was food to him. At this time, Logan would witness large tentacles burst from the ground, attacking his teammates and blocking off their exit. The sin of gluttony wasn't entirely sure how the fuck somebody was able to create tentacles from seemingly nothing but he figured whoever it was must have an incredibly powerful quirk. That was the problem with powerful quirks. Everyone who had one always seemed to be a bad guy. Logan had initially braced his body to take on any attacks that might come his way but ironically enough the tentacles had lashed out at everyone except for him. Logan must have been too far down the hall for the them to reach him. It kind of sucked that things were turning out this way. Logan had assumed that whatever trap or attack they encountered would be from the front but he had not expected to be flanked in this way. When Logan had looked at the cameras he had noticed them to be powered off but for some reason they had still been attacked. This meant that they were either being monitored by something else other than cameras or the tentacles themselves didn't have minds of their own and were just triggered to sprout out once the group walked by. Being further down the hall, Logan was not really able to help out his teammates with the attacking tentacles. If he tried to intervene then he would most likely get in the way of everyone. Logan decided to wait and see how the group handled things. If one of them got injured he was ready to help them out but rushing in blindly was of no use at the moment. Besides, Atticus was pretty strong so he could probably handle all of these things on his own if need be. As for the other two, their abilities remained unknown however if they couldn't even handle these things then Logan didn't want them on the mission. The sin of gluttony moved back down the hall from where he came in order to get closer to his teammates. If they needed his help he would be right there. Summary Technique, lp, and stats

Codi chuckled as this old man Logan actually took the time to respond to his empty threats. Codi knew that he was in no position to give demands or threats he just wanted to annoy the guy and it seemed that Codi’s efforts were successful. “Lighten up dude, I’m just joking with you.” Codi said with a smirk and a wink. But before Codi could get closer to Logon and explain to him and the group that he was just joking around tentacles came shoot out of the floor. “HOLY SHIT!” Yelled Codi as he was taken aback. What the hell is this he thought. Codi knee there was a possibility that there would be some weird stuff going on but TENTACLES!?!? This is just crazy. Just as Codi was thinking of what was going on one of the tentacles came flying his way. Codi attempts to jump onto the tentacle and bite it with his venom hopefully giving it a nasty surprise. A pissing contest between a boy that probably has just now experienced what it felt like to touch yourself and a man that looks as if he hasn't released in half a decade. It was amusing, really, in a normal setting Atticus would sit and watch. However, this was not the place to do that and Atticus would rather not alert the fucking criminals of them being here. Though they probably already know at this point, which made them two going at it all the more stupid. "If you two are finished, can we move the fuck on. This is a mission, remember? You leading, right? So ignore the dumbass and lead." Atticus would speak to Logan at that point as he leaned closer to the governor. While he wasn't exactly fond of Logan leading, he did respect him, so he opted to try and calm him down instead of risking a battle starting between them all. Once things were calm, they would begin to move forward. The setting was eerie, there was no sign of a fight and there was a strong chance they were walking into an ambush. Atticus kept on his toes, but he would also make sure he is positioned to where he could be able to throw one of the others into the fray to free himself. It was a bit twisted, yes, but he didn't exactly give a damn. No, he only cared about making sure he was not caught up in anything that could cause him harm. He had an image, after all, his pretty face made the bucks and he didn't need that being ruined. Man, the life of a playboy was so stressful. As they were moving through the vault, the ground would begin to crack which gave off the sign that they were already found out at this point. Atticus would look around them to notice that something was beginning to sprout. "Vines? What the hell?" Eyes would narrow at that point as he looks for a location where the vines weren't around. Raising his arms, he had to defend himself from the hits that came, but it wasn't exactly easy. Noticing Logan was in the clear, he cursed under his breath before igniting his feet with black flames to propel him off the ground and send him forward to where Logan was located. The vines beneath him or that was n vicinity of his feet were at risk of being light ablaze at that point. Landing behind Logan, he looks down and saw that his shoes were slightly ruined. I need to get a special suit made for this shit. He thought to himself before turning to face Logan. "You sure sitting pretty, huh? Why the vines didn't attack you?" He asked with a slightly annoyed expression. Summary and Everything |

The air hung silent as Logan turned around at Codi's chide remark, as if his very movement carried a weight to it. Even if she thought that the claimed importance of his position was mere hyperbole, Edmée knew that threatening a politician could carry with it a significant punishment no matter where you went in the world. From the looks of it, the giant woodchuck of a man could indeed chuck wood right up the snake guy's ass. Except he didn't, rather, he returned with what would have been common sense to anyone else in the room, finishing it off by simply shoving an entire bag of crisps down his throat without a second thought, and going back on his merry way. Edmée actually found it a bit funnier this time, if anything. Heh, I think I like working with this guy, She thought to herself. A smirk formed on her face, revealing her unusually sharp and pointy teeth once more. Either the guy realized the weight of his statement, or he really was just joshing around, as he quickly backpedaled and declared that his line was merely a jest. Edmée began walking forward, not wanting Logan to gain too much of a lead on the group lest they got separated. Closing her eyes for a moment she lifted her chin just a bit. "Riiiiiiiight," her tone was mocking, as if she didn't believe Codi's claim. She opened her eyes and looked over her shoulder at the guy continuing: "You wouldn't even deserve such a compliment anyways," she stated sarcastically, moving her eyes back to front, "Charles the Second was the peak of the human form!" As if on cue, the ground beneath her began to rumble, for a moment, she thought that she had actually angered Codi to the point of retaliation. So he can deal but won't take. I'm fucked aren't I?. Turning around, she saw with both relief and another wave of stomach lurching that Codi was also caught off guard. The ground before them swelled for only a second, bursting into spattering of concrete and wood. Before she knew it, the dust had settled, and swaying before her a triad of undulating tentacles. A scowl formed on her face as her entire body became wrapped in a faint orange hue. She began to back off in a defensive step as it waved 'round and 'round. From the looks of it, the thing couldn't be more than five meters long. It would take her may be a few seconds to cover that distance if she remained defensive like this. If she turned and ran she could make it in a few strides. For a moment she took her complete focus off of the tentacle to watch as the snake-guy charged in and tried to take a bite right out of one of the tentacles. Idiot, those things don't look like they could move from their spot, he should've just ran! Whatever fleeting thoughts she had of going in and helping the guy quickly faded as the corner of her vision caught a change in motion in one of the other tentacles. Seeming to whip backwards just a bit, the thing tried to slam down on her. Edmée would attempt to sidestep a bit out of the way. If she managed to do so, she would use her momentum to axe-kick however much of the damned flagellates she could! Summary Techniques and LP
