There was an unbroiled need for revenge, and a cool, calculated desire for it for the sake of balance. The twins had progressed on a journey from the former to the latter, and it was obvious to see the fruits of their labour. They moved seamlessly with amazing teamwork, recognised each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and worked to counteract one another. Hikari, currently not that strong physically due to the loss of an arm, was focusing on destroying the means of transport that their enemies had. It was made of some tough material, but if he was allowed to continue, he was sure to find a breaking point. That, and persistence, brought about with the patience he had to hone in order to find the Villain they had been tracking. He reappeared in a flash of light, blinding to anybody who looked at him directly, and continued his assault in the bus’s roof. Tsukiko, the female twin, was still as reckless and violent as she had always been. She had learned a lot more about herself, and her bizarre quirk (which was both a blessing and a curse simultaneously) which had made her a lot more deadly. Her ability to think ahead and not brazenly throw her attacks hoping for a result had added a new layer to her fighting strategies, and it was why she remained so calm when her attempts to gravely injured their enemies was blocked. Simply spreading her fingers when Mercutio pushed himself into the air to dodge both the orbs and her up-frontal attack, the mini planets gave a deep, resounding rumble and started to implode on themselves. “You underestimate us, don’t you?” She asked darkly as her creations caused the bus to shake and rock violently. If their target was within range, which he currently was, he’d be hit with some force which would feel equally discomforting and painful. From the force at which the void orbs imploded, their remaining power burst outwards for a short distance, which was what caused the bus to all but flip over once more when Mercutio secured himself inside before throwing his accomplice to the roof. Up on the roof, Hikari turned and looked at his new guest with a slight quick of his eyebrow in a skyward motion. “How brave of you.” He claimed in that all but monotone, level voice of his, light dancing at his fingertips as he prepared to attack this advocate. He knew that his sister would be able to deal with their actual target, due to her quirk specifically. Mercutio used a quirk which encompassed energy, and they had already learned that Hikari attacking the Villainous young man was a bad move. For one reason or another, his light energy attacks were useless, and able to be turned against him in a blink of an eye. His body began to dematerialise into the element in which he was all but wholly made out of, and had he done so only seconds before, he would find himself in a very different situation. A sharp piercing pain ripped through his body at his core; the small of his back. To keep him anchored to the world, part of him had to be human, and it was the only place that physical attacks could land on him. Because of this, he had since trained himself to never turn his back on an opponent, which was easy considering his superior speed and reflexes. These things couldn’t save him from the power which punched through him in that moment. Light danced around him as his body started to reform, and he fell to a knee; ichor-coloured blood pouring from where the bullet had torn through the middle of his chest due to the angle at which the bullet had been shot. Whatever amount of power was required to launch such a powerful, fast and deadly bullet left him helpless, and he knew he was done in that moment that he saw his blood. It had been a long time since he had seen such a sight, and last time, he had almost died. It was how he found out about his weakness; as a child, a seemingly harmless cut to the small of his back while playing had all but killed him. Unlike most, he bled as if he were a god, due to the consistency of his body being made almost entirely out of pure light energy, which bled from him in place of real blood. To say that he was so young, and had lived such a short life, he was not afraid of dying. As his vision darkened, the only thing he could think about was providing his sister with reassurance. She had always been the more emotional one of the two, and the pair of them were always inseparable. Perhaps the only true friends that each of them had ever known, it was understandable that they owed one another a lot. “Tsuki… ko…” He choked, his voice reaching his sister who immediately stopped in her tracks from trying to burst into the bus. She propelled herself up to the roof, and her face visibly paled. “Don’t… for the love of God… don’t lose yourself…” Hikari panted, falling forward as the last of his life left him. It was true what they said; one’s life does always flash before one’s eyes as they perish. He wasn’t disappointed in what he saw, only in himself for being the weak link that always seemed to hold his much stronger sister down. “We’ll lose everything… we fought for… if you let this consume you…” And just like that, he was gone. Flickering like a broken light, his body remained limp on the roof of the bus. She tried with all her might to hold back the building rage she felt, fists clenched tightly with tears welling in her eyes. Through her grief, the portals of void in her feet started to push dangerously down into the bus’s roof with a huge amount of force; enough to start buckling the highly resistant metal. She had lost herself before, to all the pain and loss of innocence she had been forced to endure because of this man, currently hiding and cowering in his precious bus. A hole had been made in the roof where her brother was shot, and she was outraged that Mercutio would purposely seek to do something like this. Rather than face his opponent, which had been her, he sought out her brother because he was viewed to be weaker. In all honesty, she would give enough to be strong like her brother. He was unflappable, always calm and collected. Nothing could shake his spirit, rattle his nerves. She pushed so much void down through the soles of her feet that a whole portion of the bus roof collapsed as she leapt off, and looked at the vehicle for a few seconds. She could easily tear into the bus, kill both men present, and yet… “We’ll lose everything… we fought for… if you let this consume you…” Her brother’s final words continued to resound in her mind. It took every ounce of her self-control to turn and start walking away. The damages done to their bus should be telling enough that she would be back, but first, she needed time. It felt as if half of her had been ripped away in the moment Hikari had perished, and she wouldn’t be able to do anything worthwhile in this state. If she lost herself to her rage, to her emotions, nothing would be accomplished. Their journey to kill Mercutio and those associated with him had started as one of justice, and when she grew bitter, she turned it into revenge. Throughout the whole thing, her brother had expressed the need for justice; even when the Heroes had abandoned them in their cause. “I’ll make this right…” She murmured to herself, the sheer amount of void energy emanating from her buckling the park gates as she made her way through. “Even if this endeavour takes my life too…” [Exit] |

With being launched into the air it wasn't exactly like he had thought it would be. It was indeed the first time he and Mercutio were in tandem for a fight so it was to be expected. His shoulder screamed out with pain. For everything he had taken in his previous fight this was a new pain. It was more intense when the power shred through his shoulder, but he was easily able to jump clear up to the top of the bus facing off the young man. His face held a silent ferocity to it even with the light he gave off was pleasant and welcoming. Seems like you still have quite the grudge pent up in you. Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and hoping the other person to die. Look what he did to your arm. How long till something worse happens with Mercutio. He won't stop. He had hoped this turned hero would hear his words. There was always a point where it could be stopped. With Mercutio in the bus plotting it was only a matter of time before something occurred that changed the dynamics of this fight, he couldn't stand to lose. The hero lurched forward and gave a low groan of pain. His eyes grew wider, but they were filled with dread rather than anger. Turning to his partner his last testimony to her was similiar to Gavin's advise to him so recently, and at the end he collapsed on the roof with a lack luster thud. He laid motionless before Gavin. Gavin couldn't make sense of it. Nothing had happened and it didn't seem like the boy was injured prior or sickly. The girl took off before without grabbing him and it seemed it was over just like that. Gavin, with hurried pace, charged over to the body and saw the hole atop the bus. He reached for the gun in his waist band and it wasn't gone. Mercutio had it and Gavin was none the wiser during these moments. Would have been rather a sticky situation if he had needed to fire it and didn't have it. Blood was draining though on the roof and he was sure as shit not cleaning it. He had flip flops on so it wasn't going to be a good kick that got him off of there, he would have to push with his hands and he wasn't the strongest. Blood already pooled around him and so like his palms his arms soon were red like the former from sliding him off and gravity took the rest. A much louder thud and snap rang out as the body hit the concrete. Hey you knob, get out here and toss me a water bottle before this mess dries. Can't go through a washer from the bloody hole you put in our bus. You could have hit me too you know! And even worse I still got this rubbish shoulder now since you ended it too quickly. |

A subtle spin and Mercutio safetied his gun before tucking it away in his waistband. Scanning the room he found an unopened bottle of water and made his way to the roof where he let out a deep growl. "My roof... what a bitch. I am sure that isn't the last of her, but I am surprised she left in such a hurry? I thought she would lose her mind... I guess I didn't know her as well as I would have thought. Tsk... arrogance is so beneath me." said the arrogant asshole. Mercutio handed Gavin the bottle of water as he felt out the surrounding area. Only a few heartbeats hiding in the bushes, normies or plebs would be Mercutio's guess. Mostly likely the would call the officials, so they had very little time to play with; he knew as well that the gunshot was going to be heard from a distance and people would be arriving to see what the commotion was if another Hero didn't appear. "I would normally save this body much like Tsubomi's corpse for later experiments or bargaining chips... but I think letting the world know Demous is back is more important." he muttered, grabbing the corpse delicately and walking towards the wall the bus was cuddled up against. After a moment of searching, he found what he was looking for and yanked a piece of twisted rebar from the destroyed structure. Using this as a pin-hold, he speared Hikari's corpse to the wall and tore at his bullet wound while he morbidly hung lifeless. Using his blood as means of ink he crudely wrote on the wall above him. Demous Regalis Beneath the late boy's corpse he wrote, Expect Us A satisfied sigh resonated from within his chest as he expressed his thought in deeper detail. "This world needs another Evil to focus on. Oni has been gone for far too long and the balance is shifting. I'll get us going, we should head out of here." he ranted in simple Mercutio fashion. "Did you touch my manga collection?" he blurted randomly as though that was as big of a concern as anything else that just occurred. Edited by Reggie, Oct 16 2016, 03:24 PM.

A water bottle flew up to him finally and Gavin started to wash away the blood and flow away. With the blood sliding off the bus he chose to follow its path though to the part where there wasn't blood residue remaining. He went in to grab another bottle to wash his arms clean. Who knows what people have hidden in their blood. Coming back outside the water washed the red away till only his palms remained the crimson color. His feet were wet now so that was a rather bother, but they had bigger problems. His hair was an absolute mess! He couldn't been like this...or with the body he supposed. He turned to see where the body fell and the most wonderful sight Gavin could could imagine for this situation... Mercutio was like a starving artist, always trying to make a scene or statement to be noticed. That ego would be the end of him and probably Gavin, but it would be a fun time no doubt. Maybe a street side concert on the weekend or an alley way tussle. Gavin had his limit, but aside from his new lady he was rather bored of the day in day out routine. The school was school and he had to play it safe since they were still trying to figure him out. Why give someone you are monitoring access to you? Maybe they had some bigger plan or scheme involving him. With Mercutio painting their return and next to a corpse of a boy. This wouldn't be end well. Am I going to have to keep you out of jail all the time? Get in the bus you knob! Gavin dashed in and started it, but it seemed like Mercutio was the only one allowed to drive this bus. He brought up Oni as he sat down taking about new evils. I've been hearing some rumors about that thing, but nothing of late from U.A. I remember seeing it or feeling it when I first got here. You think you can really take that on? Gavin knew Mercutio was inherently in a different class of power than he was, but that was thing was overcoming in all senses of the word. If Mercutio wanted to go against him then they would need more people or least need to get stronger. Lets just get out of here and figure this out somewhere else. We need to fix this bus before you go all Oh boy, here I go killing again. Gave mimicked Mercutio's standard pouting somber face expression and hand made hand gun. |

"Hey, as a Brit you should understand ruined tea better than anyone and yes; in time we very well could, but that doesn't mean we would go through with it." he jested quietly as he lazily sat in the driver's seat. Mercutio caught the feeling that Gavin may be wanting to drive the bus himself. The expression on his face kind of gave it away. "If you want to drive, I don't care though we really should get a move on." he urged apathetically. Not that I fear the law, but I really want this dent and hole fixed." Mercutio drove as nonchalantly as possible away from what he assumed were the speeding vehicles making their way to the scene of the crime. Mercutio pulled free his mask and inhaled sharply. "It's a damn heat box, I swear. What a poor choice on my part. Anyway, to the matters on hand... do you know any mechanics by chance? I could probably fix the dent and make the payments, but it's really not my expertise." he said, eyes on the road as a cop car passed by. "Thankfully they can't see the top of the vehicle, eh you fockin' knob." he said mocking, using Gavin's own favorite insult against him. Edited by Reggie, Oct 16 2016, 06:57 PM.

With them finally in motion Gavin could breathe a bit. It must have been the adrenaline in him, but with the action dying down throbbing pain sent shocks through his shoulder. His free arm clutched his shoulder and his hand lit up. The pain quickly subsided, but in his chest he felt the weight of it being stored. This was the biggest injury he had yet to think of it, but he had never had anything up his sleeve for the next event. Should be fun to try if they get into another squabble. I had a client with a seedy shop, if he can't help us then he will know someone. Its over in tatooine though. That place seems to attract everyone, both heroes and some nefarious blokes as well. Maybe we can find some other stuff to get us going on your crusade. Mercutio wanted to get cheeky with him. At least was paying for this after Gavin had gotten a bum shoulder. Maybe he could milk it for a bit. Just get some sushi and we can call it even. And I did mess your manga collection, but you won't know which one I hid. Get us to the shop and sushi without fighting and I'll give it back...maybe. Tech/Lp

"You fucking bastard..." he barked as he drove to the location while considering where he could have stashed it. There was one damn rule, and he molested it... The garage wasn't too far away and Mercutio promptly pulled in without asking as the man who appeared to be attending the air approach the van with a face full of confusion. Mercutio strolled out and immediately began speaking, "No talking, just listen. I will pay whatever amount is needed and I won't mind. I just need this to stay between you and I... and Gavin." he added, giving a nodding gesture to the van before he began to stroke the man's ego. "He says you're the best mechanic in Tokyo and I wanted to see. My main concern is the hole in the roof that totally isn't from a bullet as well as the massive dent in the top, other than that... invisibility capability is sweet and as a man of your ability I assume that would be rather cheap and easy." he cooed, his crimson aura swirling up and gathering together in a finger-like manner as it caressed his face. Mercutio's eyes began to glow a deep color of crimson, becoming bold instead of holding their normal pale shade. The door to the garage slammed shut behind them and locked as Mercutio's aura stormed wildly within the garage. Mercutio hoped it would be enough to coherence the man into helping them. "Scratch my back and I'll scratch yours." he laughed while his eyes traced the interior of the build before noticing a poster in the owner's office; it was that of a manga character. "You like manga, eh?" he said with a devilish smile. [End] |
