General Appearance: Aishi is an older man, with his face just barely starting to enter the wrinkling phase. He's very scruffy and unwashed, his hair and beard unkempt. Due to his quirk, he passively radiates glow from his skin, enough that it hurts to look at him for prolonged periods of time. He's missing a few teeth and is fairly thin in nature due to his very bad diet.
| Clothing: On a day to day basis, Aishi wears a bunch of old, dirty and used hoodies that he has scavenged, giving him the appearance of being much larger than he actually is, as well as other general unclean items of clothing - worn out trousers, socks with holes in them, a few pairs of shoes that are falling apart, the lot. When he's doing heroics at night, he wears a fairly well preserved Kabuki mask and a pair of briefs, though he is naked otherwise.
| Personality: Aishi has something that could be classified as a personality disorder, but really comes about due to the nature of his quirk. During the day, the sunlight makes Aishi weaker, putting him in a funk state of mind of sort. He gets depressed and feels kinda hopeless. He scavenges, loiters, and whatever money comes his way goes to cat food for his cat companion in homelessness, Inute. However, if Inute has scavenged some food to himself, Aishi would usually turn to spend it on booze. Booze is one of the only ways to get him out of his daily funk and have him be a bit more proactive. During the night, Aishi gets a bit of a power trip from being under starlight. He ditches his clothes in favour of his 'disguise' (Inute is left to 'guard' the clothes) and he takes to the roofs. He's much more active and sociable at night, and can even act outright like a hero, a "shining example" har har. Although his actions are still commited under vigilantism, he never acts the executioner - he'd help out or stop a crime as such and leave it to the authorities. He also doesn't commit any crimes of his own, although he well could.

History:
History: Aishi was the brightest person in his class. He always had the best grades, he finished tests way ahead of most peers, he didn't even need to study for most subjects that he had to undertake. And that's why nobody liked him. Now, of course, you'd think that he looked horrible or maybe he was disfigured in some way - otherwise, at least the girls would have had the hots for him, right? Well, not at all. While the boys always teased him about being a nerd and such (though he, admittedly, openly and unashamedly was all about anime throughout his entire school life, so that went beyond just his knowledge), the girls could never look at him. Aishi constantly glowed with a soft light, ever since his Quirk manifested itself. The light wasn't blinding, but it was annoying enough that you couldn't look at him for too long.
He was, of course, still very smart and did well at school. But ever since his Quirk manifested, so annoying that he himself figured it was more of a curse than a power, people couldn't really look at him, and he'd always be noticed. With a bright light like that, people are always inclined to look. Aishi was constantly moved to the back of the class, so he wouldn't shine at others and distract them. When he left the house at any time it was getting dark, he had to wear long trousers and a hoodie so his glow wouldn't cause any accidents. The hardest time for Aishi was probably just after his quirk manifested, and whenever he closed his eyes to sleep he'd feel the glow of light despite being used to the darkness of night.
Aishi graduated with top grades and no friends. He couldn't get a proper photo of himself taken because he'd just look like a glowing blur to the camera lens. All his official documents looked like someone took a picture of a white screen of a mobile phone.
The man's true problems began after graduation. He couldn't drive, because if he looked in the mirror he'd see his own light shine back at him, as would any other driver that saw him. He tried many times to get many various jobs, but despite having great qualifications, he was just... repulsive. Although yes, grades were important, people couldn't even properly look at Aishi. He'd annoy co-workers and at a starting position he'd be too new to be allowed work without any supervision. Not to mention, he slightly lacked proper social skills due to, well, his too well lit school life.
After a year and a half of living at home with his parents and searching for jobs, Aishi, rather disheartened, took up a job as sewer system maintenance. He was constantly underground with his crew members, and he was dubbed "The Human Torch" due to his unique ability to light up the darkest areas with his presence alone. His work at the company managed to help it save a lot of money by not buying or recharging lighting equipment. Although at first Aishi detested the idea of having to work with his Quirk instead of his head, he soon found that the job wasn't... TERRIBLE. Other sewer workers were pretty cool, and despite his slight awkwardness, they all had a real friendship. A camaraderie. He even found that he could help out in the job with the knowledge he's had.
His happy streak ended when his parents got into a car accident. While his mother died on the spot, his father was taken to the hospital to be kept alive by the life support system. This instantly put pressure on Aishi - he didn't own the house, and neither did his parents. As they were gone, he'd have to pay off the rent for it. The home had a lot of memories, but it was also too large for Aishi, so he gave up on it and opted for a small rental apartment. From that point on, everything kind-of fell apart. His payments were adequate for the job he was doing, and nobody could claim that it was unfair, but Aishi had to pay for his living and food and his father's hospital bills and his mother's funeral, and it just wasn't enough. His friends, of course, did their best to help, but they all had their own lives and couldn't contribute much. Just hanging on a thread, and selling his possessions, Aishi managed to juuuust scrape by on all of that.
The world, of course, had other plans for him. Through a very lucrative business deal with another company, the sewer tunnels were fitted with their own cheap lighting system - just cheap enough to render Aishi obsolete. There were many other workers who could be hired for cheaper money and do a better job. And although he understood the situation, Aishi simply couldn't bring himself not to scream and threaten the company's manager when he was called in to be terminated. With a heavy heart, Aishi had to end his job - and though he had his friends, they couldn't really meet outside of work. He soon faded into the status of a memory in their hearts.
A few hours after his termination, Aishi was stuck with another decision to make - he could climb up to a tall building and jump, or hop in front of a train, or maybe from a bridge straight into water. He took his time thinking about it - for example, if he was REALLY high up people wouldn't notice him against the starry night sky, but he'd also make a big mess. They'd notice him on a bridge, but he'd die without a mess. There were other ways to go, too. To his credit, Aishi didn't try jumping until 2 months into his homelessness. Every day he told himself that he'd end it and every day he'd scrape by on trash. He'd go to sleep muttering that he'd do it and wake up waiting for the night so he could do it.
It's hard to pinpoint exactly what broke him and got him to actually do it, but he climbed a really tall building, glowing gently against the night sky, looked down off the ledge at the road, many stories down from him, and he took a step forward. He felt the rush of air around him as he began falling, but it was instantly cut off by him being grabbed by both arms and pulled up to the roof. It took him a few seconds to realize that he wasn't falling, a few more to realize that he was saved and another few to realize that there wasn't any commotion.
The gentle face of a woman stared at his face when he opened his eyes. She was looking over him as if to make sure he was okay. He couldn't tell exactly what happened, so he sat up. And she slapped him gently. So shockingly gently that it felt more like a kiss, rather than a slap. She was wearing a skin tight suit, the suit of a hero. She sat down in front of him and took his hands in hers, and she held them together gently, warmly.
Aishi turned to putty in front of her. For all the emotionless muttering of "I'm gonna do it", before her he, for some reason, just broke down and said everything. She didn't stop him or interject. She looked at his eyes and listened. After he told her his entire life story, she asked him if he was in any way hurt. When he told her that he wasn't, she slapped him hard enough to knock him down.
It took him a few seconds to stand back up and yell at her - or rather, open his mouth to yell, but then notice the stream of tears slipping down her cheeks and dripping down her chin. He took a deep breath instead of yelling, and he smiled at her. She sniffed, blinked and slowly smiled back.
The next few months was akin to a dream, a holiday and hardcore psychological therapy. Without a fault, every single day as the night fell, she would come to where he always slept and bring him some food and money. They'd sit and chat about how their day went. She would talk about her crime fighting. He would talk about his job hunting. They'd laugh together at the goofier times, and frown together at the endless job rejections, but in the end, they had fun. One day, she arrived with a box in her arms and tears streaming down her face. In the box was a small kitty that she had rescued from a bunch of hooligans. It was blind, it had matted fur and it smelled almost as bad as Aishi did. Aishi instantly took the kitty under his care, giving it the name Inute. He cared for it all the time. She cared for both of them whenever she could. It was one very weird and sad situation and somehow they all got back on their feet.
The day that ended her streak of daily arrivals was the day an insanely strong villain punched a hole through her chest.
Although... that happened on the street right where Aishi and Inute lived, so in a sense, she did arrive. Although he outclassed her severely, Aishi and Inute got trapped in the alleyway during a particularly bad crisis. They were both hiding behind a dumpster, hoping that they wouldn't be harmed. Although a few more appropriate pro heroes were in the middle of dealing with all the mess, she arrived out of nowhere. It was probably some weird passion between them that prompted her to come to his aid. Perhaps she had become too attached to him. That's what Aishi thought when he saw the villain tear through her with ease, killing her on the spot.
15 minutes later, with the villain subdued, Aishi and Inute were rescued. He was questioned and tended to, but he wouldn't speak. He just... stared into space before him. He'd probably be stuck in that weird PTSD state forever, had Inute not wandered up to him and scratched at his ankle, strongly enough to jolt him. With that, Aishi went from vegetable to depressed. After the questioning, he and Inute disappeared from the scene. They wandered for a bit until they found another nice alleyway to live in. Aishi spent the rest of that day crying, mourning and cuddling Inute. A few hours later, under the glow of stars, he stared into the night sky and in his eyes burnt... a passion. To be like her. To carry on her spirit. She had someone that cared about her. He had nobody anymore, other than Inute, but the cat could manage. It got strong enough to live on its own if it needed to, and Aishi also knew that cats would eat their owners if they were dead, because he read that somewhere once. Since that night, he stopped hating his glow, and started exploring it. And as he explored it, he found that he could do much more than just glow. It took about a week of work, hidden away from the sight of regular people, for Aishi to find himself as Twilight, the defender of the Night that is powered by the very universe itself (for the shine of the night awakened the otaku in him as well). He took it to the rooftops and streets every night to patrol, and do his best to be just like her, danger of death be damned.

Combat, Stats & Earnings:
Combat: Aishi wouldn't usually fight during the day - he'd rather run away or just guard himself. If something came to the point of threatening his life, or the wellbeing of Inute in any way, he'd get serious and maybe even use his power. Under his nightly persona "Twilight", he'd jump into trouble and not be afraid to kick some ass when he can. He can fire cosmic rays as projectiles but he'd save those for goons that he can't beat up.
