The Character
Height: 05'04" Weight:137 lbs. Hair: Bright Red Eyes: Gold | Image two |
General Appearance: A generally small ish girl, she has fair, light toned skin, with bright, wild hair that refuses to stay in any particular constraint, with a few natural slivers of blonde in her front bangs. Her eyes are a bright golden color, and are usually looking towards the ground, trying to find anything of value. Shes tall enough to be seen and noticed, but not tall enough to get the cookie jar from the top shelf. | Clothing: Its a cold day in hell when she is seen without her sharp sunglasses. She wears them anytime she leaves the house, and even wears them inside, only taking them off to shower and sleep. Otherwise, her attire changes depending on where shes going, but generally has a brown trench coat with tons of pockets on the inside, where she keeps everything she needs, and doesn't need, like her wallet, keys, computer chips, wires, screwdrivers, and so on. Under this, she wears a black tank top, with baggy shorts and a tight fitting belt, which has extra pouches and slots for just about anything to fit in there. She wears heavy duty boots most of the time, she says to kick ass, but its actually to help when shes going through rough terrain.
Her Glasses | Personality: A bit of an oddball, she has both guts and smarts, though not in the way one might think. Shes book smart, and can give a scientific explanation about most anything if she wanted to, but her gutsy side makes her reckless, and jump into situations without thinking, often swinging her pickax around without thinking of the consequences. She rarely isn't expressive, often having a deep rooted scowl plastered on her face when shes bored or generally not happy, or a mischievous grin when shes on a mission, or just recently came into a butt load of money.
When she isn't digging up gold and other valuable stuff, shes trying to haggle with local markets, mostly because its fun for her, but also she wants a better deal. One of the few things she won't try to haggle over, oddly enough, is booze. Whether shes supposed to or not, if she can get some, she'll take it without too much fuss, though being a lightweight helps her conserve some of it for longer periods of time, if someone doesn't end up taking it away from her, due to her being underage.
She hates her foster parents, and often runs away. To her, they are abusing and only care about her quirk, which she both loves and hates. Though she can't prove it, and whether its true or not doesn't matter, but she believes her foster parents had her real parents killed so they could get their hands on her and her quirk, and thus acts out in defiance at every turn, embarrassing them in front of company, intentionally not telling them about rich ore deposits, trying to fist fight them, the list goes on.
Due to her upbringing, she doesn't value much if it isn't worth its weight or more in gold, including kindness. She won't just do you a favor, instead needing to feel obligated already, or to be paid for her services, even if its just someone asking for the time of day. She values her time and her person, and if someone is going to waste it, they should be ready to pay up.
This doesn't mean she doesn't know how to have fun, and often times spends a ton of money in a single night if shes happy enough or just feels like she needs a party, or the occasion calls for it. And as far as gifts are concerned, if she ever feels compelled to give them, are usually extravagant to the extreme. | Quote(s): |
History:
History: Born into a poorer family, she was happy enough growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, where she spent only the first 7 years of her life, before the tragedy happened. During one of the few outings to a movie theater, they were watching a new cartoon movie from a big production company run by a mouse man, about a princess being saved from a dragon, but she never got to find out how it ended. In the middle of the movie, a hero and villain came crashing through the roof, entangled in battle, and everyone began rushing out of the theater, but her parents were not fast enough, as her mother was grabbed and used as a human shield, her father refusing to leave without her. In the inevitable fight, they both lost their lives, and Yoko was left alone. Oh, and the hero was victorious, even with the death toll, and now orphaned child.
She was sent to an orphanage, but only spent one night there, as a married couple came to adopt her without even having the usual meeting between child and potential foster parents. She was taken to New York City, and spent much time there in their top story Pent House, when she wasn't being taken all over the U.S. and South America to find good spots for Mines and Quarries for her foster parents business ventures. It didn't take long for her to not like them, but it took her till she hit puberty to start defying them.
She would sneak out on nights before she was to fly out to who knows where to find new mines, and get into trouble, thus delaying the trip. She would do anything from petty theft, to fighting in public, and each time her foster parents paid off the police, and scolded her, punishing her relentlessly. They eventually hired guards to watch and make sure she didn't leave her room, but she just climbed out the window, and ended up getting caught before she could make it even halfway down, due to them being in a skyscraper. The Fire Department was called, and they had to get their longest truck ladder to get her safely down.
After bars were placed all around her room, she began taking apart any electronics she had, and tinkering with them, and eventually found it a fun and interesting way to pass the time. She used this to eventually escape, jerryrigging a taser out of a couple AA batteries and some wire, using a TV remote to house it, and knocking out the guards who were watching her bedroom door.
She is actually still on the run now, working with what she can get her hands on, and not really caring who she makes stuff for, so long as they pay well enough. She has no hopes for the future, just focusing on getting money and a decent place to stay, while staying way from her foster parents.

Combat, Stats & Earnings:
Combat:She learned to fight dirty in the streets, often resorting to improvised weapons. Broken bottles, trash can lids, broken chair legs, she even once used a stop sign to knock someone out. In hand to hand, she likes to have something like brass knuckles with her, though sometimes the best she could do was scrap metal in a glove, and that often her her almost as much as her target. Almost.

+25% Cash Bonus upon thread completion.
Limitations: -The distance they can sense these minerals and metals is limited by their Control Rank in Range. The rank that these minerals can be is also limited in much the same way; e.g. A D-Rank character can only find D-Rank minerals and metals in the ground.
