As Jack began to rush against Mercutio, he was happy to see that at least Shigero took the hint and joined along side him. His watery friend attempted to use some kind of water net against him. Sadly, however, it didn't seem like the move did too much against the crimson man. Their teacher's speed and power were awe-inspiring, even though he was the one that they were fighting against. The way he used his Quirk, too...Jack partially wondered if the crimson mist was plasma-based, and if Jack could pull off similar stunts. Though, all he would really want to do is to be able to fly... His thought process was broken as he heard Sumiye's voice call out to him. She bluntly reminded him to not make the same mistakes that he made in the Entrance Exams. Jack partially grinned at her, saying "Wouldn't dream of it! Glad to see you-" He was immediately cut off as not only did his Quirk shut off out of nowhere, which was strange, but as Mercutio wrapped a ribbon-like stream of crimson around him, and flung him into a very familiar wave of crimson. While it didn't nearly send him flying like it did last time, it still did it's damage. Jack could definitely feel a rib crack as he was hit and sent flying into the sand. He coughed as he began to get up, but he managed to at least keep his footing, at least for now. Jack flexed his hands a bit, wondering what the hell just happened. Why did his Quirk just shut off like that? He looked around for a moment, until he saw her. A white haired girl, short but probably still a bit taller than he was. She was staring right at him, her eyes glowing a red hue. Jack couldn't really help but stare back for a moment. It was...rather mesmerizing, actually. Was that the Suo sister that Mercutio was talking about? Was his Quirk shutting off her doing? Because, if it was...Jack partially grinned as he thought. That would honestly be badass. His initial plan was to go over and at least try to distract her from the others, but before he even could, out of nowhere, right on top of his head, Mercutio landed a heavy heal blow. Jack kneeled for a moment, knocked down from the attack. His head was now spinning, and his nose had a vivid stream of blood coming out of one nostrel. Before he could even react any further, Mercutio then went on to slam Sumiye right onto Jack, making him cough a bit of blood as he now clearly felt a rib or two break from the impact. Huh...so this is what guys are talking about when they mention the girl being on top.... he thought groggily. He clearly wasn't thinking straight for the moment, as that thought kinda came out nowhere. "Ech...Sumiye...please get off of me. You broke a rib or two..." he murmured silently, but seeing as how she was literally on top of him, she could likely hear him loud and clear. As she got off of him, he laid there in the sand for a moment, trying to catch his breath. Which was hard, seeing as now every breath stung like hell. Sumiye looked down at him breifly, and Jack reached out a hand, hoping that she would help him up. However, she turned around and began to go towards Mercutio once more. That girl really was stubborn as hell...despite being a bit annoyed, Jack couldn't help but grin a bit, as he was probably just as stubborn. He couldn't really blame her, even though if the roles were reversed he would have helped her up. Jack got back up onto his feat, groaning as he did so. His entire body hurt like absolute hell, but he knew he couldn't stop here. But...he was in no shape to continue the fight here. He was too damaged and another good hit would knock him out, surely. However...Jack had a bit of an idea. He followed behind Sumiye breifly, and tried to turn his Quirk back on. Assuming Sonomi had switched targets by this point, Jack would sigh a bit in relief as fire would form on his hand. "You know, you have one hell of a sister, Sumiye," he said, looking extremely impressed by that Quirk of hers. For his plan, however, he partially hoped that she didn't look back in his direction. That would be more energy wasted for nothing. Once he got a good distance from the group, he would kneel once more. He clapped his hands together like he was about to go into prayer. Then, he would spread his arms apart, and a wave of heat would hit Shinjiro, Shigero, and Sumiye. He would've hit Kaito with it as well, but this move can only reach about 2 or 3 people, and they seemed like they needed it more at the moment. However, this wasn't like any other heat he's emitted before. Despite the heavy heat of the island, they would likely find this heat to be a comforting feeling, a feeling of home. Of family, like he considered his classmates, despite some of them not even knowing him. This warmth would likely invigorate his classmates, and allow them to keep fighting. Jack only hoped he could keep it going for at least a while... Summary and LP Usage |

There was a moment of genuine surprise as Shigero's attack actually managed to get in a few shocks on Crimsoul. But it was all too quickly followed up by the realization that he was brushing it off like he barely existed. Mercutio didn't look more than moderately annoyed as he continued smashing around everyone else into the sand without hesitation. Should he be terrified or impressed? He felt both, and things aren't always that black and white, so let's go with both. This was the kind of person he could be in a few years. Not personality-wise, of course, he didn't even have much of a grasp of what their temporary teacher was like. A teacher he was, though. This kind of speed, power, endurance, accuracy. Being on the receiving end of it was a world's difference from even just seeing it. That hit hard. Not just metaphorically, the shock he received by means of the track he'd created was quite the teeth-clencher, putting his thoughts even further away from maintaining his attack. God damn, this guy was strong. Were there any limits to what he could do? The tendrils quickly retracted as his concentration fled them, and he took a few steps back. This was the second time he'd been hit by something like this, too. Maybe he should build a countermeasure into his gauntlet? Not the time for that kind of thinking. But what was it the time for? So much had just happened. A mysterious third party, presumably the Suo sister, had stepped in after Kaito put up a barrier of sand. Jack got tied up in tape, then kicked in the head, then had Sumiye tossed into him by means of her own chain. Things weren't looking up for the interns, the opposition essentially toying with them in the name of training. The only thing they could really do was stay on the attack, but there was no way they could win. Outclassed in every way, even a numbers advantage completely useless against this man, and Mercutio definitely knew that. They'd just have to try their best. Shigero did have something to prove, whatever that meant. Strength? Will? The power of friendship? Anything he could come up with could be something he meant, or it could be every last one. It was frustrating to say the least, and he had to get the hell out of his own head and into the battle, too. Maybe that was what he mea- No. After all that thinking, he was none the wiser. He knew that his allies were battered, and he wasn't feeling particularly great himself. But he was still far better off than Sumiye and Jack, violently smashed together by the crimson hero. It was just painful to look at, as they were getting up, but it all washed away with a strange wave of additional heat. That was a very nice heat, actually. Not natural, it made the stiffness in his muscles ease up. Soothing, like a fireplace on Christmas Eve. Where was it coming from? Jack was in a weird position, and his fire could make this kind of heat, so He wouldn't just let Sumiye stand there, practically leaving herself to be beaten to death or dangerously close. It was good that she was willing to go that far, but her goals were unclear. Whatever she was trying to accomplish by continuing to stand up in her horrible condition, at least it proved she could. But she wouldn't have to, hopefully. Shigero wasn't about to make this even more unfair. He was completely fine, or close, especially after that heat wave. So why not split the damage a bit? It only seemed fair. She likely wouldn't take it well, but that was fine. Not like his attempt to get on good terms with the girl would have a chance of success in the first place. The ring around him turned on its side, lifting the purple-haired student off of the ground and into its centre as he positioned it vertically. It started rolling, going as fast as he could, towards Mercutio. "Hey, Crimson Cuck!" he shouted, trying to get his target's attention. He made sure to look absolutely pissed, even though the man was probably not going to fall for it. Whether or not he was moving to continue pummeling Sumiye or not, he'd try to keep him busy for a bit. Their teacher was sure to notice and attack, so he had to be ready. A small bar of ice extended from the inside of his ring, staying near his feet to let him move around his centre and try to avoid any attacks. Along with the maneuverability that moving in his ring gave him, it should work decently. If Mercutio's likely counterattack was something he'd be able to dodge, he was ready to counter-counterattack, probably by kicking the man in the head after some crazy 3D movement. He might come across as hogging the spotlight a bit, but that was by no means his intention. Charging head-first at someone of this caliber was not fun, but he had to. Summary/Techs |

This battle was a long time coming. A rematch between friends. Kaito could hear and sense the struggling that the others were going though. They were more than likely being battered by Mercutio just like he had been. However there was one thing he was certain of. They would never succeed if Sonomi was playing a support role. In the blink of an eye Sonomi could change her target so that meant in the case they , by some miracle, found a way to restrain Crimsoul she could toss a metaphorical wrench in the cogs that enable success for ever being achievable. This was his reasoning behind trying to stop Sonomi first and foremost. Kaito had made the decision to skirmish against Sonomi so that her focus would have to be divided between himself and his acquaintances. Meaning that the others would have a higher chance at success because she would be looking at them less. He had to make sure she couldn't turn off quirks at her leisure. This was his original plan. Kaito had removed the shoes upon his feet so that the sand curled around his toes. Shoes were nothing but detrimental upon a sandy beach although he had some hidden reason behind doing this. It was just when Kaito had gotten into his stance of Suyanta that his plans had to be postponed. From not too far away a massive expulsion of energy was quickly making its way towards them, towards everyone in fact. Thus Kaito put full efforts into disengaging and finding anything to grab a hold of to brace himself. He did not find anything. In fact Kaito ultimately would resort to diving into the water, severing eye contact from Sonomi and prepared to brace from the impact that was Shinra Tensei. It was only after this attack, of which Kaito's mental process was that the water would help buffer some of the potential damage of the attack that he would re emerge from the water momentarily and resurvey the battlefield. Once he was sure he could renter the sandy beach he would go in full force. It was a struggle, as one who fully relied on their quirk for everything was now being forced to use what he considered is his weakest aspect, his own body. Action Summary & Limit

Mercutio appeared visibly in thought for a moment before he gave a hard shove to Sonomi, extending his crimson out at her to push her, hurtling out into the water. "Be gone, you've done well. Pet a shark and make yourself some tea." he muttered as she twirled away. Seeing her hit the water, gave him an idea. At the water's edge, the ocean would begin to gather into a large circular ball, crimson coating it. "Rude. I will let it slide, ever cease, especially you, no arms. "It didn't take my long to see what you all need, like you Shigero. Connect your water to this pool, and draw from it, using your own water to influence it. I doubt you have a limitless supply, hmm?" he explained, drifting around the few who were still gathered. The conversation and mood all around took a 180. It was completely the opposite of what it just was, but that was Just how Mercutio operated. "Jack, get a black costume, it absorbs heat, and retains it. Use it to amplify your fire abilities. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. Maybe get some body armor or do some sit-ups, hmm? I recommend reading manga and watching cartoons. Do not let yourself beat you down before you try. I made a girl with Cartoon Body bounce a bullet off her body, so the methods I work are pretty battle tested." "Pervy-pika-chan, do they let you touch butts at U.A? And you need to not be so bullheaded, I feel like watching anime would only reinforce your traits that cause you to, well... dislocate an arm. Try meditation and tea; or maybe smoke weed." he scolded. "Kaito, you need to do 100 sit-ups, 100 push-ups and run a 10k every day. Read this." he said, floating him the One Punch manga. "I made a few prints from the web of it," he said in an oddly sensual way, but reverted back to 'normal' immediately. "All of you but two passed this." [End] |

Comments: All in all, a solid internship thread! The active approach on Mercutio's end really helped bring out the fighting spirit in these - even if they weren't really ready yet. Cheers for the fun internship! Y'all better give the Ramble Jamble to villainy! >.< Notes
