Taller than You

Mairu's days on the island since the big incident had been comparatively uneventful since the meeting with the other members of Adrestia. He'd spent the majority of his time resizing the once colossal cloak meant for Shiori, lazing about his room and in general exploring the island and its many crevices and hiding spots. There was still a great deal of things the boy didn't know about the tiny nation, so he figured some time around the locals would have helped... it did not. They were friendly people sure, but didn't seem to be privy to a lot of information or were very closed off about it. It also didn't help the boy's mood that he'd been getting some stomach pains as of late, and he was not going to see a doctor about it. The tyke's skin crawled just thinking about the pointy objects that would need to be plunged into his skin.

What did improve the boy's mood, however, was Mercutio's project for him. The man wanted a better teleportation system for his house, something already surprising in technological scope to the fox, so that it could go wherever he had been. He'd handed the small child a tracking beacon which he'd nabbed up with great excitement, learning the device's ins and outs as he walked back to the mansion, soaking in tons upon tons of data.

The child was quick to begin work, dashing up to his room to fetch the necessary tools, the boy huddled the mass of hammers, nails, computer chips and screwdrivers back downstairs to the living area, throwing on the TV as he got to work, the noise in the background making some good focus to the boy, not even paying attention to what he'd turned on.

The small, hand-held piece of metal was fairly intricate, Mairu screwing it open and getting to work, the objective fairly simple, he supposed. He'd need to tweak the device to trace Mercutio's rare energy signature, while logging that information for later use. First thing first would be adding a few extra components for the necessary data storage...

"Aw nuts... this is gonna be a bit tricky..."

Things on the island had slowed down quite a bit from the battle. This was both a good thing and a bad thing for Artemis. The quiet coupled with the constant heat of this 'cheery paradise' had caused some lethargy to settle in. Getting up and out of bed to be productive during the day was difficult and quite often one could find the dark creature lounging somewhere in the island, dozing in the sun. Her nightmares still plagued her but they weren't as constant as before. Whenever her friends came to talk to her though Artie always perked up. Her favourite was when she spent time with Mairu, both talking and teaching.

The good side however brought with it productive nights of training and endless hours of tinkering. Nothing could get in the way of what the little dragon wanted to do. Her flight training continued with a mix of Artemis climbing up the tallest building that she could and then leaping off of it and Gjoll gently tossing her into the air. Whenever the orphan was not training or being lazy she'd be scurrying around, getting materials and building random objects. A lot of them were simple, mainly created so that Artie could build her foundation of knowledge.

However today none of those things seemed appealing to Artie. She didn't want to laze about. Nor did she want to train or try to come up with an idea for something to make. The orphan heaved a big sigh as she lay on her bed, pondering what to do for the day. 'I suppose I could bother Mairu. He should have a good idea of what to do today!' Artemis finally decided. She perked up and jumped off the bed, a half-hearted flap disrupting her otherwise smooth glide to the floor.

It didn't take long for the tiny creature to find her way to where her foxy friend lived, as she'd been there before. Artemis padded there with purpose. Head up, arctic eyes alert, wings tucked in snuggled over her harness, and tail drifting in the air behind her. While Mairu knew enough sign language that communication was easy, the little dragon had made sure to bring plenty of paper and a handful on pens just in case she ran into someone less versed in USL.

Before the little dragon had to turn off to head towards the foxes room, however, she heard the buzz of the TV playing. Curious, she headed towards that directed and poked her black nose into the living room. A peep of happiness escaped her mouth as she realized that the reason why the device was on was because Mairu was there. And, best of all, he already had a project to work on. Artemis bounded over to her friend and skidded to a stop. She raised herself on her haunches to sign "Do you need help?" The orphan tilted her head, curious eyes darting from her friend to what he was fiddling with.

Sweet Baby Lemon Hands, the wizard, is here to the rescue!
A few days had passed by with little to no conversation on her end, though she still needed to find Hiko should she of wanted to get some real progress done. It was also a surprise that Sonomi had been up so early. The crack of dawn type early that a rooster would start cooing at if they had one nearby that is. “What time is i-....” She groggily said before looking over at the sun that barely shown itself and grumbled. The girl wasn’t doing a job in keeping the noise down unfortunately as two little companions had began to awake themselves up from their own slumber.

S-Sonomi sis?
Uwwwahhh! Sisnomi!

Despite the young lady’s distaste for sudden noises so early in the morning, she smiled towards the little kids before sitting up and smiling at them. “Ah, morning Joseph and Maria - I’m assuming you two don’t wanna head back to sleep huh?” She stated before seeing them both shake their head in unison. With a huff did she slowly prop herself off of the bed and stretch a few times to try and ‘wake’ her body. “We’re hungry! Can sis cook for us again- Oooh, maybe cookies!?” The oldest, the boy, said ecstatically before the girl next to him nodding shyly in agreement. “How many times have I told you two that cookies aren’t for breakfas-” She stopped before sucking in a bit of air and shaking her head shortly after, “Fine, come with me you two BUT be VERY quiet okay? People are still sleeping right now.” She finished before putting a finger up to her mouth to show them to be quiet. With a few more nods did the trio skitter out of Sonomi’s room and towards the kitchen to start cooking for what -Sonomi- seemed to think lasted for hours on end due to her continuously messing up on the damn cookies.

It was later in the day, some odd hours after breakfast that Sonomi and her two little siblings wandered about the island. More importantly, Sonomi was tasked with holding the batch of cookies that she spent making - a request from the youngest, the girl, in case ‘someone’ else on the island was hungry as well. “Maria… I-I don’t think anyone else is going to want to eat these dear.” Sonomi tried to say kindly before being scolded by both of the twins. She wasn’t confident in her cooking skills, despite the two loving how well they turned out. “They are nummy! Everyone should get a bite of Sisnomi’s food!” The oldest declared before looking around with his hand over his eyes to shield the harsh sun from blinding them. “Like there!” He said before holding his younger sister and running towards what appeared to be a mansion far out in the distance.

Oi oi! DON’T RUN IN YOUR PJS - YOU’RE GOING TO FALL!” Sonomi hollered as she shuffled shortly behind them in her casual wear and kitten slippers. Honestly, they looked like the funky brigade with how lazy they were all dressed despite it being bright and sunny outside. The little girl clung tightly to her stuffed plushie as her brother dragged her along and it was some time later that they all arrived in front of it. “Come on you two!” Sonomi began to whisper as she tried to used the edge of the plate to push her glasses up towards her nose before they fell off, “We don’t even know who lives here!” She continued to whisper before the young ones began knocking on the door.

After a few short moments, Sonomi sighed before readjusting her arms to slowly open the door to the mansion - more than surprised that it was... unlocked? It didn’t stop the two young ones from waddling in, their eyes lighting up from how beautiful everything looked on the inside as they warned Sonomi to follow them along. “Maria, Joseph!” Sonomi continued to whisper till her eyes landed on the two people other than the kids who were in the living area. “...wait. Ruru-chan?” Sonomi began as her voice returned to its normal volume, her kitten slips quietly shuffling about the floor till she walked up to both the little dragon and fox who seemed to be preoccupied with something at the moment.

This didn’t go unnoticed by the two kids either as the gather around just behind Sonomi to shyly wave at the two new faces for them. “W-Were sorry!” They began before pouting and covering their eyes with their over sized PJ sleeves. The girl held her stuffed plushie close to her side while the other held his book on the other, and as they waited a few more moments did they speak again. “Sisnomi made some nummy cookies if you want some!” The boy began before the girl nodded shyly once more and smile.

Sonomi, blushing at the sudden situation, used her free hand to cough before adjusting herself to properly hold the tray of cookies. “Y-yeah, uhm. Hello, sorry for the sudden and otherwise rude intrusion but I’ve brought some food here.” She began before noticing that perhaps placing them on the table Mairu was working on was maybe a bad idea. “I’ll just place these nearby on the counter, if you’d like one - feel free or I can get them for you with a napkin.” She continued before shuffling some ways over and back to the two who’d been tinkering with what appeared to be gadgets.

She didn’t get a chance to catch the dragon using sign language unfortunately as the trio arrived in late, but she still smiled before looking over at the younger two. “Come on you two, we should probably head b-” She was interrupted as they shook their heads and plopped themselves on the couch just in front of the television that had bright lights and flashing colors. “We want to watch TV.” The younger girl demanded before adjusting her stuffed plushie and PJs. “We won’t cause any trouble, pinky swear!” The boy added before Sonomi ended up looking back at the OTHER young ones and huffing to herself.

I-I’m sorry but it seems I might be here for a bit if you two don’t mind - though feel free to call on me should you wish to talk or need my services.” She bowed slightly before looking down near the little dragon to see the paper and utensils they had on standby. Sonomi couldn’t quite remember if she was the one who had been signing during the war just recently, but she was sure to keep it in mind before grabbing a chair from the kitchen and placing it out of the way but still in between the two parties that had now formed since being in the mansion.

Several weeks had passed since Vitalities full on invasion of their home. Gjöll had spent most of his time aiding with various reconstruction efforts, while also trying to rest let his injuries recover. He had been very successful on that front, as none of them required bandages any more. The small knife wound to his leg had healed completely at this point, the only indication it had been hurt at all being a small scar that remained. The damage done his chest and back by Huntress’s claws was nearly finished healing as well, leaving him with new, much large scars than the ones that Kull had given him. His left arm was the only thing that had any real healing left to do, which made sense given the state it had been in. A multitude scars left by smaller wounds as well as a few larger wounds still being aided by sutures could be seen. It would still likely be another week before he could get them removed.

Mercutio had left on some kind of important business earlier that morning, leaving behind instructions for Gjöll to watch over and assist Mairu with some kind of upgrade to the teleporter. You would never expect someone as young as Mairu to be entrusted with such an advanced piece of technology, the young fox had such a strange gift with technology there was no doubt he was the right choice for the job. Even though he had a habit of occasionally awkward questions, the scruffy Adrestian general enjoyed spending time with the curious young fox boy. He had an air of innocence about him that was refreshing in the wake of such destructive events.

Though the memories of his own past were nothing but a blurry haze that he tried to avoid, being around Mairu tended to give Gjöll the same feeling he felt when recalling the faded but happy memories he had of the younger brother he had left behind. Now that he had managed to control the monster inside of himself, Gjöll occasionally contemplated trying to get his memory fixed so he would be able to recall his old family again. Ultimately, he knew that was for the best that they remain lost to him, more emotional pain for all involved would be the only outcome for this novel idea. Besides, he had Adrestia now, and they were all the family he needed.

As Gjöll walked toward the mansion that Mairu had chosen to take up residence in, an odd realization struck him. Even though it had been quite some time since the mansion had been moved to Elysium he still hadn’t been inside. Finding the door unlocked, he would walk inside and look around the main living room. Not only would he find Mairu, tinkering away at his project, but also his young dragon friend Artemis along with Sonomi and her two young wards. “Hey Mairu, heard about the project Merc gave you and wanted to come and see if you needed any help.” He called to the kitsune upon his entry, before greeting the tiny dragon. “Artemis! How goes your flying practice? It’s been a while since I’ve been able to help.

As he turned to greet Sonomi as well, he couldn’t help but notice the TV that the twins seemed to be glued to, and the familiar scenes of One Piece that were playing on it. Aside from the cord that gave it power, nothing else appeared to be plugged into rather ordinary looking television, and it wasn’t like there were any local channels on Elysium. Somehow, with no input Mercutio’s favorite just happened to be on. After everything he had seen the Crimson King do, he still found himself occasionally surprised by the man’s eccentric antics. “Sonomi, how have you been managing? I see these two have gotten quite a lot bigger since the last time I saw them.” He noted before asking, “You heard anything from Satoshi, he healing well?

Fell God of Waffles
It had been a few weeks since the war with Vitality. Most of Eizen's time had been spent with continuing to get better with his quirk, and helping anyone who needed his help for some reason or another, but for the past little while, he'd been mostly left to his own business... which was just fine and dandy, because between dealing with the arrogant voice in his head and trying to train his quirk, he'd been having some issues of his own. On one night, he'd woken up from a nightmare filled with faces he didn't recognize and shadows he didn't know, and in a fit of terror had destroyed his pillow, the bed he'd been sleeping on, and the floor under that, taking 'falling off the bed' to a new extreme as he fell through the bed, as well as the floor, and landed on the floor below his room. The damage fixed itself after a while, but it was still annoying. The other problem had been when he'd been getting dressed one morning and had accidentally activated his quirk, with the doorknob becoming stuck to his hand. He'd been so confused, and while it had eventually worn off, it had still been strange.

Of course, at another point, he'd been happily reading a book he'd found, an old and weathered book about some child genius wanting stealing from mythical creatures, when he'd sneezed and destroyed the whole thing. He'd been... fairly calm about the endeavor, knowing that it being destroyed meant it would come back in a much more legible state, though when the book took form again, looking almost brand new, Eizen had been wholly unprepared for the massive headache that followed it... or the flow of information that came with it. The headache itself lasted a good hour or so, but when it finally left, Eizen could recall the book with near perfect clarity, from start to finish... and he hadn't even been halfway through the book yet!

Today, there had been no issues so far. He hadn't fallen through his bed, he hadn't accidentally attached the doorknob to his hand, and he hadn't given himself a larger then life headache because he'd essentially absorbed the contents of an entire book. Today, he'd been able to simply get dressed, in a pair of lounger and a simple white t-shirt he'd found, as well as a pair of simple white socks. It was wierd that, in the time since the invasion had happened, he'd grown such a large amount, and when he'd thought about it and what could have caused it, Overhaul had chimed in saying it was a 'form suited to a God'. Eizen had handily ignored that remark, even if he was correct. Regardless of his new height, he'd found another book he was looking forward to reading... and actually read, this time, unlike the last book. Having grabbed a book, Eizen would head down to the living area to sit down, relax, and just-

Eizen stopped as he entered the living area, taking note of all the people currently residing within it. He could identify the older boy who he had helped recover from the war, Gjoll, as well as the younger one, Mairu, and his small friend Artemis. Sitting in front of the television were two small children that looked eerily similar watching some sort of cartoon that Eizen couldn't make heads or tails of. The final occupant of the room was the white haired girl, the one Eizen had seen during the war, and before that, when he'd been going in and out of consciousness on a couch. The one Mercutio had said, back then, to 'erase his quirk' or something.

Dandy.

"Uhhh... Hello?" Eizen stood in the doorway with his book in hand, looking between everyone with a confused stare and a raised eyebrow. While seeing some people around the mansion wasn't uncommon, this had been the first time in a while that Eizen had seen this many people in one place... let alone people seemingly doing something, as he took a look at Mairu. They were welcome as far as Eizen was concerned, but it was still just... odd.

The machine had been tougher to take apart than expected, screws in a shape the boy wasn't expecting and a lot of the hardware in and of itself looked outdated. The boy was fortunate to have locked down Mercutio's energy trace, but it was still going to be a physically difficult job, the tyke much preferring work on the grandest of scales like ships and planes over minor doodads and gadgets. Still, a challenge would not hold the boy back from his sheer demand to push through and finish what he'd started for Mercutio, but also because he wasn't going to let himself be beat by a tracker no bigger than his hand!

With renewed focus and effort, Mairu continued his work on the gadget, his brow furrowing and his concentration at its peak as he picked away at the small creation. After a few minutes of hard work, Mairu let go of a breath he didn't know he'd been holding. Now before the boy laid the separated pieces of the high-end technology... well, half of them, mostly finding he'd removed a casing. Inside of it there were three microchips, far smaller than the boy had anticipated, as well as a strange lock over the power supply. Brows furrowing once more, the tyke placed his hand to his chin, thinking on how to tackle the next step.

A familiar peep quickly caught Mairu's attention, the boy turning his head to see Artemis approaching with a bound, standing straight as she signed to him if he needed any help. In return, the boy smiled down at her, unaware of a small blush on his cheeks, as he signed in returned, "Uh-huh! It just came up actually! I need to change out those three microchips with mine, and my fingers are too big! Haha! Think you could switch 'em out?"

The dragon's lessons had paid off a great deal in the passed while, the tyke almost fluent in sign language thanks to her. Not to mention her company in general was always a plus, Mairu always getting a strange giddy feeling when she was around. At this particular moment though, he just figured she'd be a great help for the task at hand.

Another familiar voice graced the boy's ears, realizing who it was right away from the nickname she chose to use, calling out, "Hi Sonomi!" before he'd even fully turned around, finding that the girl wasn't actually alone. Along with her had come a boy and a girl, the fox struggling to guess their age but putting them somewhere younger than him. The trio were all in PJ's appropriate for an early morning he guessed. The fox kept his fanged smile though, a bevy of tails waving behind him as he himself waved off the apology and declared, "No worries! And heck yeah I want some... some..." The boy paused, sniffing the air, his smile growing a bit dampened as he scratched the back of his head a bit sadly and stated, "They smell great, but I can't have chocolate, sorry. But if you make any peanut butter, butterscotch or mint I'll scarf 'em all down for ya!"

The trio of them got several giggles from the small boy, the pair of twins seeming a handful as the teen struggled to keep them in one spot. She was up and about the room with them, making and retracting all sorts of claims, the boy not able to hold back any laughter as he watched her go. Mairu of course welcomed them to watch the TV, he certainly paid it no mind, before waving over Sonomi before she could walk off. "Nuh-uh, you gotta come sit too! Not fair everyone else gets to have fun! I wanna make a big mini-party now!"

The boy's demand and big grin were a bit more childish than usual, but it seemed to get Sonomi to follow the kids' orders, so why not his as well? He was nothing if not incorrigible...

Noticing Sonomi looking down in confusion, Mairu quickly piped in, "Oh! And this is my bestest friend and coolest dragon in the world, Artemis!"

Mairu didn't get to add much to the introductions before another friendly face appeared in the form of Gjoll, the boy's idea of a big mini-party in the hours of the a.m. slowly coming to fruition it seemed as the tyke returned his greetings with a wave, declaring, "You heard right, Big Brother Gjoll! Dunno if I found something you can help with just yet, but you should come hang out with us! Sonomi made cookies, I can't have 'em though cause of the chocolate, so you can have mine!" The tall, bestial teen was yet another person who seemed to have the ability to brighten the tyke's day, though he didn't give off quite the same feeling as Artemis. Instead, it was sort of a safety and understanding he got from the sometimes feral boy, a sort of kinship with their quirks as well as simply going further back that a few of the other islanders. Gjoll also seemed to have a knack for not looking down on the boy, but still treating him with favoritism, if the class they'd taught together was anything to go by.

Eager to get back to work, Mairu was halted, it seeming there was another interested party in the form of Eizen. At first, the boy's greeting was fairly normal, a small wave as he was about to explain what they were working on when an idea came to him. Waiting for Artemis to finish up with the chip switch out, Mairu picked up the tracking device, stood up and rushed over to Eizen, remembering his powers as he quickly declared, "Eizen! Quick, can you make this cover for the power supply bend outta the way! I need... to... Woah!" Realizing he was in fact gazing up at the boy who'd been below his own eyesight but a short time prior, the boy's eyes twinkled and his tails sputtered about as he questioned, "How'd you get so tall?! I wanna go next..."

For a short moment, the child's excitement seemed to wane, his gaping smile fading to a smaller grin as some sweat formed on his brow. He seemed almost a shade paler as he felt a flash of weakness in his legs and a growing nauseous feeling in his stomach. Mairu hid it, however, the feeling passing slowly and the blonde compensating with a tug of the now taller boy's arm and declaring, "Co-come on! We're having a big mini-party!"

It may have overcompensated for his flash of sickness, but the boy refused to dwell on the thought. He was not sick. Sick meant bed, and being stuffy and staying inside when it was nice out and no beach and just bad. He was not sick.

He was just fine...

When her friend asked for help the little dragon couldn't be more chuffed. Artie puffed out her chest as she settled herself down beside Mairu. She peered at the object to see what needed to be removed, arctic eyes focused on the task at hand. Being so small sometimes had it's advantages, much like in this situation. Artemis deftly plucked the microchips that needed to be removed from the object with the tips of her claws. She placed them carefully to the side, not wanting any parts to go missing.

While the little dragon didn't mind fiddly work, it took a fair bit of concentration to get it done. As such as missed when Sonomi wandered in with the Pika twins. By the time she was finished the small job it seemed clear that the lot would stay. Artemis huffed a bit, slightly annoyed, and also slightly amused. The two children seemed to boss their guardian into letting them stay and watching TV, which was the root of the orphan's amusement. 'Smart kids' she couldn't help but think, feeling no remorse for poor Sonomi.

The introduction that Mairu gave made Artemis feel happy. She'd never been someone's "bestest friend in the world" before and couldn't help but take it as a serious, but joyous, responsibility. The creature rose up on her haunches and signed "Hello" at Sonomi and the two twins, even though she doubted that the younger two would drag their eyes off of the TV to see. The little dragon then turned back to the older woman to answer the questions of the cookies. "I'd love to have one, thank you" she signed, only to pause at the end and remember that most people didn't know USL. Artie quickly whipped out a piece of paper and pen from her harness and wrote down what she had signed to hand to Sonomi.

Next to arrive was Gjoll, much to the two gadgeteer's delight. Knowing for a fact that the man wasn't very good at sign language and already having a pen out, Artemis quickly wrote her reply to his question. "It's going good! I think I will be able to fly soon." The little dragon seemed rather pleased with herself at this declaration. She knew that she had gotten stronger and faster. It was now only a matter of time until she'd be able to lift off of the ground.

Last to arrive was Eizen, who seemed to be a bit confused or surprised as to why so many people were gathering in the lounge. Artie waved at the other, also happy to see him, but not quite as much as Mairu or Gjoll. She didn't notice the change in height though, unlike her foxy friend. Everyone was a giant to the little orphan, so she never really took note of how tall someone was past a certain point.

Sweet Baby Lemon Hands, the wizard, is here to the rescue!
Sonomi perked up when the younger fox had greeted her, a nod being graced towards his direction before she arched an eyebrow to further hear what he had to say. Her smile was slowly fading and with the inclination of ‘no chocolate’, Sonomi’s mind began to think to herself in terms of how to fix this situation. The white haired girl didn’t think it was entirely fair for the fox to skip out on what everyone else would enjoy, even disregarding the fact that she’d been so anxious about other people consuming her creation. “Hah hah.. Yeah I-I’m sorry about that Ruru-chan.” Sonomi was quick to comment while giving a hearty chuckle, but despite the facade she was still doing her best to figure out how to alleviate the problem at hand.

Don’t worry Ruru-chan, I’m not leaving if you guys are okay with me being here. I actually missed hanging out with you guys.” Sonomi commented before looking over at Artemis and their little hands signing. They simply were thanking her for the cookie that was pretty big to their size and a ‘hello’ towards the white haired girl. So they do… Sonomi thought as she simply waited for Artemis to grab the paper and pen to write, awaited for the little dragon to turn around, and before long Sonomi’s own hands slowly rose up. Sonomi was quick to assume that the little dragon took her for most people on the island, well, hopefully this struck some brownie points on her end. “So you were the one who signed. Enjoy the cookie.” She dropped her hands from signing before smiling and rubbing the back of her head with a hand of hers. It seemed those years of signing actually paid off. She thought once more to herself as she curiously glanced over towards the cough to see the twins calmly watching one of the anime’s Mercutio always talks about.

Gjöll was quick to enter into the fray that littered about the room within the mansion, and with a quick glance at the other two in the room - it just seemed like the atmosphere changed to something more joyous and positive. “Ah, welcome Gjöll. I’ve been well…” She stopped for a moment as she pursed her lips, her thoughts clouding her judgement for a second before she pushed herself off the chair. “I’ve been managing just fine for what little people know of me, thank you for asking.” She said before smiling once more and looking back at the twins upon Gjöll’s comment, “They’re both eight now but yet they still act like little toddlers at times.” She added before continuing with the question involving Satoshi. “My brother is healing fine, it seems his confidence might be hit a little bit - but hopefully he takes it and spins it off to be something positive. He cares too much on being cool.” She added the last statement bluntly before walking towards the kitchen.

She wanted to leave the area for a moment, her eyes softening as she felt almost a bit uncomfortable but not at anyone there - but herself. It just appeared to her that everyone got along so well and yet, since she locked herself away in her room for those months, it’d made it to where she didn’t have that same light with everyone like she’d want to. What was more unfortunate was she thought she was to be the least liked general out of them all due to how much she isolated herself. It left the young woman to heave out a soft sigh towards herself as she wasn’t going to let anyone know that right now. Time would reveal itself and she’ll open up how she feels when the situation was more appropriate - not when Mairu, Gjöll, and their friends were all having a good time and smiling.

Pushing the thought out of her mind it took her a moment to even figure out where it was since it was her first time being here, but with a quick search did she find that of a small spoon and some napkins. The kitchen seemed to literally be close the the living room, within talking distance to be exact so it must’ve mean that at some point Sonomi was just standing in there thinking to herself. She placed the materials carefully next to the cookies before walking back into the living room to grab the chair she’d been using to sit on. “Oh...hello there.” Sonomi was quick to comment on the appearance of a boy she’d seen back at the Dark Continent. She recalled Mercutio instructing to watch him, but not much was exchanged after that as she bowed lightly and calmly walked back to the kitchen.

It was a blessing that the kitchen and the living room were mighty close to each other as Sonomi placed herself to face everyone with the counter she sat the cookies on in front of herself. She’d use a napkin to lightly grab at one of the cookies before placing it down next to the plate (using the previous aforementioned napkin as a makeshift plate of its own), and from there did she begin to ‘dissect’ the cookie. “If you’re wondering..” She began as she took the small spoon to try and get some of the chocolate bits out, “I learned USL back at home, back in Tatooin where my family lived. We had a personal library that I used to study in to myself all the time, back when my mansion was still a thing.” The girl continued while leaning closer to the cookie and flipping it on its back to see if any chocolate chunks were hidden. “I used to be like the Taylors, until I came here - now the money I have saved up in my room is the last bit I have to my name since they think I’ve been kidnapped.” She said humorously, never leaving her eyes on the cookie before her before she frowned at the final creation.

There laid to be bit and pieces of cookie nibbles that she had to do in order to get rid of the chocolate. It shouldn’t of even been called a cookie anymore before there was a moment where Sonomi furrowed her eyebrows to lightly grab at the napkin CAREFULLY. She took her time, allowing those who could see her transition back into the living room see it as she shuffled in her kitten slips back to Mairu’s table. “Ruru-chan, I’m sorry you can’t have chocolate but I tried to clean it as best as I could for you - even if it might taste bad since I’m not that great at cooking.” She said quietly before placing it down next to him, “I didn’t want you to miss out regardless, I just wish it didn’t have to look so….” She glanced back at the cookie before pouting, “crushed.

With a soft head rub of Mairu’s fur did she go back to the kitchen to collect her chair and position herself once more between both parties. “Despite that, enjoy should you want to taste it. It’s fine either way.” Sonomi raised her hands up to quickly sign towards Artemis as well, “You as well.” With that, she looked over at the other two boys to wave them over and nod - “I assume you’re watching them as well Gjöll?” Was a question she quietly said to him before chuckling towards herself.

Sounds good Mairu. Hanging out for a bit should be a great time. ” Gjöll replied, grinning when the fox boy referred to him as Big Brother. Only Mairu and Fran commonly referred to him as such and it was still something he was getting used to. Despite being one of the older members of Adrestia as well as one of the physically largest, he was still youngest of the four generals. Given the dangerous nature of his quirk he had never imagined he he would have others that looked up to him. It was a feeling that he quite enjoyed and yet another reason he found it so enjoyable to be around the young Kitsune. “Let me know if you think of anything you need help with alright?” he added before letting the excitable boy return to his project.

Next he turned to read to the small dragon’s response, which she had kindly written down, remembering that he had almost no ability to read sign language. “Can’t wait to see it! All the training you’ve been doing going to be worth it in the end!” he responded, obviously excited for his small feathery friend. She had been working so hard over the last year just for this purpose. It was an awful lot of dedication to put into a single goal, especially for one so young.

That’s good to hear…’ Gjöll thought to himself upon hearing Sonomi’s initial response. He would move towards the chair she had been sitting in, continuing to listen as she spoke. He had been worried that she would slip back into her bad habit after. She had spent so much of the time since Africa locked away in her room, it was nice to see her out and about. “Well maybe if you didn’t let them get away with it.” he obviously joked at her comment about the twins acting like toddlers. “As long as he heals physically, there will be plenty of time for him to work on his image.” He couldn’t help but listen as the young woman suddenly shuffled away into the next room, his ears catching what he could swear was a small sigh. Maybe things weren’t quite as well off as they had appeared. As their guardian had left the room for the moment, he would shift his attention to the twins, making sure they weren’t getting into any trouble. Fortunately, it appeared they both were fully engrossed in the tv, as neither one even let out a peep.

At this point another party would announce they arrival to what was turning into a big mini-party, as Mairu called it. Turning to look at the new arrival, he would see Eizen. The young blonde haired boy who just seemed to keep creating more questions for Gjöll. This time was no different of course, as in the last few week he had seemed to go through quite the growth spurt. He remembered specifically having to look near straight down when he talked to the boy during the battle, and now there was less than a foot in height difference between them. This was just the most recent in a list of strange things with Eizen. First was Mercutio’s sudden interest in him, followed by the insane ability he had shown on the Dark Continent. During the battle with Vitality he had shown a new healing ability, and then there was also the strange order the boy had given to no one in particular while he was helping heal Gjöll. The bestial Adrestian wanted ask him about that last thing in particular, but with so many people around it was likely not the best time. “How goes it Eizen?” He casually greeted the young blonde.”I never got the chance to thank you again for helping me out back during the attack. Without that, I know my are would be in far worse shape instead of almost fully healed!” He wanted to have a bit more discussion with the mysterious little orphan, but before he could Mairu would jump in and ask for the boy’s help on the teleporter. Given the significance, Mairu’s project had a bit more priority over small talk at the moment.

Sonomi would return, notice the and newcomer before grabbing her chair and proceeding to begin dissecting a few cookies. Gjöll took note as she mentioned USL “Maybe you could help me learn to sign as well? It would be nice to not have to force Artemis to writing everything down when we try to communicate.” he mentioned. It certainly was a nice thought. Most likely it would take a little while, but it would be worth it. Besides, you never know when learning another language could come in handy. As she finished up her strategic demolition of what was once a few cookies, Sonomi revealed that she had done so to make sure Mairu could have some, which of course elicited another smile from Gjöll.

Of course...I’m always watching over our family, especially the younger ones, even if they don’t realize it.” He quietly responded to the white haired young woman before adding. “Speaking of which, you seemed to have something on your mind when you left the room earlier. Anything you want to talk about?

Rather then receive a greeting from anyone, Eizen was immediately beset upon by Mairu, who was now relativley shorter then him, handing him some sort of... thing, and asking him to make a cover for a power supply bend out of the way. He'd been about to tell him what he was going to do with it, but before he could, he instead became side tracked and asked how Eizen had gotten taller then him. Tucking his book into one of his back pockets to take the device from the younger boy, the blonde user of Overhaul didn't really have an answer for the kitsune beyond a sheepish smile as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck with one hand. Before he looked over the thing he'd been given, he'd see a tiny creature of feathers that he'd identify as Artemis waving to him, and would offer the small dragon a small wave back before turning his attention to the thing he'd been handed. He'd register Gjoll's question to him, as well as the white haired girl giving him a bow and a greeting, as he looked it over in his hand, flipping it to get a better view at it as he wondered what it's purpose might have been.

"I've been... okay, I guess? Just been trying to understand some... well... things..." Eizen would speak to Gjoll as he continued to observe the device in his hand. Once he felt he had seen enough, he'd do as Mairu had asked him to, and would place his hand on the area that the boy had spoken of. Taking a small breath before activating his quirk, Eizen would pull back his hand, willing the material to follow. It would open in such a way that it was similar to harshly pulling back the lid of a can opener, the material not meant to be moved in such a way and yet retaining such a shape. With the kitsune's request out of the way, Eizen would hand the device back to Mairu before turning his attention to Gjoll again. "It's good to hear that I was able to help you recover. Would have hated to see you lose an arm, though it's not like it'd be the end of the world. I could easily just make you a new one, after all. If it bothers you, either with pain or just from being uncomfortable, let me know, and I'll see what I can do... Now, excuse me?" After Eizen had spoken to Gjoll, he'd turn his attention to the white haired woman that had re-entered the room, offering cookies to Mairu. Eizen would keep a leveled stare at the woman, though it was unclear if it was one of suspicion, contempt, or a little bit of both.

"I remember seeing you... way back before the Dark Continent thing. Mercutio had knocked me out, and I think I was on a couch, but I know you were there... But I don't know who you are still. Only that you can apparently erase quirks?" Eizen would keep a wary eye on the white-haired girl, though not an unfriendly one.

Taller than You
As always, Artemis seemed to be raring to go when it came to any sort of project, probably particularly pleased about this being a job better suited to someone of her stature. The small dragon always made for great company, holding an excitement for machines like the tyke himself while also being ready to have some fun and games at the drop of a hat, the boy meaning it when he declared her his bestest friend. Be it building something, teaching sign language or just lazing around the house, the tiny lizard girl always managed to bring a smile to his face just by being there. While he knew no more of her backstory than anyone else on the island in all cases of being truthful, she had an aura that made the boy feel a lot more trusting around her. After all, she'd seen him cry after he'd tripped during the invasion and hadn't said a word to anyone, so she was at the very least kindhearted.

"Awesome~!" The boy declared, extending a fist to the small girl in hopes of getting a bum in return, seeing her work done and the microchips all switched out. The device was going to be able to store a lot more data now, and keep track of Mercutio's energy trail. There then, of course came another important task of giving the device enough juice to sustain this kind of travel, the boy having prepared the tools to build a mini-generator to make this a reality. Reaching over to his supplies with a grin, the boy opened up a small case, various wires transistors and a glowing, green power source of some kind. All he'd need to do was... was...

The boy paused, his brow furrowing as he found the power supply a bit hard to grasp for some reason, his fingers feeling oddly chubby in his gloves. Looking at his hand, the pair of hand protectors were awfully tight, and the boy's claws were far from their trim and proper look, as if he hadn't looked after them in weeks! Scratching his head at this, the boy removed his gloves, thankful for the relief as he figured it must have been part of growing up really. He'd gotten new gloves before in his life, and his claws were finicky. Till he got used to this though, he figured someone else was better suited to the job.

"Here ya go, Artemis! I'm, uh... gonna work on getting the old one out! The wires are all color-coded, just need to connect 'em to the right socket is all," the kitsune declared, moving the whole box of power supplies to the dragon, her small stature coming in handy once more, hoping she wouldn't mind the more simple work.

The boy's smile was in full swing though, once Sonomi not only declared she'd be staying, but also worked super, super hard on getting him a cookie all his own! The boy brought his hands to his face in surprise, not believing she'd go through all the trouble for someone she barely knew, Mairu yelling out, "No way, it'll taste like the best cookie ever! Th-thanks Ms. Sonomi~" The tyke's voice trailed off as she pet his fur, an odd reaction taking place as his face grew red but his eyes grew tired and his tails drooped, something paramount to an "off" switch having been hit on the boy for a few moments as he seemed lost in a blissful space. Hearing talks of sign language though, the boy shook his head as his ears and tail sprung back to life, jumping back into the conversation as the red on his cheeks died down. "No way! Ms. Sonomi knows it, I know it, Artemis knows it and now Big Brother Gjoll's gonna learn it! We should start a super secret club where only we know what each other are saying..."

The boy's eyes grew serious for a moment, looking carefully from side to side, making sure both Sonomi and Artemis were watching before he brought his hands up, declaring in the silent language of USL in the most earnest of faces he could muster, "Toilet."

Giggling from there, Mairu made his move towards Eizen, going through his definitely not sick fit as he watched the teen overhaul the cover right off the old power supple, smiling all the way as he whispered, "So cool~" and then took the device back, glad to see Eizen following him back to the group. It was definitely a big-mini party now, the fox happily munching on his cookie as he got to work on the power supply. Mairu was happy to get back to work on the device now, the removal of the power supply requiring a lot less finesse than its building, setting the tracker down as he got out a screwdriver and some scissors with rubber handles. Snipping away at the wires, the blonde tyke then began to jiggle the screwdriver around in the familiar, green power supply, one far dimmer than his.

Popping the old one out, still munching on his cookie as he listened in on the conversations taking place around him, especially Eizen's weird attitude, given he was way friendlier during the beach battle. Pushing that to the side for the moment, the fox turned his head to Eizen and questioned, mouth full of cookie, "Dark Continent? Is that where Mercutio took you and Mr. Dr. Goose when we were teachin' class Big Brother Gjoll?" Picking up on something else, the boy quickly turned to Sonomi as he asked with a mixture of confusion and amazement, "You can erase quirks? Like, forever? Don't erase my quirk, okay?! I could end up havin no ears and hairless tails... that'd be freaky... Don't erase Artemis' quirk either! She'd be taller, but she'd be naked..."

At first, the boy was in a panic, worried about Sonomi's quirk going out of control and making everyone look funny forever, before a great realization struck him, hands to his face in shock and eyes on the floor as he said quietly, "...she's always naked..."

To the little dragon's delight, it seemed like someone else on the island knew sign language. Her opinion of Sonomi rose to place the other under "mildly interesting". Artie didn't really care where or how the older woman knew USL, just that she knew how to 'speak' it and that she had another person she could effortlessly communicate with. However despite her raise in opinion, the orphan still didn't like it when Sonomi casually patted her foxy friend on the head. Being too preoccupied with her comically large cookie and Mairu seemingly not minding the attention, she let it slide though.

Since her help was needed again, Artemis put her cookie to the side. Plugging the device up int he correct sequence wasn't hard for the small creature. She seemed to be the perfect size for all of this work and honestly it was fun in a novel kind of way. Once done the girl went back to slowly nomming on her treat. It'd been a long time since she'd had a cookie or even chocolate and was determined to savour every last crumb of it.

The talk seemed to switch from language, to people's health, to their quirks. One thing that little Artie noted was that the person she knew as "Feraocity" was being called "Gjoll" by everyone else. She briefly pondered on why, when they met, she was given a different name than one that seemed commonly used by others. 'Maybe it's just a nickname?' Artemis shrugged. It wasn't like she could spell 'Gjoll' anyway, so would probably stick with what she was originally told.

Due to her hands being occupied the girl was basically muted for the upcoming conversation. Instead she did what she did best and listened to people instead. When Eizen bought up the fact that the older girl who knew USL had a quirk that could erase quirks, Artemis's interest was peaked. She'd never even heard of such a quirk before and it sounded odd. Mairu's reaction to it however was hilarious. Wanting to reply to that comment, Artie put her cookie down close beside her to pick up paper and pen. Despite half of the people there knowing USL the little dragon didn't want Eizen or Gjoll to feel like they were being left out on a conversation.

"Being changed like that would be odd...and cold" the orphan wrote. She paused and looked at her words before adding, rather mischievously "And I'm not naked, I have my harness!" Artie turned the paper around so that everyone could see it, arctic eyes silently laughing.

Sweet Baby Lemon Hands, the wizard, is here to the rescue!
Upon handing Mairu over the cookie bits, she couldn’t help but feel relieved at his response towards seeing them. “Thank you ruru-chan, you’re very sweet. I hope the cookie is really good for you then.” She added before staying next to him for a moment to listen to him talk about sign language. She glanced over on occasion at the little dragon nibbling on food bits while Gjöll and the other boy where chatting it up very briefly. It was good to see everyone happy in some form of the word, her arms crossed in front of her chest before she looked down towards the little fox. A soft chuckle once again leaving her lips at Mairu’s enthusiasm with a ‘secret’ club of sorts and the white haired woman couldn’t help but nod. Her eyes lingered towards the small fox’s hands before bringing up her own to mimic him.

She tried to be just as crafty as Mairu and even went as far as mocking his motions of ‘scanning’ the area before her hands began to move. “Fart.” It took a second however, as Sonomi had to think of a word that people surprisingly at her age still my find funny while keeping his face still.

Small giggles lingered after Mairu started before she nodded towards him and made her way to sit right next to Gjöll. She looked over at him and smiled upon his request in teaching him, an offer she wouldn’t refuse as she agreed. “Of course I can teach you Gjöll, besides - we need to chat more anyway.” She added before raising her hand for a moment, but as she raised it did she immediately place it back down on her lap upon going back on her action to ruffle the younger’s hair. “It’ll be difficult, but I assure you it’s a fun thing to learn. We can try doing it on the beach sometime or wherever you find it to be the most relaxing.” She reassured him before looking over towards the television to get a brief glimpse at what had been playing.

It was what her and Gjöll assumed to be that one anime Mercutio liked a lot, she just couldn’t put the name of it as a finger of hers tapped against her leg. Six piece? No, that’s ordering chicken - that wouldn’t be an anime name, right? She was lost in thought for a little bit involving the whole ordeal before the boy named ‘Eizen’ cued a question she couldn’t help but look at him towards. The stare he was giving her could of been questionable but all Sonomi could do was arch an eyebrow towards him before letting him finish. Apparently he was curious about her or wanted to know more of who she was? It couldn’t be helped that the woman had a confused look on her face before readjusting herself on the chair she was sitting on.

Yes, I was tasked in watching you. I don’t know what all you want to know about me but for starters, the name is Sonomi. I’m surprised though since a lot of people thus far know me.” She began before her eyes lit up upon him mentioning her quirk. “... Yes. I can erase quirks, it’s uh…” It seemed the conversation wasn’t that great for her to confidently talk about. Sure, she confidently told Mercutio and all of Adrestia that her quirk didn’t define her - but it was slowly taking its time to ease itself out of her brain. “No no, I can’t erase them forever… well… maybe if I had eye drops that allowed me to look at someone forever.” She chuckled towards Mairu’s comment before shaking her head some more, “Don’t worry, I can’t just erase you guys to be ‘humans’ - that just sounds weird and something that a higher being could only do. I’m not a God by any stretch of the imagination there.” She finished before looking over towards Eizen once again. “I don’t know what else you’d like to ask me but that’s the jist of it unless you were looking for something more.

When Sonomi asked Gjöll the question as to why he was here in hushed tones, it was a relief to see he had just about the same reasons as her - be it hers was accidental due to the twins. It was when he added the last bit that she softened her expression to look between the kids and then him, “It’s about the usual, Gjöll. I can’t talk about it here unt-....??” She stopped upon hearing the shuffling of two little kids moving about on the couch. It was a blessing that they more or less behave well for their age, or most of the time as they came running over towards the pair on their chairs.

Sisnomi, I can’t wait to tell you what we saw on TV!” The older boy began before looking over next to her to see the boy she’d been conversing with before. “Sisnomi, is this the boy you always talk about?” The girl added before pointing at him with one hand and squeezing the plushie she had with the other. Sonomi paused for a moment, praying to the Lord in rare occurrence that she could direct this situation to something else. “You talked about him a lot ye-” The younger girl was going to add before the white haired girl coughed, waving a free hand of hers in the air to dismiss the topic. “I told you two a bedtime story yesterday, nothing else.” She retorted as the tips of her ears rung a soft pastel red due to the obvious embarrassment the younger two were putting on.

The twins frowned for a moment while looking between Sonomi and the younger man, obviously the younger girl wasn’t buying it before she piped up once again. “But you said how he looks ni-” Sonomi interrupted again with a cough before lightly making a karate chop motion towards the top of her head. “Compliments are fine, there’s nothing wrong with that.” She finished before the boy took his shot as piping up. “She says you’re really cool a lot! Like…” The boy got into position as he continued, “How like you go VSHOOSH! and NYERRRR - ERRRRR!” He continued as he ran around the mansion for a moment to demonstrate what the man did before coming back towards them and jumping up and down.

It was then that they also took their time looking at everyone else, they hadn’t seen the new person show up before but they both walked up to him to greet him. “Hello mister!” They were still shy like earlier, especially the boy who was late on seeing this new guy show up after his little presentation as they bowed towards him. Sonomi watched carefully but did her best to look back over at Gjöll before her face flushed once more, “Please forgive them, they tend to get hyper at around this time. Just ignore all that silly stuff that they said.” She nodded towards him before using a free hand of hers to rub the back of her head.

Mairu’s excitement about the possibility of him learning sign language, would bring a smile to the older boys face. Of course the idea of starting secret club had a few obvious flaws in itl, but he wasn’t going to spoil the young Kitsune’s fun. While the older teen didn’t recognize the silent language being shared between them, the difficulty the two were having keep a straight face along with the giggling would have him curious. It would really be nice to finally not be so out of the loop.

Aye, something seems to always come up whenever we get any chance to talk.” Gjöll agreed with Sonomi’s comment. “It’s been a few years since I’ve actually done any type of lessons other than training with Merc, but I used to pick up stuff pretty quickly, let’s hope that still the case. The beach is peaceful enough and there’s not many people around, should be good, once we have the time, of course.” It couldn’t be that hard to learn sign language, could it? He had become fairly decent understanding and speaking Japanese, and that was just from being around Mercutio. With a couple concentrated lessons hopefully he could manage enough sign language to be passable.

The mysteries surrounding Eizen continued to get more confusing as his response seemed to indicate that even he didn’t fully understand. With that said, he seemed to be getting a lot better at using whatever his strange power was, stopping mid thought to assist Mairu with his task with ease, before continuing. The way he spoke so casually about making a new arm, was a little disconcerting, but Gjöll had watched the boy do it before, so he wasn’t wrong. “I’ll keep that in mind if the original gives me any trouble, but for now it should just be a another we or so until it’s back to normal.” the older boy responded, still a bit apprehensive after seeing the whole “making” process. “Well if you ever want to talk about anything just find me, I know it can be a bit difficult to talk to Merc before you get to know him.” The older boy offered as Eizen moved over to talk to Sonomi.

Oh no, we didn’t go back to that awful after the class Mairu, Mercutio had some uuh... plans he wanted to discuss with the doctor and I before they were put in motion.” Gjöll answered to Mairu’s question, remembering halfway through that Mercutio’s plan to officially declare war on Wish was not something everyone else knew about yet. Trying to avoid being forced to lie or reveal the plans to the curious kitsune, he would quickly change to address the far more interesting topic. “The Dark Continent, or the Australia as we found it was called, is huge terrifying island filled with all sorts of monsters. People used to live there, but hundreds of years ago something either killed or warped all life into terrifying beings.” Unsure about how much Mairu already knew about Oni it was a topic he wanted to avoid for the moment, as Mercutio was by far the better one at explaining it. “Before I went there two years ago with Mercutio, most of the world didn’t even know it existed, it was only a rumor. We almost died several times, but came out way stronger with a lot of information about that horrible place. It’s also where I got this.” Reaching his arm out to show the boy his remaining gauntlet. “Not sure how it works, but no matter how hard I try, I’ve never been able to remove it, almost like it became part of my arm. It also has claws that are stored in the palm, but they are awkward and it’s really hard to get them to retract, so I try to avoid using them. There was a matching one on my other arm before Vitality attacked, but it got crushed by that-... Huntress, when I fought her...probably the only reason I didn’t have to get a new arm “made” or worse. Now all that is left of it is shards and splinters.” Luckily he had caught himself before referring to the woman as “that bitch”. Gjöll had been trying to avoid using vulgar language when he was around Mairu, with the twins at the moment it was even more important.

Sonomi’s hushed but quickly cut short mention of “the usual” would bring memories of their last discussion on the beach back to the mind. Was she still beating herself up over the Africa incident after all this time? He knew that she had kept herself locked away for a good part of the last year while she processed and work through everything. After seeing everyone come to defend their home during Vitality’s attack and all the work they were doing to help rebuild, he had hoped it would have eased the stress on her a bit. Watching back and forth between Sonomi and Maria, he would hear everything but still be left confused as to why Sonomi kept interrupting her. “Well I don’t think it was quite that cool. You pull it off way better.” he replied while grinning, after watching Joseph’s imitation of him from the story.

As the two walked over to greet Eizen, Gjöll would finally notice the change of color in Sonomi’s face as she asked him to ignore what the twins had said. “Oh,don’t worry about it, kids will be kids,” he laughed., “Even if it was a story, I’d never thought I’d ever hear the word “cool” used to describe me when fighting, always only ever thought of it as terrifying.” Their last conversation still on his mind slightly, he would quickly ask. “You didn’t sell yourself short in this story did you? I meant what I said before: If you hadn’t been there, fighting alongside us, we wouldn’t have been able to holdout for more than a few seconds against those two.

"Suit yourself, but my offer remains open, Gjöll. And of course I'll probably take you up on that talk at some point or another... Talking with Mercutio can be a bit uncomfortable... and awkward." Eizen would offer the injured boy a small smile before he listened to what the white haired woman had to say in response to him. She introduced herself as 'Sonomi' before she went on to explain that she could indeed erase quirks, though not forever. She'd make some kind of quip about eye drops that Eizen didn't fully understand.

A woman that can erase quirks? Handy... and dangerous if she should choose to turn against her rightful God.

Mercutio trusts her, and if that egotistical maniac trusts her, then I don't think we have to worry about that.

Is that not an even greater reason to remain on guard around her? Her relation to the self proclaimed 'Crimson King' just means she would turn against us at his very beck and call, like a mutt taking food from their Master.

Eizen would do his best to keep a pleasant smile as he held his internal conversation with Overhaul. Sure, sometimes the older man had some very valuable advice for Eizen... but the rest of the time? The rest of the time he was arrogant and annoying, always going on and on about achieving Godhood and wanting Eizen to take his place at the top of the evolutionary food chain. He was only fourteen, how was he supposed to do that when he was stuck with such a low-grade and weak body!? Regardless, Eizen would zone back into the situation around him to find he was being approached by two small children that looked eerily alike. The two would come up to him and utter a greeting before giving him a bow, leaving Eizen... surprised, actually. Were mere children capable of recognizing a rising Divinity? After their bow, Eizen would mimic their bow and offer them a small smile in return. After that, Eizen would look at Mairu again, raising an eyebrow at the kitsune.

"So, I know you got me to pull something back, but what exactly are you working on?" Eizen would keep his gaze on Mairu has he spoke, curious as to what he was working on.
