"Lots and lots of practice! I got to read a lot of books growin up," The boy replied to Nefertum before he walked over to the sink to complete his bucket escapades. While there was a pause in the dragon's answer to his query, the boy did receive his answer as simply "warm". While he would have liked an answer with a bit more certainty behind it, he could only shrug his shoulders as he went along with the girl's instructions.

Placing the dye buckets in the sink, the boy looked up at his newest friends as he asked if there was anything he could do to help. Tapping his foot and putting his hand to his chin as he mulled over a job for the man. Snapping his fingers and ears perking up, the tyke declared, "You can be Senior Bucket Manager! We'll probably need at least another two pales for this many robes, so if you can fill these up with warm water, and then get some more, it'd help a bunch!"

Answer given, the boy left the task in the hands of Nefertum and returned to the work bench to check on the data uploads process. It looked like things were just about done, the fox boy taking the singular plugged in fiber and putting it with the rest, now just needing to press the activation key for when all was said and done.

With Mairu keeping Nefertum occupied, the little orphan quickly completed the rest of the sewing. She then grabbed the scissors and snipped the dangly bits of thread off of the cloaks. The work place around Artemis was starting to look more and more chaotic, with scraps of paper and small thread everywhere. The dye from the two children's play fight beforehand peppered everything with colour.

The black dragon looked with pride at her completed work. The cloaks were still inside-out, but that didn't really matter much with the dying stage. She placed them all in a pile together and nudged them closer and closer to her friend. The move was a bit awkward for the four legged creature, but she wanted to make things easier for Mairu.

When the cloaks were as close to the two without actually falling off of the bench, Artie turned back and went to the pile of scraps. 'Suppose I should get started on those clouds' The little dragon thought. She vaguely remember her friend saying that the cloaks had to have red clouds on them and dying cut outs to quickly sew on would be easier than trying to dye the pattern on. There was plenty of scraps to work with and Artemis soon had a pile of cloud cutouts that grew by the second.

Nefertum nodded and took the buckets from Mairu, He turned to the faucet and looked at the faucet. He decided to test if he needed to turn on both the hot and cold water to create warm water for the dyes. Nefertum turned on the hot water a little to test the temperature, after a while he ran his hand under the water and immediately pulled his hand out as it was very hot. He shakes his hand and blows on it cooling it, he had no burns thank goodness. He continued to fiddle with the handles on the faucet until he had the right temperature, once he did, Nefertum grabbed one of the buckets on and placed it under the running water waiting for it to fill.

Glad to see that Nefertum was being a helping hand, Mairu wondered what to help with next. Artemis had the cloaks and clouds covered, so the boy got to work on a few finishing touches. While Mairu wasn't exactly an expert on sewing and knitting and the like, he knew his way around some cloth, and he also figured that members of Mercutio's super secret club also came in more sizes than one.

Sitting down with a pencil and some paper, the boy tapped his chin and did his best to remember the people's sizes, from what he'd purely seen. It took a little bit of thought and a few glances back and forth between the cloaks and himself, but eventually the fox boy had about eyeballed it down to what were some fairly close numbers he'd figured.

Walking over to the bundle of cloaks, Mairu alerted the dragon with a tap on the shoulder and explained, "I think I've got everyone's sizes down. I'm just gonna scale them a bit." He figured Artemis would be understanding of his goal, but he didn't want to just sit down and start shredding and pulling without explanation. Looking down though, he guessed about maybe four or five alone were really worth the effort.

Grabbing himself some scissors and extra thread, the boy got comfortable on the floor, starting his work as a thought sprung to his mind. Calling out, Mairu questioned, "Hey Neffie, what do you like to do for fun? Adult stuff usually looks so boring, I kinda wanna know what's so great about drinkin weird smelly stuff and watchin' sports games to get mad."

Artemis was in the middle of cutting one of the clouds when her friend wandered over. The little dragon paused, contemplating what Mairu had said. She hadn't even figured in the fact that the cloaks may be too long or too short for some of the members. She wasn't given measurements to begin with, so had just charged forward. Artie nodded to the fox, letting him go off and alter the clothes to better fit those that she had no idea about.

The question that was asked of the older man made the creature snort a bit with amusement. Other people's hobbies could be interesting, sure, and sometimes adults did do interesting things. But usually they only liked to talk about their work, or responsibility. 'Speaking of responsibility....' With basically everything sewn, it was time to dye it all. Artemis moved over to the pots of dye and slipped the two that she had set aside for Mairu into the pockets in her harness. She then leapt off of the work bench and snapped her wings opened to glide silently over to Nefertum.

Once near the adult, the little dragon would check on the status of the buckets. When they were fill, she'd tip what she felt like was the right amount of dye into each barrel; one red, one black. A stirring stick was found nearby and Artemis set to work mixing the dye up with the water, balanced on the edge of the sink with her wings opened. If needed, she'd add a bit more powder to the mixture until satisfied. Once done with that, the little dragon glided back to the bench and picked up the numerous clouds that she had cut out. She stuffed her pockets filled with them, only to return back to the sink and buckets to drop the bits of material into the red vat. Artemis was careful to not let any of the dye touch her feathers, not keen on getting any more of the horrid colour on her.

Nefertum stood there waiting for the buckets to fill, listening to the two of them having their conversation. Hearing Mairu's question towards Artemis, he scoffed just slightly, watching sports and drinking was not all that adults and Mairu probably knew it but was just being himself. However Nefertum couldn't help but think to himself about how good a stiff drink sounded to him at that pount. Nefertum looked at Artemis, with no real expression, as she stirred the dye and flew back and forth with the clouds. He spoke "Artemis, if you wish I could just take the buckets of dye to the table?"

It looked like Nefertum wasn't too keen on answering Mairu's question, the boy figuring it was one of those "when you're older" kind of things, much like the mystery that surrounded whatever cup sizes were... Yet, that was a problem to be solved another time, the boy having resized a majority of the cloaks to what he figured to be the right sizes for the members of Merc's secret club.

The boy's ears sprang up momentarily as Nefertum talked to Artemis, before his attention went back to cutting and sewing, the task mundane, but important he supposed nonetheless. Wouldn't want someone tripping over their sleeves...

The little dragon looked down at the red liquid as Nefertum proposed his solution to the little dragon popping back and forward between the sink. Artemis then slowly looked up at the older man and blinked slowly, as if she didn't quite understand what he had said. A thoughtful look them crossed her face, arctic eyes glazed over and directed to the distance as the girl turned her thoughts inwards.

After having a small time to think, Artie leaped back to the table to grab her writing materials. She quickly scribbled on it before she turned around the answer Nefertum's question. "We have to rinse the fabric of excess dye. Less mess if we keep it all in the sink." While the previous dye fight between the two children showed that the orphan didn't mind getting numerous colours on her, she wasn't really enthused about the two colours that they were using. In most lights, the creature looked black as it was, and she loathed red.

With the thoughts turning back to red, the kid leaped back over to the sink, her wings utterly silent as they cut through the air. Artemis grabbed a metal rod that lay by the taps and started to swirl the fabrics in the liquid. She hated the colour, but that doesn't mean that the orphan would let herself do a bad job. She had her pride, after all. Once Artie thought enough time had passed, she turned on the tap, having the water be warm. She then started to fish out bits of clouds with the metal rod, rinsing them under the flowing liquid until the water ran clear. Once the clouds were dyed and rinsed, they'd be draped over the side of the sink while the little dragon moved onto the other bits.

Nefertum read what the little dragon had wrote on nodded, he looked around the room and scratched his head. He then turned to Mairu and asked "We will have to dry the clouds Artemis is dying, have you seen a drying rack anywhere?" Nefertum walked the room one more time to make sure he didn't miss it. Once he was done he then turned to Mairu once more "I can't one any where."

Nefertum caught something out the corner of his eye and walked over to it. In the corner of the room was 2X4's and wooden rods, on the ground in a box next to the wood was a box of nails. However he notice that there was no hammer to found but he could easily make one with his quirk, even though he had not eaten he felt confident enough that creating a small hammer would be no issue. "If need be I can make us a drying rack, I would only have to create a hammer"

Mairu's impromptu sewing job saw a small interruption in the form of Nefertum declaring they'd need a space to hang up the cloaks for drying, the boy nodding before his eyes scanned the room in a hurry. Finding the area bare as well, the fox got off his chair to help search for a bit before the man said he could build a rack if necessary. The boy had to do a double take when he heard the man say "make us a hammer" before realizing it was probably part of his quirk.

Smiling, the boy stated, "Sure thing! These should help though..." Mairu walked a small ways back to the desk before pulling out a bucket of nails for the man, hoping they would help. Truth be told, there should have been a hammer in the room somewhere, but the fox was more keen to see Nefertum's quirk in action.

Hopping back onto his stool, Mairu looked over his work and realized everything was just about done, getting back to the needle and thread as he wiled away on the last of the robes that needed resizing, his tongue sticking out as he focused on the delicate task.

Nefertum's statement that he would "only have to create a hammer" caught Artemis's attention as well. She looked at the other curiously, head tilted to the side. 'His quirk must be interesting!' the little girl thought as she finished fishing out the rest of the clouds. All of the pieces of fabric were now rinsed, hanging off the side of the sink until the drying rack was made.

With nothing to do, the orphan paused for a bit, looking between the bucket of black dye and the pile of clothes that Mairu had finished working with. With a leap, Artie was soon on the work bench. She gathered up one of the cloaks that her friend had altered and, holding it awkwardly to her chest, the little dragon managed to glide over to the sink with it. The fabric got submerged in the bucket with the black dye water. Like with the clouds, Artemis stirred it around with the stick, making sure to rinse it of red dye beforehand.

Nefertum gratefully took the bucket of nails from Mairu, and walked back where he had initially found the boards. He bent down to set the bucket of nails down next to the boards he had found just a moment ago, he leaned against the counter. He pulled down his tank top slightly so the top of his flesh pocket was showing, he took his right hand and placed it just above his flesh pocket but stopped before placing his hand inside. Nefertum then looked to the two children and spoke "Ready for this?"

Nefertum then reached inside his flesh pocket with his right hand, he then began to pull out a hammer, handle first. The dark wood grain slowly getting longer before, after roughly about 15 centimeters, the wood grain stopped and turned to a metal head with a round end on side and the other side the metal forked slightly to be able to remove old or unwanted things. He smiles and holds it up in the air like Jack, from Jack and Daxter, when he gets a power cell.

Nefertum smiles and holds it out showing off to Mairu and Artemis, "This basically my quirk, I can recreate anything that i have knowledge of inside my quirk organ but it can only be so wide because my skin around my quirk organ isn't very elastic.... yet." He chuckled to himself and then began to lay out the boards, with the thicker pieces on the outside and thinner pieces being the actually "racks".

Mairu gasped as Nefertum showed off his quirk, putting his hands to his cheeks as he observed. Highly impressed, the fox boy crossed his arms with a huff as he declared, "Lucky! All I can do is a bunch of fox stuff! Not even cool fox stuff! Just run fast and smell good!!" The huffing was, of course, only partly serious, and overall the boy was just envious of such a cool ability. He wished his quirk would let him do something big...

Work was practically done on the cloaks in terms of shaping, but Mairu felt like he was still missing something... A light bulb going off, the tyke ran back to the computer, grinning as he typed away. It was a small addition to the code, but one he was sure to get a kick out of should the time ever arise. Security was already tight on the signal the cloaks gave off themselves, but Mairu decided to add some more fun security to it, adding in a stream of coding for a small animation. Now, should someone attempt a hack, they'd be greeted by the 32-bit image of a fox icon and a dragon icon waving their fingers back and forth in disappointment.

Snickering to himself, the fox moved back to Artemis, eager to see her progress.

While she was stirring the dye into the coat, Artemis kept a close eye on Nefertum. She saw the elder reach into what the little dragon thought was a singlet and pull out a hammer. The entire thing seemed similar to a magic trick and delighted her. The orphan stopped stirring the coat for a second to clap happily. "That is a great quirk!" She signed.

With the drying rack now being constructed the little dragon pulled out the now black cloak. She dumped the sodden fabric in the sink and ran the tap to rinse the excess dye off. Seeing Mairu wander up, Artemis turned to him to sign "You can start putting the rest of the cloaks in the bucket." The metal stick remained in the bucket, ready to be used by either x-forms when the rest of the fabric were placed in.

Once the black cloak was fully rinsed, Artie awkward draped it inside the sink, ready for when Nefertum had finished his construction. The orphan than rinsed her paws and started to stack the red clouds for ease of movement. A small handle below her caught the little dragons interest and so she jumped down and opened up the cabinet underneath the sink. Mostly it had cleaning supplies, but there was a contained of pegs that Artemis pulled out, thinking that they'd be useful for the little clouds.

Nefertum smiled to himself softly to himself hearing the praise from Mairu and the clapping from Artemis, his smile went away when he heard himself criticize his own power. Nefertum inhaled then exhaled and spoke what seemed more serious than his his usual tone "No quirk is useless, we all have our purpose here on this Earth." After lining up all of the boards the way he wanted, he grabbed a few nails and held onto them with his lip, sticking the pointed end his mouth. This muffled his speak, "There are those who choose to use their quirk, while continuing normal lives. Then there are people who are born with outstanding quirks that they choose to be heroes, saving so many lives." He began to hammer nails into the boards locking them in place, as he removed nails mouth his speech began to return normal levels.

"But then there are those who choose to do neither of those two things, but instead use their crime for villianry..." His tone started to become even more serious and his hammer began to hit the heads of the nails a bit harder. "They use their quirks to rob people, hurt people... kill people..." He paused before the saying the last couple of words, his hammer struck the last nail, making the sound, that came from the metal striking the other metal, seem to flow out with a heavy feeling. "And those people shall to be given a choice by the righteous to either repent for their sins or face which ever god they choose." He stood up setting the hammer on the counter, then squatting down and grabbing the A-framed drying rack with five cross members on both on sides. Nefertum's voice returned to its normal state and he smiled softly as he looked at the two, and spoke "It is up to you which path you choose. Both of you have quirks having nice quirks. I can't wait to see what you do with them."

Their wooden drying was complete and ready for its first and probably only use.
