Nia gave a stretch with a loud yawn as she took in the early morning air. He traveling brought her over to scotland this time. If she was honest, she didn't expect to find many strong fighters here. She didn't even here much news from the area at all. Quaint little trips where nice every now and again, Nia didn't have to try and fight something everywhere she went she supposed. Though she wanted to. A place this small would likely have an inn she could work at to save up some funds and get some grub. Likely let her stay the night also, which just meant she'd have to find somewhere to train while she was here.

After getting directions from some people she made her way over to what they were calling :"he pub" whatever that was, must of been another name for bar or inn. Though to Nia, it looked more like a big inn. She stepped inside and got a few looks from what she assumed was the regulars, but they welcomed her anyway. Sitting at the counter she made conversation with the pub owner, explaining her situation and arranging for work. It seemed people liked hearing traveler stories, and they agreed to let her work while she stayed in the area.

With that settled she needed to find a spot to train, she poked at her cheek as she stared out a window. She couldn't just start training in the middle of the road or in front of some establishment. It had to be private training, she felt that'd give better results since there would be no distractions.

"Ah got duh best sheep in the land, my prize possessions. Ah've won many a contest with em ya know?"

She happen to pick up a piece of conversation between two patrons. A farm didn't sound too bad a place to train, or a pasture. As long as the animals didn't disturb her, but she doubt a bunch of sheep would even want to come near her. She stood up and intruded the conversation. "Hey! Where is this farm of yours?" she asked, the man looking over with a brow raised. "See that big mountain there? You follow the trail and you find my pasture." Nia gave an abrupt "Thanks" and waved as she went off. "She probably wants to see muh prize winning sheep." he said with a smirk, inching back in seat. He might have been drunk, it was hard to tell.

Picture

Sure enough it was easy to find. Nia glanced around. It was perfect. Wide open space, and the sheep didn't mind her presence it seemed. Very calm she thought. Maybe it was just the region? She shrugged and began to jog in place, her quirk activating as it began to glow from it's pink to orange. "Let's see... what to do first." she mumbled to herself as her hair flowed freely, despite there only being a slight breeze.

"Remember, do anything stupid. And you'll be right back here with the rest of us." The guard said as he removed Jack's handcuffs and turned him loose. He had a short bus ride left in the very same prisoner transport that had taken him into the chameleon prison. It quietly took him to a quaint nearby town where he could presumably arrange transportation back to Japan.

He was left clutching a duffel bag with all of his worldly possessions inside. Most importantly, his treasured locket. Which he put on immediately, as well as his Robin Hood unform.... It had been so long since he'd last worn it. Why they'd even kindly cleaned off all of the blood from it. (Long story) He looked up to the wide open sky, took a deep breath of the fresh, nonsubteranian air. Before crouching down and doing a super mega ultra powered back flip. Taking him clean over the roof of he now leaving bus and indeed onto the roof of the bus station. "YAHOOO!" He cried out gloriously.

Later that day he'd already arranged his flight back to Japan, reaching out to some old friends to have a small cache of his stolen goods that he'd managed to seclude from the confiscation of the police. Why, he even had the very weapon he'd used in his final act of larceny back. Unfortunately, the battery was dead and it's charger was 'exotic' to say the least. Most certainly on his person.

Still, this left the still dangerous radical with quite a lot of time to think. Research, and as per usual there was only one thing worth researching to the grand thief. Wealth to be given to the poor. More specifically he was looking for options that were nearby, and that were exclusive to the country. He sure wasn't going back to Scotland after all, and he could swipe a handbag or a car wherever he was.

"Prized sheep to win twenty eight thousand pounds at stock show. Selling at over 370 pounds a pound." He read on an online article. Man, Jack thought. This currency was a problem to read. ANOTHER PROBLEM, much grander in scale. Was the enormous amount of money that was being wasted on 'the perfect sheep'. He knew that something had to be done, and thankfully the perfect sheep was only a short drive away...

It was one a clock when he performed the heist, barreling out of the VERY populated barn with a sheep on his shoulder and countless frightened onlookers screaming. The security tried to catch him but they just couldn't match the swiftness he possessed with his quirk. "Stop!" A guard bellowed, reaching out to grab him by his slightly golden locket which snapped immediately. "W-What?" Jack said, nearly collapsing as for the first time his quirk had been canceled out.

Thankfully, he was able to take the picture toting part of the locket and stuff it into his pocket. Kicking the guard over before emptying out a wheelburrow of hey and casting the fluffy beast inside. Now he sprinted through the rolling green pastures. On the lamb with a lamb in tow. He couldn't have been more happy. His smile touching the brim of his long nosed mask.

"Maybe I should work on my aim..." she mumbled to herself as she tried to figure what she should practice as the sheep calmly trotted around the gross around her. She decided that since she didn't have a target to practice on she'd train speed instead. She stretched, crouching down and twisting her hips, doing all sorts of various stretching techniques to avoid pulling something. She placed her fingers to the dirt and took a running stance. She'd run back and forth through the pasture and try to do it faster each time. She took a breath and sprinted off.

It didn't take long for her to collide into another man who was in a strange get up, running with sheep. She fell back, knocking one of the sheep down who hit the floor with a...bounce? The sheep bounced like a rubber ball. Once, twice, on the third time it smacked Nia in the face, knocking her flat on her back and bouncing over to Jack, from there it bounced into another sheep, who then bounced into more sheep. The sheep camly gave a "baa" occasionally as if this was a regular thing.

Nia crawled back up to her feet, rubbing her head as she got beaten up by a bouncing sheep. "Some kinda quirk?" she mumbled to herself as she rubbed her head. She looked over at the other individual and tilted her head. He was weird looking she thought. But that was part of the fun of traveling, all the strange people you meet. "What are you doing?" she asked without bothering to introduce herself as it slipped her mind.

She hadn't notice he was running with sheep, and was too naive to expect him of wrongdoing immediately.

Jack Threedle had dashed off so fast into the countryside with all of his caution directed firmly behind him. He was nearly falling over in the first place, sprinting over ground he couldn't see with his head turned as far back as he could manage. Then, the unthinkable happened. "Bahhhh!" He heard before the immediate sounds of a tiny car wreck of sorts as grazing sheep went everywhere and Jack found himself face planted into the ground.

He yanked himself upwards without fail, taking off his mask to bash at it's side to empty out the nose of the fresh earthy soil. The thief was alarmed, scooping his now uncooperative captive back into the weelburrow with no small amount of effort. For a minute he was left panting, holding up a finger as if to ask for a moment to the young womans question while he cought himself to properly address her.

"I am a cunning thief and the blade of the poor. My work is sacred and can be done only by me alone." He recites in English. Getting up on a fallen sheep like a soap box. "I am liberating this prized sheep from the chains of capitalism, so she may be sold into a new market of freedom. Her prior master was affluent as he was selfish, madam I deplore you to side with good.
And let me escape in my victimless crime unabated.
" Jack asks with surprising respect. He'd casually step off of his fluffy white pedestal before helping it up and awaiting her answer. An honorable thief, he wouldn't just run away from a lady...

The sheep wiggled and gave a gentle "baa" as the man stood on it. It didn't seem to actually care about the situation. These sheeps were weirdly calm. Nia dusted herself off as the other introduced himself. Cunning thief and blade of the poor? Nia wasn't sure what he was talking about, but it sounded like he knew how to fight! Nia's eyes widen with excitement upon hearing this, her cross pupils having a small twinkle. This was the last place she expected to find an exoctic warrior! Scotland wasn't so boring after all! Despite the man not being from the area and their meeting being entirely coincidental.

Despite how foolish it was to admit to someone that you were a thief, Nia was equally as foolish as she entirely overlooked that part, or just ignored it. That wasn't her concern. Her main concern was having someone to spar with, perhaps even learning new moves! "That's awesome!" she exclaimed as the sheep under Jack gave a little wiggle of it's legs. It wanted to get up but didn't care enough to try too hard for it.

"Yeah, yeah chains whatever hey listen!" Nia nodded along as he spoke but largely just disregarded what he had to say. "You've probably seen some action uhu? Had some battles?" she smiled at the other as she hoped for a yes. "So whadaya say about showing me some stuff? Sparring with me? Hu? Hu?" she was practically begging, the girl not wanting to miss a chance like this!

Baa the sheep went in the back.

Robin Hood was the least bit surprised at the young woman's... Quirky demeanor. For a moment he tried to think about weather or not he'd ever been asked to fight in such a polight way before. His brain returned a resounding no. This was actually a bit of a pleasant surprise. Sure, he knew that he liked getting into the thick of combat when his idealism was questioned and he had to put his own convictions to the test. But, sparing?

Why, he'd never had somebody that actually wanted to train with him before. The more he thought about it, a good spar against an honorable opponent would be the perfect way to make sure that he still had it after three long months on the inside. Resting his fists on his hips in a heroic pose he would declare. "Of course I will for a beautiful woman, maby after I beat you. You'll care to come and learn some more?" He'd ask, tightening his gloves.

If Jack could possibly make an ally out of her it'd be a big deal for his career. Not to mention having somebody that could actually fight on his side rather than a half starved homeless boy could also be of interest... But he was getting far too ahead of himself! Who knew what this woman was capable of, what if her quirk was something he'd have no answer against? His own golden charm had broken, leaving him much weaker than normal. "I name the competition a quirkless bout milady. Take the first blow." Jack would say, heavily anticipating a punch as he got into his fighting stance.

Nia didn't give much attention to the compliment. Someone's physical appearance had little bearing on their combat ability, she knew this. Some of the more dangerous people were the unimposing ones, as they usually caused someone to lower their guard. Nia made it a habit to take everyone she met who was willing to fight seriously. No matter how ridiculous they acted or dressed! But by the sound of it, it seemed he was agreeing to Nia's request which was great for her. She put both her hands up, bouncing in place, a stance she use regularly to keep a consistent flow of energy into her hair on top of the practical use of constantly moving when against an opponent.

She took a swing, shifting the momentum stored in her hair behind her fist to deliver a stronger punch until she heard him say a quirkless bout. That took the girl by surprise, she stopped herself in her tracks to completely cut off the momentum of her punch, losing balance a bit as she stumbled. "H-huh? Quirkless?" she tilted her head, grabbing her chin a bit as she had to think really quick. Her combat didn't change much at all without her quirk if she was honest. She didn't train much with it, which was something she was working on during her journey. She'd just have weaker punches and kicks was all, unable to throw the momentum in her hair behind them. She figured that'd be fine for a spar however.

She nodded, giving a thumbs up. "Okay, quirkless it is!" She took her stance once more, bouncing in rhythm to take her combat stance until suddenly shifting her momentum forward in a dash to take a punch at the other man, though she didn't use the extra energy from her hair to do so, as she'd keep her word of keeping the battle quirkless.

Jack received the first glancing blow to his pride when mademoiselle Nia did not return his affections. What? Were they perhaps too bold? It was no matter however, because now was the time for their duel. Having been in a handful of fights with opponents he summarized as similar to her. His guess that she would open with a punch turned out to be right. He took a step back out of range of the attack before countering with a long jab aimed at her side in a repose. His opponents face was much too beautiful to crack his knuckles against.

Jack kept up the conversation, after all. He'd never gotten into a scuffle in which the other person did not positively despise him. So why let the chance go to waste? He shifted his guard to cover his face, expecting a traditional retaliatory punch in response to his own attack. "I'm sorry fair lady, you struck me as a true warrior who was worthy of a good fight. I've come across a fair few of such women myself." He admits, feeling bad to have to trade blows with her. If she did not care about interrupting him, he'd be all the more open to another strike.

Jack's feet stayed mobile, his fighting style was well practiced. Instead of remaining stock still in one place they always kept moving, never staying where they were 'suppose' to be for very long. When he wanted to take a punch he planted them firmly for exactly as long as he needed to take the action before picking them up and returning to his mobility again. This coupled with his natural speed made him a whiley sort. The scar across his left eye proof that he'd obtained some hard earned patience.

Earnings:

  • Jack Threedle - 6 EXP, 600 cash
  • Nia - 6 EXP, 600 cash

Comments:

The awkward situation of police letting a criminal walk around for a while and the criminal immediately doing his thing again aside...

Could have perhaps been interesting.
