"We interrupt this program to bring breaking news", the reporter said into her microphone. In the background footage from a helicopter showed a school bus careening down a highway with blatant disregard for the other vehicles. "We're receiving reports that an escaped criminal has hijacked a bus full of children and is currently attempt to escape police pursuit." Four police cars were close behind, their lights flashing rapidly in their attempt to overrun the bus from either side. "There is currently no word on hero interception." As the bus zoomed past an exit, a massive woman with the scales and tail of a monster straight out of a Godzilla movie leaped onto the freeway and took off in a sprint towards the bus. Ara didn't know these kids personally but she'd be damned if anyone kidnapped them. Although her size made her fast but not as fast as the bus. She kept pace but as she burst towards the bus, jumping over the police cars and dodging other vehicles, all she could do was chase it and not actually catch up. She considered using her cannon blast to slow the bus down but refused to out of fear of hitting an innocent. She could see the children in the back, screaming and pounding on the bus' back door as they tried to get the police's attention. She didn't want to let this crook escape but if something didn't happen soon she would lose speed and would have to stop... Edited by shogungari, Oct 6 2017, 08:12 PM.

Shinwa was a simple man, none could argue against it, if there was some form of spectacle going around near him, he was inclined to participate. So imagine his surprise when, on a simple drive down the highway to get home, using a borrowed car nonetheless, there were suddenly blaring sirens, an out of control yellow bus, and what seemed to be a scantily clad dinosaur woman sprinting down the highway. The young man was, to say the absolute least, confused and surprised. His instincts told him that he had to make a choice, drive off and hope not to have the poor car stepped on and smashed by Pacific Rim The Person, or floor his gas and get involved. "Just have to wait it out... A few more seconds.." He said softly to himself, his eyes glued to the scene like it was the most anticipated movie of the century. Four, five, six seconds passed before his eyes caught the glimpse of the one thing he'd been waiting for, news helicopter. As soon as he saw the camera shining down on the spectacle his desire for fame took over his best interests, and in the blink of an eye the car he had borrowed was under the effect of his quirk. The car itself turned to a golden hue and the driver grew in size, he was ready to either make a complete ass, or a complete hero of himself on television. What better opportunity was there? He floored the gas pedal as hard as he could, the now gold-ish colored pick-up truck would soon give off the loud sound of screeching tires as it took off after the bus. The car was, unfortunately, not all that quick, but he figured the truck could at least get him just in front of the monstrous woman's speed, enough to get him into the shot he figured. "Damn it I forgot my crown... Whatever." He sighed and rolled down his window, the enlarged head of his pushing out the window and shouting the first thing that came to mind, the first thing he would say to get himself noticed "Pull the bus over, jackass!" He shouted. Maybe not the coolest thing to say, but he figured it'd be worth at least something to the people watching. |

Shinwa would see the driver and be either more confused or annoyed. The man currently stealing the bus wore a a long sleeved shirt with horizontal black and white bars going across it. His hands were covered with white gloves and his face covered by a black mask. The man wore a fedora and had a five o'clock shadow. The man looked to Shinwa with gritted teeth. "Nyah, I ain't stopping for nobody! I ain't goin' back to the big house, shee?" He replied before attempting to changing lanes. Apparently the man's quirk was being a 1920s criminal. The lane change, however, would cause him to rapidly slow down due to oncoming traffic. This in turn gave the police and Ara enough time to catch up to him. Ara leaped onto the back of the bus, clamped down on the sides with her claws, and planted her feet into the concrete. She slid with the bus as it started to lose speed, leaving behind a mile-long gash in the road where her feet cleaved through it. Eventually the bus was forced off the side of the road and to a stop where it was surrounded by the police cars. Ara wasted no time and immediately ripped the back door off, hurling it into the air and far behind her. "Go, come on!" She yelled to the kids, holding her hands out to help them to the ground. |

Shinwa couldn't help but laugh at the cartoony driver of the bus, who could? But unfortunately for him, the man wasn't the best at multitasking, so between laughing, driving, and trying to get noticed, only two seemed very likely to actually be done correctly. He couldn't stop laughing, and unfortunately for him his bodily need to not crash into something and die was much more present than his personal need to gain fame, leaving the distracted young adult no choice but to let himself get out shined by the woman who looked like she ate semi trucks and people for lunch. He found himself slamming on the brakes as the tyrannosaurus-female leaped onto the bus, else he risk getting crushed. The flash of events took a few seconds for him to fully process what actually happened, as a consequence he lagged behind the spectacle being put on by the bus and the girl by a decent margin, and when he snapped out of his daze he was pretty angry about that. "Damn it! Stupid cartoon face." he grumbled like an upset child. "What do those heroes on television normally do to try and keep themselves relevant to a situation..." He thought for a few seconds before shouting "Lie and bullshit!" And with that he slammed his brakes again, the tires screeching to a stop as he slid back onto the scene near the bus. He stepped out of his car slowly, making sure to keep his hand on it to keep up his increased size and keep up the gold color of the vehicle. He cleared his throat and started speaking loudly, half to be heard by anyone recording the incident, half to be heard by the giant woman in front of him. "No need to thank me for distracting the driver!" He said, smirking "Least I could do when kids are at stake!" |

At first Shinwa was ignored by the police and Ara. The police were attempting to coax the crook out of the bus while Ara kept the children calm. The giant woman was crouching and speaking in a soft, gentle tone as a few of the kids hugged her while crying. Luckily Shinwa would get his chance to shine. The crook, in his infinite wisdom, burst through the window of the bus and rolled down to the ground before taking off in a sprint. "You'll never take me alive, coppers!" He cackled, looking back at the police as they scrambled to chase him down but not realizing an enlarged teenager blinged out was standing in his path. Edited by shogungari, Oct 6 2017, 10:01 PM.

Shinwa frowned in anger as he realized he was being ignored, definitely not something that the young man was too keen to taking lightly. He ran a hand through his multicolored hair and tried to make a cool looking pose, which most likely would just make him look like a douche rather than someone noteworthy, but any attention was good attention at this point. He furrowed his brow and scoffed looking away from the scene and complaining under his breath "All that effort into trying to get noticed by the cameras, probably screwed up my tires actually on all that busted up road behind the skyscraper chick. By the say, skyscraper chick? How am I supposed to compete with that? I can't compete with that! I make things yellow for god's sake!" He grumbled in frustration. What definitely didn't help the frustrated teen's mood was the charging cartoon-man shouting quips and running at him. Shinwa frowned and curled his hand into a fist "And this joker! You know I could have actually done something impressive there if your stupid face wasn't so damn funny! You know how rare an opportunity like this presents itself?! Not often! And to have it ruined by some eighties style, five o'clock shadow, fedora wearing motherfucker!" He shouted at the oncoming man and swung his fist towards the villain angrily "Damn jesters, I will be king!" He shouted as he punched, which would have looked a lot more impressive if he hadn't taken his hand off the car to do so, making him shrink and causing his car to return to the dull red color it had been before being marked by Shinwa's quirk Edited by holygrail11, Oct 7 2017, 11:44 PM.

The criminal crashed to the ground, screaming "Nyaaaaaah!" The whole way down. The police ran up to cuff him, walking over to Shinwa. "Good work there, son!" They said, "He would've gotten away if it wasn't for you!" Shinwa would notice the cameras all focusing on him as the police walk the crook to the car. Ara stood up and began to quietly walk away from the scene, making sure the kids stay by the bus for safety. One of the police pointed his gun at her. "You! Hold it right there!" She turned around, confused as the man ran up to her. "You're not leaving! You're under arrest!" "What!? What for?" Ara blurted out. Her hair started to stand up, making it look thicker and bushier than normal. "Vandalism! You destroyed the back of this bus and left two gaps in the road for a full mile!" He pointed to the two skid marks from where her feet scraped into the road. The grooves left behind were deep enough to flip a car. "But I was trying to save the children..." Ara pleaded, stepping back defensively. "Excuses! You should be more like that gentleman back there, you monster!" |

Shinwa looked up as the attention was suddenly turned to him, looking a little confused for a second, why was he suddenly getting attention now after just shouting something stupid and taking his anger out on the nearest person to him? He shrugged and decided to embrace it, smiling and looking to the cameras "Well what can I say? I was always a natural born doer of good deeds." He said, copying something stupid he heard some upstart hero say over the news. He smiled and waved to the cameras, laughing and bowing at certain points while talking nonsense to the cameras and police. His attention, however, was momentarily directed towards the mountainous woman behind him, and the police officer currently pointing a gun at her. Now, while Shinwa was willing to do whatever it took to get himself acclaimed and famous, he wasn't entirely morally bankrupt, not yet at least. He thought for a moment and considered an option, he could take the gains he caught just by punching the villain and leave, get a passing fame as a local hero for maybe a month or so, or he could go for the bigger gain, the potential outcry. Stopping a villain with a punch is something that might get you mentioned around pubs for a few days, but if he worked against the police in an effort to serve a higher moral good, especially for a girl? That's the kind of stuff that goes viral. He slammed his hand back onto the hood of his car, the car turning gold colored and Kunshu himself growing in size. He shouted "Run!" At the large female, sweeping his leg at the legs of the police man who was pointing the gun, quickly scrambling into his car and slamming down the gas pedal, the tires screeching before he took off down the highway, hoping the kaiju woman would follow. |

Not waiting a moment, Ara turned around and ran while the police tried to get to their feet in time. "After her!" One of the cops yelled, pointing to Ara. They scrambled into their cars and began to drive her down as she sprinted down the side of the freeway. She looked for a point to jump off that was safe, jumping cars and sidestepping trucks. Yet no matter how fast she ran the police eventually caught up to her. Desperately, she leaped from the highway into a nearby river, causing the riverbank to be flooded from the wave created. The cops drove to a halt and started looking for an exit before starting up again and eventually driving off road down the river's side. |

Shinwa hardly noticed the girl had jumped overboard over his own panic. For his first major 'throne chase', as he called whatever activities he did to try and get famous, this one seemed to be getting particularly scary, and he was out of marks for the day to be trying to fight anyone, especially people with guns. He did notice, however, when all the police cruisers rushed down to chase her. He gave a sigh and stopped his car for a moment. Once again it seemed that he was faced with a choice, he could drive down the river bed and try his best to try and help the run-away woman, risking his life, car, and freedom for a stranger and bit more fame, or he could play it safe and use this opportunity to run away himself. He thought for a moment, heavily leaning towards the 'get out of dodge while you still can', but then again he didn't want an angry woman the size of a building after him. He stopped his car momentarily, climbing out while keeping his hand on the hood of it. "'Ey! Big lady!" He shouted out, hoping she could hear him "I'm gonna see about getting these kids out of the road! Best of luck to ya!" He finished with, climbing back into his truck and slamming the gas pedal hard, the vehicle screeching down the highway, in the opposite direction of the bus. "Hope that girl's gonna be alright, seemed nice. Fuck all if I'm gonna be the one to save her though, I did my part." He said to himself as he drove away from the scene |

Comments: An interesting scenario, which sadly suffered a bit in execution. Sometimes I was confused about what was going on, because there wasn`t enough of a description on things. Also, some of the things are pretty awkward statvise, like Ara keeping up with a driving bus. Even if she is 3 meters tall, at D-rank speed, it isn`t gonna be easy to keep up with a bus. |
