Dairoku's Diary: Tony and Dairoku I It's crazy, right? Someone thinks that *I* can be a hero? All this time I thought it would be impossible for someone like me to save others; to be a real Hero: but then I met Tony. He's a strange fellow, that's for sure, but he's got a good heart. I happened to run into him on my way back from the workshop, mistaking him for some weird Otaku since he was wearing a One Punch man costume, but it turned out he was just a lost foreigner and had been victim to a series of misunderstandings. It seems like he doesn't really have a solid grasp on Japanese culture... but that's beside the point. While we were conversing, I noticed in one of the alleys across the street that there were three older kids- probably in college. Two of them had the third pinned against the wall and were threatening him. I think it had something to do with one of the assailants thinking the target had been trying to hit on his girlfriend, but I'm not quite sure. While I just stood there in shock and awe, Tony immediately jumped into action. His Quirk- it's amazing. Something comes out of his body and slams into people, and he made quick work of the two assailants. He even snapped me to my senses, and I laid down a layer of sap on the ground so he could pick up the victim and we could skedaddle. The victim thanked us and left soon after, but what didn't go away was the rush I felt. My heart was beating so fast and I don't think it would've been possible for me to smile any wider. Even if Tony had done the bulk of the work, I had helped. We did something Heroic. I decided to treat him to some ramen afterwards and we got to know each other better. It seems like he's had a really rough life, so I got all worked up and told him I'd do whatever I could to help him out. And that's how it happened- we agreed to be partners in Heroism. However not long after that, the assailants from earlier started approaching with in a fairly large group. After quickly writing my phone number on his head since we didn't have any paper and our phones were dead, I climbed over one of the alley walls and headed back home. I don't know what'll come from all of this, but I am certain of one thing: my life is never gonna be the same! Dairoku's Diary: Tony and Dairoku II I can't believe what happened. All I wanted to do was gather some cheap material to build that big surprise for Tony, but things got out of hand so quickly. There were robots, and then we got split up- there was shooting and slashing and-and I got roughed up pretty damn bad. Thank God mom and dad are never home... Well, I don't know if I mean that. I'd rather get in a heap of trouble if it meant I didn't have to live at home alone all the time. That's not the issue at hand though- focus Dai! Anyways, there was another girl there too. Perry was her name, I think. I gave her my number since she seemed like the mechanic type, and well, she's cute- but mostly the mechanic thing! Like, 95% the mechanic thing! Hikaru came too, and the four of us managed to escape together, though the villain got away. I really felt like I was just a big weight for Tony. Since the last time we'd met up, I could tell: he's been getting strong and more precise with his attacks. He's been working hard. Even though I've been training too, I don't feel that same growth. His progress was apparent- mine is not. Not only was I barely able to help him against that giant hippopotamus, but I even told him and Hikaru to let the villain get away- just cuz I was all bruised and beaten up. I still can't believe I did that- and I say I want to be a Hero? I'm pathetic. The thing is, I'm not giving up just yet. I've spent a lot of time thinking about what I could've done better- and I've decided that I don't want to get left behind. I want to stand side-by-side with my teammate, no, my friend, Tony. I want to help him, not be a hindrance. I'm gonna work harder, both mentally and physically to catch up with him. Most importantly, my little gift for him is coming along nicely. I might be able to invite him over soon to take a look at it! |

STORY ARCS ARC I - Un-Tapped Potential There once was a boy all alone. No family, no friends- he had nothing but himself and the lifeless objects around him. "I know," he thought, "I'll build myself a friend- then I'll never have to be alone!" But iron and steel are no replacement for the warmth of others. Despite his talent and unending efforts, the little boy couldn't build a replacement for another human being. "I know," he thought, "I'll study hard and become successful- then people will come!" But despite his extraordinary academic performance, no one came. Faces passed by and spoke every once in a while, but there was still a lack of warmth- the passerby were no different than the cold, lifeless machines. "I know," he thought, "If people won't come to me, I'll come to them! I'll be a big strong Hero- I'll protect and save everyone! Then people will want to be my friend!" And so he began his work- the humble beginnings of Tapper, the Sticky Hero. ARC I GOALS
Once all of these are accomplished (Green and struckthrough), proceed to Arc 2. |
