Among a thick forest of trees, the two users sit in total darkness while Weasel hovers above with night and heat based visionary cameras. There is no sight due to the sheer darkness of the area.

It was dark. Too dark.

Artemis didn't like the dark. She loved the night, with it's twinkling stars and luminous moon. There always seemed to be a cool breeze that ruffled her feathers and tried to coax her up into the sky. The night was so different to this absolute darkness, and the tiny dragon did not like it one bit.

She took a step forward, moving her head in front of her to feel for any obstructions. Her nose quivered, but all she could smell was the earthy scents of dirt and trees. Artemis knew that there was someone here who was out to kill her, who she had to defend against. Who she had to kill herself.

The tiny dragon didn't quite know how she knew all that, but she just did. It twisted her insides into knots and made her want to vomit, but she wanted even less to die. She always thought that death would be oblivion; Darkness, stillness. Very much like the forest around her, actually. Given that Artemis loathed being in here, if death was similar it was certainly not something she wanted.

Artemis's nose bumped into a tree trunk. She'd been walking slowly, moving her feet so they brushed over the top of twisted roots. Her footfalls made next to no noise, but then again she herself was very tiny. A foot tall, just like her mother. A creature that small didn't tend to make much noise at all, especially when moving as slow and careful as Artemis was.

The black feathered girl nosed up the tree, using her head as impromptu fingers. She rose up, her claws grasping onto the ridged bark. Artemis opened her wings a bit, hoping that the air beneath them would make her climb easier. Despite not knowing who was out there, and not being able to see anything, the dragon went on the assumption that whoever was out to get her could see as well as she could in the dark. So she continued to move slowly, trying to be as quiet as possible.

She slithered up the tree, thankful that the bark wasn't peeling off too much. The thick branches and suffocating leaves almost made it impossible to move in the treetops, but the dragon pushed on. She continued to use her nose to feel in front of her. When she found a gap that she could feel nothing through, Artemis wiggled until she got comfortable. Hopefully it was a gap in the branches and, hopefully, whoever it was that was after her would pass underneath. She shut her startling blue eyes and waited, wings tucked in close and mouth firmly shut.

Zeak Was blinded? "Shit!" he said aloud. The boy getting more , and more pissed with each passing moment . That bastard was going to pay for he did, but before that time came Zeak would have to beat whatever trial was layed before him. Right now that trial was to murder someone in this pitch black abyss. The boy really didn't have the patience to wait for the opponent to show up. "OY!" He would yell at the top of his lungs into the void. His voice bellowed in the empty forest, and echoed across the abyss. "I don't know where you are! or who you are!... But I'm going to fucking rip you to pieces!"

Zeak felt that intimidation was a key aspect in this fight. If he could rattle his opponent they would make mistakes, and victory would be assured. Zeak would begin to walk forward looking in many directions trying to see something anything. However it was no use. The boy had the idea to use his quirk to light up the surrounding area, but that might give away his location. True he had yelled prior to this , but that would be harder to distinguish whilst blinded.

Zeak would bend down a feel around the floor , and find a stick. He would then use the stick to track the land in front of him. Zeaks patience was already wearing thin as He just wanted to murder who was in his way , and get this over with. However underestimating his opponent could prove fatal. The stick would eventually come into contact with a tree. Feeling it out Zeak would assume he is in a forest. This could benefit him, if He had too he would burn this forest down to the ground.

Artemis stayed poised in the tree, eyes closed and ears opened. She had heard the yelling and while it did rattle her a bit, she resolved to stay strong. She had to endure this, to make her mother proud. The little dragon wouldn't let some large loud mouth upset her. 'I have to stay here until he comes past' the little dragon realized, clutching the bark beneath her. The darkness swallowed up any noise and the foliage muffled it all. Artemis knew that she had no hope in hell of finding her opponent, even if he did continue to yell.

The darkness and quiet of the forest made a wait seem like it took forever. Artemis shifted in her spot, the bark creaking ever so slightly. Her bones and muscles felt like they were starting to fuse together, making her all stiff. The little dragon almost got up to change positions when she swore that she heard a thunk below her, as if a stick was banging onto the roots on the ground. The brief image of a blind man using a walking stick came to mind, and the little dragon decided on a course of action.

Artemis gathered a glob of the coldest spit she could manage. It was a special feature of her quirk, coming from some sort of gland inside her. Artemis held onto it for a few seconds until she heard another bang and then leaned over, letting the spittle fall down and hopefully onto the head of whoever was walking about under her.

Without waiting for the drop to full land, Artemis gathered herself and slipped through the air. She trusted in her owl like wings at the moment to keep her descent hidden. If she bumped into her opponent she'd lash out with her claws as she fell down before running off. If not, she'd just land and bound away, trying to keep as much of herself in the air as possible at all times.

Zeak was on edge prepared for his opponent at any time. Thats when he heard a sound faint, but it sounded like someone spitting at him. Thats when a glob of spit would land on his cheek. What!? He thought to himself. They're above me, that means I have to go up. He thought but immediately retracted that with. No I have to dodge. Zeak Had grin light up across his face as his cheek began to burn cold. It hurt, but that just sent his adrenaline into overdrive. His legs tensed as a blue glow engulfed them. Static charges could be heard as electricity crackled off of him. The dragon would glide down, and the moment they bumped into him Zeak leaped forward, and spun around to see his opponent. The light from his legs lighting up the area. He saw a serpent like creature. It seemed to be flailing in the air going for an attack, but Zeak was now out of range.
Wasting no time at all Zeak lunged forward frost emitting from his face. "I'm going to fucking rip you apart!" he said trying to grab her, and then if successful attempt to swing her against the tree.

The blue energy crackled through the air, it's light tearing the sudden darkness asunder. Artemis squawked in pain as the light pierced her eyes. They had grown accustomed to the abyss that hugged the trees and the bright blue of the electricity that Zeak generated hurt. Instinct drove Artemis to flinch and close her eyes to protect them.

She bumped into what she was sure was her opponent. Her eyes opened up to slits as she slashed out, but by touch and sight she could see that she had missed. The little dragons heart sunk as panic threatened to overwhelm her. She had missed her attack. Her one advantage, that of surprise, was gone. She hung in the air, wings still outstretched in shock of how this had all happened so quickly.

Artemis hissed and closed her wings. They tucked tight against her body and she suddenly dropped like a lead weight.
Despite this she didn't fall as quick as she wanted to, or underestimated how agile her opponent was. Zeaks arm shot out and his palm bumped against Artemis's back. If she hadn't snapped her wings closed, she would've been in his grasp and this fight would have been over just after it started.

That knock sent the little dragon tumbling aside. Her head spun and her wings ached. Artemis landed on the ground with a soft thwomp, the leaf litter muffling and cushioning her landing. Without missing a beat the dazed dragon leaped out and forward. She had to escape, to get out from under that giants feet. She opened her wings, giving a silent flap at the apex of her leaps to propel herself further along and to make her travel more silent.

With the light from Zeak's electricity, Artemis could see in front of her, which was a bonus. It helped her move fast and avoid the trees, all in the same go. However that light meant that Zeak was right on her trail, and that she was visible. Artemis continued to push on as her head cleared and an idea formed. With her silent wings, small size and copious cushion-y material on the ground, without his light and line of sight she knew she'd be next to impossible to find.

Artemis continued to bounce and weave between the thick trunks, eyes opened for what she was looking for. When she saw it, just a hazy black on the edge of her vision amongst the roots, the little dragon dove for it. She wriggled into the tight hole beneath the roots and the tree, hoping against all hope that her opponent didn't see her take cover. She shuffled along the hole just in case, keeping her body curled against itself in an effort to take up as little room as possible.

Artemis hissed and closed her wings. They tucked tight against her body and she suddenly dropped like a lead weight.
Despite this she didn't fall as quick as she wanted to, or underestimated how agile her opponent was. Zeaks arm shot out and his palm slammed against Artemis's. The strike sent the little dragon tumbling through the air, fingers briefly scrabbling for a purchase against her feathers but finding none. The force of the blow whipped Artemis's headabout, dazing her. She landed heavily against the ground, everything spinning, not sure which direction was safe. The dragon thought she saw stars as she leaped to the side, hoping to dodge any attack that might be incoming.

As her head cleared the little dragon realised that those weren't stars that she was seeing. Every so often sparks of electricity from her opponents legs would jump out and light up a small patch of the leaf litter. The sparks were forming embers, which glowed bright hot in the gloom that surrounded the two battling creatures. A cry of alarm, "Kree!", escaped from Artemis's throat as she understood the predicament the two were in.

The trees were densely packed together, with their branches weaving through each other. This cut out any light in all directions, which meant that the forest extended for as far as Artemis knew. Despite it seeming futile, despite not knowing which way to run, the little dragon knew she had to get away from those growing flames before they could overtake her.

Artemis leaped up into the air, propelling herself forward in an attempt to escape. She'd flap her wings as she bounded along. The only sound she made in her passage was light panting, and soft thuds as she landed. The little dragon wished that she had practiced more with her mum. Wished that she already knew how to fly. But her wings were too weak to keep her up in the air for any length of time, which meant she had to rely on her legs even more so.

'The fire's going to produce smoke, but there's nothing else I can do' the little dragon thought as she bounded towards a tree. She gathered herself and leaped, pumping her wings for any extra help they'd give her. Artemis slammed against the side of the trunk, grunting, but scrabbled up as fast as she could. The fire was on the ground and, while smoke would rise, the fire could easily out-race that. She had to get high, to get away from both the flames and her opponent, who could create them.
