Darkness and Weightlessness were felt in this room. Their was darkness all around, but the two fighting here could visibly see each other. |

Everything was so... dark. Eizen wasn't sure when it had happened, but sometime between him waking up now and being told he'd have to fight to survive, he'd blacked out. Of course, remembering having been told that brought back the feeling of his stomach flipping upside down. He had really been told to kill someone... and if he didn't, he'd die. He didn't want to die, but... well, he didn't want to kill someone either! This wasn't fair! All he wanted was to go back home with his mum and dad, but they were gone too... All because of that stupid man, Mercutio! Moving to stand was... surprisingly easy. Way easier then it should have been, if Eizen was being honest. He'd fallen over and tripped many times before, and of course he'd gotten up every single time, but this was... it was like someone had helped him to stand up. Like he weighed nothing at all. Eizen didn't like it, and it served as yet another reminder that the world he had known was gone. Looking around the room showed... nothing. There was nothing but darkness, even on the ground! There was, however, one thing he could see. He could quite clearly see a small shape on the other side of... wherever he was. No doubt it was another person, probably wanting to kill him but... he couldn't lose. "H-hello there." It was a quiet introduction as Eizen gave the small figure a polite bow. He'd always been taught to be polite to everyone he met... and even if the world had seemingly come apart at the seams, he saw no reason to abandon the values he'd been taught. summary

Fran suddenly awoke and for a moment still thought that she was fast asleep. The room was pitch black and there was almost nothing in her sight except for a strangely pale boy before her who for some reason she could see just fine even though everything is in darkness. She did not even know what she was standing on as even it seemed pitch black while right beneath her feet. Also she could not even really tell the distance between them given that all the darkness was messing with her perception. Despite not knowing the exact format of the place she was in the goal of it was clear from before she went asleep in the first place. Lots of death and destruction had lead her to this moment and of course what was asked of them was even more death and destruction. Mercutio had killed the family of all these people and then after saving them murdered them even more again. He had ended thousand of lives and now asked them to end even more as they were pit against each other in battles to the death. She could not understand why so many needed to die, but she had to believe there was a reason behind this. She was going to kill and going to win because she had to find out what all this death was for. She wanted a reason for her friend dying, She Needed a reason for her death! She would get that answer even if it killed her. As she strengthened her resolve to do the unspeakable her victim or opponent was doing his best to ruin it as he gave an introduction and bowed so politely. He seemed so innocent and so nice even bowing to a person he had to know was going to kill him. She was shaken a bit by his niceties and was hesitant and in fact did not even stir to movement. She needed him to be bad needed him to be evil so she simply stood steadfast and stared at the man. She was not even making a single motion possibly being mistaken for an actual stuffed animal if it was not for the fact she was the only thing left in the room. Despite her inaction she kept her body ready to strike should he prove to be a villain or a vile person she would let him make the first blow but she would be the one to strike the last one. Her body tensed as she firmed up do to the pressure and hoped he was evil hoped he was selfish and willing to kill for his life. She knew that she would not be able to kill him otherwise. Summary

Quite some time passed after Eizen made his introduction, and in that time, he could only feel himself growing steadily more confused. Was the figure across from him just really shy, or were they just cautious of him? In a situation like this, he could understand that, though that didn't stop Eizen from approaching who or whatever he had greeted. It was strange, walking in this place. It took almost no effort at all to lift his limbs, and it felt like he could just... float away if he really wanted too. Maybe he should just try that, honestly, but who knew where floating away would get you in this strange dark place? After a short amount of walking, Eizen approached... a stuffed animal? Now Eizen was just confused. Was this some kind of sick joke? Lock him in a strange place with a stuffed animal just to see what would happen? He couldn't tell what kind of animal it was... an ant eater or an armadillo maybe? Crouching low to get a better look at the plush figure, Eizen could see some kind of hard material on it's back. It all looked so life-like... or at least, Eizen thought it did. He'd never seen the animal that the stuffie was made to impersonate, so for all he knew, it could have been wildly inaccurate. "Such great detail... Though it doesn't make me feel better. Why am I here with only a plushie?! Why can't I just go back home with mum and dad?!" A sigh escaped the boy's mouth as he remained crouched, staring at the plushie before him with watering eyes. Desperate for some answers, Eizen did the only thing that a twelve-year old child could think to do when faced with the unknown: He moved to poke the plushie. |

Fran was completely motionless as the boy approached her rather slowly moving in a way that seemed slightly unnatural. She had not yet moved around in this place yet, so she had no idea of the strange attributes that this location seemed to possess. All she knew was that there were only the two of them in here and nothing else but darkness as far as the eyes could see. He seemed to be believing her little play of being just a stuffed animal as he seemed to not be on guard. He even seemed to be talking to himself and it made her feel a little sad for him. He had not accepted the death of his parents or simply wanted to believe that they were not dead. She had already accepted it in her own sick way. Having lost her parents year ago helped with this but did not make it hurt any less losing people. The fact that the boy before her was crying did not particularly help the issue, as she could feel her own eyes swell up at the site of it. She thought that she could steel off her heart if it was for a greater good, but looking at him in tears and wishing for his parents made it hard for her. He had made a move towards her that she could justify as an attack if she really wanted to stretch it, but she could not see this as an attack and wanted nothing more to hug him and tell him it would all be okay. Even though that was what she wanted she knew that would only make things worse for both of them, so instead she decided to be up front with him. Before she managed to speak to him he had poked her on the top of the head. She did not particularly move much as he poked her except for her head getting a small indenture in it due to her softie nature. She would look at him and stand up on her hind legs as he finished pushing attempting to get his attention and not wanting to startle him too much by instantly speaking. After a moment she began to speak trying to do so in a calm way though speech was not her specialty considering she had not done it that much in the last few years. Even when she did speak and hear people speak to her it was in a very baby talk way, since it was a little girl talking to her stuffed doll. "I am Sowwy to say dis, but we can't anymore. We are awone wid no way out. I dank we need da fwight. Whowever did this seems to be twesting us or there would be a way out. " she said trying to look serious, well as serious as a plushie doll that could talk could be. She knew it was probably not too effective but she had to do it to make herself feel right about this. She wanted to gauge his reaction before she did anything, but should he attack her she would be at the ready to respond to it. She may have not been the most emotionally stable at this point, but she was not going to be played with anymore. Edited by Prizoner, Dec 7 2017, 08:03 PM.

It gave Eizen a little bit of a fright when the thing he'd previously assumed to be a stuffed animal started slowly moving and speaking in a voice that Eizen could only really associate with doting parents or fairly young children. Of course, it wasn't a quick enough transition to warrant him screaming and running in terror, but it was still enough to startle him into standing up and backing off... and then the words of the plush kicked in, and his shoulder's slumped, his gaze moving towards the ground. He just wanted things to go back to the way they were, but the doll was right. He couldn't see a way out, let alone anything else in this room beyond the roll, and like it said, that had to be intentional. Still teary-eyed, Eizen looked back up towards the plushie, though with how small it was, he was still pretty much staring at the ground. So many thoughts were going through his head... about how he couldn't do this, about how he didn't want to do this, and in all honesty, maybe the doll didn't want to either. Clenching his fists, Eizen took a few steps back, his mouth forming into a deep frown as he looked at the doll. "I just want things to go back to normal, but you're right. We can't go back, so we have to move forward. I've got to get to Mercutio, make him pay for all of this... So if that means I have to fight you, I will." Taking a deep breath, Eizen raised his fists, imitating what he'd seen in countless movies with his dad. The form was poorly done, left several openings, and was clearly only meant for intimidation, but for a twelve-year old kid, it was the best he could muster. "My name is Eizen von Eizen. I'm twelve years old, was born in Germany, and like tuna sandwiches." It was a simple introductory, and that was all he needed. It'd be harder to fight a stranger, so maybe fighting someone you knew would make things easier... more manageable. summary

Her rise still seemed to have garnered some fright despite her trying her best to move slowly and speak calmly as to not surprise him. Then again she had gotten sorta used to being mistaken for a doll so it was an understandable amount of surprise as he did not scream or run around yelling things. He did seem to take a bit of a distance between himself and her which was understandable as well. She had sort of just declared war on him in a sense and did not want it to be so. He began talking after gaining this distance and started saying things about not being able to go back to normal and killing mercutio. These were understandable feelings to have towards him but for some reason she felt differently. Her mind was set on not killing him, but helping him to limit the amount of killing. They were at a cross roads of sort both on different sides of the same side. She continued to listen on as he spoke again calming and steeling herself. "I'm Frawnada Vega, I don wanna do dis..." she said honestly not seeing any reason to harm the boy besides the reason that was forced upon her. She didn't see how having two kids murder each other would help anything was for any greater good. Sure one of them could have been destined to bad thing or this could lead them down a certain path, but she really didn't care or want to know. The idea of a bigger plan was beyond her understanding in many ways, but doing nothing was not getting her any closer to being out of this nightmare so she had to fight. It seems that her opponent had already steeled his resolve so like it or not she would have to do the same. Knowing her name did not ease the guilt of what she would have to try and do. All it meant was she would have a name to remember for the rest of her life. That was only if she was the one to make it out of this alive. She had no fighting training or very much motion at all in the last few years, so fighting was gonna be rough for her. Despite that she was gonna go down swinging. She leapt up expecting to be going towards his chest, but ended up going at a higher course given the lack of resistance as she went up. She felt as if she would have kept going up and up at this rate. She curled up into a ball and started spinning towards her opponent hoping to do at least a little damage to start this off even if he did block it with what appeared to be a poor man's boxing stance. She had no plans for what to do as she flew in the air honestly just hoping he would take it and stay down. She did not want to fight any more than she had too. Drips of water could be seen falling from her curled up form as she spun through the air. summary

He didn't know what to do. He really didn't know what to do! Of course he knew they were going to fight, and from the movies he'd seen he knew how fights were supposed to work, but now there was a small girl curled up in a ball flying through the air at him and all of his movie-gained knowledge had flown out the window in the face of this development. Did he block, did he attempt to catch the girl, or maybe he could- As Eizen ran through his thoughts of what action he should take, he was brought back to reality by the feeling of something roughly hitting him in the face. Despite the supposed weightlessness of the room, the girl held enough force to knock him off his feet and to the ground. That had... really hurt. This small, plush animal girl had more strength then he thought. Wiping his face with his sleeve to get rid of whatever tears had formed, Eizen stayed where he had fallen onto the ground, aiming his right hand towards Fran. He could feel a sudden surge in his right hand before a glob of mayonnaise, a yellow tinge of white and foul smelling, erupted from his hand. If it hit Fran, that'd be good, it'd buy him some time to recover, if not... Well, more mayonnaise where that came from. summary |

Fran had never expected to actually stay true in her course and land a blow on the boy. Sure that was what she had wanted but she had expected for him to put his arms up and or strike out against her so she was strangely satisfied as she made impact with the boy and sent him off his feet. She uncurled for a moment so that she could get a better judge of the situation given that it was a little difficult to see while rolled up in a ball. That combined with spinning rapidly in a room that was nothing but darkness was rather disorienting to even the most keen of vision. She was most certainly not one of those people so she was a bit dazed at first before finally getting a good look at the boy as she was slowly falling down to the ground. There was certainly something weird about this room that she could not explain. She had first assumed it to be the boys quirk. That he was somehow manipulating the space around him with this weird weightless feeling, not that she weighed much to begin with. That idea was smashed, or at least lessened, as he shot some sort of weird fluid out of his hands. Sure she herself had two quirks, but her parents told her that this was rare so she thought it would be rather weird to happen upon another so easily. This was not the time to be thinking about that though as she quickly curled up into a ball not too sure what it was that flew at her and trying to protect her soft insides just in case. The blob struck her and knocked her back but did not seem to be burning or melting her which was nice. The force of it shocked her, but her natural soft insides combined with her scales slightly mitigating the force of it made it rather dulled. Unfortunately it did not dull the horrendous stink of this strangely colored fluid that he shot at her. She rolled around after landing a few feet away from him and rolled back and forth trying to get it off her before it soaked into her felt skin. "EWWW EWWWW EWWWW!" she shouted never having smelt anything quite this bad having lived a pampered life. Her mind was not on offense or defense simply trying to get this stank off her because it would be hard for her to concentrate with this smell on her. Not only that but it also made her feel sick to her stomach maybe even a bit weaker. She could not properly put it into words, but more than just the stink something about this unsettled her. She still knew he was there and could be coming for her so she was not completely unaware. She would look back to see what he was doing between each roll to remove the stank from her not sure if it was even working. Unless he was bringing out a knife or fire though she was not too concerned. She had learned long ago that her kind were not easy to kill. Short of a lot of effort or lighting her on fire she was told that her body was quite durable. She had no way to fight smell though so she was either going to have to put up with it or try and find another way to deal with it. Summary

Grading: Franada Vega: 11 EXP, 1000 Cash Eizen von Eizen: 11EXP, 1000 Cash Commentary: God damn it this thread tore at me. I could tell neither of these characters wanted to fight, and the subtle writing - from the strained dialogue to the various little details sprinkled thoughout the thread - contributed to the thread's uneasy tone. Also a note: Prizoner, your sentences here are more pointed; they separate more when a new thought forms. This makes your writing more clear and concise, so props for that! Enjoy the spoils! I would love to see more writing between you two in the future. |
