General Appearance: With a slightly elongated torso to accommodate her extra arms, and legs to match, she is taller than most. On top of this, Mari is well toned, bordering on bulky, bulky, giving her an intimidating appearance.
She has mid length red hair, which she usually has in a loose ponytail.

Clothing: On the whole, Mari prefers simple clothes. This is partially because of their practicality, but mostly stems from the need to modify all her clothes to accommodate her additional arms. They are easier to adapt that fancy designer clothes, and tend to last longer.

First and foremost, Mari likes to live. Freedom to pursue her goals is one of the most important things for her, wanting to take every opportunity possible – regardless of the risks. She tries her best to put her all into all her endeavours. Unfortunately, this can come off as overbearing, even rude. Let it not be said though, that she cannot take criticism… over time. A combination of being drilled into by her friends and parents on this shortcoming has made her more conscious of letting others get a word in, and putting their interests above hers; even if she still has a tendency to take over from time to time.
The inverse to this is that Mari hates to be confined – both physically and mentally. Spending lots of time in small spaces or unable to move around saps her productivity and can make her quite depressed. Also, if things become too routine, or she is restricted in what she can do, Mari tends to act out (becoming uncooperative and miserable.) Because of this, she isn’t the best team player when it comes to new people.

With that said, when she leads she shows great charisma and willingness to put in effort for the sake of the group. Mari isn’t particularly academically clever, often being slow to catch on with theoretical concepts, but when it comes to real problems, she is ace – applying a combination of curiosity and creativity to use what she knows (or can find out) to overcome an obstacle. Again though, she tends to fail at communicating these ideas to others, causing problems for group work.

As a person, Mari is well suited to her appearance. She is loud, lively, and not afraid to speak for what she believes in. Because of this, her desire to help others is well known to those around her. She strives to make sure that others are safe and happy, especially if they are down trodden in one way or another.

History:

History: Mari's home life is and always has been pleasant. Her American side comes from her father, who moved to Japan when he was 20. Despite having lived there for 30+ years, he still maintains his 'Americanisms', being very encouraging about Mari's yearning for adventure. Her mother is more held back, showing far more restraint about her daughter's feats, but is also very supportive and caring. The other notable family member is Mari's Grandfather on her mother's side. In his youth he was a pro hero - Strongman - not the greatest, but still not the worst. She loves listening to his stories, and a lot of what she wants to represent as a hero is taken from these ideas. Becoming a hero would not only be an opportunity to help others, but a way to repay for her good fortune and make her parents proud.

Mari's two most prominent hobbies are guitar and roller blading. She loves to make music, and enjoys nothing more than jamming out on her guitar. Her favourite is electric, but she can also play acoustic and base if the mood fits. Early in Junior High, Mari started a band but unfortunately it fell apart within a few months.
Roller blading became known to her first through practicality, as she wanted a way to travel quickly use her quirk where there were no tall buildings present. Her grandfather suggested hooking the ground and pulling to gain momentum - with wheels to keep her going. And from there, it developed.

She is very proficient with her quirks, having had her extra arms from birth, and her thread spinning ability from only a few years later. She will casually use it to grab things from across the room, or to perch in high spaces. When Mari is in a city area, with tall enough buildings, she will take any opportunities to climb and swing between them, enjoying the birds eye views and the rush of the wind in her hair.

She is currently seeking to prepare for the UA entrance exam, to pursue the career of a hero to inspire and help others.

Combat: In a head on fight, Mari likes to get up close and personal, using brute force to overwhelm her enemies. In a more dynamic, open fight however, she prefers to keep some distance, moving in to deal destructive blows before moving out again. Moving using her threads allows her to do this with ease.

Web of Justice - No binds until C rank

Simple Numbers - Can't have both offensive and defensive on a single tech. Normally you could make it an attempt to restrain them with this tech and leave them open for a second more offensive tech, but binds aren't allowed at D rank.
