"Don't worry about it," Rainer said, glancing back at Vivi and giving a kind smile. But despite his attempt to put on a strong front, he was truly exhausted. Physically and mentally. He understood the feeling that Vivi was having because, he felt it as well. But he didn't want to show that. He didn't want to show the fact their defeat was affecting him. In defeated spirits, he turned towards the boat and headed towards it, watching the ground sorrowfully as he did as not to show Vivi his face. He nodded to the girls voice, letting out a faint 'yeah' without looking back. There were a lot of things to worry about, and his mind was filled to the brim. There were many things said here about WISH, and Rainer still hadn't drawn his own conclusion on them. He wasn't really sure why he came for. Was it a whim? A desire for something greater? Either way, there were many powers at play here which were much greater than Rainer himself, organising and overseeing this entire expenditure. The political and military significance was lost on the bounty hunter. All he could do was step back and try to make sense of it all in this chaotic world. He wasn't going to take this Mercutio guy's words as the holy truth, but some of it did spur a feeling of inner conflict. Rainer wasn't exactly a supporter of WISH either way. There were some promises for this job as a reward, but he wasn't even sure if they would be fulfilled with how things turned out. And Rainer wouldn't really mind either way. A cash prize and some clearance on his criminal record was good enough for the bounty hunter. A flash of light came from ahead, Rainer stopping and watching vigilantly. "Him.." It seemed that Rainer had seen correctly; that boy from before had indeed combined with another. That combination apparently gave them some grand increase in combat power, since right now they just seemed like frail youth. From what he could decipher, it looked like they came apart after a while. It was just in time for the battle to end, a fitting moment. If this was just a bit ago, while the war had been raging on, Rainer would have gladly taken the opportunity to attack. But in just a short window of time, they'd gone from threats who could have killed both the bounty hunter and his allies to just some kids. Even if he was ordered to take them out by some higher power, he couldn't. Such was the bizarre nature of a cease-fire. Wonder what those fuckers'll be like in the future.. Ezra called out to them to leave, and Rainer had no objections. He could see Tapu in the distance, seemingly pretty injured. Poor guy. But the bounty hunter wasn't too worried for the guy's safety. He was a resilient bastard, some simple patch ups and he's oughta be good. Rainer shot one last glance at the explosive boy before walking up to the boat, remembering how his attack went through Rainer's smoke transformation. It was still a new weapon in Rainer's arsenal, unrefined and untamed. That encounter only served as a reminder of all the things he didn't know. I need to find someone who can harm me like that. And then... I'll have to figure out how to prevent it when I get there. It would be hard enough to go around asking people to attack him, so Rainer didn't put too much thought into the steps that would come after that. It wasn't something that could be resolved by thinking about it right here anyways. First he'd go find some bench on the boat and pass out. [exit] summary

As the others began to gather up, Hiko gave Lyra a simple pat on the back. The girl was doing something a bit odd with the paper about her, but in truth every resident of this island was ‘odd’ in their own way. Stretching her stony body a little bit, she let out a weary sigh. Despite not needing sleep, her energy was directly tied to her quirk in this form. All that shifting about underground was finally catching up to her. While she didn’t know every face on this island by heart, all of the combatants seemed to be in one relative piece. Hefting the robotic arm to rest on her other shoulder, she smiled and waved back to Mairu, happy to see the young one was unhurt. With a toothy grin she showed her spoils of war off. “Pretty cool eh?” She figured if anyone on the island would appreciate a cybernetic limb, it would the the little fox tinker. With the invaders on the retreat, she started the slow walk back to her office. Sooner or later it would be time to clean up the mess, and she wanted to snack a little on all the new magma before it was cleared away. On her way back, she took a small detour to stop and stare at the point where the drill had gone out of control, the blood soaked sand the only reminder of what transpired here. That troubled kid, she wrestled with her actions, despite knowing what she had done was the best choice. Sooner or later he would have met a much more gruesome fate. Her kindness, albeit seemingly a cold and monstrous act, came from a place of compassion. Slowly she gathered the sand and stone together, pulling it into a rigid meter-high spire. She buried the bloody sand deeper down, drawing the stone up to take it’s place. Slowly she pulled the body up through the stone, then the sand, up until his lifeless body sat limply on the sand. As she walked toward the water-line, she had the body sift behind her in the sand, following as she strolled. One by one she gathered his things, looking for some form of identification. She left him in his uniform, yet she coated his chest in a ring of the porous buoyant stone, softly she lifted and carried him into the water, setting him adrift as the tide carried him out. The sharks that surrounded the island would take care of the rest. With her business completed, Hiko began her slow journey back across the island, moving to gather some of Abyssal’s magma for a snack later. [EXIT] |

There was never a chance to respond to those that kept up the attack or even said anything. While still fused they were lifted up, but glowing. They Rosa had lost track of how much time they had, Negan likely doing the same. As they landed on the ship the two were fully separated. The white-haired girl's head was spinning. Sitting up, Rosa realized what had just happened. Mercutio had thrown them away. He was finally done with them. No... if he wanted to kill you it could have been any time. Is this a chance to really leave? But these people will just arrest you. You can't go, not with them. Rosa could see her brother was already making his way off the boat. With nowhere else to go and not wanting to be grabbed the girl followed after Negan. Once she reached the edge the girl climbed over whatever railing there was and dropped to the ground. With her quirk the girl didn't care about having a graceful landing, she just wanted off the boat. All she wanted was for others to not be taken away from the lives they lived like what had happened to her and most of the people on Elysium. They didn't have a choice about what happened in Africa. Negan spoke about them needing to learn more, but Rosa wasn't sure if Mercutio was the best person to take guidance from. He was strong, but it was his fault their parents were dead. She couldn't say she hated the man though. From what Rosa could tell, he really did want the best for them. He brought their home, gave them a chance to leave, kept them safe. The girl just couldn't understand why. Why would he do so much and act in such different ways? Then she remembered the word Mercutio lived by. Balance. Rosa looked back to the ground, only at that point realizing she had been crying. After wiping the tears away, she pushed herself up to stand. No more crying. No more being afraid. In the loudest voice she could muster, Rosa shouted "Elysium is our home and I don't wanna lose another one!" Summary & Stats |

A heavy but very familiar crimson energy started to envelope the far beaches of the island, and it made the sprinting sorceress stumble a little while she ran. “Oh, fuck off…” She breathed, teeth clenched as she looked back over her shoulder at her boyfriend as he graced everybody with his presence. He seemed to be holding that crazy bitch in his arms, too. He hadn’t killed her? Pathetic. She kept running with everything she had, with such fervour that she pressed down too hard with her feet and sank down a little. With a less-than spectacular stumble, she took a knee in the sand while clutching at her wizard’s staff and glowering at the Vitality bastards. Now that Mercutio was here, she knew that all attempts of a fight would be extinguished in half a second flat. Alana grimaced at this realisation, deep-seated anger burning within her as her rainbow flames blazed all around in its orbs. Her body visibly tensed and she didn’t look at her lover when he landed beside her, speaking of these bastards being a message. Comments of no longer needing to hide entered her ears but she didn’t pay much mind to them, instead hearing the comment of God’s mercy loud and clear. Her free hand clenched into a fist in the sand with the voicing of that sentiment, mouth contorted in a deep scowl. “No.” She stated firmly, getting to her feet with the assistance of her staff and turning away from Mercutio in the same motion, raising a hand to push away his hand as he attempted to grab hold of her; hold her like she was some cute toy to carry around. “You’re the God. The rest of us are nothing.” She walked her own way back to the mass of Elysians, head bowed and hand gripping tight at her staff the whole way. The rest of the words exchanged weren’t heard by Adrestia’s fiery General as she stalked away from everybody, right to the back of where people were gathered. She didn’t need to hear about all of this mercy, of them giving the invading side a free pass to leave. They deserved nothing except death as the weaker party, and here they were, sending them off with smiles and waves. And what for? To be the bigger people? Did everybody magically forget about the fact that their home had been invaded by Vitality, and then by that void-slinging bitch? Alana pulled down the brim of her sorcerer’s hat and made it very obvious that she didn’t wish to be talked to, simply waiting for the big charade of meaningless mercy to play out before she took her leave of the sickening show. What even were dreams and wishes? Did she have any? Her mind was cast back over many an ocean and sea, to the place where she was born and abandoned in an orphanage. Oh, she had a dream alright. And it didn’t involve anybody except her. [Exit] |

Mairu looked up slightly as Hiko showed off her newly found trinket from her fight, the boy's love of machines and gadgets held back some by the heavy atmosphere of the last dredges of the fight. He gave her a weak smile, glad that there was a positive sentiment from the girl towards him, his reputation as a gadgeteer on the island seemingly preceding him yet he couldn't truly bring himself to muster a proper show of joy. They'd won the fight, well and true if the bits and pieces he'd heard from the discussion by the boat were anything to go by, but he couldn't help but feel that they'd lost something in this fight as well. In spite of Mercutio's promises and declarations, the boy couldn't help but feel that things simply weren't as safe as they were before, like another attack could come at any time. The fox boy didn't know the full story behind all of this, but he was sure that in the days to come, answers would bubble to the surface... and he was no longer sure if he wanted that knowledge. After all, there was always the chance that they were actually the bad guys, right? Looking around to see people who'd fought tooth and nail, some even giving their lives, for this small island nation Mairu could only shake his head in self-disagreement. No, there was no way they were the bad guys, no way at all! Walking a bit forward, mostly just glad the fighting was over, the fox boy nervously tapped Artemis' shoulder again, fearing she was mad at him still for whatever he'd done. Standing there, the tyke scratched the back of his head, mumbling out a few words as he tried to keep himself together. "Uhm... I just wanted to say... that, um..." Finally, unable to keep the dam from breaking, Mairu started to feel hot streams travel down his cheeks, the emotions he'd kept at bay during the course of the fight bursting forth as he lost himself for a moment and wrapped the dragon in a tight hug. "I'm really glad you're alive," the boy declared, giving a quick squeeze before he let her go, knowing she didn't like being carried around all too much. Wiping away some tears, the boy's tired feet met the sand once more, this time aiming to get back to the mansion, and back to bed. It had been a very long night. [Exit] Summary

Mordred sighed as it was finally over. He opted not to fully drop his guard until the enemy was out of sight on their boat. He would watch on the shore even if it meant meeting the morning sun. Turning, he would keep his distance from the children. The gecko-man became unsightly when the fighting was over. As Mordred trudged through the sands with plenty of space and time to think, his spines and extra layers of protective flesh began to shed and fall from his body in pale chunks. Blood occasionally tricked visibly and once the pale flesh underneath was revealed, the bruises and injuries of war were more apparent. This battle had actually done little to him compared to previous encounters, but he still weathered blows here that were greater than most of what he'd experience up to this point. Once fully shed and exposed he would wade into shallow water to wash wounds and ensure all the dirt and bloody was rinsed away. It also offered him a moment to cool down and consider his thoughts on the day's events. He wasn't a hero and it wasn't in the cards for him to play at one, but something about sparing his enemies and allowing the others to change things with words was more refreshing than all the blood and pain and desperation he was used to. Walking back, he did not wear much besides some ragged pants, but he picked up his Adrestrian coat from the sands and donned it as he walked back. Smelling of the sea and smoke, he reentered the town that was coming alive with the rising sun. However, for the gecko-man it was time for bed. There would be time enough to consider the aftermath and next steps at a later time. WISH wasn't going anywhere... [exit] |

To the delight of Artemis, both Hiko and Lyra seemed to know sign language. The girl was visibly ecstatic, her vague annoyance at some random woman that she had never seen before vanishing in sight of two potential friends who already understood how the orphan 'spoke'. It did get tiresome having to remember to take out her paper and pens. Not to mention that in cases such as this, where Artie forgot to wear her harness, she was without that mode of communication. Unfortunately for the little dragon, however, it seemed like her two potential new friends had other things to do. The stone girl wandered off after showing off her treasure, maybe to find some more among the bodies of the fallen. And for some reason unknown to Artie, Lyra just collapsed on the ground. The girl wandered closer to the fallen woman, worried. But the injured one seemed to be breathing, just unconscious. 'Don't want her to breathe in sand' Artemis thought as she carefully pulled sand away from Lyra's face, allowing the other to breathe more freely. A small tap on her shoulder made Artie turn around. Her worry only increased when she saw her friend's emotions displayed on his face. Mairu seemed upset about something but, before the little dragon could ask what it was exactly, she was swept up in a hug. A small peep of surprise escaped her lips. The orphan remained tensed, although she didn't struggle. This hug was technically the first she had received since the elections, and she didn't really know what to do. However Artemis relaxed as the fox revealed what was on his mind, and why exactly he was upset. "Of course I am alright! I would not let those bad men squish me" the little dragon signed once she was let go. Mairu's concern was appreciated as well as reciprocated. Artie gave a critical look up and down her friend, although she couldn't tell if he had managed to get another injury. "Remember to go to the goose if you are injured" the orphan reminded the fox before he left the group. With Gjoll and the other injured seemingly well tended by Eizen, Artemis felt alright with leaving them and wandering off on her own if she so wished. It wasn't like the little dragon could help much. They weren't items that needed to be repaired, so she was useless. As Artie wondered where she would go next, a large yawn split her mouth opened, reminding the girl that she had woken up early and participated in a fight, draining what energy she had. The orphan had covered her mouth as she yawned and, once done, just blinked up at everyone sleepily. 'Suppose I should go for a nap...' the girl realized. Not wanting to be rude though, she signed "Goodbye. See you later" to the conscious members of the group and, whether or not they'd understand, the wave from the sleepy dragon probably spoke volumes. Artemis turned around and trailed after Mairu, although she headed in the direction of her own little room. [Exit] summary

Manaia ignored everyone else as she walked. Her eyes solely focused on the beach ahead of her and the boat right in front. In the end, Manaia knew it in her heart. She regretted coming here, dragged into another confrontation she didn't entirely understand. Forces entirely beyond her control were at work. And she didn't like it, not one bit. This was supposed to be a simple fight. Fight to the death with nasty hardened criminals, come out on top as always, and grow even stronger. And yet, she was met with conflicting morals and beliefs. Potential corruption and various other fates. She looked down at Tapu still in her arms, letting out a soft sigh. Why did life have to be so complicated for the two of them? Once on the boat, Manaia immediately began to bark orders towards members of the crew. Maybe they weren't her sailors, but she fully expected them to listen to her none the less. Looking at the first one she saw, Manaia immediately spoke. "You. Get me a medic. This man has lost a lot of blood and his entire arm. If he dies, so help me..." There was a look of pure rage on her face. The energy in her eyes flaring up as if there was fire barely being contained within her sockets. She would figure this out, all by herself. At this point, she didn't know if WISH was still going to fulfill their promised hero licenses with the mission failing... but considering their number one hero failed so intensely, it would seem they would be in need of more heroes to fill the team. It wasn't as if Chameleon was going to speak against her staying either. She saved his life. It would be interesting to learn what happened once she got back. But for now... She held Tapu in her arms just a bit gentler. Her soldier needed her attention. "Where is that medic, dammit! Hop to it." [EXIT] Summary LP, Stats, Techniques & EP's

Everything was going according to plan. Despite the demonic Vitality's threats, it seemed as if the pink physician had managed to sneak his hand into the former leader of Vitality. All he now needed to do was simply pop the seal, let off a bang, and then- Leroy's thoughts were soon cut short, the mild mannered medic no longer grasping murder, but now grasping air time. He was quite perplexed at who had actually managed to fling him dozens of meters away, having previously thought to be invulnerable to such unforeseen movements. These inquiries were swiftly answered, Leroy slightly wincing as Mercutio called him a "silly fuck." He had often told Mercutio his disdain for such language, although the realization of "collateral kindness" quickly left him feeling as if such profanities were deserved. It was beyond him how Mercutio knew what he had planned on doing, but the man was a thousand years his senior. Perhaps such a life has made him immune to such cheap tricks. After making the quick float back towards the others, the goose would simply nod along as he was instructed by Mercutio. While he wasn't exactly thrilled with being the nanny to such a cretin, the company would be nice after the morning's events. Besides, surely there was more to her than what he had witnessed this morning. No one was truly such a irredeemable monster, right? "Well me and the misses ain't exactly seein' eye tuh eye right now, so Miss Abysser outta have all the room she'll need. " The country-fried poltergeist would turn towards Ezra, the man assumably giving away possession of his paralyzed leader. Given the stunt he had pulled, it wasn't hard to see why the man didn't exactly trust the goose. However, it didn't seem like the man had such luxury, given Mercutio's plans for around the clock healing. The man, understandably angry, had a few choice words for Leroy. The only thing that left him perplexed was the man's encouragement to learn English. Such a suggestion was quite odd, as Leroy had been speaking fluent English all this time. Given his earlier days as a glorified Ted Talk subject, he was exposed to a multitude of languages. His overtly kind disposition (and a smidgen of subtle quirk usage) had left Leroy awfully friendly with the scientists that displayed them. Despite his humble disposition and lack of social awareness, the bumpkin was surprisingly educated. I'm er, speakin' English right now. Fact, I speak 'bout six diff'rent languages. Looks like yuh got knocked 'round a bit too hard, uh-honk-honk-honk. The goose would give off a hearty chuckle, obviously unaware of the insulting intention of Ezra's comments. Unsurprisingly, a bunch of scientists weren't exactly the greatest at explaining "social interaction" to the developing goose. "But don't you worry none, cause 'long as Big Red wants her breathin' she's in the best uh care. Round the clock quirk healin', no need tuh worry. If'n someone can move 'er to the hospital, that'd be mighty kind of yuh. Leroy would then float off towards the smoldering wreckage that was previously his home, hopefully with Abyssal in tow. It hadn’t occurred to Gjöll that Lyra was unaware of the extent of her own injury. From his perspective, The limp sleeve of her cloak seem to obviously give away that her arm was gone or nearly so. Her response to seeing her missing arm upon removing her cloak was one of utter shock. Her body itself, or at least her arm seemed to be made completely of paper. Apparently this too was a new development to her as well as the girl seemed to lose consciousness, which he assumed was due to the shock. Luckily for her Artemis cleared away the sand near her face so she could breath. As he watched the small exchange between Artemis and Mairu, he couldn’t help feel glad that the two of them had appeared to become friends. Both of them seemed to have been fairly lonely during his previous encounters with them. While that life was suitable for some people, it should not be one that was forced on those who were so young. She would give a small wave back to the tiny dragon as she signed her farewell, her intention very clear from the signs of exhaustion and her body language. For the first time since the beginning of the fight he would look around area to see the true extent of the damage. It was a bit staggering. In just her first two actions, Abyssal had managed to severely damage the Hospital and carve the island up with walls of lava rock. Sure Elysium wasn’t as technologically advanced as most modern countries, but it would likely still take weeks if not months before they were finished cleaning up this mess. For now he would just have to wait for Eizen to finish healing him before he was able to do anything. [EXIT] |

So much had happened while Eizen had dedicated himself to the reconstruction of Gjoll's arm. He'd blocked out most of the surrounding events in order to keep as focused as possible, but at one point his attention was drawn to Mercutio. He watched as he apparently brought someone who had been dead back to life, went over and did stuff with the invaders, and by the looks of it, sent them off. There were probably factors that Eizen didn't quite understand, and he'd have to ask Mercutio about it later, but for now, his single duty was to fix Gjoll. Returning his attention to the injured man, Eizen would restart the healing process, letting his quirk do what it could. After a bit, Eizen's hands would start to become sore... something he had learned in the past meant he was approaching his limit. He'd push himself as hard as he could in order to heal as much of the older boy's arm as he could, but eventually, the pain in his hands would just become too much for him to bear, and he'd be forced to let go. Looking down at the arm, Eizen was proud that it looked much better then it had when he had started... though the hand was still a issue beyond him at the moment. "Sorry I... can't do more then that for now, but this is... this is my limit. Anymore and it feels like my hands will blow apart, and I'd rather not see if that will actually happen or not. I hope it helps you for now... If you need more help, I can help you, especially with your hand, but for now, I can't do anymore... Sorry." With that, Eizen would leave joll behind and make his way back to the mansion, doing his best to ignore his sore hands. That had probably been the longest length of time he'd used his quirk for continuously, and while he was proud of it, he felt he could do better. Once he arrived back at the mansion, he'd return to his room and collapse on his bed, sleep quickly overtaking him. [EXIT] Summary Technique Upkept/Used LP
