Minoru wasn’t entirely sure how this day was going to go. Indeed, the very idea of what was planned seemed ludicrous when he thought about it, but here he was. With prompting from his sister, the young man had decided to reach out to his teammates? Friends? Whatever they were, and make a suggestion that he wouldn’t have even dared to say aloud previously. The way they had worked together over the course of their first school year so far suggested a level of teamwork that he had never imagined that he could have found with anyone besides Miyu. So it was that he had put forward the idea that they scout out a suitable location for future work, a base of operations that could one day be used to start their very own office.

They were young yet, and still had years to go before they could even consider graduating from U.A, but between them they had the funds necessary to put such plans into action, and the sooner they began the better their situation would be once they could actually practice their chosen career.

He had sent out a message to the other three, and they had responded with varying answers that left him just a little uncertain if they had agreed to the proposition or not. Still, there was enough there that led him to think at least one of them had agreed to meet today to do as he had suggested, and so he waited patiently on the outskirts of Tatooin for whoever decided to come. He leaned casually against the car that he and his sister were permitted to use, riffling through the pages of a book that barely held his interest. Hideki was sitting in the driver’s seat waiting to take him wherever he directed, and he could just make out the shape of the man’s wireless earphones as he obviously listened to something to help him pass the time.

Minoru almost wished he could do the same.

With a sigh he put the book away and folded his arms over his chest, eyes slipping closed as he tried to meditate in the way his Master had taught him. Such meditation allowed one to be hyper aware of their surroundings while also losing themselves in the passing of time. Truth be told, Minoru sucked at it, unable to clear his mind enough to fall into the sort of trance that his teacher described to him. He’d seen the man sit in the same spot for more than twenty four hours without seeming to move even a muscle.

Instead, the young man was focused on something else, his thoughts falling to the conversation he had with his paternal grandfather. It had been painfully hard to ask the old man for advice, and for several long moments he thought that he’d get a beating for daring to pose such a question. Instead, the eldest Tanaka had given him a referral to someone ‘trustworthy and discreet’ to help them find something workable. He’d arranged to meet with the person in approximately half an hour, so all that he needed to do now was see if anyone else decided to show up.

He wasn’t too sure what he’d do if all of them ended up turning him down.

Hiroko awoke with a start, her eyes rapidly opened and her body jolting up slightly before she fully awoke. Groaning as she took in the morning sunlight, Hiroko sat up on her dorm bed, closing her eyes and putting a hand to her head as she tried to calm her rapidly beating heart. She’d had that dream again, the one with the darkness and the glimmer of light. The one where that light flickered out, and a hundred spotlights all turned on, aimed at Hiroko. One of those unexplainably weird dreams, but also the kind that made the victim inexplicably uneasy.

The short haired girl reached for her phone, as she did every morning, to check the time and any new messages. Nothing of note had come in, though. Hiroko scrolled past a few unread or unanswered messages from friends, even from Miyu. And past the single message she’d received not too long ago, the one that’d been in her head ever since. The one from Mariko. She flicked past it quickly, almost as though she was afraid it would jump at her. Next, she looked once again at a short exchange with Minoru. The same one he’d sent to Sumiye and Isamu, that inquired about the possibility of seeking their future hero office location. Hiroko had replied simply:

”I’ll try to make it.”

An unusual text for her, really. Proper grammar and spelling, and not littered with emojis and kaomojis like many of her other messages. But it fully encapsulated her thoughts on the plans. Though, after sending the message, she’d made up her mind on whether or not she’d attend.

Hiroko once again groaned as she stood up from her bed, before going through her regular morning routine and preparing herself to face the day ahead! Once she’d thrown on a t-shirt and shorts, she set out from her dorm room, to attend another meeting with her ‘team’. To stand aside them once again and smile and enjoy their company, even if they weren’t performing the most interesting task. Even if she had to force herself to have fun.

It’d be unfair to them otherwise, right?

Walking familiar streets to their meeting destination, Hiroko was already enjoying the calmness of the city she knew so well. It was soothing, kept one’s mind clear. God, it felt good to have her worries pushed aside, even for a moment. It reminded her that she really ought to get out more, like she used to.

After a bit of a walk, Hiroko spotted the boy who’d organised everything. Minoru Tanaka was leant against his family’s car, seemingly relaxing. Immediately, Hiroko felt awkward for being the first one to arrive. With how… Distant she’d been with Miyu lately, she couldn’t help but feel irrationally uneasy around her brother. She shook her head, dispelling any thoughts that Minoru might judge her or bring anything up. Miyu was their mutual connection, yes, but she and Minoru were still friends in their own right. At least, she thought so.

”Y-Yo, Minoru-kun…” Hiroko would quietly call out to her friend, not sure if she was interrupting him. He seemed to be quite focused on whatever it was he was thinking about.

Sumiye had always been a multitasker.

She could do so with ease, balancing many things in her typically cleared head. What she was currently doing, however, was not something she should have been doing at once.

With her hands guiding a piece of fabric through a sewing machine, Sumiye was currently trying to also learn some quick phrases in English. For Gale, of course.

A convention was coming up soon, forcing Sumiye back into her childhood home to work on her Lucina cosplay. The sewing machine would have gotten her quite a few noise complaints, so she had dragged Shinjiro back with her to the Suo Mansion. He didn't mind it, though. Or, at least, he wasn't vocal about it.

Sumiye sat at the desk behind her curtain, listening to an enthusiastic AI trying to get her to say such an endearing term,"Say it with me! "I love you"."

She turned the fabric, beginning to stitch together another side,"I r-ruo-ruo-ruove y-yo-you." Being unable to get the word down was frustrating her, her hands starting to wrinkle the fabric with each syllable missed.

"Try again!"

"I will do no such thing, you blasted, condescending artificial intelligence! I should have just read-" The needle in the sewing machine was stopped. By Sumiye's finger, no less. She turned the machine off, but it seemed she was too late to react.

It had struck through her nail and tip of her index finger, blood starting to drip down the end of the needle onto her cosplay. More inconvenienced than panicked, she released the needle from the machine, staring at her finger with a scowl.

"Brother, can you come here a second?" She exasperatingly called for her brother, picking up the cell phone next to her.
A text from Minoru that she hadn't noticed during her English lesson was sitting in her messages, and she read it over.

To: Minoru Tanaka( ̄^ ̄)

Cannot type- currently bleeding.

-Sumiye

Without thinking twice of what she had typed out to Minoru, Sumiye hit send.

"Should I be worried?" She heard her brother open the door behind her, asking in the same anxious tone he always had. Ah, Shinjiro. Always so punctual when it came to his idiot sister's well-being.
"No, actually. There is no need to. 'Tis only a small prick."

She swiveled around in her chair, lifting her hand up to show her brother,"Through my finger." He frowned, sighing as went to go fetch his first aid kit.

So now, with the help of her very concerned brother, she was walking to the meet-up with a bandaged finger. Luckily, thanks to his knowledge of medicine, he was able to successfully remove it. The thing was, though, is that it hurt. A lot.

Removing the needle got quite a bit of blood on her skirt, so she was forced to change into something much less comfortable. The only thing that was still in her old closet was the clothes her father had gifted her ages ago. So now, along with her new injury, she looked as if she was coming back from a date to a funeral. A knee length, sleeveless, black sheath dress with the same jacket she had definitely not stolen from Gale she was wearing earlier.

Overdressed? Yes. But, again, it was the only thing she had.
Already bitter as it is, Sumiye didn't want to even see the team after the Midterm. With the way that she'd blown up in Minoru's face still fresh on her mind, she would have rather stayed back and licked her wounds like the feral cat she is. Part of her knew it wasn't right to put him on the spot like that. The test they were all put through was stressful, but it was something more.

Seeing Isamu covered in his own blood again wasn't something she wanted at the end of the exam. The closest person to blame was Minoru, and her lashing out after all that pressure just... happened. She couldn't take it back, and she wasn't going to. It would most likely sort itself out eventually.

Arriving at the set destination didn't take but 10 minutes since Sumiye had lived near where Minoru had said anyway. Luckily for her, Hiroko had arrived before her. It would make it much less awkward now that there was another person there to keep a conversation going.

"Minoru. Hiroko." Sumiye greeted her two friends, heels clicking against the pavement before she came to a stop.

As was usually the case, the weather in Tantooin was fine and clear today as Isamu finished up his morning exercises, vaulting up the steps of his Tantooin apartment. Whilst he was more than happy with his accommodations at U.A during the week, he always elected to stay in his city apartment for the weekends. One, because it was much closer to pretty much everything than U.A, but also because it gave him the opportunity to spend more time with Christine seeing as how he wasn't able to see her most of the week with his school schedule.

Though he found it strange that a couple of months after she moved in that Chrissy started insisting that Isamu send her numerous texts whenever he intended to come over, he didn't comment. Whatever it was she needed the warning for wasn't for him to pry into, she would tell him if and when she wanted or needed to. It was still too early for Chrissy to be awake, she always seemed to sleep in on the weekends, though Isamu was trying to break her out of that habit, it was after all the best time of the day to get a workout in.

He slipped inside quietly and snuck into the shower to clean himself of the film of sweat that was now clinging to his body. As he washed himself he caught sight of himself in the mirror, immediately noticing the large and relatively new scar on the left side of his face, trailing over his eye. It served as a strong reminder to Isamu of both Minoru's proficient skill with a blade and his own carelessness. Catching sight of the injury spurned his memory, causing himself to quicken his pace a little.

On the way out the door he took another look at the message Minoru had sent him a few days ago.

It certainly wasn't the strangest text message Isamu had ever received, but it was slightly....different coming from Minoru. The details were somewhat vague, all he knew was that his friend wanted their group to meet, on the outskirts of Tantooin. Seeing as he didn't exactly have any concrete plans in place, Isamu had sent back a quick message of affirmation.

Isamu was glad for the chance to have everyone together again, their meetings had been somewhat sporadic at school the past few weeks, busy schedules keeping interactions outside of class a lot shorter than he would have liked. He would have elected to drive himself to the meeting point, but he wasn't sure how long they would be there, or what they would be doing for that matter. So in the end he just called a cab.

He was dropped off just around the corner from where he suspected they were all meeting. When he walked around the building he noticed that he was the last to arrive, both Hiroko and Sumiye already standing nearby Minoru and luckily, his car.

The closer he got, the easier it was to notice the tension in the air, what little conversation he could make out seemed strained. There was only one thing that Isamu could think of as the cause, Sumiye's outburst against Minoru during their Midterm Examinations. It was something he had tried to, well, forget since that day. From what he knew of Sumiye, he was sure that the girl would most likely regret it, but that she would also be too stubborn to say anything about it.

It was something that Isamu both liked, and dreaded about his friend. She was certainly headstrong, and wasn't exactly afraid to speak her mind which was refreshing to say the least. Though sometimes, as in the case of the Midterms, she could take it a little bit too far. All he could hope for today was that there was no mention of the events a few weeks prior, it was the last thing they needed.

He gave a lazy wave and a smile as he drew nearer to the group. He was eager to see what Minoru's plan for the day was.

"Hey guys. So what are we up to Minoru?" he asked nonchalantly.
