Rolling waves crashed into the sand beach as the sea-foam danced with a smokey-crimson devil. Mercutio sat relaxed in the sun, eyes closed and face to the heavens. Each wave that rolled in caused him to curl his toes ever so and each consecutive rush of cool over top his feet was even more refreshing then the last. In the moment, despite random shipwrecks ruining the horizon line, this was the place he truly needed to be. Away from the city, the people... the disappointment and it all. Times were changing.![]() Mercutio stood slowly, brushing of the scratchy sand from his bare legs which his cargo shorts didn't cover and made his way to the house again. It was about time Thane and Rory got moving. It had only be a few days of rest from their bout of the sports festival and Mercutio already had another task to throw at them. Mercutio believed whole-heartily that idle hands were the devil's play-thing and refused to create any situation that could be considered detrimental to those around him. Ever since Demous, those he started to be fond of, those he found sanctuary and comfort in all fell at his feet and even his purpose for being in Japan all together had vanished and in his mind it was because he claimed to be unbiased while laying waste in a matter of a mongrel from another era of time where life was simpler and far more bloody. Mercutio knew his mistakes and he felt put himself out here as punishment was a good idea. Those who want to find him may risk their lives, and those who need not worry now don't have to worry. "I'm treating myself like I am the fucking One Piece, might as well call me Gol. D Rogers for fuck sake." he said in irritation to the door as he walked inside to his air conditioned home. He went directly to his desk and pulled a manila-colored folder out from a drawer. It appeared padded and held a decent amount of paper in it due to the bulkiness of the package. "Hey, Cosmic-Vomit, Coconut-kun. Let's get in here, I have something I want to talk about." he bellowed to the ceiling in attempts to have those outside hear him. Last he knew, Jonah and Rory were outside among themselves going over UA related events of the past. It had been a few months since Mercutio talked to anyone really. Jonah, Ari... they were around, but Mercutio didn't connect to them as he did Gavin. When a person has been inside your head and has seen the hellscape you call your life, it is hard to find someone else you trust or are willing to trust that much again. Somewhere in Mercutio's heart, he knows Gavin's death was because of something he did, and Mercutio acknowledges the fact that he will one day pay the price for it... in blood. This was it, this quiet little island had been his home for the past month... As peaceful as it was here, he couldn't really focus on the scenery. The exams were over, and he wasn't exactly pleased with everything he had done. he hadn't been ready for the everything they threw at him. Flipping through pages of notes taken about the exam he was in, Jonah put checks beside everything he would have to work on before he was shoved onto a yellow bus and tossed into the middle of a strange environment filled with even stranger threats. "Team work, err... Checking that. Combat? I guess I can just throw something heavy, but something a little more refined would help out... " He mumbled, muttering under his breath as he scanned the six pages of notes he had written. Making contingency plan- Oh, yeah theres making friends too. That's important, and at the same time something he knew nothing about. He tapped his sandal into the soft grass surrounding the house. If this U.A thing works out I might have a better chance of getting my face o- His brief thought would cross his mind only to hear the loud voice of his host. "Be there in a second!" He shouted, tucking the notepad he had into a satchel. Which one of them was Comic-vomit? Didn't matter, Mercutio needed to talk. Picking himself up off the ground, Jonah made his way inside Kame House and up to Mercutio. It had been... Many, many months since he had even spoken to anyone in Demous. Almost like little Jonah's brain had turned off again leaving him like a vegetative zombie state that only responded to commands. Even now since Gavin's death taking to Mercutio seemed like just the slightest bit of a bad idea. The cowgirl, wherever she was, was kind of scary. Then there was the alcohol man, who he never actually introduced himself to. Edited by Thane, Apr 13 2017, 02:10 AM.

Rory was still disappointed with his performance at the exam. Surely there was more he could have done. He had done alright, but he figured there was so much more he needed to work on. For know he just worked on his stamina by swimming laps around the island. The body is 70% water and he was sure that by now it was salt water. He came back on to shore after losing count of the laps and laid in the sun which was always out. He needed nourishment. He rolled over and got himself up. Standing up he only now realized that he was under the coconut tree. His hand slapped onto his face holding it in shame. Embarrassment. Stupidity. Fake ass coconut tree. He grumbled to himself despising that moment of mental failure. It was still the bane of his existence here on the island. And now he would be reminded of it constantly since there was only the house and this blasted tree. Honestly...could it be any more boring aesthetically? His teacher called out to him. If teacher was even the right word. More of a manga loving maniac who got an island. Rory did wonder how he get this island...and the house on it. But at least he was not as pervy as the guy he was emulating. Brooding much more so. Rory also felt like there was some more directed at him. They had only talked at his training sessions with Jonah. Throwing out all of these comic references and moves he wanted them to try. But Rory wanted to get blade training especially after clubbing those robots like seals. Pathetic. He was happy for a place to train at the least. He strolled to where he heard the voice come from. What is it you want now? We don't have training time today. I checked. Twice! Rory walked pasted him to reach the fridge for that sweet sweet coconut water. It glistened in the fridge. Tantalizing. He crack the top open and chugged half of it. Pure bliss. |

"This isn't training, this is a mission to test what we have went over. Of course, I want to work with each of you to develop something that will help you in the field without me. I will leave it up to the both of you..." he continued as Jonah entered, "as to whether this should work in conjunction with one another or not... this is up to you." he finished simply, his Mercutio-esque rants not being as much rant as guidance. The events of the pass were truly shaping the man he was becoming... for better or worse. Opening the envelop while they deliberated between the two of them two tickets from Tokyo's International Airport to the Washingonton D.C. Placing these on the table, Mercutio fished a few more papers out. The first seemed to be a set of sets to work the GPS Beacons that control the teleportation aspects of their home. While the geographical reallocation system was quite useful, it was quite difficult to place the metallic nodes without investment and risk of those placing it. Mercutio was still on a few peoples radar due to his actions in the pass still. After spreading out the instruction he stretched a map with coordinates and placed the GPS beacon along with an odd watch of sorts. "The sooner we come to our conclusion, the quicker we can all move forward, so what have the both of you." he inquired patiently. |

A mission? That'd be his first since his first days on the bus... He couldn't just be a bum and mooch off the fridge and sleep all day, living on the island for free. So, Jonah stood there and listened to Mercutio. "We're going to America?" As much as he was hoping to go to Canada instead, he still sounded happy about it. Jonah's eyes locked on the two tickets and the several papers that had been put out in front of him and Rory. Jonah didn't quite understand the scientific bits and pieces on the papers about the connection of the nodes and the house's teleportation wibbly wobbly. Only how to set up and activate the nodes... Which was probably for the best considering his limited understanding of science, aside from the brute aspect of the application of physical force to to lift and then break things. "So you want us to set up some beacons for the house then? What are the risks aside from the obvious risk of a plane crashing?" Jonah didn't sound nearly as concerned as he should have been over being given a mission so many months after he was brought into their hold. The gravity defying amputee would tap his mechanical right leg for just a moment before speaking again."Life or limb?" While he didn't know Mercutio very well, he had already figured it was a bit worse than the exams in regards to risk, another missing limb, broken bones, and the possibility of death. The cabinets were getting thin of snacks. Rory decided for the wasabi peas. Damn they needed some new snacks. Some tortilla chips or even a pop tart. Needed to restore the fatty reserves that were produced from his home. Also some southern sweet tea. He listened to the remainder of the plan. All in all simple in and out. Only problem was going to D.C. He didn't like this. He wanted his debut back home to be glorious. Now it would be as a basic bitch errand boy. He had a pretty negative image there. Not necessarily in D.C., but who knows how well people could remember face. Rory just thought of the media exposure of his parent's spun story fall and death. It would be hard enough to not knock some heads together if that came up. He didn't really know about this special move jazz either. Thane had plenty of versatility. Rory had seen him do some crazy moves in the exam and on the island. Sparring was near impossible because Rory would just be made weightless and thrown. It was pretty infuriating to be honest. He needed something more to bump him to the next level. He wasn't sure weapon, gadgets, or some type of move. He didn't know what moves he could more than he had now. It'll be pretty rough going back for my part. We might catch flack for it and I don't want to be the reason for another mess up. The exam was a prime example of that. Attack without knowledge. Accessing situations were his constant mental task now. Also with his physical training had all been on his mind. Rory finished the remaining water. Glorious flavor. He tossed it in the trash. He couldn't be disposable. He had to provide some measured value. Maybe this was a test for that reason. All the others had left or maybe sent away. We should definitely work together on this one. Also there are some groceries I want to get. Tired of all this Japanese diet of rice and massive cooked meats. |

"Well, you would be on the plane. I doubt it would crash." Mercutio laughed as his mist wrapped Jonah's hand's in a single, encompassing circle as if to indicate why the plane would be fine. A soft grin and a firm grasp on his hand could be felt for a moment before the red dissipated into the air. Mercutio said this not because Jonah could physically, but he could see the potential within him. In his actions, in his words and ways and all things he does and Mercutio knew this; after all, a would-be Sensei had his ways of gaining knowledge, it was his current priority to help in order to make up for the wrong doings of the past. Thanks to the work of Principal Yamada, Mercutio had video on many individuals whom he found interest in. Some he could already see being the Lucy of tomorrow and some were showing great promise while others were showing a darkness Mercutio himself flirts with all to regularly. Mercutio had already talked over how he worked with Jayden. Mercutio has his own students, but likes to work with UA as an extension. It's far easier to work independently within the confines of the system then fighting against them in the same fight. Currently, Mercutio found himself with students before Class 2 even rolled in: Gold-heart Jonah and Spit-fire Rory; and although Jonah had been tagging along with them for a while now, it was only recently he began moving forward and Mercutio wondered if it had anything to do with Rory. Mercutio found Rory just before the Exams that Jonah had long been planning on attending and Mercutio thought that his own quick interest may have rilled him up a bit. Rory had only been on Mercutio radar for a few months and found himself to be the sole reason the boy managed to get to the exams with a few other students whom shipwrecked; and while his attitude was enough to peak Mercutio's interests, the kicker was Rory's quirk, Pain for One and the situation that created their meeting. Mercutio had only just lost his friend, Gavin, a user of the quirk himself and from what Mercutio was told, it was supposedly rare. This is when Rory showed up. In Mercutio's eyes, Rory was his chance to do right by Gavin and protect him like Mercutio couldn't before... but this boy was different. It's like he should have been born with a true fire quirk. The man's head bobbed along in acknowledgement and after hearing both of their concerns, he addressed them only to have his own thoughts flirt with him in the front of his mind. Shit... Colorado isn't where Void-bitch-chan ran off too.. shit... eh, I doubt it...meh "As far as risks, I'd say getting lost as the wilderness have marked out thoroughly on the map. There are some rather savage creatures in those areas, it's a sort of... added defense for the area I don't have to pay for." he laughed as a joint wobbled in air the single-set staircase lazily before plopping into his mouth. Crimson condensed at the tip of his smoke before sparks cracked and a flame sparked to allow him time to create a red hot cherry. The soft, yellow flame sat in the air for a moment as Mercutio took a deep inhale and gave a heavy sigh to exhale the smoke in such a way that it bathed his face in the cloud like vapor. "Every person or creature I have crossed is dead or in hiding, I wouldn't worry." he remarked casually, not taking into account that Rory most likely wasn't aware of how Mercutio formally operated... the term formally used loosely. "If it comes to anything the two of you can't handle, use this watch and it will alert me and I can come help, just make sure the GPS beacon is on the ground. Don't worry about damaging it, it's made extremely durable for a reason." he wheezed gently, sliding the watch that was on the table at both of them and showing them on his wrist which button to push which happened to be the left side of the watch when you are looking at it's face. The left side had two buttons, the top for distress and the other was made programmable to perform multiple function. Currently, the device is set to ping a message confirming the GPS Beacons placement to indicate to Mercutio to activate the process and pick his two students on a successful mission. Thankfully, this was all in their paperwork and Mercutio felt no need to explain, yet another test all of it's own. "However, the goal is that it doesn't come to me babysitting, I don't really think I need to for you both... and everyone likes flashy new techniques... so let's go make some waves." he said with a smile, walking out on to the beach. He took a firm stance in the sand, his toes dug into the white beach with a firm, monkey-like grip. He postured himself and took of the clothing that remained on his upper body while facing the ocean. "You see, I made my home out here, not because I hate people.." he said as the crimson that natural swirled around him swam through the air and gathered in his hands which were now pressed together wrist against wrist. "But because I don't need to fear exposure of my most grand and deadly abilities and these are what I want you two to have in your arsenals. I know you can do it, I see it in you.. quite literally in fact. You bond energy within you is unfathomable, you all just need to find what is caging you. This is what our motto means Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics. "In vision it, and make it reality. I will show you what that mind set can do and what I know you both can achieve in your own way." he went on with a big smile, excited do to something he has always wanted to do since before his quirk was what it was now. If he could make the fucking weather go cloudy with thunder and lighting he would, but the damn perfect location he was in and the fact that he could control the weather was stopping this anime-perfect scene. For the moment, he felt a bit of enjoyment for the first time and of course it was doing something extremely otaku. Even though the air did not hold a hue of red, Mercutio hair flurried around him as though his aura was whipping around him at violent speeds and the pressure around him began to build as though they were in a pressured cabin. "Oh, and for the moment... don't touch anything crimson that ripples off me... and I hope you learned to swim." he said, unsure how his ability would effect those around him. "Kaa-me..." he said with a stern, gravelly voice as he attempted not to giggle with joy and excitement like a child in front of his pupils. Thankfully, his ego caused him to shape-up a bit a try to take his first serious training moment more serious regardless of how extremely, nerdly-orgasmic the situation was for him. "HAAAA.. “Yeah, if we worked together we’d be able to get things done faster… and stopping at a farmers market wouldn’t hurt. I could use some food that isn’t completely drenched in soy sauce for once.” He would turn his head to rory and nod his head in approval of fetching some groceries. There wasn’t any problem with the rice and ramen diet, at least, not for Jonah. It was just how everything he bought and brought home miraculously wound up covered in soy sauce. Steak soy, Pork and Soy, occasionally Ice cubes and soy sauce. All very poor choices of meals during his time in Japan. As reassuring as the encircling grasp around Jonah’s right hand should have been, it wasn’t as calming as it should have been. It was like having a red ghost made of energy just suddenly reach out and just bap him on the hand gently. “Eh, the plane isn’t what I was worried about, but yeah. Its reassuring to know that most of the people that have caused you problem are in a ditch right now or under a different name then…” He smiled, shutting his mouth right after to continue listening. When the watch was set out, jonah would give it a good look over before picking it up and putting it on. As far as Jonah knew the only risk would be losing it in customs and failing to bring it along, and even that was low. When all was said and done and Mercutio had went outside, Jonah would follow, leaving the door open as he did. "Find whats caging me?" He mumbled. The only thing he could think of would be the nausea that came with lifting things that were too heavy. Lifting Rory or the engine of a car was easy, but anything beyond that seemed out of his reach. He tilted his head and waited, going over. As much as Jonah would want to have the ability to manipulate energy on a grand scale, quirks didn’t exactly work like that. He could simulate super strength but the fancy blasts and booms that Mercutio could do were outside his reach. He was puzzled by what Mercutio meant, but, he still picked up the gist of it… “Oh, uh, Alright.” His expression would change as he spoke, taking that warning to not get near the red mist, Jonah would take a quick step back away from Mercutio and the mist encircling him. Whatever was about to happen was, to Jonah’s knowledge, obviously going to be either taxing or extremely destructive, probably both. A thought crossed his mind as Mercutio prepared a new technique that Jonah would likely never recognize without sitting down and going through every bit of anime ever. W-wait why would we need to know how to swim? We live on an island it would be a hazard if we didn’t. The emphasized Wave Mercutio said didn’t even register that it was in fact a Pun on the technique he was about to use, Now that the technique saw what the host of the House was about to use… One ever so holy and iconic in the world of Anime, and yet Jonah knew nothing about it. “Why is he yellin- Doesn't Kame mean turtle?” He turned and looked at Rory before slowly backing away from their Sensei to avoid any contact with the red mist. |

He didn't really care for who this "void bitch" was. He merely wanted to get this over with or at least away from the American journey. Also Mercutio. He was always looked at him to long. Like he was expecting something every time they talked. It was disconcerning, but he just kept talking and looking longingly at Rory. Mercutio went on about people that were dead. Most likely killed by his hands. Rory didn't want or need to know about that. He had hope he wouldn't need to confront him if he was a killer. He did like him, even through his strangeness, but not wanting to confront him was more so because of the power. His sensei's power was unbelievable. He slid a watch across and Jonah snatched it up. More tricks and gizmos for Jonah. Rory didn't let the look of being upset due to the favoritism show. He would get his. Surely there was something coming his way. A grappling hook would help. Maybe even a utility belt. Though what Rory had been wondering about was the sword in the room. He hadn't gone into it, but looking through the key hold he saw the sword hanging. Crimson colored like his quirk it called out to him. One day. He came back to as he stared at the door day dreaming and losing touch with reality for a moment. That moment was enough for the other two disappear outside. Being left behind again. Surprise. His internal sarcasm continued on when he saw what was going on outside. Oh boy, more flashy moves and who knows if this one was even teachable to us.. They all had very differing styles and quirks. Seemed more like a show off moment for his teacher. As much disdain for the moment Rory had he couldn't help but be impressed. He never knew exactly what Mercutio's quirk was, just the sound it made when he showed off. Who knows what else he could do it with. He felt the pressure in the air change to almost a static charge buzzing. His hair started standing up as a ball formed in Mercutios hands. He warned them of distance and started a slowed drawn out chant. If he messed up Rory had a sneaking suspicion that they would all end up dead. You can keep your turtles. I've seen this damn cartoon and we should get back further. Maybe after this we can get this blasted errand done with. It would be like watching fireworks. Just they would be going off much much closer. |

Rory's words caught Mercutio's ear and his comments didn't strike him as odd nor did it surprise him... Rory has always been head strong and straight forward, even when he necessarily wasn't himself in his dehydrated state upon washing ashore. Thane had always been softer spoke and more sheltered, but that didn't mean he was at a disadvantage nor did it mean Rory would out shine them, it was just the key attributes that set them apart among a few others.. because Mercutio's only sought out a certain kind of person to work with... they are generally fearless and that is why Mercutio is scarred and those who fought beside him are buried and gone. "...-eeeee." he blared in full voice without true reason other than nostalgia. Mercutio wasn't an orthodox teacher to say the least and his record shows that. Without a doubt, he is the only person affiliated with U.A who openly has committed what the public views as crime, but those whom have an inkling of sense know the true intention behind those actions and it was the only reason U.A gave him this chance. This card didn't give him a free pass to play the judge, jury and executioner, but the arrangement never was settled in a manner that held Mercutio to any bond... and this was the way he wanted it. After all, U.A would frown at him if they knew he was purposely about to drown his students... attempt that is. The sand around Mercutio began to rise around him in the air, swirling in step with his aura as his bellowing grew until he finished hard on the last enunciation of 'hame'. The silence lasted no more than a moment as Mercutio finished with a ferocious, "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" with a big smile that quickly was replaced with shock as he mass of energy ripped from his hands, sending sand skyward before cutting into the waves perfectly like a knife through butter. He took his time and controlled it, hiding it under the blue as the tide was forced out be the sheer force of the technique. Turning, Mercutio would put his back to the sea and give his hands a wipe against his khaki cargo shorts. Lazily, he walked for the house as he pulled free a joint from his ear with a bit of a blank stare, but he managed to remember one last thing before following into thought and closing the door. "I called you outside right around lunch for a reason, Sharks are out. It might have been a bit of a rouse for surprise training." he chuckled, closing the door ubruptly. In this moment, if the boys were not watching the sea, the would be blind to the fact the a tidal wave was encroaching on the beach. This wasn't something a suffer would kill for, but be killed by. The ocean waters were sucked out further and further as the wall grew in size and speed as Mercutio locked the door, closed the window and assed his couch. Lighting a joint, he wrote down a quick note for later in a small booklet, Limit Reassessment Needed. Tucking away his notes, he lit his smoke as a tea cup drifted in to him and a manga casually dangled in air before him, "About time, Jubei" he muttered, waiting to 'see' how this all goes. |

Even with all of the yelling calling to him to look at the big reference technique, Jonah’s eyes weren’t drawn to the bright blue beam that was fired out into the ocean. Rather to the water. The beam that split the ocean was enough to paint the look of a child’s amazement onto the amnesiac teenager’s face, a hundred different words came to mind that could have explained his reaction but none made it past his lips. Still though, as devastating that attack would be on another human, Jonah’s gaze was still on the water, water that was slowly receding from the sands as though a big vacuum was sucking up the ocean. His head turned to Mercutio who was casually walking towards the house just before snapping back to look at the water. A wave was forming. “Oh, uh, Rory, we need to go. Like, right now.” If there were sharks out, and a big wave was coming, there were very few options of escape. With the tides receding, Jonah would look out to the ocean and grumble, the wave that was forming was more than enough to take out the island house they had, at least, if Jonah wasn’t sure if the house was made of adamantium, and also waterproof. The fact he could hear the windows close and the door’s lock click would confirm his suspicion. Mercutio would be fine… His expression changed to something of worry, his head turned from left to right looking for any form of cover, right as he realized that hanging onto the Palm Tree wouldn’t help. He couldn’t take cover in the house, he couldn’t hide under the palm tree and hope for it to have something as silly as a force field in the fake tree. The only thing he could think to do was jump. With his left hand he’d press the small peach pads on his hands down on his own neck, then on Rory's arm, knowing all too well that he would be puking… Very, very, soon. Aver he had made physical contact with Rory, he'd activate his quirk. Just as he did so, he’d try to smile, but the look on his face would be overcome with overwhelming nausea. Jokingly saying “Welcome to Jonah Airlines.” He’d belch mid-sentence, just as his body was beginning to reject his course of action. “... Try and jump in the opposite direction of the wave.” Turning his back to the oncoming Tidal wave, Jonah would, with his feet still planted on the ground, jump with all the force in his legs in hopes of getting away from the wave. Jonah would think out the diving strategy and estimate what height he’d have to fall from in order to survive, ‘The speed of a diver from a thirty meter cliff is about... Uh... 90 KM Per hour? That’s at least one third of terminal velocity and they still live… But then there’s the sharks.’ Those words would float around the worryingly empty amnesiac's head just he rocketed off the island and over the house. Behind him he would leave a trail of an unusual multicolored puke behind him. Cosmic Vomit would be a fair term to use, it was black and filled with glowing stars and mist. The light was bright enough in his hands so Rory pulled his sunglasses out. His sensei had finally blown his energy load and taken off. Out on the horizon a massive blast went off from the crimson shot. That was The other reason he wore that glasses. He didn't want either of these two to see his impressed reaction. As strange as Mercutio was...he was powerful. The air pressure created a gust of wind that whipped and tasseled Rory's hair. He took a sip disgruntled by the power and with how little he would compare to people out there. That was probably why he acted the way he did to Mercutio. He heard him say someyhing before entering the house. dah fuck you mean sharks? Looking around he caught Mercutio's drift. He saw the water and turned towards the door. Too bad Thane had some other plans for them. He felt an air of weightless surround him. Flying was the last thing he wanted to do, but he had to mass to him now so no momentum. He just floated there destined tied to his peer. Jonah Airlines and he was first class. How they would out jumo this and be ok Rory didnt have a clue. Worst of alk he wouldn't even get a bag of oeanuts... |

The loud thud of the dead bolt would be the only reassurance any of the two would get in return from Mercutio as the man made his way inside, already comforted in the fabrics of his well-built home and furniture. Being a fast reader, Mercutio managed to flip through the few remaining pages of the most recent chapter he was reading. With a satisfied sighed, he placed the well-read work aside and took to his tea with softly, shut eyes in hand and wafered in the aroma. If Mercutio didn't seem worried it was because he wasn't one bit about Rory or Jonah's chances; predators abound or not. Being what it was, The Crimson Soul had such a grand intuition that even woman were be jealous off, and it was why he was able to keep so calm. It was all thanks to trust and he had trust in those he hand-picked thanks to the knowledge granted by said quirk; whatever it was in someone's soul that drew Merc in was a mystery, but he trusted his gut far more than rhetoric of science. The ebb and flow of the ocean gave Mercutio an amazing visual over the entire area around the island thanks to his quirk. This was another major reason why he moved out here in the first place, but this island wasn't uninhabited when he was first moving out here and the ramifications of an arrogant man's actions would now be the consequences of those whom were completely innocent and it could be all to late for action. Mercutio didn't seem to be fazed at all, the plan going as well as planned until the last fifty meters began to close in on the island. Exposed coral gleamed in the sunlight hidden among the mass of multi-colored flora scattered among the various fish that gasped for oxygen and all appeared on normal as he took his few final sips of tea, but it was then that his attention broke and his crimson aura dropped the tea cup mindlessly, shattering it against the floor. This area was formerly inhabited by someone Mercutio thought to have dealt with, but as he has begun to learn with Jayden Yamada of UA, and Kull the young dragon, he has much training to take up in order to truly master this art of his. This section of ocean was uncharted, but under-mapped. The area was known for many of myth and stories, but not many people actually knew that they were speaking of. Everyone has caught wind about the Bermuda Triangle, but this wasn't a case of ships disappearing. The ships would always reappear, but their entire crews being removed without a trace. Many say it has something to do with Dark Continent while others considered it wives' tales, but Mercutio came here to be away from the public and figured the stigma would keep the public and unwanted at bay. The goal was to be able to train alone, privately and away from society and yet an ancient piece of society is who he was meet with. A man, well boy, older than the eldest generation alive was whom held dominion over these seas and actually resided on Elyisum's Regalis Island. Mercutio thought he had put an end to him easily, but mutation and transformation based quirks are once again pulling wool over his eyes and the masses of sharks approaching in a pack... Mercutio knew it could only be one person. Hidden within the deep blue of the water was the dark masses of masses hiding within the waves that tore straight for the island. Mercutio attempted to get up and put a quick fix on the situation if not just give himself some peace of mind, but tripped over his tiny ass, Japanese-styled table and began cursing at the ceiling as he scrambled towards the door. The wave would crash into the house and sweep the plastic coconuts to sea, tearing them all free from the tree. Sandy seabed surrounded them even after the wave passed over, the enertia gathered causing the waving to carrying on for many more meters before crashing flat to allow the waters in the area to return to their normal levels. Rory and Jonah could take time to enjoy the amazing scene of destruction as the wave tore up coral and threw fish around violently, some being blended into mush by the sheer force. Luckily the boys barely got their feet wet from the wave, but the time for struggle wasn't over. As the water levels corrected themselves, Mercutio and the gang would findKame House under about three feet of water and a decently strong tidal pull dragging the water back to whence it came. It was now that the shadowy masses moved in sync like a well-oiled machine within the blue, circling the island slowly, hugging as close to the building as possible. As Jonah and Rory drifted above their Sensei's surprise test in triumph, a grey and white, blunt, spear-like mass tore from the water and shot pass Rory's right side before crashing into the sands below with the waves momentum continuing to carry passed Kame House. The two would see a great white shark trashing for air in the shallow puddles of the ocean surrounding and while comical, it wasn't the last incident. Sharks don't normally run in pacts... fuck. Mercutio kicked open the door as water ran inside, his 'give-a-fuck' meter now on 100% as he witnessed more kamikaze attacks from various sharks; each one throwing themsekves from the water like a cannon firing a lead ball. Team Anti-Gravity would find themselves in the process of dodging shark after shark as a bit of crimson began to push at them to give them a bit of downward momentum. The fall they would take looked far to great and it was too risk to land them beside hm in the water so Mercuti aimed to give them a boost towards the roof of the two story home. Observant one would be all but dumbstruck by the scene the would be witnessing... despite the flying sharks. An orb of sea-water would hover over the boiling ocean, as sharks fins circled around underneath the orb which hovered a mere meters away from both the sandy beaches of Regalis Island and the depth of the ocean waters below. Without word, crimson would wrap around Mercutio's pupils in a show of intimidation and preparation more than anything. The two of them should know by now that where there is Crimson, Mercutio will follow. Mercutio managed a casual look of 'good job' but his face was all business. A voice spoke out, it's words mixed in with the roaring motion of the ocean, "You arrogant human, you think a flesh wound would be enough? I brought friends this time, and I will make sure that I feed you too ma friends when we are finished, thanks for building me a house." a small voice cackled, annoyance cutting in with each consonant as the orb met the surface of the water and popped like a bubbled to reveal who was speak. ![]() Mercutio took a step forward in front of his Pupils even though it would do much good other than to show he wasn't backing down. "...shit. I am rather arrogant, I'll give you that. Though, with all the sharks it was hard not to know it was you." he said in a manner one would to a younger sibling even though he took this matter mortally serious. Mercutio's feet dug into the sand to secure his footing as he spoke. "Uhh, Jonah.. Rory. This is all, part of the test... uh, surprise... uh.. yeah, so don't tell Principal Yamada." he asked genuinely, his eyes focused on the Seafoam-Fuck. It was now that the orb would touch down to the water's surface and the boy within would stand on the unstable water steadily as if it was ground and with a snap, the water levels began to rise again around all of them... not in a wave, but a cage. Massive walls of water would tower higher and higher as the sun began to become swallowed behind the deep blue curtain. The exposed skylight began to enclose completely until everything became still. Sharks of all species and sizes could be seen swimming in a predator type manner, encircling small organization and their office. "You will rue the day you messed with Davvy Jones." he hissed with a raised hand towards the distorted sky and Mercutio followed suit. Davvy swung his hands down as Mercutio's crimson soul expanded outwards from him, rushing past everyone to make a dome as the water began to crush in on it. The pressure Mercutio was holding back was too much and he could feel the buckling of his body, the shuttering of his nerves shifting the sand, but he refused to show weakness... and in his arrogance a nose bled began slowly, dripping from his right nostril. This all created a feeding frenzy, I thought I killed him... how did he get... so... strong. he thought as the pressure built on him. The sounds of sharks smash into the sturdy crimson mixed the the rushing sounds of water and the cracking of glasses as though intense pressure was building around them. "This is my domain and I have control... I have the jump on you now! Oh, and you brought... us... food" the crazed, Aquaman wanna be rambled, his words growing more bloodthirsty with each breathe. The boy gave a smile to reveal sharp, spine like tear that seemed to glow a light gold. With his arms raised as they are, the group could see gills under each of his arm. As his army of sharks pounded away at the barrier, Davvy dropped to the sand with a B-line for Mercutio whom found himself nearly helpless for the first time. Walking slowly, Davvy spoke, "You came here with arrogance like most children do. You spoke out of line to some'thing' you don't know. I am eternal and simple flesh wounds to my chest aren't going to hurt me enough to stop me." "I put a fucking Rasengan through your chest... what is he even on about.." Mercutio mumbled in annoyance as the asshole monologue'd, "You see, I have passed the test of time and I am happy to say that mortals like you can't hurt me." he ranted on. With the boy getting this close, the team of three could see that he was more wrinkled than he appeared at distance.. or was it something else? It was as though he was aging faster than one normally would, but Davvy quickly gave away why that was possible, having assumed he won. "They call it, Auqapire... my quirk. I call it me, never meet anyone one that can do what I can. As long as I stay within the sea, I can maintain my life with minor supplements to keep me going along." he said in arrogance, completely satisfied with what was going on. The green-haired boy knelt down to a gasping shark and whispered something to it about sleeping and with a soft touch the boy appeared to dry the shark out until he was flaky skin and withered bone. In this moment, Davvy's skin would tighten and appear smoother rather than appearing much like a sharkskin. In a stand off, the thick black irises of Davvy locked onto Mercutio for a moment before a white-slit horizontal covered his eyes and the intruder dashed forward at the group, needing to cover only five meters. The fact that Jonah was actually able to jump high enough to avoid a tidal wave was, well it was a good feeling. Namely due to the fact that his stupid, half thought out plan to just 'jump' worked out brilliantly. The look of childlike joy on his face was clear, and his smile went ear to ear. Looking down on the waters crashing, coral breaking, and smaller sea creatures turning to mush was entertaining at first, however, that feeling of triumph was short lived, as it was soon followed by gut wrenching nausea, and more puke. As his stomach was turned upside down and inside out just before he released any and all contents he had consumed this morning, Cap'n Crunch cereal, orange juice, and two apples. Then, just as he was puking out his guts, something would rush by Rory. It was almost enough to distract him from his body rejecting everything he had eaten today. After it hit the other side of the island, he’d look down, and much to his surprise, it was a shark! Which brought several questions to his head. Sharks can fly? The infinity boy’s arms dropped to his sides. He was legitimately worried that sharks could fly, the expression on his face said it all. That wouldn’t be the last shark he’d see either, just after the other fell to the ground and began squirming in the shallow water. One, two, three, four, from every direction, and Jonah would attempt to dodge and weave while airborne, with no form of propulsion or anything… He’d just lean forward and hope to start flipping forward until he got back to ground level. If it weren't for Mercutio’s use of his crimson mist, the two probably wouldn't be able to get down without breaking their legs. With the crimson mist slowly dragging Jonah down to safety he’d feel relieved, the sight of Sharks suddenly started shooting over them rather than at him when he was low enough. By the time he was on the roof, the infinity boy would finally slap his fingers together to release the two from the effects of his Quirk, giving his stomach and head the much needed relief. After his landing on the roof of the house he had been living in for the past month, Jonah would make his way down to the ground through the same method he got over the tidal wave, removing weight from his body and climbing down the side. first thing Jonah would see after his stomach began to settle down would be a large orb of salt-water. One thing would float in that memory devoid head of his. "Were the sharks part of the test to-... Is that a ball of sharks suspended in water?" What was worse, the ball was talking. 'I need to hit that...' he thought. He'd act without considering how much danger they might actually be in, rushing over to the nearest object he thought he could pull out of the ground that wasn't a shark stuck on land or in shallow water. The "Fake ass palm tree", as it were, was the target, running over and uprooting it before turning it over to the side with all of the foliage. Taking a few test sings, he'd rush over to the shore and wait. As much as he wanted to run at the time, there wans't really anywhere to go... Running off into the ocean would no doubt end with him being eaten, and trying to jump would leave him high enough to die of Oxygen Deprivation. So, he stood his ground as the sphere of water approached the shore of the island. For once this test seemed a little less stressful than the exams, and a little scarier than some rampaging robots. He frowned and kept his mouth shut, holding onto the tree. The 'Uhh' and Mercutio's focus on the Barnacle boy was less than reassuring that this was all staged. There was no crimson throwing sharks around out of the water. It would occur then and there that this was not in fact part of the test. "I will not tell Professor Yamacha at U.A. if I get in." He had just gotten the Principle’s name wrong. But that was the least of their worries right now. He nodded his head at Mercutio while the fish guy went on his monologue about lasting the test of time and… Something something Bird King of Atlantis. The boy probably wasn’t listening. "Did he just eat one of the shark friends he brought?? He just ate one of his friends..." Okay. That sealed it into his mind, Davvy was evil, and he had to be put down. Or at the very least put under a big rock. That was the idea that was locked into his head now. It was disturbing, but it helped him understand the quirk well enough Jonah's avocado colored eyes locked onto the green-haired shark nerd. When the Barnacle Butt baby of Aquaman and Lady Dracula rushed forward, Jonah would take a swing at him with the tree he had uprooted in an attempt to knock Davvy to the side. They hovered above the unending big blue he didn't really know what to think. The vast nothingness and a tiny island made a lot of issues seem small at the moment. The massive wave hurtling towards the shack was not one of those small issues. It slammed into the beach and threw water around the house. This was training? If Thane wasn't here...what would he get from it? Would he absorb the impact force for future use? Clearly this guy was on some next level thought process or he was brain dead from manga. As they hovered though he became a little green around the gills. He looked to his flying partner and he too looked slightly discolored. They started to float downwards and that was when he got a better look at the situation and how perilous it was. Sharks frothing near the surface and a lithe man exited the water. Crimson flooded the area if mist could violently enter an area. Their sensei walked past and had banter with the new individual. While quips flew it grew more and more heated till outright threats. Finally they both mirrored and shot into action. Water exploded upwards like the tsunami and came rolling towards them. Crushing water meet with a hiss of steam when it came into contact with the crimson colored sphere. Sharks jumped and flew out of the water at the circle and sparked to life as they impacted. They bounced off...humorously flipping and flailing before returning to the sea. God damn it. Why would I talk to the principal about this? They finally touched down into shallow water and Thane was off. Something about the principal said...but why would they ever talk to him about this. Or even just him. Rory wasn't even in 1A. Which he was still down about. He doubted very much though that the principal even saw to look at the lower tier classes. Rory was curious about this statement, but before he could do much pondering the man surrounded by sharks made quick work of shrinking, eating, and changing form. Aqua lad in action. Guess even he likes some sushi. His attention was stolen from the water warrior when Thane ripped the coconut tree out and held it like a bat. A small part of Rory died even if it was the tree that caused his embarrassment. Everything was going on quickly, too quickly. Thane moved as did the opponent on the other side of the battlefield. Rory would only stand there unknowing what to do. If Mercutio was on the defensive and trading words rather than smashing an intruder was worrisome. Its either get hit by the man or chomped on by sharks and these sharks did not look normal. Thane had his bat and Mercutio was...Mercutio. Rory needed his own niche. He hoped he wouldn't get in trouble for what he thought he needed to do. Rory turned back to the house and busted into the living room. Past the couch and the refrigerator to the back room. He jiggled the door handle and opened it. He saw the red blade held on the wall mount. He gripped its handle and raised the blade. A bit heavy, but it would work. Almost anything would at this stage of the game. He took off back outside and caught the glimpse of the enemy dash towards his teacher. Things were about to get real crazy. |
