"Whether I live or die doesn't really matter," Ciaran responded casually as he began to wander off, waving to Skale without even turning around to face the other man. Whatever happened would happen and he wasn't particularly concerned with the danger that would be coming his way.

He strolled down the hallways absently as he tried to find something worth doing in the relatively silent basement beneath the church, his hands absently running over the walls and checking every door that he came across to see if he could find anyone at all. After all, he was trying to be a distraction, and a distraction was kinda useless if there was no one to distract.

He was just about ready to despair of finding anything resembling entertainment when two turrets dropped out of the ceiling to point at him. "Identification?" he inquired even as he reached into his pocket for something. Casually palming the tablet he had been given by the Saltmaster, Ciaran tried to make use of Fidel CastBro's hacking device to deactivate the weapons. At the same time he pulled out one of the ID cards he had taken from the guards he had killed, holding it up for inspection by the security system (his thumb covered the photo just in case the stupid idea actually worked)

"How about that?"

He really doubted any of this would work, but he didn't really like the idea of getting shot like this, so he'd take his chances even as he prepared to move should they open fire. He wasn't stupid, contrary to all appearances, and he wasn't about to let himself get caught unprepared when dealing with something like this. He had hoped for human guards, but life was just like that sometimes.

"Alright and... bingo was his name-o we're good to go!" Pal said as his fingers glowed bright yellow for a second as their first obstacle, a hallway with guns, lasers, and other security devices were quickly disarmed and disabled. "They should be off for about a minute, so we need to get a move on." The young man said as he casually walked through the halls now knowing that there weren't any potential death traps waiting for them.

"You're acting awfully casual for infiltrating some kind of prison information base." Skale said as he seemed slightly hesitant to follow the young man.

"People put a lot of faith in technology, and I've seen it go places. The problem is that they trust it so much that they sometimes don't even bother putting guards up around. Save for the occasional patrol." Pal said as he looked back at Skale. "Computers just like people have flaws that can be exploited. The problem is that if a computer AI was defending this place it would have a bunch of guards mixed in. People on the other hand... well we're illogical. We like things easy even if it means they're less secure to a point. But hey, that just makes our job easier."

"I suppose you have a point about that." Skale said accepting the fact that it was oddly silent. And that the few cameras that were looking at them appeared to be shut down and inoperable.

"Like I said my friend, the weakest link to any security system isn't based on the computer. It's based on the people that work it." Pal spoke but then was alarmed as red lights began to flash through the halls. "Looks like your little buddy is doing good work, let's keep up the pace then before somthing bad happens."

"Identification accepted..." The gun scanned the ID, zooming in close with it's camera before turning towards Ciaran. "Comparing facial recognition." It only took a few seconds for the AI to realize that Ciaran looked nothing like the ID in the picture. "Authentication... FAILED! Initiating defense systems!" The guns immediately began firing a volley of electrical bolts at Ciaran, shocking him and burning parts of his skin. It was obvious that these shots weren't meant to be lethal, but he would find that with each shot that landed that his body would feel numb in those areas.

"Requesting guards in sector B-12! Unauthorized personal trespassing in B-12!" The voice boomed through the speakers, and the sound of steps followed from beyond the hall.

"Stand down! Place your hands in the air and no further harm will come to-to-to-to..." The guns began to malfunction as the tablet seemingly flashed and stopped firing at Ciaran. After a few seconds, the guns seemingly shut down before rebooting themselves. On Ciaran's tablet he would see that he was now in direct control of the guns, and that he had the options of altering the ammunition that the guns were set on. The lowest setting was a taser round, but above that was lasers, followed by actual bullets. It seemed that only the system administrator had access to change what type of ammunition could be used, but nonetheless Ciaran had access to it. "System reboot functional..." the voice spoke on his tablet, sounding awfully familiar to Pal's voice. A small drawback to a seemingly handy tool.

"HANDS UP!" Ciaran would hear as three guards help up their weapons from the other end of the hall and pointed their barrels toward Ciaran. Oblivious to the fact that their own defense system had been compromised. "You have till the count of three or we will open fire!"

Alert as he was, Ciaran was ready to dodge the arcs of electricity as best he could, flipping back out of the way and rolling to try and avoid the worst of the damage. The first strike to hit managed to char off one of the horns of his mask, the electricity surge causing his face to twitch behind the mask as various muscles rapidly contracted and released for a minute or so. Another glanced over his shoulder, singeing his flesh even through the leather coat and leaving him with an irritating pins-and-needles sensation across the shoulderblade.

He was relieved when it seemed the technology had pulled through for him, and the guns ceased to fire, a small window appearing on his tablet with controls for the weapons. Grinning behind his mask as best as he could while his facial muscles were still twitching uncontrollably, the little Irishman started to test out the controls to get a good feel of what he could do with the weapons.

"Huh?" he muttered as he was distracted from his new toy by the sound of some more guards appearing. "Why is it that you all say that? Hands up? You know that people are capable of doing terrible things without their hands right?" he asked curiously even as his fingers danced over the screen of the tablet. Before they had a chance to answer he would fire the guns at them. One gun had been set to the 'laser' setting, and started by firing at the guard on the left, before making it's way across to shoot at the other two. The second one had bullets loaded in and would start at the rightmost guard before raking across the other two. Ciaran wasn't too sure what the laser would do so he wanted to be sure he'd kill them.

He was also tense and ready to move should he have to, after all, he was fairly sure that if they survived long enough to react that they wouldn't hesitate to shoot him anymore.

The red lights continued to blare through the entire basement as Skale and Pal wandered around, seemingly aimlessly as Pal poked his head into a few empty rooms. Sometimes inspecting them, but most of the time shaking his head as if he weren't pleased with what he had found. It started to irritate Skale how much backtracking they seemed to be doing. "One of these rooms is going to be filled with guards and we're going to be majorly fucked," Skale said as he closed the last door that they just walked through.

"Don't you worry about it, I know this place like the back of my hand, the front of my hand, and the side of my hand. And I know my hands pretty well enough to say that I could trace a path through these halls without a single worry. For example..." He put his hand in front of skale to keep him from moving. He abruptly stalled as Pal took a pinch of his hair and blew it across the seemingly barren hallway. Only to see it incinerated from a laser defense system.

"See, I told ya, I know this place's in's and out's." He said as he inspected one of the closer rooms. "The server room isn't too far from here actually, we just had to take a little detour to make sure that we didn't end up running across some stray patrols. Though since the alarm is still going on, I'm guessing blood bro is still doing a good job at distracting those stupid guards." He said as he began to work on the electronic lock of the door.

"Shouldn't be too much longer now."

"We won't repeat! Put your hands up or-!" The guards readied their guns, clearly, the boy had shown them that he had no intentions of surrendering. So they opened fire, another blast of electric bolts flying towards Ciaran as he activated the turrets that were mounted up top.

"Saftey restrictions offline, lethal protocols engaged." The gun's altered their weaponry before turning towards the guards. Only one of them seemingly noticed that the gun was acting strangely. "Get down!" He cried as he dove to cover before the laser that fired from the turret, burning the floor before burning the other two guards who clutched their inflamed guts before being pierced by the bullets that had followed from the other turret.

"We've got a turret malfunction at B-12! Repeat, turret malfunction at B-12! Requesting immediate backup and system override of the turrets on B-12! I repeat...!" The guard had been keeping clear of the pathway of the turrets, obviously having no intention of getting his head burned or pierced with bullets by poking his head out at the wrong time.

"But you did say it again..." Ciaran muttered as he leapt backwards, flipping and rolling down the corridor to throw off the aim of the guards until his own controlled turrets killed two and forced the third one back. At this point he stopped backpedalling and started to advance once again, his bone sword in one hand and the tablet in the other. He made sure that the turrets were carefully aimed in the direction the guard had disappeared even as he stalked towards that end of the hallway.

He'd stop for a few moments to check the dead guards for anything of value, deciding to stick his sword to his waist and pick up one of the weird taser guns and any ammunition for it. If need be he'd use Abroham Lincoln's tablet to hack the darn thing if it gave him any trouble using it. With half an eye on the corridor Ciaran would drag the corpses of the guards further back, past the turrets , and pile them up one on top of the other before crouching down behind them with the taser gun trained on the likely entrance of the enemy.

He'd keep one eye on the hallway, the other on his tablet. He hadn't missed the fact that the guard had asked for an override of the turrets now under his control, and he wouldn't risk having them turned on him again. Any sign of the weapons beginning to slip from his grasp and he would have them destroy each other. He'd rather lose them as tools than allow them to be used against him again.

"Come on, why won't you play with me~" he called out casually, one finger on the trigger of his pilfered weapon as he taunted the remaining guard. He could have chased after the man, but two things stopped him. One, he had no idea what was around the corner and he wasn't sure he was ready to push his luck walking into an ambush.

Two, and perhaps the more important reason, he was meant to be a distraction. Setting himself up in this way was probably quite distracting and would hopefully draw out more guards away from Skale and Broseidon.

Tense and alert, Ciaran would be ready to shoot anyone that came into view, his finger poised over the tablet to completely disable the turrets should they turn against him. Part of him hoped that his preparations would be enough, because for some reason he wanted this idea to work out. Perhaps it was because he had a funny idea that wouldn't work if he lost control of the turrets...

"If the pass code isn't... then maybe... how about..." Pal played with some of the mechanics of a computer, his fingers gliding over the machinery as Skale impatiently tapped his foot on the ground. It was weird, for the boy to be acting so casual as if nothing was going on. Even with his seemingly good knowledge of the facility he acted as if he would come to no harm even if they had been caught. Though, Skale withheld his concerns since the boy had already shown to be waving them off and that he knew things well enough here.

"There we go! This ought to keep us from getting burned to ashes by those lasers." The computer screen that he was playing with turned green as he marched cheerfully through the halls, not even bothering to test and see if the lasers were even active before pointing further ahead in the hallway.

"Server room is just that way, after that we can get whatever data we need and scram out of here." Pal said as he walked over toward the door.

It was a relief to know that they were so close to their objective, but he felt as though there was something wrong here. That things were too easy and that he would regret having had Ciaran go off to be a sacrificial lamb of sorts. Sure many members of the horde had that kind of mentality, but there were also some that a bit more self preservation instinct. The weird thing was that he wasn't sure where Ciaran fell when it came to that kind of thinking.

He was hoping that it was the latter.

After stacking the bodies and having the lasers pointed at one another, Ciaran would wait for a few minutes, as the man seemingly had stopped calling for help and reinforcements. But instead, he found that more guns were pointed at him from all directions, popping out from the ceiling, the walls, the floor, the boy was quite clearly only minutes away from being a pincushion of bullets and lasers.

"I'm sure you've heard this already, but I'd recommend that you put your hands up. That and drop that tablet. Also don't think about using your quirk, if I so much as see a hair on your body flinch up you'll be just another dust pile to sweep under the rug." The voice echoed through the hall, it was mechanical, robotic, devoid of any natural human sound ques. "And if you think that you can hack all of these turrets before one lodges a bullet through your brain... well I'd say I'd probably be doing a favor to your intellect assuming you survived. So how about it, stand down for now and we can talk things out without anymore deaths right?"

"Wow, just kill all the fun, put the fun in camps why don't you" Ciaran muttered grumpily as he stared at all the turrets that were coming out of the walls and ceiling. That had to be cheating. "You realise you can't actually see any of the hair on my body right?" he called out to the voice as he slowly stood up, "well, unless you're a perv with x-ray vision I suppose... in which case, I hope you enjoy the view"

Weighing the pros and cons of fighting, and considering whether there was actually anything he could do at this stage without dying pointlessly. He could try and destroy all the turrets he supposed, but he wasn't too confident in his ability to do so at this point. Which meant...

"What is it with you guys and the whole 'hands up' thing? Like that could stop a determined person from doing something..." he grumbled as he dropped the tablet and half-heartedly raised his forearms so that his hands were technically raised, his masked face looking from turret to turret as if he wasn't quite sure which one to look at while they were having this little 'talk' that the being behind the turrets wanted to have.

"Right, well you wanted to talk things out didn't you? I dunno what you want to talk about, but let's talk," he said, his head still moving from one turret camera to another as if trying to hold eye contact. He wasn't sure if the person talking to him actually had x-ray vision of some sort, so he didn't try anything tricky just yet, and if he kept the cheater with access to console commands focused on him for a while longer, perhaps Skale's side of things would still go well.

Then they might even lend him a hand getting out of this sticky situation.

"This is the place." Pal said as he walked inside the server room, not a care in the world, and began inspecting a few of the towers and towers of computers that were stacked on top of one another. "Now for the long part..." He said as he plugged in a wire into one of the computers, connecting it to his computer. "Let's hope your little pal is still keeping up that distraction, or this is going to be a bit difficult." He said as he tapped his foot on the ground, watching the slow upload of the information onto his computer.

"How long is this going to take?"

"Well I had to play around with the program so that pops wouldn't end up recognizing that I was taking this away from him. He's got a knack for knowing when things are being stolen from him. So I'm just going to replace what we take with some other information." There was one interesting thread that had come from his words.

"Pops? Your father works here?"

"Of course dude, how else do you think I know the place so well? All those take your son to work days are going to backfire on him." He laughed slightly as he watched the progress bar. "But I gotta take what I can get right? Just cause he's my dad doesn't mean I have to be nice to him. Especially when he does wrong by me." His smile turned into a more menacing grin as he looked to a screen in the room. "Looks like he's talking to your little pal right now."

"What...!?"

"It doesn't have to make you stop, I just have to see whether or not you're willing to cooperate. Putting your hands up is obeying a command, if you obey a command you're more likely to be seen as sane. Someone that you can reason with... defiance of such a simple order in the face of death is either showing you have extreme confidence or possible insanity. I peg you for a mixture of both..." A gun seemingly poked him in the back of his head. Waiting for him to drop the tablet he was holding.

"That's good." The voice said as upon seeing Ciaran cooperate had metallic hands reach from the ground and scoop up the table, seemingly inspecting it with one of the guns. "I see... you must be friends with my son. Or at least associated with him in some way shape or form." The voice seemed slightly irritated by the fact.

"Listen to my instructions or I'll shoot that mask off your face, and the proceed to litter whatever it under it with a combination of bullets and lasers. Though if you want I'll give you the choice should you anger me enough. Now, walk to the end of the hallway and take a left." The guns almost seemed to be making the motion for where he was supposed to go.

"Why are you here? Just wanting to cause some mayhem or did my son talk you into doing something? Bribery perhaps? Blackmail? I'm just curious as to your mental state is all."

"If I were both, why are my hands up?" the masked youth muttered, unhappy with the whole turn of events that had spoiled his fun in such an unfair manner. He was a little surprised to find out that Bro was the cheater's son, but he really didn't care enough to be bothered about it. Really, what ever Bro Jr and Sr had going on wasn't his concern, he was just here because Skale had asked for his help and he wasn't doing anything more important.

With a sigh he followed the instructions given to him, not stupid enough to try to resist when he was faced with such overwhelming firepower. He didn't value his life that much, but he also didn't want to die pointlessly if it could be helped. He'd rather die while having fun. He was rather put out by the whole debacle, particularly being given orders in such a manner.

It chafed at his desires for freedom, but there wasn't much he could do at this stage.

"Are you gonna shoot me if I say 'for shits and giggles'?" he asked curiously, continuing to hold his hands up and turned left as instructed. He wasn't sure what would be waiting for him around the corner but he knew what he'd be dealing with if he didn't do what he was told. Sometimes you had to take the lesser of two evils.

"Coz honestly, that's about as accurate answer as I can think of. I wasn't doing anything, I got asked if I wanted to do something and I said yes. I think there's some money or something involved. I got brought here, pointed in a random direction, and here I am," he said casually, glancing around casually at his surroundings, "I really don't know anything about your son or what's going on, I'm not a details kind of person." he said with a casual shrug. It wasn't quite the whole truth, but it was fairly close. It also didn't imply that Broseph was here with Skale, and might even have made the guy with access to the admin panel think he was on his own.

Regardless, it seems the eyes of the boss of this place were on him, which meant they weren't on Skale. That was good... right?

"So what now?"

"Well you could be both, but you're complying now, so I'm happy enough." The voice said as it continued to lead Ciaran through the hall. The boy was complaint enough, and that really was all he needed, he could crab walk with his hands up and he'd be content as well.

"I could shoot you for saying you came to save the world from devastation, or some other good sounding motivation. After all, you did kill a few of my security officers. So really, it doesn't matter what your reasons was. I could find a numerous amount of grounds to kill you." The voice spoke again as it seemed to find some humor in Ciaran's answer. "So you're just a little ball of trouble that likes to kill people. Invading an organizational facility... looking to cause mayhem for the sake of entertainment." He seemed to be profiling the kid somehow, for one reason or another.

"Take a left turn and then open the second door on your left. Slowly..." He spoke as the guns were ever looming and present around him.

If Ciaran followed the orders compliantly, he would find that the door lead to a staircase, a long winding staircase that only went up. And of course, there were still guns trained in on his his ready to fire if he ever thought of doing something stupid. "Let's have a little fun, once you take a step on these stairs they'll start collapsing. Funny I know, a strange security feature... but it does make for an interesting little slide. Or a fall if you're unlucky enough." The voice laughed as one gun fired towards the ceiling. "Make it to the top in one piece and we can have a nice personal chat, man to man, or woman, or thing, I could care less honestly."

The stairs looked as though they could easily fall and slip into the floor or transform in some way, it was certainly no bluff from the man behind the controls. "Whenever you're ready... unless you feel like giving up." The voice taunted.

"He's making him run the gauntlets huh? Well that's dumb... but if he can hod out we should be able to grab this stuff and get out of here pretty quickly." Pal said as he looked at the screen monitoring Ciaran.

Skale crossed his arms as he took a look at the device downloading the data. He didn't know how the hell the information they were looking would be there. But he had to put some faith in the guy that he wouldn't back stab him for some strange reason or another? "What's the gauntlet?"

"Just some stupid tasks that my dad makes people do, its how he looks for potential black-agents. People that he uses to get more dirt on people and stuff, or just extra muscle." Pal spoke rather plainly as though it were common knowledge. "See working with the police is only part of the information sorted here, there's all sorts of other nefarious things that my pops like to keep a record of. And if I can steal some of it, and sell it off, well more money to me. That's why it's so guarded here... crime lords like having their information kept somewhere safe." That explained why he was downloading so much info. It probably would fetch a good price to someone.

"But he'll be okay right?" Skale asked showing some concern.

"Oh sure... if he can get through it. Ya know, the bro sure as hell seemed willing. Though he might need to get creative." Pal said as he checked the progress on the download. "Halfway there." He said seemingly more excited about seeing Ciaran potentially run this so called 'gauntlet'.

Ciaran was tempted to point out that he didn't ask the cheater if he 'could' shoot him for his answer, the question had been if he 'would' shoot him for such an answer. But in a rare fit of sanity he realised that perhaps he was pushing his luck and it was better to keep quiet on this particular train of thought for once. Still, he couldn't help but think unflattering things about the man behind the many guns as he followed the directions to the directed door, his eyes rolling slightly as the voice seemed to be trying to figure out his personality.

As if he was the first.

It annoyed him when people tried to place him in a neatly packaged box and assume they knew who he was. It seemed to happen all the time, people couldn't help but try and fit others neatly into one category or another and think that was the end of it. But he had to keep that irritation in check alongside his annoyance at the unfair nature of his current circumstances. Really, who put so many automated turrets in the walls? How was that even structurally possible? Where were the supporting walls if all of these ones were hollow enough to have that many turrets? It was obvious that the man had hacked into the laws of the universe to cheat his way through gravity and the mass of the earth above their current location.

Damn gravity!

Speaking of which... he couldn't help but tilt his head in mild confusion at the instructions that the other man gave him as he approached the staircase. Collapsing stairs? What kind of facility was this? For the first time he was actually curious as to where the hell he was, because he had been expecting some sort of law enforcement location, and nothing he had seen until the arrival of so many damn turrets had suggested otherwise.

But this... this was different. This was more akin to something you might see from a villain, or a really eccentric hero. What on earth was going on here? Still, a chance to see the cheater in person and perhaps sate this sudden burst of curiousity, so he might as well take it.

Without a word Ciaran began to run up the stairs as quickly as he could, taking them a few at a time with long leaps in order to avoid falling. Unless the man cheated again to stop him he figured that he wouldn't have too much of a problem beating the collapsing stairs considering his skill in acrobatic movements. And if he did cheat, well, there were ways around that too.

Upon taking his first steps the sound of a ticking clock seemed to reverberate in the stairwell as each step he took seemed to echo through the room until the stairs began to fall, one by one, slowly catching up towards Ciaran as he climbed up the stairs. With each step he took the possibility of failure meant a further and further fall down to what was likely rather rushing death.

"Don't falter now! The stairs are gaining on you!" Even with his long strides, the stairs were slowly gaining on Ciaran and to make matters worse, it looked at though there were som obstacles upcoming. Some of the stairs had holes in them to make the boy possibly collapse and fall. Some of the walls seemed to poke and prod with spikes that would impale the boy if he wasn't careful.

"Mind the spikes, they haven't been cleaned in awhile so they're probably going to infect you with some kind of poison or rust or something. I really should get someone on that..." The voice questioned as he looked at the fleeing Ciaran in hopes that he'd just end up slipping and falling to his death, possibly getting implied, or tripping up and breaking his leg. Who knows... maybe he'd make it.

"Halfway there... and there he goes." Pal glanced at the downloading device before turning toward the screen. "If he makes it past this he should be fine but... I've seen so many people fumble along the way." Pal shrugged as he whistled a tune wondering if the kid would end up surviving or not. "If he gets to my dad tho... I'm kind of curious as to what he'd end up doing. Let's find out shall we!?" Pal smiled as he walked over towards another computer, putting his tablet next to one of the computers and uploading a link to what seemed to be a shadowed room with some figure amusingly looking at Cirain climbing through the stairs.

"Always... trying to find job in his work."

Another might have panicked in such a situation, seeing the myriad death traps that awaited the unwary. Collapsing stairs, holes to fall into, and sharpened spikes would intimidate others and perhaps lead to them making mistakes and thus falling to their death. For Ciaran such tricks were child's play. This was not a metaphorical turn of phrase for the petite Irishman, he had fought to the death against others on such devices before his age had reached the double digits. Many of the audiences who witnessed the fights in the 'Ring of Blood' enjoyed the spinning blades, the sharp spikes that would hurtle across the arena with only the hiss of pneumatics as a warning, and the occasional maddened beast that would be let loose in the middle of a fight to try and eat both combatants.

Compared to that, this was fairly simple for him.

He hopped from stair to stair, flipping where necessary to avoid the holes and spinning away from any spikes that got too close. Behind the mask his crimson eyes analysed the terrain before him, seeking out various clues that would tell him what sorts of traps might be laying in wait. He hummed to himself as he skipped about the staircase, seemingly unconcerned with the possibility of imminent death on such a device. And really, he wasn't concerned. If he couldn't succeed against something this childish then he had really let himself go.

He was fairly sure that the cheating asshole in charge of this place was on the villain side of things rather than the hero. No one aligned with heroes or law enforcement would have a thing like this built into their base, no, he was definitely dealing with someone more on the shady side of things. Considering what his son was like, it wasn't really difficult to see the obvious connection.

"Honestly, I wouldn't bother with the cleaning," he said casually as he flipped over a trick step and continued running, keeping just ahead of the falling stairs, "if someone can't manage to get through this without a wound then they deserve the consequences of that wound~"

Giggling as he ran, Ciaran was almost at the top when the step his foot was on gave way beneath him. With a final leap upwards he realised that he wouldn't quite have the distance necessary for a normal leap, which is why he needed a double jump. Angled as he was towards one of thee walls when he jumped, he was able to reach the opposite wall without much of an issue, spikes coming from his lower legs to stick to the wall and give him a solid platform to jump from.

Barring any further cheating he would quickly make his way up to the top through such a method, coming to a stop once he was in a safe location.

"Wow... he's really doing it. I mean it's not like I didn't expect him to fail, but... I wonder how he's going to handle the wall." Pal said as he looked at his little device that was still loading the last of the files. It was nearly done, and they would be able to exit soon enough without having been detected. A feat that the boy seemed to cherish rather highly.

"What's the wall? Some really big obstacle that he has to overcome to get to the top of the stairs?"

"No. It's just a really big hard wall." Pal said as he put his hand over his mouth trying to stifle laughed that was bound to erupt from his mouth in a matter of seconds. "It's... just one big stupid wall!" He laughed as he fell onto the ground kicking his legs into the air as if he had just been told the funniest joke in the world.

Skale could only watch in confusion and worry as to why this was such a funny thing to the boy. But as he looked at the screen he'd find out soon enough as to why that would be such a funny thing to laugh about for him.

"I'm impressed! Managing to make it this far without panicking, worrying, or even fumbling around in your steps!" The voice echoed through the halls as Ciaran managed to dodge and avoid most of the spikes and traps. Albeit, some were rather close shaves and he would find that some of this clothes would have a few cuts fro te close encounters.

"Even humming... maybe I ought to make this harder for future invaders. If it gets too easy I won't be able to enjoy this kind of thing anymore." He said as Ciaran vaulted off a set of spikes that looked somewhat brittle, likely from the years of being uncleaned or replaced. But it seemed to barely support his weight he made his final leap.

"Oh do mind the wall though." As the voice spoke a large cement wall popped from the side of the staircase, catching Ciaran in a faceplant against the hard concrete block. Though it would also have a sort of adhesive to his that made him keep his splated body pegged onto the block, looking much like a cartoon character that had smashed themselves into some wall and for comedic effect just left there to dangle for a few seconds.

An eruption of laughter could be heard from in the stairwell as the block moved and carried Ciaran towards the top stairs before shaking him off like a crushed fly onto the floor. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... but that just gets me every time! They think they're so close and they make that one giant leap of faith and then... SPLAT! Ah man, you just have to love good old fashion humor at times you know?" The man seemed to be still holding in laughter as the guns in the area receded back into the wall. An ominous door in front of Ciaran and no way back down that didn't involve a suicide attempt meant he only had one way to go.

"It's unlocked, you can take a step inside and we can talk. Just... I need a moment to recompose myself..." The voice could be heard from the other side of the door. It was oddly masculine for someone who seemed to be taking his little joke so happily.

Ciaran was somewhat used to surprises in situations like these, but even he couldn't have expected a wall to appear out of nowhere. Crossing his hands in front of his face to try and guard his mask from breaking he hit the wall and stuck there like a fly on flypaper. He didn't make a sound as the wall dragged him the last part of the distance and started to shake him off, but internally a well of anger was burning in his gut. Of all the stupid things to get caught out by, it was a big wall.

Unfortunately for him he was yet to be in a position where he could express his anger properly, and so he simply got to his feet and dusted off his clothes, gloved hands checking over his mask to see if it had cracked or taken any further damage since one of the small horns were blown off.

Reassured that it was still intact he stalked forward towards the ominous door, putting both hands on it and shoving it open as hard as he could. Hopefully it made a satisfying slamming noise as it opened, but with the way things had been going today it seemed unlikely at best. Everything in this godforsaken place was designed to kill off any fun Ciaran wanted to have, so he was sure that even that wouldn't be allowed. This place sucked, and he wouldn't be coming back in a hurry.

Carefully examining the room beyond the door for any more surprises (like a cream pie being flung at his face), Ciaran would try to find the source of all his current agitation, and hopefully be able to contain his rather strong irritation at the man who seemed determined to make fun of him and kill of any enjoyment he tried to find here. If he got out of this alive, he may just come back when he was stronger to seek his revenge.

If he remembered.
