For a summer day, today wasn't actually quite hot. In the same vein, for a summer day it was pretty damn cold in the closest forest in proximity to Tatooin. its during these times where you see contrasting ideas, both hot and cold, that you can truly appreciate the variety we see in the world, don't you think? Samui walked through the forest, letting her shoes crunch down on the leaves beneath her, and looked around for a stream. if one followed streams attentively, they could find greater, much larger sources of water, and Samui knew this fact. She ran up along the water, hopping upon rocks and leaping over tumbled logs until she soon met a large cliff side. "Oh!...That's not really what I expected, but I guess that's fine." Samui spoke, looking up toward the gigantic obstacle before her. "Well, I'll just go around then!" Samui said defiantly, dashing to her left. Soon she came across an opening in the 'wall' the mountain had created, and she shoved her body up onto a ledge. Samui pushed herself on through, climbing over what were essentially naturally formed steps, and let herself rise in elevation. At the peak of this great experience was a plateau, that stood gently above the trees before her but far, far lower than the clouds above. Samui began to stretch, and sat herself down to look at the great world before her. "Yeah... this is why I wanna do it." she spoke, looking at her hands "This is why I want to keep it safe." she repeated. Samui stood up after those hours of waiting, and basked in the gentle warmth the air provided. "You don't get any better by sitting around and not using what'cha got! so lets get movin'!" she said, beginning to run down the other side of the cliff. Samui closed her eyes for a few seconds, focusing on the connection between her and her quirk, and as naturally as the young and still a rookie could muster, she began to gently convert the air around her into a constantly falling light snow. (Technique: Winter Wonderland, -10 LP) Using her quirk was not the most comfortable experience for Samui, the warmth made her feel much more comfortable -- but she knew that the path ahead was not paved with comfort but hardship. A gentle trail of snow could be seen, quickly melting and tipping the grass behind her with what was essentially dew as it melted. Samui walked through the forest, focusing intently on maintaining the snowfall "Draw the heat in... steady... not too fast -- so as to freeze it, but enough to create something beautiful." spoke Samui. Soon she landed in a clearing, with a large open space that let a bright ray of sunshine flow through, and Samui sat in the center. The grass around her grew more frigid -- but did not crystalize to ice, and the snow began to form a thin sheet around her, kept in its solid form by the reduction of heat by Samui's quirk. "Now we wait... I think" Samui said, letting out a giggle as she put her mouth up to cover her embarrassing laugh. Techniques used, LP cost |

Sweet Baby Lemon Hands, the wizard, is here to the rescue!

It was about the time of Summer when Christine decided to go out on a new routine plan, this consisted of mainly running around and trying to 'hit the books' as the hip kids would say. Though it wasn't all easy when trying to improve herself just weeks before the Sports Festival, her usual timid posture and appearance being a bit of a problem when an occasional onlookers would ask her questions pertaining to her training. "M-Man, do I really look that fr-fragile?" She said quietly to herself as she tried running up and down a few sets of stairs, though this almost prompted her to trip a few times due to her clumsiness. On the way down the stairs, she let one of her feet slip against the stairs, her body almost falling back as she panicked. "W-Woah!" She exclaimed as she had to desperately grab onto the side railing to keep her balance stable. ". . . Maybe I should take a break after that." She continued on with the conversation with herself as she carefully went down the set of stairs and reached for what looked to be a very familiar case - her violin case of course! She was currently at one of the parks located in Tatooin, though she wouldn't of minded taking a trip to someplace more secluded - even if that trip was going to be a few hours or so depending. "Where should I head to?" She said quietly to herself as she began on her trip to wherever her feet would take her, the only faint sounds being a soft breath or a low hum escaping the fragile girl's lips. She wasn't sure why she had even been trying so hard to make such an impact on the upcoming Sports Festival, it wasn't like she was going to be the best one there out of all other first years who'd be attending - especially Isamu, who she'd known how well he could handle his quirk regarding the beautiful but deadly cherry blossoms. "Perhaps I should tell him?... Hmm, but then it wouldn't be a surprise anymore." She continued as her trip was taking a turn into territory she never travel before. Her current location was surely not in Tatooin anymore, but as to say exactly where was up for debate as her feet was crunching against the leaves left on the ground. This poor girl had been so caught up in thought about her boyfriend and the upcoming festival, that she got lost! Typical considering Christine's clumsy nature, she was sure enough stuck in what looked to be a forest of sorts - the trees surrounding her just varying in different sizes and color as the occasional leaf or pine cone felt onto the ground. "Maybe I should bring my vio-... wait a minute..." She began as she stopped in the middle of the said forest, her eyes trying her best to scan the area while blinking a few times as if to confirm if this was a dream. "W-Where am I?!" She almost hollered before quickly covering her mouth with both hands so as to let the silence quickly envelop the previous outburst of sound. She didn't know where she was, which was unfortunate, but all she could really do at this point was keep moving forward - besides, if things got too fishy for her she could of always zipped Isamu a text should she need it. "Okay... it's just a forest, it's just like the one you used to go to all the time - nothing too bad!" She said proudly to herself in order to cheer herself up, though it was obvious that after she moved her hands away from her mouth that she was still a bit scared. "I should maybe find a sp-spot to play at, that sounds good." She said before going to adjust her violin that was strapped over her shoulder, if there was ever a time as any for a spot to sit - it would of had to be now. Or! Christine had the sudden idea as she began sprinting through the forest, her eyes catching what looked to be a river bank! "Perfect!" She exclaimed before taking a moment to look at the clear water and her own reflection blaring off of it. Though it wasn't long that Christine shuffled around a bit to take her violin off of her shoulder, the case then resting carefully on the floor before popping the locks and showing off what appeared to be an ebony violin. With a few coughs and a big smile, she adjusted the bow just before reaching for the violin to rest it underneath her chin - now was a good of a time to play as any since she was nervous for many reasons. "Alright, let's begin." She sighed out before letting her bow rock back and forth against the strings, the sound that was being produced afterwards would soon try its best to fill what she assumed to be the empty forest - though she also knew she couldn't stay in one spot, which lead her to make her way around the forest. Her eyes were scanning for anything that might of interested her, though she was only approaching what looked to be a clearing but it was still a little ways out. |

The snow fell softly around Samui, gently falling onto the top of the grass. Samui let herself breathe in... out... in... out... with a sort of endless and mindless repetition. She held her hand up, palm facing the sky -- and caught small snowflakes. She opened her eyes and looked at them, smiling as she did. "This is great... even if it's super uncomfortable because it's cold, this is great." Samui said, rising up. She felt her body passively sucking heat from the air, causing the snow around her. Unlike before, however, she was not thinking about the application of her quirk. "First... let it swell inside you, and then let it flow." she spoke. Samui rose her hands, letting out punches and kicks towards the air -- all while maintaining a sort of blank-mind focus on her quirk. "You can't think about it in the heat of battle -- it just has to be natural." Samui said as she swung her foot as high as she could in a kick. Samui tumbled backwards, all while the snow remained constant. Samui picked up the pace, slamming her fist around harder, she grew intense, yelling out as she threw her limbs around -- and the snow began to grow random, breaking apart and becoming less easy to maintain compared to before. "No!" Samui yelled out, trying to maintain her previous state, but alas -- the snow grew ever random. Samui sat back down, focusing again on the quirk -- and brought it back to it's original power. "You can't expect to be all calm when fighting a villain... you need to be one with your quirk!" Samui said, slamming her fist into the ground. She rose up and repeated the process. Soon, hours had passed, and Samui sat down -- the good part about her hard work and exercise was that it produced heat throughout her body, enough to keep her from becoming uncomfortably cold while using her quirk. "It's all about energy in... energy out" Samui spoke, smiling as she rubbed her forehead. One good thing to come out of the quirk was that she did not sweat all that much, as the heat generated from exercise was never enough to compete with her cold blood for total body dominance. Samui stood up as the snow fell around her, and listened to the sound of birds, the crunching of leaves, the sound of a violin playing oddly winter themed music in summer -- wait what. Samui turned her head to the sound of the violin "No one comes out here... ever. Who could be over there?" Samui said. she started to jog in the direction of the music. Samui entered the woods, putting herself up against tree after tree, and slowly working her way towards the noise in as stealthy a manner as she could muster. "whoa... that sounds so cool!" Samui whispered to herself, moving behind another tree, pushing her body up against it's crisp bark. "I wish I had talent like that..." Samui spoke, putting her hand up to her throat "But I guess everyone has talents elsewhere huh? Maybe my talent is... uh..." Samui said, looking at her hands. "I don't really know... being cold? that's not a talent... that's just some random thing I was given at birth... I've not had to work hard for it at all -- I'm still barely able to control it..." Samui said, a little disheartened by her comments. Samui walked on toward the noise as it grew ever louder, and spotted within her sight a brown haired woman, moving with grace as she played the violin -- and for the most part, who seemed to be truly happy doing what they were doing. Samui looked on in appreciation, and then thought of what to do. "Hey!" Samui yelled out to the woman, hoping she could hear her over the violin. She jogged on down toward the woman, opening her mouth to speak "You're so good with that! Who are you? Why are you out here?" Samui asked, all the while forgetting that snow gently fell down around her -- emphasizing her white hair and bright blue eyes. The air around her grew a gentle cold, enough so that you could feel it tingle at your fingers and nip at your nose. Samui grew colder, but not so much so that she began to feel extremely uncomfortable. |
