Coming behind Artemis, Mairu took a moment to realize what the dragon was actually saying to him, no notes this time. Instead of asking for some repitition, the fox took a moment to think through the words and was barely able to scrawl the motions for "bucket" and "cloaks" from the recesses of his mind. Snapping his fingers, the boy nodded, hurrying to the task of submerging the remainder of the pieces of clothing into the container. While removing his gloves, not wishing to get them messed up with paint, the fox created a production line of sorts with six limbs, grabbing three cloaks at a time with an arm and two tails on one side and doing the same on the opposite side after they'd been dipped in. His furry appendages were fine to get dirtied at this point, he supposed, already a rightly colored mess. Nefertum's words gathered the boy's attention as he did this, nodding along to the man's words, having his fair share of experiences with both sides of the spectrum in terms of how people used their quirks. Wincing as the man increased the strength with which he hit the nails in, Mairu only had one disagreement to the man's claims, stating, "Nah, I think mine is pretty ordinary. I think it'd be cooler to fly or be able to make stuff like magic..." The tyke would nod his head in the respective directions of Artemis and Nefertum as he said this. Build Progress

It took Artemis a few seconds to realize that she had just used sign language to communicate to Mairu. Before the little dragon could find a way to apologized her friend nodded and sprung into action. She couldn't help but feel proud at the fact that he understood. The fuzzy emotion was nice and Artie looked happy, although she couldn't and didn't even try to smile. With the fox working on the cloaks, the orphan finished collecting up her little clouds. She stuffed them into a side pocket so that she'd have her paws free and jumped onto the table to move out of the way of her friend. While he was working, Nefertum went on a bit of a tangent about quirks. To begin with the little dragon thought that his words were rather inspiring. However as he begun to talk about villains and repenting, the girl clearly got a bit more distressed. His final words of "can barely wait to see what you guys do with them" felt ominous to the child. Trying to place the unsettling thoughts out of her head, Artie glided over and begun to lay the clouds out to dry. With the little dragon working it didn't take her too long to get everything set up. She then paused, looking with calculating eyes at the wet fabric. Not wanting to sit still, especially if it meant being close to Nefertum while she was still unnerved, the little dragon began to scurry around the room, exploring it more thoroughly. Soon the girl found exactly what she was looking for and dragged it over to the drying rack. It was a dryer, air powered, to help speed up the process. She tried to pull it over to the rack with her mouth gently clasped on the cord, however it was very slow going, with the metal making a loud scraping sound every time the creature tugged. |

Nefertum listened to Mairu and his smile went away, he didn't like hearing people complain about their quirk on the other hand he also didn't like it when people praised their own quirk so much that they think it makes them better than everyone else. His flinched when he heard a scraping noise, Nefertum turned to see Artemis dragging an air powered dryer across the floor. He walked over to the heater she was dragging and quietly tried to lift it slightly so it would drag and make the noise but he was also trying to give Artemis a slight confidence booster as he hoped she would think that she was getting stronger and able to pull it with less effort. |

Well, that was the last of the cloaks, the boy having run through the whole dying sequence that left their work as black as could be, the child's fur covered in a few black sploches but he was otherwise no worse for ware. Taking the cloaks to the drying rack, Mairu made sure to space them out and that one cloak wasn't dripping on the other. Once Artemis had brought over the dryer with Nefertum's help, the boy sought it appropriate to laze around while the cloaks dried. Spending the necessary time simply exploring the room, fiddling with a few lines of code or playfully pestering Artemis with a few prods and pokes he doubted she'd expect, the fox made sure to wait until the last patch of cloud was sewn on. Once that was done, Mairu returned to his computer, stating out loud, "And here... we... go!" The boy hit the enter key and the cloaks all jumped on the rack with a great flourish, straightening out for a second before going limp once more, now having reached a permanent state that neither boiling lava nor acid rain could permanently harm. Of course, a good technician always checked their work... "So..." Mairu started, brandishing his claws with perhaps a bit too much glee, a grin matching his excitement at the prospect of a little violent play. "Who wants to try first?" Build Progress

Nefertum's help didn't go unnoticed by the little dragon. The sudden ease of tugging the dryer to where Artemis wanted it to go wasn't at all puzzling. What was was the fact that Nefertum was helping the dragon by lifting it up slightly, rather than entirely taking the weight and moving it over to the drying rack. She thought on the puzzle while she moved it into place and finally decided that it was because the older man didn't know exactly where the child wanted it placed. Whether or not that was the proper answer, Artie just shrugged it off. It wasn't that important a question anyway, and she couldn't be bothered jumping up to the table to grab her writing utensils to ask. With the help of the adult Artemis managed to get the dryer set up in no time. A nearby power port was used, which the little dragon couldn't help but feel slightly envious about. Putting that out of her mind, the orphan first tested the air that was being blown through to make sure that it was cold and, when satisfied with the temperature, set it up so that it'd blow gently over all of the cloth. The extra help should make the clothes dry faster, reducing the group's waiting time. While they were all waiting, the orphan decided to play with some scraps of fabric and the sewing machine. The machine had different settings for different patterns. Some of them zigzagged, some of them formed a square. The numerous settings were a joy for the little dragon, who quite often had to settle for using her own paws and quite often stabbing them with the needle. Once she felt like the clothes had had enough time to dry, Artemis went over and started to touch some of the cloth. It seemed like they were ready for the next step, so she collected the red clouds and the black cloaks, putting them onto the table next to the machine. If one of the two decided to help the little dragon gladly accepted it, especially with the bulkier items. When everything was present the girl set up the sewing machine again with white thread and a close stitch, her previous play around making the job much quicker. Within moments all of the cloaks were done. After the first few prods Artie just ignored her friend, letting him fool around while she finished her work. The finished product was passed from the dragon to the fox for their coding, which was completed even quicker than the sewing. When all of that was done Mairu seemed gleeful at testing out the cloaks, however Artemis was a bit apathetic about it. She knew that her work was good. Not to mention the orphan would much prefer to watch the process. When everyone had finished their fun, Artie had decided that it was time to head back to her 'home'. Their job was done and after doing enough work to make her fingers ache, all the girl wanted to do was to curl up on bed and rest. Or take a walk down the beach. Which ever the little dragon decided to do, she collected her things and wrote a cheerful goodbye to her new friends. Hopefully without them noticing, she also stuffed a few scraps of the cut up fabric into one of her pockets as well. With goodbyes said and promises to meet up later, Artemis hopped off of the bench and wandered off. [Exit] |

Seeing as Artemis had chosen to skip her turn, the boy could only shrug his shoulders before he chose to spring at the opportunity, slashing away at the cloaks as they hung and his claws piercing through the material like a hot knife to butter. A satisfying tearing noise filled the room as Mairu ripped the clothes to shreds much like one would expect a cat when they came across a particularly nice couch. The key difference in this case, however, was the fact that the material slowly stitched itself back up almost as soon as they met with damage, the robes lasting longer than Mairu's stamina as he came to a halt with a few huffs and puffs and a small smile on his face. It had taken some work, but they'd done it. Catching his breath, and seeing Artemis head for the door, Mairu gave her a friendly wave before he turned back to see what destruction Nefertum could bring. Once the man had had his own fun, if he so chose, the fox would state, "Well, I think they're just about done! Thanks for your help Neffie! Imma go see if I can find Mercutio and show it off!" Wit that, the fox grabbed the cloak fitted to the crimson man's size and dashed out the room, a look of pride and enthusiasm on his cheeks as he held their combined effort in his hands. This was sure to turn at least a few heads! [Exit] Build Progress

Nefertum now watched the two in silence, not judging them or anything but just simply watching. He watched the little dragon sew to her heart's content and the tall fox boy... well he was having his own fun. With the robes sewn he look at Artemis as she moved out of the room gesturing towards the both of them, but his ear twitched when he heard what Mairu had called him. Nefertum looked down and bared his teeth light in slight irritation, however he shrugged it off after he once again heard Mercutio's name. With how this kid talked about him and how Artemis seemed to have a strong distaste for the name... Nefertum knew he had to someday meet this man and ask him some questions. He waited for Mairu to leave before he reached into his flesh pocket. "Melee weapons of Egypt..." He spoke to himself and pulled out a 1.3 Meter long, light brown for most of but about 15 centimeters at one end was black, rattan wood staff 3.81 centimeters thick. The wooden staff had one continues rope tied to both end, while using this rope he swung it over his left shoulder and over his head, resting on his right shoulder. He stood there in the empty room for a second before stepping through the threshold and closing the door behind him. He exited the building, his feet meeting the warm sand, he inhaled deeply and began to walk the island. [Exit] Melee Weapons of Egypt
