General Appearance: Ilya is a tall man with a broad and muscular structure. He has black hair slicked back except for two bangs on each side and bright blue eyes. His features are a blend of Asiatic and Slavic, leaving him quite ethnically ambiguous, and he often keeps a trimmed beard or stubble around his jawline.
Ilya's wings are quite large in keeping with his stature, though not quite large enough for true flight yet. The feathers resemble a bird of prey more than the stereotypical angel. His halo appears to be translucent and made of energy, with a serrated edge resembling a sunburst.
| Clothing: Ilya is rarely out of combat attire, the most common being the uniform of his current employers which includes navy pants and vest, along with thick leather and steel belts and pauldrons. Of course, he will still dress in appropriate camoflage and protective clothing when in a combat zone.
| Personality: Ilya is an honest and direct sort of man, he doesn't sugar coat his words and you always know where you stand with him. Strong-willed and loyal, he doesn't give up in the face of difficulties and is known to be relentless in his attempts to complete a task. He remains calm in the face of most situations, and tries to maintain order around him. These traits do lend themselves to a certain degree of insensitivity and stubborness, and his honesty can also lead him into trouble when he says what he believes at the wrong moment.

History:
History: Born somewhere in rural Russia, Ilya was always destined to bear the weight of expectations upon his shoulders. With feathered wings growing from his shoulders and an indistinct halo forming behind his head a few days after birth, the young boy was quickly hailed as a miracle in the deeply religious town of his birth. Growing up an Orthodox Christian and practically forced to head the children's choir as soon as he could talk, Ilya didn't ever expect that there was anything more to his life than a physical representation of God's will. At least, that's what he was told growing up.
But his life as a pet for the faithful came to an end abruptly when he was just a child. Conflict sparked up around his home region, the area becoming dangerous as tensions rose between a variety of groups. It did not take long for this small scale conflict to create a wider series of battles, his home swept up in a rain of bullets and combat use of quirks.
When the villagers started suggesting that eight year old Ilya should protect them all from the fighting, his mother realised that she needed to get her son out of the region. Making contact with her estranged brother she managed to convince him to take the young boy away. The man laughed at her request to keep his nephew safe though, knowing that such a thing was impossible. Instead he promised his sister that he would teach her son to protect himself. He was spirited away from his home in the dead of night, never to see his parents again.
Ilya was taken in by his uncle, a man who only went by the name 'Titus'. Titus was leader of a then-small paramilitary group known as Hellhound, who served no cause, no country, just did the jobs that they accepted to the best of their abilities. Too young to serve as an actual combatant, Ilya learned from his many 'uncles' and 'aunts' the skills of the soldier, working as part of the group's support structure first as a gofer and later as his education brought him up to speed he was given more and more vital tasks. By the time he was twelve he was even piloting the PMC's support helicopters alongside the more experienced pilots.
It was around that time that another child joined their unusual family, a boy they had picked up during a job in the middle east. At first Ilya resented this new child, feeling like he had been replaced and rejected by the adults that had focused solely on him for the last few years of his life. Eventually though that jealousy was reigned in as he and the other boy trained together. It took more than a few bruises, and some beaten pride on both ends, before they settled into a small measure of peace, becoming closer and closer once that tension snapped.
Eventually he and the other boy were allowed into active combat as full members of the Hellhounds, fighting together as brothers in all but blood. In their first active mission the duo recieved their baptism by fire, and came away with their codenames. Functioning as they were in the Middle East, Ilya's name came from the frantic radio calls of their enemies as he assaulted their positions, the constant cries of 'Israil' bringing amusement to his uncle and the other mercenaries. Despite his protestations, the name stuck.
Over the next few years Ilya made a name for himself as a member of the Hellhounds. While perhaps not command material his skills in combat, attention to detail, and determination to complete a job gave him a fearsome reputation that the mercenaries on either side of their various conflicts could respect. It became common knowledge among the Hellhounds that if Israil targetted you, you were already dead, even if it were to take a thousand years. That sentiment would become tested several years past his twentieth.
Working as part of the command and security staff of the PMC's primary base, Ilya was on the frontlines when they were attacked by a superior force of unknown origins. Forced on the back foot, Ilya performed a tactical withdrawal alongside his squad in the face of numerical and tactical superiority. Pulling back into the wilderness around their base he and what he believed to be the last survivors of their group were hunted down by near continuous attacks from their foes, one by one the squad was picked off as exhaustion, fear, and anger led to carelessness. It was only a surprising fortitude and attention to detail that Ilya managed to survive the chase, evading his pursuers as he disappeared amidst the wild lands that had failed to protect their camp.
Eventually the young man returned to civilisation, and with the unwavering will and determination that had characterised his life, he decided he would ensure that death found those that dared attack him and his eclectic family. Joining a new PMC known as "Ashen Falcon", Ilya continued to live the life he had known since his youth, even as he searched for any information that would lead to the ones who had attacked him and killed his comrades.
