The 1000th member is here! For everyone, you all can claim the prizes in the spoiler labeled, "Everyone!". The spoilers labeled 1000th Member Gift are for those whom were here as of or before the 1000th member unless specifically stated. Reggie's 1000th is claimable by all however, to make a quick exception. Thanks for being here and fucking stuff up with us! I have been on and worked this site since we had single digit members, which were all mostly mods. It's been a long ride! I made a little loli and custom claimed stoned a long time ago. Now I have an island and a crimson druid. Sooo, yeah. Everyone! Reggie's 1000th Member Gift Harmy says, "Having had a large hand in creating this site, being a mod has been on the table from the get-go. But that hasn't diminished the experience in any way for me as one of the Head Admins. I'm honestly blown away by the popularity of our site, and the dedication of its members. Way back when, I joined in September and helped form it all up. At that point, I ended up making one of the most talked about characters; Eve! Now Green Grit, her journey from an ice princess/ aspiring Villain to a devout and selfless hero has been some of my best writing to date. Kinetic Shift, her quirk, was my custom claim on day one of the site, and I took it there and then; I love it to pieces. An old Villain I made, Anastasia, became absorbed into Alana: the chaos-loving mage archetype who happens to have a group of followers (much to her dismay). Then there's the lovable supporting type, Felicity, who will do anything and everything to help others! Lastly, I have Rosalie who is forming up the Bounty Hunter Federation. Killing is a viable profession, too." Harmy's 1000th Member Gift Ron says, "Joined feb 28 2016. First online RP site. DnD is better, but smh. Became a mod because Reggie needed numbers to overthrow the site. Deku and I ran this site like kings, 31 posts a day, since admins were trash, #harmy. First character was an edge lord. Dear god it was bad. Then said fuck that and made Gavin McMaster, #bestbritlawyer. Died a heroes death. The site is pretty good, except for my lack of ability to make quirks since im so good at it. qq. Rory will asend to god status and kill all your characters and Praise Oni #value." Ron's 1000th Member Gift Prophet says, "I joined the site December 20th in 2015. I am one of the old heads, shockingly enough that started the meme that "Prophet posted?!" I became a mod a good year and a half after my joining(avoided it out lf laziness XD). My time here has been good, honestly. I was coming out of a group of rp friends that I normally always rp with so this was new territory for me, it's hard for me to commit to a roleplay and this one became bae. My time as a mod has been better than I expected, I am naturally lazy, no lie, no lie, so becoming a mod was scurry, mane. However, I feel because I am committed to the site and I care for it, it has made the task easier. As someone that joined before/during beta, it's a sweet moment to see the site make it to 1000 members. WE SUCCEEDED BITCHES! EZRA IS BEST TSUN." Prophet's 1000th Member Gift Rubber says, "Rubber, early may 2016 Honestly, becoming a mod came as a surprise to me at first. I had always been a bit of a troublemaker and caused problems by my attitude. So, when I became a mod, one of my first questions, besides an immediate ”wait, what” said at the same time as my fellow modded person at the time pancake, was ”Should I calm it down with the puns?” Luckily, the answer was no, and I am still a menace at that front. Over time, I got a better and better hang of how things work around here, and I noticed people really trusting me. Simply put, it still feels amazing. Some of the mods here are pretty much the most trustworthy internet friends I could have, and I have been around through such legendary events as the site move and multiple failures of the entrance exams. It has also made me read way more than I would have probably ever read, if I had never joined the site. And with all these friends around me, with all these stories that I actually really wanna share…. I guess, all I can say in this very moment is… We really PUNted this milestone! LET`S MAKE IT TO 10 000 NEXT!" Rubber's 1000th Member Gift Guava says, "I joined the site July 14th, 2017, just searching for an RP site relevant to my latest MHA obsession. I had been looking for a place for a while, and I'm so grateful I wound up here and not a Steven Universe forum. It's mind blowing to think that the member base has more than doubled in the six months I've been around. My time as a mod as been pretty damn good, in my limited time I've been apart of some pretty exciting narrations (that 9 PC kill count though) and I hope to be apart of many more. I've come up with some rather silly X-forms, whether it be the Mighty Seacumber to to shotgun blasting Honk Honk. My posh skeleton Jack has been the only character I've actually been able to stick with, and I've never felt bored writing his superfluous dialogue. Some silly ideas are on the horizon, the era of the Muppet Samurai is soon to come." Guava's 1000th Member Gift Infinity says, "I joined the site back in September of 2016, and I was honestly surprised I got to be a mod, especially considering the longest amount of time I’d sent on an RP site before this was about two weeks. From the view of a mod, things certainly changed up in terms of how much work actually goes into grading and approvals and the like, but it’s been an overall fun experience that’s taught me a lot about management and social hierarchy methinks. Character-wise, Jackson was a pretty big surprise for me, as he turned from fake agro, to shounen protagonist to true edgy agro, which has been fairly fun. Mr. Chimes (RIP) could a been a fun villain at the end of it all, too bad I didn’t like playing villains. Lastly Mairu… I wanted to make Tails, not traumatized smol boy, so we’ll see where he leads! Quirk-wise I created Hellfire which made an endless stream of morality questions (always fun) and a shrink quirk cause I thought we didn’t have one." Infinity's 1000th Member Gift Pancake says, "I joined the site August 8th, 2016, just a day before that one big-ass site move because the Oldmods were assholes. Before this site, I had basically been a drifter, bouncing around different RPs, never really sticking around for any longer than a few months. I'm not entirely certain why, but when I came upon this (at one point) little site, I decided to stick around as long as I could, and after being stubborn long enough, I'd become rather attached to the people and community here. I never thought I'd be a mod again after one particular experience in my time drifting, but I was given the chance here, and I've been enjoying it Quite a bit, even if my time here's a bit limited these days. My first character was Franklin Sato, an enjoyable character, though he has very much fallen by the wayside these days. Then Appollo, my first Villain character, I enjoyed him, but I simply couldn't reliably get into the right headspace to play him, so he was reincarnated into Jude, a similar character with similar issues, who was then reincarnated into James, who was... another sorta mess, and then that finally lead into Gross Jimmy, who has turned out pretty well so far. Of course, between Apollo and Jude, I made Oswald, along with his Quirk, Pangolinism, who has quickly turned into my premier character, as many of you know. Lastly, we have Satoshi, just hitting C rank, the character I made alongside my two IRL friends, Aqua and Busty when I got them to join the site." Pancake's 1000th Member Gift MyuQQ says, " So I'm pretty much the baby of the website or at the very least the baby of the mod team. I have ran my own website several times for role-playing and never have I seen a website that was such a well-oiled machine. Outside of the few times we have to crack the whip I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the moderator team as well as the website as a whole. I think this is the very first time I've ever gotten along with so many staff members at the same time who still have varying personalities that are different from myself. I enjoy Amy's Love for bishie characters. I enjoy Ron for always being as straightforward as possible and trolling me. I enjoy rubber and I's conversation. Every mod in training ive enjoyed as well as the keepers of the peace. I think I have never gotten along with a head administrator as much as I have gotten along with Reggie. It is almost uncanny. Not only do I have similar hobbies to a ton of you guys but every single person here has done nothing but been supportive of me not only as a moderator but as a new moderator as well and I just hope that I can continue proving myself to the team. As a staff member I have thoroughly enjoyed it, there are times I do feel like some of my ideas have been ignored or overlooked but it's usually a combination of bad timing and/or my own newbness on both the site as well as a staff member since it was only 2 months ago. I never thought I would get staff even after 6 days of being a moderator I'm so glad that Reggie has done nothing but support me even though I annoy every single one of you with @ tags. (Which I'm sorry, sometimes) and I got to say it's just again, very nice to finally have people who support my decisions or support the way I go about doing things instead of constantly berating me or nit picking at things but I do wrong here and there. As far as my characters are concerned, sadly I can't really say a whole lot on that front because I majority of my characters have either died or have not been able to really really flush themselves. But I'm looking forward to it not only role playing with the staff team but also role playing with several members on the website and I can't wait.(edited) MyuQQ's 1000th Member Gift Sahu says, "You could call me a refugee. When I came to MHARP in early July, 2017, I left a site that sat on a lit powder keg. There were some mods that couldn't accept that characters could die for doing stupid stuff, some people got doxedI won't get too much into that, but I was welcomed warmly when I joined, so I decided to roll with it. I didn't know what I was doing, to be frank; I spoke at length with Prophet because I didn't know how a quirk worked. But then I read, I asked some questions, and got right to it. As a sample of the kind of characters I make...I saw Harmy requesting characters for a Bounty Hunter federation, and I asked, "Can I make my character a Russian sack of potatoes with arms and legs that is also chasing 10 million stolen Russian dollars?" So I did. By the by, Reggie hauled some kilofat elephant ass to get that quirk approved, and for that I am fully grateful. And then I made Aya, a mantis who is a programmer and a racist. I like to leave my characters open-ended so I can RP with all you lovely folk. I will also say, that I got selected as a mod so quickly came as a huge surprise to me, but I retain my promise to help MHARP grow. Whether that means banning sexual criminals from UA, watching people break limbs from megatesla magnetic fields, or reading your content, I am always happy to help. And without further ado...HAPPY 1000 MEMBERS! Let's go for 2018 members next!" Sahu's 1000th Member Gift Strongbad says, I joined this site back in May of 2017 looking to get back into some rp after my old One Piece sites fizzled into nothing, and found a community that was larger than I had ever been apart of. Before I knew it, this community has blown up at a PLUS ULTRA rate and become like a second family to me. This site has brought a lot of fun times, both in and out of character, and has become a staple in becoming my League of Legends nicotine patch. Since becoming a mod, I’ve learned a bit about why quirks, enhancements, and techniques are approved or denied, and more importantly, creative some of your ideas for quirks can be, and how (painfully) persistent some of you are. My first character was Kasai, a boy I neglected at first because I was whiny about rolling a quirk I hated despite putting it on a roll for 4 post, and tried to spend more time on my other starter slot in Raitaro with a seemingly more fun quirk at face value, but soon learned that despite my distaste for the quirk and it’s one dimensional use as I saw it, the slightest bit of creativity and plenty of awesome rp partners helped me develop a character I had zero interest in and grow him into a character I love more than any other character I’ve yet to rp with on any site. While the straightforward, playful, and knuckleheaded nature of Raitaro can certainly be fun, the way I’ve been able to build Kasai is what I’ve come to enjoy about roleplaying. Soraka, a fun girl that I very much look forward to threading with and developing, she’s such a new member of my family that I don’t have much to say about her, yet... - From StrongBadEmail Strong's 1000th Member Gift Khrissy says, I joined the site back in January 14, 2017 (It'll almost be a full year in about two weeks!) and was brought here by an ex-mod/ex-friend that I won't get too much into. I was the type of person who'd do 'one line roleplays' and use '*' for actions! [Yeah, I was there about two to three years ago.] Before this site, I hadn't known a damn lick of forum roleplaying or where to even start. This meant it took me a few months to get my baby steps a moving as I made my first character - but we'll talk about that later in this entry post of mine. What I want to talk about is how grateful I am that I got the privilege to be on the mod team. I knew that there was a lot of miscommunications down the road when it came to some issues involving me - I didn't know how to fix them necessarily but when I saw Reggie posted the mod applications in announcements was when I'd give it a shot. BOY, I was amazed when I saw that I got through and became a mod-in-training. (Even more so when I got put into the position I was the most UNCOMFORTABLE with! [The Press]) Grading has been a pleasure of mine, I thoroughly enjoy it - I just need to get more into doing narrations and being fine with my writing (As you know, you're your worst critic after all). Characters! My first character I made on the site was Sachiko Mirazaki, or as some of you know her as, Christine. She is the proud holder of the only quirk I've made to date; Bard's Symphony. It is a shame that I'll be reincarnating her soon - but I did enjoy her while I had the chance to play her. Sonomi, well.. for those of you who don't know - it's her fault as to why we're holding elections now. xD She's my pride and joy, and a real pleasure to role play for as time goes on. Lastly, my newest character on my signature is Kyoko. I haven't done much with her yet, but she's a wanna be hero that is humble most of the time! ... Peee~rhaps prideful on smaller occasions, but don't tell the quirk user of Pride that I said that. For the year I've been here - I've loved what I've seen and experienced so far and would love to meet all of you in the near future if we haven't already! Let's look forward and continue to grow on the site for the better. Also, my new year's resolution is to actually watch the anime and perhaps read the manga! - From Sour Baby Lemon Hands. Khrissy's 1000th Member Gift Zeta Says: My time on the site has been a rollercoaster experience, highs, lows, twists, turns, and a few times where I felt nauseous. But all the same it’s been a thrill ride that I’ve been happy to be a part of. I joined at first as sort of an escapist thing I needed to relieve some stress but being able to write and play around with so many scenarios has made me better as a writer and it’s just been a blast to interact with so many people. Though at times things did get stressful I’d never trade my experience with the site and with you all. And I hope that with as we get more folks coming along that they share that optimism and happiness I had. My perspective changed a bit once I became a mod, but taking in the responsibility and working with the site only made me appreciate how much went into it and that it's pretty awesome that we have such a great system. To all of you, keep on pressing on. Good things come to those who don't quit. Here's to a new year and another great time on the site! Zeta's 1000th Member Gift Happy 2018 Fuccbois and grills! I've been on this site for a cumulative total of 10 months (I was on the site a year before I joined more permanently in April 2017), and I can say that this has been one my most enjoyable RP site. All the mods, even during the low points, were fair and fun, busy as fuck making sure we weren't burning too much shit. Most of the members, besides the ones who were banned, are always enjoyable to be around and more than likely wanting to learn how to be better RP'rs. And all the plot I've made on this site has always made me feel invested, because there was always a goal for me to work toward. I'd like to thank everyone for making this a great site for me to be a part of, and I wish for everyone else to have as much enjoyment I have. And with that said, I'm claiming these rewards, because #FreeShit |
