Name: Boxer's Gift (tier 2 Body Manipulation quirk) Ability: The bearer's arms are made of a slightly golden, incredibly tough material (plus 1 letter grade to Stamina for purposes of the arms' material strength), and can be elongated and retracted again at will to a range of +.5% of their normal length per letter grade. (For instance, E rank would let them extend to 1.5x their normal length, D rank to 2x, C rank to 2.5x, and so on to a maximum of 4x normal length at S rank.) Limitations: - The increased length can inflict added physical stress on the body when in use. If the user breaks the limit, debuff of -2 Stamina for 2 turns as you strain your body with their use. Brawler License; Hardened Fighter Cost- 2 EP Description- Abillity: +1 stat grade in Speed when fighting unarmed Edited by trypfagge, Sep 11 2016, 08:24 PM.

The control portions wont work. You can make the materiel rank of the arms higher. Such as "Based on the stamina of the user their arms gained increased materiel rank of 1 letter grade. D stamina is C materiel rank. Limitation needs a going over your limit debuff. By extending arms do you mean you shape manipulate them is all ways or do they just elongate? |

I meant elongation only. As for the limit break, I can add one easily enough. I was sort of basing this off of the 4 Arms mutation, which doesn't have one. I figured, mechanically, they're pretty much equal. 4 Arms gets to do things that would require extra hands, Boxer's Gift gets tougher arms and the advantage of being able to stretch a little. How's this? Name: Boxer's Gift Ability: The bearer's arms are made of a slightly golden, incredibly tough material (plus two letter grades to Stamina for purposes of the arms' material strength), and they can be elongated to three times their length and retracted again at will. Limitations: - They're very tough and longer than usual, but in the end they're just arms, limited by the structural capabilities of the body they're attached to. If the user breaks the limit, debuff of -2 Stamina for 2 turns as you strain your body with their use. |

Okay, on my initial read-through of the rules I missed the fact that Control is a derived stat instead of one you buy with XP. That makes my original idea for a Limitation completely pointless. Sorry about that. |

Not 2 letter grades. 1like is stated. You can stretch them according to the techniques rank control. Found at the bottom of the rules page in techniques. |

Hell, I meant to make it one grade. Sorry. As for the stretching, I had intended to make triple the length a hard limit, not having seen the range chart. That works for me, though. Thanks. With that kind of length, though, I might just declare it to be a pair of tentacle that come out of my wrists (1 each) rather than my arms extending, if that's okay. (It just works better aesthetically.) Edited by trypfagge, Sep 11 2016, 12:39 AM.

The arms just getting longer is fine. The length part is fine, just mention that is the hard limit. Like C ran can extend twice the length and B rank is 3x the length. Make the edits in the original and we should be good for some check offs. |

Excellent. I love the idea of them them getting slightly longer by stages, a mechanical representation of his body slowly adapting to the added torque that longer limbs would inflict on it. Very nice, sir. I'm glad I thought of it. For the record, I had envisioned this as more of a low tier but subtly useful "pseudo-cybernetic monkey arms" sort of thing rather than "Slap a ho from a thousand feet". I should have made that more clear from the start. My mistake. (It should come as no surprise that I initially came up with the idea while reading up on gibbons and their unique wrist structure.) Name: Boxer's Gift Ability: The bearer's arms are made of a slightly golden, incredibly tough material (plus 1 letter grade to Stamina for purposes of the arms' material strength), and can be elongated and retracted again at will to a range of +.5% of their normal length per letter grade. Thank you. Higher tier than I would have expected. Out of curiosity, just how do you calculate a quirk's level? |

Lots of factors. You get a free stats so that makes it increased some and then other factors. |

Ah. Okay. I take it you mean the material strength bonus. Honestly, that seems so situational I had thought that it would wind up being more of a flavor thing than an actual mechanical bonus, like the fact that Wolverine has an unbreakable skeleton. Neat, but not likely to have a direct influence on the game. I take it that in this system it has benefits I'm not seeing yet. I'll keep that in mind. Anyway, one more thing for approval when you've got a moment. It's just a re-fluff of the first Bladed License enhancement. Brawler License; Hardened Fighter Cost- 2 EP Description- Abillity: +1 stat grade in Speed when fighting unarmed (Oh, and are socially and thematically oriented enhancements mechanically appropriate, or is that something that should be handled entirely abstractly? The character is a guitarist, and I could very much see him taking something related to that even if it's not optimal from a "gaming" perspective.) Edited by trypfagge, Sep 11 2016, 09:25 AM.

Please edit what the official quirk will be into the original first post of this thread. You have my 2/2 after that. I'm okay with Brawler License, since it's just a reformatting of a pre-existing enhancement. 1/2 |

Story based flavor is free like guitar or languages known. Its our job to find a way make the quirk op/broken. I wont say how you could do this, but the materiel rank, as we call it, of you arms is stronger then you give it credit. Defensively you have a big advantage having a letter grade stronger ranked arms. |

Cool. Gives me something to discover about the character. Original post edited and the Brawler Enhancement added. Thanks for your time. |
