All across the world, tourists and those who didn’t call a country their ‘home’ were very easy to spot. One could accomplish this through all sorts of ways. The most obvious was a general appearance of being lost, holding maps, generally hanging around the gaudy tourist attractions of a place. And in hot countries, where its residents naturally tanned, there was another way to pick out a foreigner, too.

Their complexion.
Alana's Aesthetic

Alana was practically a bright white beacon strolling through Madrid’s city centre, and it really set her apart from the others that bustled around her. She had no map, nor other indications of being a tourist about her person. Having spent most of her later adult life travelling the world, she was a very comfortable traveller and was able to find the information she sought through observations, or simply by asking in broken native tongues. Or badly accented English. Nevertheless, she was very easily noticeable as somebody from a naturally colder climate due to her almost sheet-white skin. Her platinum blonde hair and icy blue eyes were other striking features that set her apart, too. She wasn’t in the slightest bit bothered by this fact and instead forged through the crowds, on a mission of sorts with her trained eyes drinking in all of her surroundings.

“Just one more flight hop and I’m back in that hell hole…” She muttered aloud to herself, fishing out her smartphone and holding it in one hand to look at its lit-up screen. Her phone wallpaper looked to be some kind of basic snapshot that all phones came with as standard, but the stunning beach scene illuminated on the device was Elysium. It made a ghostly small smile tug at her lips for a fraction of a second before she unlocked it with her fingerprint and started swiping through to find what she was looking for.

It had been approximately a week since she left the Iles of Elysium, the only ‘home’ she had really been in except for the time she spent in Wales with her adoptive parent. Although originally intending to leave with no hope of return (having been in a fiery temper at the time… go figure), she promised that she would return after sorting through some very heavy baggage that she carried with her since leaving her old life behind. Not that she had much of a life to begin with; after her adoptive mother perished, she went back to the life of bouncing through orphanages until she was an adult with some meagre savings that she could use to leave the UK behind for good.

And yet, something kept pulling her back.

It was the question she consistently returned to without an answer, and it had become too much to bear. Heritage and origins were very important parts of a person, and Alana had no idea about what hers were. Did her parents die? Were they still alive? Why did they leave her at that Scottish orphanage? Why did the fires of her quirk burn with rainbows? She had so many questions that were unanswered, and it wasn’t even guaranteed that her journey would answer these questions for her. But she had to at least try before she could move on with her life.
Art Place

“Aha!” She smiled, looking up from her phone at the stunning building ahead of her. On her long journey back to Scotland, Alana had purposely planned various sight-seeing trips along the way to properly centre her mind and gain some semblance of her old self again; the self that wasn’t constantly seething with anger and confusion.

Art always made her feel at home.

And so, she found herself stood in front of the prestigious Museo Nacional Del Prado, which hosted one of the best European art collections in the world. Her eyes lit up with electric yellow hues which portrayed her excitement outwardly as she put her best foot forward and bounded up the marble steps. Passing through the impressive, towering columns, she soon found herself in the (thankfully air-conditioned) lobby. Entrance to the museum was free, but there were some fascinating exhibitions that cost some Euros due to the fact that they were tour-based. Although it was tempting to get a more in-depth journey around the place and hear somebody’s opinions on the pieces, or even some more history, Alana was more than happy to wander around at her own pace.

She tucked a strand of electric yellow hair behind her ear as she made her way inside, wandering around the first floor and absorbing the beautifully suffocating atmosphere of old, stunning artwork. Although she received various shifty glances from people around her, she paid no mind as she continued to admire the paintings and other works of art dotted around the expansive museum, taking her time to really revel in it all.

This was the perfect place to take her mind off all of the potential disappointment that awaited her in Scotland, and she would enjoy every single second.

Alessandra cheerfully walked through Madrid city, her latest stop in her world tour. She wore a jeans and a loose t-shirt that showed off her nice figure and allowed room for her large wings on her back. As she explored her pure white hair and wings shined as bright as her smile, one black and the other white scanned over store fronts as she walked keeping her wings tucked in tight as to not bump into anyone. “Oh this is very pretty!”she exclaimed in a beautifully thick Italian accent to a store owner as she admired some souvenirs in front of a store. Continuing through the city she would occasionally take out her phone to double check her map before heading continuing forward.

After a while of wandering through this city Alessandra arrived at her destination, Museo Nacional Del Prado. Before she had left on her trip one of her friends had ordered her to visit the art museum if she had ever found herself in Madrid. The halo above her head began to glow softly as she bounced up the stairs and into the Museum. After not having to pay a thing the young woman began to explore the large building filled with beautiful art work. “It was so worth coming he…” She muttered before someone passing around the corner caught her eye. “It can't be… Right?...” she muttered as she turned in the direction of the person.

As Alessandra turned the corner she spotted the head of platinum blond hair on the other side of the crowd turn into a different exhibit. “Is that really her?!...” she muttered as she tucked her wings tight and quickly walked after them. Quickly arriving in the next exhibit she had been able to catch up to them and catch a clear view of their face. “Ignacia, is that you?...” Alessandra asked the girl with her Italian accent, her excitement was half obvious in their voice and anticipation was written on her face.

If it were socially acceptable and possible, Alana would happily take up residence in museums and art galleries.

Time seemed to slow down in the best possible way while she spent time moving through the free exhibits in the museum, drinking in the colours of every painting she passed. On the ground level, a large amount of sculptures made up magnificent displays, too. Although sculpting was an art somewhat lost on her, she was fascinated by the process and she spent far too long admiring the flawless works of clay, wooden and steel art arranged in the lobby.

Most individuals with an iota of sense or head for danger wouldn’t be ambling so casually when they could easily be recognised and hunted at any second. But then again, the Sorceress had never really been all too concerned about such things. The bounty placed upon her head was something she often forgot, until it was brought up in conversation when she could brag about her level of danger to the public at large. It was something she held a lot of pride for; being a successful Villain. And after she had been hailed as a Hero in Beijing after that prison incident… saving prisoners’ lives by accident had really stuck with her and the (very mixed) reputation she boasted.

As she reached an exhibit on older, more historic paintings, she felt a small buzz in her purse which originated from her smartphone. Somebody had messaged her in some manner, that much was obvious. Darn it, she hated using technology in such a sacred, beautiful place… she had better just check what was happening for two seconds.

With a swift movement, she brought out her phone and checked the screen with a small tap of the unlock button. Oh fantastic; the group chat that allowed for her small horde of avid followers to stay in touch with her. They had their uses and were entertaining in their own ways, but goodness if they weren’t a pain in the rear end at times… they forever harassed her whenever she insisted on having culture stops, because they didn’t understand or appreciate the beauty of artwork. It was exhausting.

It took every fibre in her being to simply ignore the messages and put the phone back in her zip-up purse hanging at her side, angrily smoothing both hands over her ruffled summer dress afterwards. They would wait as long as she had told them to!! No ifs or buts. It was practically criminal not to absorb culture while in one of the most colourful capital cities in Europe!!

She was so absorbed in irritation with her taggers-on that she was completely oblivious to anybody being around her until they were literally in her face. A woman with some interesting monochrome eyes and hair seemed to appear out of nowhere, and it had Alana doing a double-take with her eyes widening in shock. Her expression only served to give way to further surprise when the stranger addressed her by (badass) name, and asked if it was her. The stranger had a memorable enough appearance that Alana was sure she would remember them, so who on earth were they?

Wait… they referred to her by the name of Ignacia… only those who knew of Mercutio and Adrestia knew her by that name.

This could either be very good, or very bad.

Through the very thick Italian accent, however, was a definite tone of excitement. Alana hoped that this was adoration as opposed to killing intent, and would have to tread carefully until she knew more about this stranger from their body language and communication. Careful, now… “Of course it is.” She proclaimed boldly with a smirk to match, flipping some of her long bangs out of her eyes with artistic flair.

So much for being careful…

“The fact that you know of me has… uh, some mixed possibilities.” She raised an eyebrow, glancing around their immediate area to see who was around; if anyone. It would be a shame if she had to fight in this beautiful space… so much potential to destroy stunning artwork. No, she couldn’t even bear to think of it!! Here’s to hoping that the stranger didn’t mean to kill her for the bounty.

Being recognised in a positive way was great and all, but Alana couldn’t help longingly glancing at some of the stunning 14th century art around them at present, too. There might still be time for an indulgent art day…

Alessandra smile grew even larger when Ignacia confirmed that is was in fact her! “I can’t believe I actually get to meet you! The great general of Elysium!” She said jumping up a little in excitement. Her halo had begun to shine to the brightness of a light bulb signifying her excitement. When the woman had started her travels she had saw a news program talking about the former hero Mercutio who had killed a lot of people and now had a $40 Million bounty. After that she had decided to do some research herself and learned about Elysium along with a few other people of the country including Ignacia.

A blank look crossed over Alessandra's face as she recalled what she had said for a second before she realized that her reaction could have appeared different intentions. “Oh God! Sorry about that Ignacia…” The woman exclaimed clasping her hands over her mouth. “I forgot that having a million dollar bounty on your head meant that… well you had a million dollar bounty on your head.” She whispered to the other woman apologetically, letting out a small nervous giggle at the end. “And sorry for any confusion…” She added as she quietly. “I mean to not harm you, I have just been interested in Mercutio and Elysium, you included…” As she said this she would nervously poke the tips of her fingers together Someone would be able to notice that her wings and halo had begun to droop slightly as Alessandra truly had no intention of harming the other woman, hopefully Ignacia would be able to tell that she was telling the truth.

It was quite amusing, really. At the very least, Alana found it to be funny that somebody had recognised her and was excited about that fact. Normally it was Heroes and goody-two-shoes that got all of this sort of positive attention, but here she was as a convicted criminal with a bounty on her head, having a young woman with a halo atop her head practically glowing with amazement over the fact that it was the real Ignacia.

Alana wasn’t about to pass up some positive attention, especially not when it was for her work and renown as Adrestia’s lead general. It felt a little bittersweet, however, that she was recognised for the deeds of others and being connected to the organisation. Nevertheless, she had been recognised as herself and that was all good with her.

Upon mentioning that being seen as Ignacia, currently a wanted woman, could have mixed possibilities… the stranger seemed to have something dawn upon her, and she jumped to apologise while covering her mouth with her hands. And what followed had the platinum blonde woman trying to fight loud laughter. Indeed, having a one million dollar bounty on one’s head could prove very bad indeed when the wrong people caught wind of it. “No worries. I’m still getting used to it for myself, honestly.” She shrugged nonchalantly with a pretty cool, even expression on her face. As it turned out, the woman who knew of her wasn’t after said bounty. Well… it didn’t seem like it, at least.

Standing still and talking (albeit quietly) in an art museum was sure to look suspicious, however, so Alana looked at her current companion and made a ‘follow me’ gesture with her hand before strolling ahead in the exhibit. “It’ll be better if we walk and talk.” She uttered gently to the stranger, smiling and appearing as if she knew this woman while going back to looking at the surrounding artwork when time permitted.

Assuming that the other woman chose to walk alongside Alana, she would go on to apologise again before revealing that she was very interested in Mercutio and Elysium at large. While it was far from unusual to meet somebody who had heard Mercutio’s name, it was practically unheard of for somebody to speak of him in a somewhat fond and/ or positive tone of voice; as if they looked up to him. Outside of the Iles themselves, everybody saw the infamous Crimson Fucker to be a Villain.

Although it seemed farfetched and impossible, the stranger seemed to be telling the truth. Alana was a bit of a whizz when it came to observing others and picking up on subtle indicators to figure out their true intentions, so it was very easy to tell when somebody was being sincere.

She’d just have to deal with it later if it turned out that this woman was actually a very good liar.

“It isn’t very often that somebody is interested in us beyond cashing in on our bounties.” The sorceress chuckled, keeping her voice low in tone and volume as she continued to pass by stunning pieces of art all around them both. “So what kind of interest do you have in us? Would have thought it was more normal to idolise Heroes and stuff over us renegades for balance.” She smirked a little, tilting her head and giving the stranger a sidelong glance.

“You got a name I can call you by?”

“Sure!” Alessandra said as she pulled her hands away from her face and followed Ignacia when she was told to. She was glad that the other woman had not mistaken her for someone who wanted to cash in her bounty, she would probably have been screwed if she had to fight her. Her mismatched eyes scanned over the beautiful artwork around the two as they walked.

“That’s exactly it!” Alessandra exclaimed when Ignacia asked her why she was interested in them, renegades for balance. The young woman skipped ahead of the other woman, joy covering her face. “Balance! That’s exactly what this world needs! People like you and Mercutio to regulate the world!” She said with her deep Italian accent “Regulate the difference between Good!” She stepped over to the side and let her wings stretch out a little bit. “And Evil!” She said as she did a small twirl to the other side. As she did this parts of her body changed, her pure white hair and wings turned to a pitch black. The black streak on her right wing and the two streaks in her hair turning pure white. The twin halos above her hair also turned from a beautiful gold to a dark demonic purple.

A devious grin spread across the woman’s face as she stood in her reverse form. Alessandra tucked wings tightly behind her and reverting back to her former appearance, a bright smile on her face. “Oh, sorry! My name is Alessandra, Alessandra Angelo.” The younger woman said introducing herself.

It wasn’t every day that one met somebody who claimed to be a big fan of you, when you openly told the world that you were a Villain and affiliated with one of the biggest Villains in the world at present. Alana had to allow herself an inward chuckle or so as she considered the absurdity of it all, smiling a fraction as she led the way to walk around the museum and look at artwork as well as talking.

Standing and conversing would bring a lot of attention to the pair of them, especially considering that the other woman in question was… well, immensely animated about meeting her. That, and the stranger’s appearance was notably striking, too. The more they walked and tried to be like normal museum enthusiasts, the less people would stare and start recognising Alana’s face… that was the goal, at least.

She kept her voice low as she asked the stranger about what was so exciting or inspiring about Adrestia and Elysium, and even mentioning the word balance brought about an enthused reaction. Apparently, the world needed this balance of light and darkness to regulate the world, and Alana was a little too taken aback to mention that she was more on the ‘darkness’ side of that image. The stranger proceeded to make a show of replicating good and evil with her quirk abilities, which didn’t half make a spectacle. It was a good thing they were in a quieter part of the museum at this point; if they had still been in the main lobby, that would have certainly had security guards raising eyebrows.

Although being pretty well-travelled, Alana hadn’t seen anybody with a quirk like this Italian woman’s. It was clearly some kind of angelic thing, what with the halos and her regular appearance. However, the ability to change aesthetic aspects of one’s appearance was something she was unfamiliar with; excluding herself.

The stranger decided to make herself a stranger no longer and introduced herself. A suitably Italian-sounding name, to match that thick accent. Alana grinned a little at her companion, remaining conscious of continuing to move in the museum to avoid being recognised.

As potentially harmful as this lingering with somebody who recognised her as Adrestian actually was, Alana’s hubris took over as she basked in the light of being revered by somebody else. Even though Mercutio was always mentioned first, she decided to ignore that fact and simply revelled in the fact that she was recognised for her less-than-savoury deeds. Well… that was what she chose to think, at the very least. Alessandra clearly seemed more interested in Mercutio’s whole ‘balance’ shindig, but she wasn’t about to pass up being recognised!!

“Great to meet ya, Alessandra. Mind if I call ya Sandra? Or uh… something a little shorter?” She asked, already having a fair bit of trouble pronouncing the woman’s somewhat lengthy name with its ‘s’ sounds. Her Scottish accent was relatively low-key in most circumstances, but when pronouncing the ‘s’ sound and other such consonants, it came out very thick indeed. “Angel will work fine, too.” She pondered, seemingly not all too bothered about Alessandra’s input regardless of what was said to be okay or not.

Alana subconsciously started to lead the way into another exhibit room, one of the furthest ones away from the lobby in the far western wing of the building. “Well, either way, I ain’t on Elysium right now. Taking a bit of a vacation, I suppose.” She shrugged, icy blue eyes glancing around the room as they entered. “Got to take some time to figure stuff out.” She turned and looked at Alessandra curiously, tilting her head as her hair and eyes adopted more greenish blue tints to their respective colours. “If you’re so stoked on us, I’m surprised you haven’t made an effort to reach out and join. Everybody in the world knows where we are now; it’s both the best and worst time to pledge allegiance.” She smirked in a knowing fashion, allowing herself a small, mirthful laugh.

“Sandra’s fine!” Alessandra said happily. She could tell that the other woman was having trouble pronouncing her long name and it felt good to be given a nickname, normally she was called Angel by those who couldn’t pronounce Alessandra. The Italian woman was still very happy to have her new nickname even tho Ignacia had mentioned Angel, the fact that she gave her a nickname to begin with exited her. The winged girl followed the other as she went Into another exhibit, her eyes scanned across the artwork in aw.

Alessandra nodded along as Ignacia spoke. “Makes sense. Everyone needs to take a break every once in a while, even great generals such as yourself.” She said in a more normal tone as she walked next to her. She had realized that her whole giant display of good and evil was quite obvious and someone might notice Ignacia, she didn’t want her to get in trouble because of her silly actions. “I’m on vacation myself, finally getting to travel the world!” As she said this she waved her hand out in front of her subtly, just enough to convey her message but not enough to draw anyone’s attention hopefully. “Anyway good luck with figuring things out. If I can help out in anyway just ask.” Alessandra said as she locked eyes with the other woman giving her a big smile.

“W-W-Wait I could have just gone to Elysium and joined?!” Alessandra exclaimed, her mouth hanging open. “I thought no one was aloud their except those invited and only the strong could join!” The girl was shocked, she hadn’t expected to be able to just walk up and join such amazing people so easily. “It’s not like there's a hotline I can call to join… right?” The girl asked half jokingly. “I really should have done some more research…” She said looking down at the ground. Could she really have just joined? Would they actually let someone as weak as her join them? The fact that she was basically meeting a badass celebrity already blew her mind, hanging out and having a conversation even more, now being able to maybe just join a group that shared ideas with her! Internally the Italian girl was shook with excitement.

So, here were two rather unusual women in an art gallery; Alana and Sandra, as she would now be known since confirming that the nickname choice was fine. The platinum blonde female nodded her head by way of acknowledgement, pleased that she wouldn’t have to continuously refer to the halo-toting woman by full name at every turn. It was one of the reasons why the sorceress was pleased that her own names, both given and middle, were relatively short and not too difficult to pronounce. Ignacia was unusual, but it was one of those names that made more sense when said aloud.

It felt as if she were being accompanied by a far happier, more chipper gang member that she had amassed following the retribution of Dengta Tower. She wasn’t used to being so heartily agreed with and looked at with admiration as she was when she was with the gaggle of goons who followed her everywhere. That wasn’t a bad thing, however; Alana was quite alright with being looked at as if she were some kind of gift to mankind. Her companion, Sandra, mentioned that everybody needed a vacation at some point, and expressed the fact that she was travelling the world for the first time. As quite the seasoned traveller herself, Alana turned to look at the other woman with a tilt of her head. “Travel is pretty great when you have the cash to back it up. Where’ve you been so far?” She decided that, since Sandra was sticking around, she may as well open up conversation and be more friendly; especially since the pair of them had wandered further away from prying eyes in the museum.

Heck, Sandra even went as far as to offer help with figuring out Alana’s current little quest. It made the Scotswoman smirk slightly, glancing between two paintings in the classical art display they were currently wandering through. “The offer’s appreciated. Not sure what you could do to help, though, unless you could tell me where my bloody parents are.” She chuckled, mirth in her eyes as she turned to smile at Sandra. “I’m taking the long route back to Scotland right now. Got a bone to pick with some people in my past, before I can properly move forwards.” With a shrug of her shoulders, the petite young woman raised her arms and clasped hands together at the back of her head. She had reached a surprising amount of apathy towards the situation now that she was on the journey itself, and wasn’t so obsessive over it holding her down.

No, she would find out what happened to her parents, who they were, and she’d be able to make a decision as to where she’d go next. The obvious choice was back to Elysium, but… she wasn’t sure where her journey would take her just yet.

Her joking comments about Sandra going to the islands of Elysium for herself seemed to be taken literally, and Alana’s companion was struck with disbelief. The Scotswoman laughed, unable to help herself, and raised a hand to stifle her laughter as she led the way into another exhibition. She hadn’t been aware that Sandra would be so… literal. “I was just fooling around; I really don’t know how the Crimson Wanker chooses people, or who’s allowed in Elysium.” She chuckled, rolling her shoulders back a little as she observed the new artwork around her. A lot of pieces covered the walls from what she assumed to be the 1600s, if she were judging by the painting styles.

“He invited me to get involved when the country was just one tiny-ass island in the middle of nowhere, and when he was still in favour with the world government.” She pointed out, pausing in front of an artist’s depiction of some war that took place in Spain. Loads of arrows, fire, destruction… how pretty. “Things have changed a bunch. You still need his approval to join us; that much I know for sure.” It was funny; even after leaving Elysium, a place she swore at one point that she despised, she was subconsciously singing its praises and talking about it.

She supposed she missed the islands and the people… a little bit. Maybe. Ugh, nobody could ever find that out…

“Anyway, what’s your story, Sandra? Travelling the world, dreams of joining a group hated by the rest of the globe… there’s gotta be more than that.” She smirked, turning on her natural charming nature without realising it. Something about her bubbly personality seemed to make people like her, but she was unsure of what, exactly.

“I’ve been saving up for a couple of years so I’m good in that regard.” Alessandra… Sandra said when Ignacia asked about her travels. She really enjoyed the nickname that the other woman had given her. “As for where I’ve been I haven’t done that much. I live in the Northern part of Italy and started by traveling down through the country. After that I went Porchigal before ending up here.” Sandra thought back to the past few weeks from when she had started her big adventure. The woman didn’t have a set plan as she traveled, only that she would be able to find something fun and exciting that she could do with her life.

“Oh… sorry I can’t help you with that…” Sandra apologized, frowning slightly. “Oh! Scotland’s one of the locations on my list of places to go. I’m planning on zigzagging up and down Europe for a while going to each country.” She commented. “I wish you luck tho on finding your parents.”

A confused look crossed over Sandra’s face as the other woman began to laugh after she commented about being able to join Elysium. Her expression turned blank when she said that she had been joking, the woman’s halos fell to the ground with a dramatic clink in the luckily empty exhibit as she stopped in her tracks. “Huh?!” The woman exclaimed as a giant blush covered her face and her halos flew back above her head. Beginning to follow Ignacia again the still read faced Italian hung her head slightly. “T-this is so embarrassing… I’m so stupid for thinking I was so stupid…” she muttered. “My wings aren’t even strong enough to slow me to fly yet…”

Sandra lifted her head back up as Ignacia stopped in front of a painting depicting a war in Spain and talked about her experience with Mercutio. She nodded along as she spoke, her head sulking when she mentioned that you needed his approval, he would probably never let someone weak like her join. “Oh my life’s not that interesting. All I’ve done is stay in Italy most of my life, the only interesting things about me are really just my appearance cause of my quirk and my idea of balance. The whole reason I’m doing this big trip around the world is so that I can find something to do with my life that actually means something!” The woman explained with a sheepish grin.

Ah, the benefit of saving money. It was something that Alana had never really figured out; not spending money she had. She loved travelling and partaking in art, which was notably expensive, far too much in order to covet more money than would provide her with some food once in a while. When she was truly involved in a project she oftentimes wouldn’t eat until she was finished, but that was another matter entirely. She liked to call it artistic genius, but it was moreso eccentricity.

After asking where else Sandra had been, the response was somewhat underwhelming. Well, it was sold as such. Seeing all of Italy’s sights and then visiting Portugal (at least that’s what Alana thought her companion meant) was far from a meagre amount of travel, especially if you had only just started. “Travel without any plans is great fun.” The petite artist grinned, flipping her platinum blonde locks over her shoulder in a somewhat theatrical manner. “You can stumble into all kinds of stuff! That’s how I had a run-in with a supervillain, after all.” She couldn’t help bragging about being a survivor of that hellish prison experience, especially since the criminal’s name had been released as being global knowledge. Heck yeah, she had talked sass at Madness and survived!!

It was a pretty big achievement, honestly.

In spite of trying to be light-hearted with her current goals and aspirations, Alana noticed that Sandra seemed downhearted that she couldn’t help with finding the Elysium General’s parents. It made said young woman chuckle gently and wave a hand dismissively. “Don’t worry, don’t worry. It ain’t mandatory to help me on this goose-chase. You should enjoy your travels to the fullest.” She made sure to add, getting a bit of an inkling of how Sandra would react to things. She really loved Elysium a lot; being sad that she couldn’t help somebody from said group of islands with a personal goal. That, or she was a pretty nice person by nature. Alana was, as of yet, unsure.

“And I suppose Scotland’s alright. I grew up there, so I don’t think it’s that great. The castles and old stuff is pretty cool, for sure.” She nodded, speaking of her homeland briefly when it was mentioned. People seemed to get pretty excited to visit the United Kingdom, which baffled Alana. However, as she mentioned, she lived in Scotland for most of her life. Similarly to how somebody in the Caribbean would think the tropical hotspot wasn’t all that great, people had different views on places they lived in. “I’ll take that luck though. All I’ve got right now is some old people running an orphanage in Edinburgh as my only lead.” Once again lacing humour with a seeming plight in her life, she laughed and made light of the situation. There was no point in being sad about things anymore, not when she was resolved in her decision to at least try and figure out where she came from. It wasn’t like she had high hopes to begin with.

No expectations? No crushing defeat.

Somehow, Alana joking around with joining the organisation of Adrestia, located on Elysium, disheartened Sandra for buying into the light-hearted stuff. Although the platinum blonde was good with people in a traditional sense, she wasn’t great when it came to emotional responses and people being down on themselves. As such, she blinked owlishly a few times in surprise due to the manner in which Sandra reacted, and she floundered a little while thinking of how to respond.

“I mean, being strong isn’t anything to do with being a member. I was hella weak when I first joined. Mercutio likes all sorts’a people, so don’t get too down about it.” She offered this by way of reassurance, but she wasn’t sure about just how… reassuring it would be. Nevertheless, it was true. She had been even more arrogant and sure of her abilities back when Mercutio asked for her to join his cause, when in fact, she didn’t have the skills to back it up whatsoever. He saw something in her, however, and the rest was history.

There seemed to be a common theme appearing, what with Sandra’s very humble responses to questions and generally being down herself and her life. Alana just didn’t know how to respond or what to say; she was filled with confidence and or joked about stuff by default, it was bizarre that somebody had this level of low self-confidence. “Well, uh, travelling the world will open yourself up to all sorts’a experiences. I’m sure you’ll find something to pursue, no matter what!” Being a motivational speaker was not part of Alana’s usual repertoire, and it showed in her somewhat awkward manner of addressing her companion. Darn, couldn’t Sandra just… have some gusto with her life?

A vibration in her messenger bag caught her attention, however, and she dug deep to find her smartphone. Upon illuminating its screen, she saw a message from Katrina immediately;

‘You’re late’.

Two very weighty words coming from the overly-serious woman from Alana’s group of followers, and she decided that she had better appease her little group in this instance. She took a brief pause before holding up her phone, giving it a small wave. “That’s my signal to get outta here. I was waiting for my gang to get everything ready for my next flight. And now, I’m headed off to Scotland.” She stretched and smiled at Sandra, putting away her phone and looking back over her shoulder in the direction from whence they meandered through the museum.

With a pause, she considered how good it would be to start sowing the seeds and keeping a solid support base for Adrestia, what with the most recent declaration to the world, and thus rooted around in her bag again for a small slip of paper. Written on it was the phone number for her travelling phone (an old Apple smartphone model), and she handed it to Sandra. “Let me know when you get to Scotland. I could maybe show you some pretty cool places in the country of rain and big hills.” She chuckled, waiting for Sandra to take the offering of a phone number so the pair could remain in contact. Without much further delay, however, she turned and started to make her exit. “Keep rooting for balance. We’ll make sure to create a world that runs on it.”

And with that, she made her way swiftly back to the museum’s entrance/ exit, slipping outside and making her way to the agreed safe location to meet up with her gang again. Judging by this encounter alone, her journey of self was sure to be filled with many surprises…

Sandra nodded along as Ignacia spoke, she wished that she had had a more exciting life story but so far nothing had really happened to her. “Maybe i'll encounter something like that one day as well.” She said with a smile. “I would still want to help you tho.” Sandra honestly wanted to help the woman, she was naturally helpful (when she was a angel at least) but truly wanted to help the great general. Sadly the younger woman hadn't been out of Italy much and would probably give absolutely no help.“I'm really excited to see the castles!” Sandra exclaimed beaming. “I love the old buildings like castles and stuff. Their so cool!”

Sandra's mood lightened up when she said that she had been weak to one day, in her mind she couldn't imagine the great general Ignacia standing in front of her being weak. It just didn’t seem right. “Thanks Ignacia!” She said with the biggest smile yet as she looked at the other woman. Her words were not the best encouragement but to Sandra even the small words Ignacia said held a lot of weight and meaning to her.

The italian woman pouted slightly as the the Alysian General said that she had to leave. A look of shock crossed over her face when she stopped and gave her a piece of paper with her phone number on it. “W-wait really?! Thank you!” The woman said shocked as she carefully took the paper from her and held it in her hand. “I will!” She answered with a big grin as she held the piece of paper to her chest.

Standing with the big grin on her face Sandra watched as Ignacia walked away and out of the museum. Snapping back to reality she pulled out her phone from her back pocket and went to her contact page. Entering in her number and name she sent the contact to her computer back home and saved it in multiple locations to make sure that she could never lose it. As she walked out of the museum and towards the hotel she would be staying in for the night she sent Ignacia a small text consisting of a angel emoji so that she could have her number herself. Grinning like mad and radiating a warm light (from her halo) she skipped along happy to have met a such a amazing person.
